First I was running Coderom 2x-2b and everything was great then i flashed gingerreal 1.1 and my quadrant score was maximum 1000 but it was fast and snappy then I flashed Fla.Sh X2 and factory reseted and wiped the cache and it's even faster than Gingerreal but the Quadrant score is still low!!
What's the problem???
Quadrant has a bug with 2.3.4..... The results are irrelevant.... Coderom is based on 2.3.4... flash & gingerreal are based on 2.3.3...
Don't depend on those scores to judge a rom...
Ok, I wasn't depending on the scores or anything coz the rom is so fast and excellent but I just wanted to know what's wrong because other people get high scores
another quadrant score fetish. lol
lol... I never check quadrant... just use the phone for a day or 2, and you would know which is the best suited rom for you..
If u do rely on quadrant than don't take into consideration the final score.. just check the graphic test part (2d and 3d) and compare the FPS.. the higher the better..

Hello XDA
This is my first tome to start a thread, hopefully I do it right
I am just confused on how ROMs show High Benchmark results in there screenshots, but when I try to do a benchmark on my Ace I get a VERY Low result compared to what it's supposed to be, Though I have made sure no apps are running in the background, and cleared my RAM, even after checking the Media tweak, Still Very low result, Can anyone Clarify me on how to make my phone better or is that I am doing something wrong?
I am using the glmst v2 KPO ROM
Don't even worry about it. With coderom I had 1927 max. Now with gingerReal I only get 1000+, but I feel this rom much better. So I dont rely anymore on quadrant scores. I suggest you to do the same.
even if u got trillion benchmark score it doesnt mean anything.. nowadays benchmark score is crap, doesnt mean a squat. i said that because gingerbread had some problem with quadrant, thus its result is inconsistent. even there are rom makers that spoof quadrant score by tinkering with phone i/o value to make their rom looks like it got highest benchmark score. i even found an app here on xda that automate that i/o spoof, install it and u'll get godlike quadrant score.
edited: the app to spoof benchmark score like i said is that in skynet post below. that should spike anyone quadrant score to 5000
Quadrant benchmark does not mean anything....its only relevant for lagfix or filesystem changes or some kernel tweaks. Otherwise it can be hacked easily to show high benchmark scores. Someone even showed quadrant benchmark above 2100 in ace by an app which hacked quadrant .
Yes there is even an app called quadrant booster which utilizes i/o hack to boost scores by Doomlord here-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17110408
Ok thanks guys..... Its that it gets annoying when u dont get what the rom promises ya
i have franco kernel 2.6.35.14 & overclocked at 729 using setcpu
Why my quadrant score is only 886, have seen some quadrant result for optimus one that reaches around 2000. How they do it?

886 - suppose you use stock Gingerbread, it's normal as it's not optimised and doesn't have the performance patches found in oxygen or cyanogenmod rom. Actually all it matters is user experience - if it's smooth enough and can handle other things good enough you don't need to care about benchmarks, and benchmarks are just for showing off.
Reaching 2000+ is a result of using a2sd and its variants. It doesn't really matter as it's only a small little boost to performance.
Dude use antutu benchmark..quadrant is no longer reliable ..it shows fake results with a2sd n 0ther shyt..you know what ? When i was on miks rom +franco kernel+ungaze+zram i got a score of 2600..but performance was nt that great n battery drain was huge ..now wid 2.3.3 based roms like openoptimus, blackbird ,aga etc my phone is even smooth n efficicient..however a differenece of 250~ (antutu)is ppssible between cyan roms etc nd official gingerbread based ones..

Antutu isnt a good benchmark too, with a better SD you will have a better score... Nenamark is another good benchmark
None of the scores really matter, its just the user experience which matters
yup got the answer result is not important.
After installing franco kernel phone became smooth as butter with increase in speed by overclocking.
Thanks Guys
anyone tried benchmarks on honeycomb...? please share some results.... that will help all decide to update to HC or not on performance grounds....
thnx
Which benchmarks. Will depend if user is running a rom

general ones quadrant, linpack ,pi ,antutu , browsermark and others... i was asking about official rom HC 3.2.1
benchmark
I ran the Quadrant app. dont know much about it, guess I did it correctly- I ran the full benchmark and my device scored 2096. I've ran it 3 times, each time it scores between 1900-2000 range. my device is a stock View 4G upgraded to Honeycomb through system updates. I updated over wifi, I don't have a sprint data plan. hope this helps-
Quadrant is same as it was on GB interesting!!! 3D n 2D benchmark scores on GB were quite low... i guess honeycomb wont affect these thing these r mainly depend on GPU n processor...
there will b just marginal difference...
With Nenemark2 i get 23-25 fps on Honeycomb
GB it was around 12-14 fps
Vellamo between 850-1100 - dont remember GB results
I would ask you not to mention specific ROMs
When the HD2 came out, the first months it was all about benchmark results...
There were ROM ranking lists based on benchmarks... but the comunity realized fast this was pure bull**** so it stopped after a while
Cooks optimized only for specfic benchmarks to get on top casue people started looking only at results... which often had nothin to do wit real life performance

