Android 2.3.4 - MT15i 4.0.1.A.0.283 new Features/Bugs - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

lets talk about Android 2.3.4 - MT15i 4.0.1.A.0.283
cool new feature: Zoom on VideoCam !!!!
bugs?: USB-OTG does not work for me

cool new feature
- 3d panorama (saddly only for 3d tv)
- 2.3.3 = 1255 and 2.3.4= 1566 quadrant score
didn't know about the zoom in video.... pritty cool
bugs:
- maybe weaker wifi signal (but i am not sure...)

I notice better wifi connection. More responsive wireless network discovery and connection to one.
Since 2.3.4 is available from Wotanserver as well therefore the update is not a leak of some weird kind. So if USB-OTG does not work that is cancelled feature or a bug.
Can't test USB-OTG myself... yet.
SE seems to have learned something from this forum, 2.3.3 did not had 122 Mhz speed available, now it is.

All good except EMail - works but it appears to be necessary to manually edit the setup for any kind of mailbox (Live/Yahoo and POP3). It has become "dumb".

The new screen on and off animations are pretty good
Also I've gotta say I'm loving swipe

it's not loading the pictures in contacts from facebook is what you mean? it doesn' t for me also, but i think that is a feature not a bug because the pictures where very low quality anyway.

Update via flashtool then root with kernel (just boot) and i do not have any swype

mine lacks swype as well. can anyone confirm that its really included in 2.3.4? or could it be that the root removed it ?
edit: i was wrong, swype is there but has to be enabled in the settings

Well i checked the settings and International Keyboard is the only keyboard.

FrankBullitt thanks alot! I did not think to look in there, i saw on youtube that swype appeared as a keyboard standalone on some phones and i did not look in the settings of the keyboard! Thanks again!

Not a new feature, but actually the opposite...
Apparently, they took the Sweep Multi-Angle feature out of the final update. You can see and additional mode in the camera interface for a split second in the official presentation video. Here's another video where you can see it better.
Unfortunately, this was the feature I was expecting the most, since it can create some really cool multi-angle photos, like this.

-mouse (wired and wireless) works well => maybe keyboard should work
-flash disk: unsupported notice.
-try USB 3G stick and printer: unsupported.

The USB-OTG feature requires the deskstand thing "Live dock" or what's it called, to function fully.
Can someone tell me where I can expect to find the "Facebook inside Xperia" features, and what they are?

i wonder if there is anyone can do us a favor,
i wanna have a 2.3.4 ftf file as well as pre-rooted img file (HK firmware prefered if it is available)
so i can flash it in flashtool and fastboot for a rooted device,.

Update to 2.3.4 is a good one. Panorama camera shots. Video sooming. Swipe in built and overall faster without overclocking makes it a good update. Have not cone over any fcs or any bugs yet. Wifi works well. No issues with facebook either.
