I hope so, but hell even last year it would work for like a week then verizon/nfl would release a "performance" upgrade, which all it did was patch the app. So then you would have to wait another 2 weeks for it to get hacked again and only work for a few more days before another "performance" upgrade again.
Plus I think that now you have to actually link an account number to the app (im not a 100% if that is true, but I did read it somewhere) Whereas before the hack was just using a store demo phone number...it will be ALOT harder to hack it if thats the case.

The NFL/Verizon exclusive app is strictly poor business.
Why restrict an app for the most popular sport in America to one carrier?
Whoever decided to make this Verizon only should be terminated.
It's no wonder Verizon has difficulty settling a labor agreement.
All their money is tied up in licensing fees.
I have a feeling this hack is dead to bad it was a nice app, I always hate having to go to websites to watch other games.

Yeah,directv has screwed me over for the 3 years i've been with them for sunday ticket.
When I first signed up with them, they told me I got it for free. But then once they came and set it up they told me that they didn't process the order in time, therefor I missed out on sunday ticket for free.
Then I moved, and they had that big deal about "movers connection, we set you up for free and give you sunday ticket for no cost". Well, wouldn't you know it I move and they set me up for free, but according to them "I missed being a loyal customer by 8 days, therefor I am not eligible for the sunday ticket offer"
I think my best bet (if not going to verizon) is I am going to switch to dishtv, they offer slingbox with their boxes and you can get the redzone channel for $7.99/mo.
Directv doesnt just offer redzone, you have to buy the whole damn package. $400 for a season of football is insane.
This isn't a "bash direct tv" thread, its a "hack nfl mobile" thread. Let's keep it that way so maybe some nice dev will do just that. And maybe figure out a way to keep it working all season.
also would love this for my iconia tab. its great on my tiny INC2 screen...

I just called and talked to multiple CSR's and out of the 4 I talked to none of them could find anymore information or confirm anything other than BB's pre order and the fact that it will release with mobile hot spot.

They read rumors off the internet and many of them do not seem to be able to ask the higher ups if rumors are correct, they will just tell them what you have read on blog sites of people who are not in the know.

I had slim hopes as well. Sorry, but there isn't going to be a surprise release of a phone without at least a few days notice.
The Verizon chat representative was probably going, "Hey Sa'irah, I'm so sick of people asking about the TB, lets get this guy going. 'Yes, the TB will be available to order tomorrow.' 'Yes, you'll be able to purchase it as well.' ".

Alright fellas, since I have already got 12 of the TP's I will give you all a giant tip. There is one store that has at least 3 in every store I've been too. The price is higher but the do price match and come with a carrying case which best buy TP's don't. Head to your local Aaron's Sales and Lease. Do not tip them off that you want to buy all their stock if you call to check on quantity otherwise they will just say they have one. Aaron's typically will lease these out at $50.00 per month for a year and they like to make money just as much as the next Joe. I personally made the mistake at the first store but learned my lesson after this.
Please do not ruin this for everyone by calling every Aaron's store and telling them you will buy "their stock" and tell them the price drop over the phone as they are oblivious to it at this point. Once the employee learns of the drop in price they will magically end up reserved when in reality they will buy them and sell them. I want to see my awesome devs here on the Evo 3d forums get them before others, hence the post in these forums and not the HP Touchpad forums.
Good luck, and once again call and ask if they have "1" in stock. Drive, walk, fly, and or skip to the store, but do not ask total stock until you are in the store and ask them to price match Best Buy or you will fail (i experienced this in the first store).

Unless you are in a small town there should be plenty of stores. I just realized also stores similar to aarons like rent a center may carry them also. It's worth a look.

Sorry this is a dumb question, I called my local Aarons and they have some, so I'm going to head up there when I get a chance to get away from my desk, but I'm confused at how this place works. They charge you monthly if you wanna rent-to-own, but can you buy them flat-out too and they'll price match? So I should be able to bring in a print-out from best buy or hp.com and I'll be able to walk out with one at $149 or $99?
I just called and placed one on hold for tomorrow. Aarons is a rent to own store, correct? They will just let you buy one outright for 99.99? Will they price match even if best buy is out of stock? I always thought they would have to at least be available for the competitor to price match.

Just a warning for you guys. I called three Aaron's around my city (phx, az) and it seems that they have become wise to this price drop and are now bundling them with computers. If your local Aaron's is selling them separate then jump on it!

I found some stores by me that have stock. Some of them are in more "rural" areas and lemme tell you, those people are a fack ton nicer and polite that the dikheads in blue at worstbuy. Very helpful. They def have no idea whats gong on with the fire sale. They said they were out but unloading a truck as we speak and 6 are on it. They are even holding some for me! Hopefully it goes through. The toughest part is going to be price matching. Here are links to online retailers sites if anyone is interested..... I think you got lucky with the employee you spoke with. When I called the woman I spoke to was trying to get all my info over the phone to start a contract on the touchpad. She seemed kind of aggressive. I hope she doesn't give me a hard time. I just want to purchase one, not all.

So I was helping a guy at the home depot I work at. I saw the Guy had a S2 skyrocket and asked him how he liked it, then I showed him my Note I just got. Turns out he works for AT&T corporate. He new about the Note but wasn't really familiar with it, so I got my gadget geek on and showed off what the Note can do and then talked about the network around Atlanta.
So I went into work for an hour today to help out on a special order and I had a message with a contact number. So I call and it's someone from at&t, she told me that Guy I helped was so impressed with my knowledge and passion on mobile that he gave the info he had on me to her. Now she wants me to come in and discuss opportunities with business sales. It's face to face stuff mostly (not a call center).
Update: Got an interview on Tuesday at one of their corporate offices.
Update2: So I interviewed with them on Tuesday and it went very well. They said they have some in house promotions about to happen in a few weeks to a month and they would be contacting me again when they know more about the upcoming opens on their floor. It would be a 8-5 job with base salary and commission with business sales in the mobility division.
"Buy a galaxy note, get a job offer."
New marketing campaign.

