LOS on AT&T Galaxy S II? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

With so many people are having issues on Sprint's Galaxy S II (Epic 4G Touch) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1275960, I want to know if AT&T's Galaxy S II is having the same issues? I returned my Epic 4G Touch to Sprint today due to "some" LOS (loss of service) problem on my unrooted phone, and I may just switch to AT&T if their version has no problem, or get something else.
Just want to see if anyone that's on AT&T's Galaxy S II is having similar issue.
Thanks!

Strangely enough, right after I read this thread, my data stopped working. Status bar still said H+ with 3 bars but wouldn't receive any data.

I need to know if this will be the case with this phone/ cause in my town signal is ALWAYS like this with any phone

Too early to tell. Data randomly hanging but indicating it was OK does happen occasionally on the Infuse.
However, since our hardware is MUCH closer to the I9100, it's likely going to be more stable. Remember, the Spring variant has completely different radio hardware, so it's not as mature.

LOS
I had an issue a bit ago but like others where I live is iffy on signal anyways... so far though I love the phone and how the UI looks. I had the cappy for a while and I am glad I waited for the GSII. Touchwiz 4.0 is done in the way as 3.0 was on cappy... very smooth UI

AT&T performing lots of tower maintenance in my area for last two months. Losing data very frequently especially on weekends. When I call they can list the towers within x radius and their level of degradation.
an INFUSION of REALITY

Every once in a while my Captivate's radio layer just bugs out and a reboot (or sometimes an airplane mode toggle) fixes it all right up.
Doesn't happen more than say, once a week? Which for me is tolerable, though not exactly ideal.

Just an update, I just had a signal drop a minute ago. It actually showed no signal this time. Lasted maybe 5 seconds.

Same on the Infuse.

my phone does sometimes show data but doesn't work. same with wi-fi. i don't have the time to troubleshoot because it doesn't bother me too much and also the fact that the wi-fi problem seems to recently plague all my devices at home recently around the same time i got my s2...
2 of my coworkers' s2 had the reboot issue

[Q] Need serious data help!!

Ugh!! I'm about to throw this Vibrant against the wall!
First off, I love this phone! The display is brilliant and battery is one of the best i've had on a smart phone. But I've had one issue that is driving me crazy. Lemme give you the timeline.
1) I bought this phone on the first day of release in June. Loved it! Didn't have any issues.
2) Soon after the 14 days were up, I started having data issues. At first, every so often, whenever I would listen to Pandora or Slacker, after awhile the data connection would "freeze up" and I couldn't connect to the data network. I could occasionally resolve this by rebooting the phone.
3) After awhile, i noticed that the problem got worse. Any data-intensive app or website would cause the data to "freeze". It would be random. Sometimes, I could listen to Pandora or Slacker for hours or sometimes after 5 minutes it would lock up. Rebooting would sometimes work, but usually not. It would just resolve itself, but usually after 30 minutes or more.
4) Now, its basically happening all the time. Even trying to browse to google.com causes data to "freeze". Downloading anything is next to impossible.
I put "freeze" in quotes because i'm not exactly sure what is going on. The notification bar shows 3G with full bars. Knowing that is not always a good indicator, I downloaded mobile signal widget. During these periods of "frozen" data, it would still show 3G or "H" with signal anywhere from -63dBm to over -100dBm. Yet, no matter what, I still cannot connect to anything over the data network.
I've factory reset, reflashed stock, upgraded to JI6 (and JI2 prior), flashed Frankin-Twiz, flashed Bionix, flashed different kernals, no dice. I contacted T-Mobile and they sent a replacement phone. Same issue. I contacted Samsung and they had no idea what it could be.
Please. Can any one of you geniuses help me out? I'm considering going back to my trusty G1 (which does not have the issue), but I'd rather not.
i had similar problem on mine, before the JI6 update. I spent many hours on the phone with Tmo and no success. I had found that rebooting the phone seemed to restore my true data access, but you shouldn't have to do that 5-10 times a day. Eventually they turned on the "Android Web" at a cost of $10 extra a month and then it was less spotty. I don't know what eventually fixed it but it now works so much better. Then JI6 helped out a bunch too. I think somehow rooting it helped, but I don't see how. It doesn't make sense. My best guess is that Tmo signals suck or go down frequently and a bad factory modem points that out more clearly?
Well, I've always had Android Web (at least for the last 2 years), JI6 seemed to make it worse, I've been rooted from almost day 1, and all indicators show that the signal is good.
If I were to have to reboot everytime, it'd be much more than 5-10 times a day.
I would think at -63 dBm you'd have terrific data speeds. Best I've ever seen on my Vibrant here in Dallas is -81 dBm. Even though the notification icon said "3G", in the about section it showed HSDPA. I then ran a speedtest and was averaging 5 mbps download which is fantastic compared to what I get at home. I'm lucky if I get 1 mbps at the house and that's if it doesn't stall out requiring me to force it to 2G. I normally average between -81 dBm to -97 dBm, sometimes over -100.
But my phone has never frozen or anything like that. There have been occasions where the green up arrow will stay solid and I won't be able to use the data. But I think that is due to 3G being kind of ****ty near my house. I never have that problem if I force EDGE.
I am still using the JFD firmware though. I have yet to receive an OTA update and nor do I care. I also don't really care to flash it with ODIN either at this point. I'd rather wait until 2.2 is released....not holding my breath for Samsung/Tmobile though. I think TMO's 3G just sucks in a lot of areas. I have a Blackberry 9700 which gets similar crappy 3G performance. Case in point, I was at a wedding last weekend 10 minutes from my home and coverage was awesome. I never knew what decent HSPA was until then with this phone.
Oh and regarding the battery....while the SGS's battery isn't terrible for a smartphone, it holds nothing...I repeat...nothing...to the Blackberry. Sorry, just had to.
What I am about to say is very unscientific and 100% placebo based. Here goes:
I have always had that same problem. When using the extended battery and backcover, however, it appears to be nonexistent. Using speedtest I am getting upwards of 5 mbps where I previously would only get under 2.