after reading thing i might move to honeycomb .... so we get improved graphics perfomance.....
and vellamo was 820 on GB...
so flyer was under powered with GB...
i heard 1.5 ghz processor was also under powered so i guess bechmark pi will also give better result...
thanx man please test some more on HC... antutu gave a bad score with GB
Hi guys, can someone tell me how to get my P500 perform fastest it can? What ROM is fastest, and i don't care about battery, just want it to be the fastest it can! And also what aditional tweeks and programs/kernels to instal to make it faster?
In this moment i am using mic_os 6.5.7 android 2.3.5 CPU 825/245 Mhz Performance, with only settings, LG keyboard and setCPU running apps using 83MB of RAM alltogether, highest score i got is 1317 points, and about 1250 average.
Is this the fastest this phone can go...? :/ I have seen some posts where some guys got it too like 1500! That is my magic target number! Soo, any help..?

Try using chainfire 3d from market

I'm getting 1800 score in quadrant
NightlyFourE + Franco.K #4 + Ungaze data2sd
Try popdog123 oxygen 2.6 with Franco #4. 825/480 performance/sio.
Add ungaze data2sd with 1gb ext4 and p500 will not run fast. It will FLY SLOW.
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA
try this : see my signature there the neocore result, and the rom name too
Use cyanogenmod nightly @ 787MHz + PERFORMANCE Governer
Thx guys for replies, i will test these combinations one by one and post results here...
Also will test new ICS beta4.
This is what i came up with till now, will update it soon! If you have any more suggestions, please tell me...
I also tried to play HVGA (with sound) version of GTA 3 on all ROMS exept ICS and i must say that the Perfectpeso2.2 was frikin fastest, still lags pretty much on GTA 3 but playable. too bad in this one is clock cap at 806 mhz...:/
And i am pretty dissapointed in ICS results, cuz it is soo nice looking and fresh but damn slow...:/
i didn't use Ungaze cuz it just makes files between phone and SD card move more faster, right? Soo i don't think it will improve gaming speed...
i will put an ICS to my phone to test it for few days and see if it is nice, but after that, i am definately going on Perfectpeso! At least ps1, and Mame 32 games will run smooth now!
And if anyone knows a way to play full HVGA version of GTA3 on P500 please reply! But i think that ripped version will now run smooth! (the one with lower graphics and no sound)
Results: I choose the best results i got from these tests...and exept ICS there is a little difference in power between these ROM's as you can see in benchmarks:
1.NightlyFourE + Franco.K #4
825Mhz
a few runs
Quadrant standard - around 1300
3 runs
Neocore - 62
2. Perfectpeso2.2
806Mhz
3 runs
Quadrant Standard - 1336
3 runs
Neocore 806Mhz - 70.8
3.CM 9 Ics Beta 4
806Mhz
3 runs
Quadrant Standard - 946
4.oxygen 2.3.2
806Mhz
3 runs
quadrant standard - 1307
3 runs
neocore - 63.1
Here is my issue, i decided to randomly run quadrant and found out i had bad results.
Around 3000, i had very low memory and i/o scores, memory being 2000 and i/o around 5000. I then flashed speedmod kernel and got even lower results, 2811 quadrant and 1500 memory, which is far from the default expected values. This happened in GB whith checrom V6 and Siyah Kerner, CM9 and SlimICS with both speedmod and fluxx kernel.
Antutu scores are lower then 6000 ranging from 4900 with SlimICS 5400 with GB and 5300 with CM9, i got back to Slim and cleared cache and got 5900, but quandrant still was performing poorly
You shouldn't rely on quadrant scores to decide whether the ROM is good or not, you should make that judgement for yourself. Sometimes, developers of ROMs make tweaks to purposely increase the quadrant scores.

I was just trying to see if there was something wrong with my phone. Not that i would keep the highest numbered ROM. That's why i got worried, the scores were low in almost all of them
Really want to test, flash stock rom and see the numbers flying

you can try using different kernels with different cpu governors to see a difference in benchmarks.
Bench marking and quadrant scores are for *******.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
Basic problem is benchmarks vary from one run to another and are not reliable .
jje
Will a higher score change the way you use your phone?
What difference do the scores mean? Does it make your phone unuseable when you get a lower score? What answers are you hoping to get?
Dont use benchmarks....they arent needed, we already know our phone is fast...just use the phone and enjoy it

lmao
Its all relative to the rom you're using. CM9 I found scored lower on benchmarks, but on real life usage people report better performance
CM7 scored higher for me then stock based GB roms, quite comfortably. So that was the other way round.
However, WanamLite ICS which im using now scores between 6200 and 6300 for me, highest being 6330.
Again its all very relative to the rom you're using. If you're really that bothered flash a stock based ICS rom, run some benchmarks, see the higher values, get content, then either stick or go back to CM based roms with whatever wisdom you've aquired!
By the way all the above was using Antutu.