I could sell the sh*t out of some phones. Haha. It's funny how uninformed the sales clerks are at some stores. I literally saw an At&t employee trying to sell an iPhone to a guy based purely on Siri, and couldn't even get it to work. Her explanation was that "it just doesn't work sometimes, but it's still a really great feature"
Sad thing was, the guy walked out with an iPhone that day. If only I could have saved his poor soul...

I had a post about this the other day and I totally can agree... its bad how they will hire people who don't know what they are doing but you get a bad rap from the go ernment and they wont hire you even though it was in the general basis... I went to three different att and a bestbuy asking he managers about the note not even two weeks ago and they acted like I was talking about space travel -.-

This actually happened to me too! Except not with a Galaxy Note and not AT&T but Verizon! I knew more than the guy they were training and actually troubleshooted a customer and the regional sales manager offered me a job! Too bad I don't go to school where I live :/

No he Just remembered my name and gave a description of me to a coworker and she called my HD and left a message with a number to contact her. I didn't know what it was for when I called. Then she telling me that I impressed this Guy so much and asked me if I would be interested in changing careers.

Just went to a Verizon store to get a DNA with a $100 off promotion. While I was tinkering with the phone the rep looked up the deal. He said said I should wait till 5/14 because they will have a free promotion. So I'm gonna wait. Till then. Hope this helps.

I expect an HTC one announcement shortly after 5/14 (30 days ?). Typical VZW. Will offload the phone on thousands of people and lock them into 2 year contracts before the new model comes along.

Offload the phone? For someone who bought the DNA 5 months ago it may not have been realistic to wait until late May for the next option.
Personally I'm very happy with the DNA and to act like Verizon scammed you by selling it to you is a little silly if you ask me.

It looks like the S4 had been released or already pre orders. I'm sorry but I haven't don't my due diligence researching on the One. But how does it stand above the DNA? And has it even been confirmed its coming to Verizon?
If this is real my friend might give android over ios a shot. His iphone 4 is starting to get hardware issues everywhere.

I got mine in January and I am content with it as well. This phone does everything I need it to easily. I don't play many games on it because I would rather do that on xbox..... so instead of saving my money for a new phone I am saving for the new xbox.

The sales rep said you enter your email and a unique bar code is generated and then take that to the Verizon store to receive the free DNA. I don't know if I'll have the time before work, but as guess i can wait till after..... Wouldn't get to much work accomplished with new toy. I am going to ask if the they have any 1.5 firmware phones. Seems like a long shot but someone else was successful in finding one.

I just had an online chat with VZW customer service to see if I could confirm the rumor. Here is the result:
"The DNA is free will be free at this time there is a website error so the correct price is not showing up we are working on this now we are very sorry for the inconvenience. It should be fixed later today."

My wife and I went into the ATT store in our neighborhood Saturday for her to pick between a SGS4 and a One, and see if we could get her an early upgrade. She's not due for an early upgrade until July and her Samsung Infuse is not performing well anymore and we wanted to take advantage of their trade-in offer. After waiting for about half an hour and haggling with a sales associate and the manager, the were not convinced and we left empty handed. A co-worker put me up to calling customer service and after explaining the situation and our in-store experience and a brief hold, the rep came back with some awesome news! She was approved to not only let my wife have the early upgrade, but a FREE upgrade to the black 64GB! And just to sweeten the deal, she threw in free overnight shipping!!! We're expecting it to arrive tomorrow. I think i'll keep the black one and let her have my silver 64GB.
All of those TMOUS and VZ subscribers who say ATT has terrible customer service have no idea. I have been with ATT since 2006 and have never needed to call customer service. This is not bad for a first experience!

Thats the funny thing because i didnt even tell her we were treated poorly in the store, but i think thats how she interpreted it. All i said was that my wife's phone is i sad shape and the store would not honor an early upgrade.

Thats the funny thing because i didnt even tell her we were treated poorly in the store, but i think thats how she interpreted it. All i said was that my wife's phone is i sad shape and the store would not honor an early upgrade.

U just got very lucky. That one experience does not mean all of ATT is that way. Believe me you can call with the same question 5 times and get 5 different answers..been there A LOT with ATT. Go to vegas soon my friend, before your luck runs out
I came from an Infuse as well. I wish Scott would come over here. I miss my BeanStalk. BTW I came up with the logo for that. Lol.

I got the same treatment. I called told them why I needed an early upgrade 30 mins later I got my confirmation email with shipping info.
Att has been great to me.

I simple told the Rep that I need my upgrade 2 months early because my current phone wasn't working for me anymore. she understood my problem and said retention department could help me. Five mins later she came back and said since I was nice and in good standing that she could approve my upgrade and wave my upgrade fee. I need a larger screen due to losing most of my eye sight in an accident she said the only draw back was I'd have to pay for whatever phone I wanted right then . So I told thanks and then spoke with her supervisor letting him know how great she was. Being very decent is the key even if you need to speak to a supervisor ask nicely and erasure the Rep that you understand that she help as much as they could. So I paid for my phone and they shipped it out ocernight. Be patient be pleasant they get ****tiy people calling all the time so it helps to be nice.

Co-worker got a similar deal. His problem was that the online system would cancel his order immediately after completing it. It happened twice. He called not to complain, but simply to order the phone and got it free with free overnight shipping. His account was eligible for an upgrade, though.
The store manager has the power to give u an early upgrade within 30 days of the eligible date. Its funny BC some managers will say well it has to be in the same calendar month or ah it's gotta be within 14 days. U got lucky!
