Call Recording? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

Can anyone who has the AT&T Galaxy S II confirm if it correctly handles call recording using the handset mic/speaker, speakphone, and bluetooth?
Some other threads on the generic Galaxy S II are positive (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1069217), but you just never know what AT&T and the other US carriers will do to their phones.
Thx.

I have no option to record a call.

On the generic Galaxy S 2 thread, folks are having good luck with Callrecorder By Dsoft.
Maybe give that a try?

Callrecorder S By Dsoft works great with the handset but can be very very flaky when recording with a bluetooth headset. sometimes it works great sometimes you'll lose the other persons audio and all you hear is a loud hum.
Total Recall is the same. i went through all of the tests and either got the same as with Callrecorder or when it did work the other persons audio was so low as to be inaudible.
actually i take that back, total recall doesn't seem to want to work through the handset at all.

Just a tag to keep this information updated.
This works wonders on my SGS2 w/ UnNamed v1.3.1 & Entropy DD_12/01/2011

How is the mic and call quality of the Galaxy SII??

We know Galaxy S I has pretty sub-par call & mic recording quality.
Could someone give us a review?
Thanks!
it haz tah bestest of the mcs evah
the phone is not out yet... wait a few days for gods sake...
Call quality was more than pleasing for a phone so slim: we were able to comfortably conduct speakerphone chats without our voice being scrunched up at the other end

Nice find, those guys really loved the phone. I know I'm gonna pick one up but the cost here in the US ($700 cheapest I've seen), and dealing with grey market phones is making it hard to pull the trigger. Definitely gonna get one just how close to launch day I will is the question now .
Have been using SGS2 for about a month. Really good sound quality for both mic and speaker. Also, reception is very good. I recommend this phone whole heartedly.
Good we got an answer on a 3/4-month old threat! Anyways this is still helpful for anyone planning to get the phone.
Also, call quality between to SGS2's is superb! Crystal clear audio, in a certain way .
top notch no complaints whatsoever
Very poor call quality on my Galaxy S2. People to whom I call complain to not hearing me properly ROM KG1 stock
Wish the speaker was more louder
I was in the middle of woods with zero bars and still managed to make a call other party heard me clearly and no interruptions , i heard them clearly also.
On AT&T network ,
KG2 custom rom. with KG6 modem and kernel.
KG5 fixed poor call quality

The KG5 Modem is really good, but it seems to me that it is not battery friendly!?
The second mic makes your voice even in very loud environment clearly hearable!
I i think the call-loudspeaker is loud enough!
I don't have battery drain issue at all. Althow I backwd up software and did a reset. I rhink reset is mandatory to be sure that everything will be fine afterwards.

DX2: Poor SIP/VoIP call quality

I used to have a nokia phone: N900, and a lower end Android phone: LG optimus V. The Nokia has superb VOIP calling quality with their building client, I can't tell the difference at all when on WiFi network. LG is a bit worse, but sipdroid were good enough for non-serious conversation. GrooveIP/3CXphone also works.
However, with droid X2, it is such a disappointment. I cannot hear the other party at all with SipDroid, nor can they hear me, even I only allow GSM codec. With GrooveIP, it is ok for me to hear, but the other party always have issues. 3CXphone does not even work with my local server (I have verified the setting many times on my Optimus). I am always using it on wifi network. Meanwhile my desktop client has no issue at all.
I am still running the stock rom since I heard Eclipse has a pretty bad battery life. Also, I kind of like the blur interface. Regardless, I googled a little bit, one post complained the same issue.
Just want to check whether you guys have the same issue? Any know solution? Does customized rom help at all?
Thx
You could try the 2.3.6 "nandroid port" it is totally non-verizon if they might be messing your
Sop/voip. It's in the DEV section.
I use grooveIP and cm7 was the best quality I had. You have to kill everything that is using data and hope it doesn't Start back up again.

[Q] ICS Phone Calls Over Headphone Jack

Hi guys, I have asked this question in various ICS/Miui 4 threads with no help.
Any time I use my phone via headphones to make calls, on any ics rom, I get horrible call quality. I have tried just about every ics/miui(4) rom out there, flashed the mute/unmute patch...nothing works. When the party I call answers, I don't hear it, there's a 1-2 sec dropout, and then when they talk, it cuts out, just like being in a no signal area. I have full bars, and the problem is only on headphones, and as soon as I take it off and put it up to my ear, it's clear. Also, if I go to a 2.2 or 2.3 rom, all is good, and the headphone jack is fine because music plays fine (under ICS), it's only a phone call issue.
Anyone else experience this?
Also, latest rom I am on has 2 different phone apps...both= same issue...
This is the exact same thing I'm facing on all ics roms and it seems no1 knows how to fix it. Hope somebody does soon.

Horrible outgoing audio via bluetooth headset

I have a Plantronics M50 and also a Monoprice earpiece. They sound great in my ear, but when I talk to other people, my voice sounds very high-pitched, loud, and distorted.
I called Plantronics about it but their troubleshooting involves rebooting the phone and earpiece and re-pairing. Duh.
I've searched and haven't found anything about this issue.
I'm running d3rpICS 5.1 odexed, but I get the same results on MeanRom and even stock rooted roms. My wife's 3D does it too, and she's completely stock, not even rooted.
Does anybody have any ideas of other things I can try? I can flash stock rooted and get to EPST settings, but I wouldn't know what to try.
THANKS!

[Q] New Skype 4.0 Video Call Audio Issues

So Skype got updated to v4 lately. Everything about it looks and works great...
...except for video call.
It uses the "phone-calling" speakers instead of the "external" speakers for audio out, making it extremely small when you're holding it away from you as you're using it for video calls.
what the hell.
am i the only one with this issue?
unrooted stock Rogers RAZR XT910.
thanks.
edit: nvm. saw Skype's community board. lotsa devices having the same issue.

Nope, I'm seeing (uh, I mean hearing) the same thing with Skype. It's forced me to switch to Google Hangouts until the problem is resolved...