Isn't the antenna on the bottom of the phone? Hence the so called 3g death grip. You may be on to something I switched to a different case....the fake carbon fiber samsung with galaxy s on the back and it seems my reception isnt as bad as it was. I dont have to force 2g as much at home. Previous was the casemate tough case. Either that or I'm just holding the phone differently. Or its a placebo affect like you said.
Anyone else have any ideas? Does that logcat help at all? I get a feeling most of the people who know the intricacies of Android don't look at this forum.

Drove Around Today and Did Some Tests

Have been having issues here in NE MA with horrible 3g, GPS dropping too often and a bad phone signal to the point of not being able to make or receive calls in areas that are marginal...but areas where my EVO always showed 2 bars and worked fine.
In what I would call "strong" signal areas, still had GPS and 3G issues no matter what. What I found with the phone signal is that in these areas, mit works fine, although it fluctuates every few seconds from a full set of bars, to 2 or 0 and then jumps back up again....constantly.
In the "marginal signal" areas where my EVO 4G worked fine and always showed 2 bars, the 3D shows none and won't make or receive a call. What is most perplexing is that even though it is set to "automatic" on the networks, it is not roaming to Verizon...and my buddy taking the ride with me had a full boat signal on his Verizon phone.
I was totally unable to get on the internet in these areas, although I could still send a text.
I don't get it???
Sprint re-provisioned the phone twice, and today a service center wiped and reloaded everything and also claims to have installed a "fifth update" which my phone never got.
My tests were done post upgrade and it did NOTHING to fix these issues.
With your fifth update did you check to see if you had S-OFF? lol
I just sent a reply back to HTC regarding Bluetooth and Roaming data issues and GPS issues... I await their response... However, I may be returning it and going to some other device.
I've found my old Evo3D, and the exchanged one to show 0 bars in places the Evo4G showed 2-3 bars. For the first time in my life, thanks to the Evo3D, I've had a dropped call, and it was in a place the Evo4G gets 2 bars and perfect voice.
Yeah, today at work I missed 3 calls and couldn't read XDA in the bathroom. That was the final straw. I reactivated my 4G, did some tests...and...well...the 3D has gone back home. Perhaps just for now. The 3G radio on that thing sucks. Maybe a radio update will fix it, but I'm not so sure.
Since I'm impatient and have kinda decided to go the Nexus rout from now on I stopped by the sprint store afterwards and did some signal tests with the NexusS4G--which has known 3G reception issues. Well, it had identical bars...that was a good sign, so I dug in a little deeper and it had nearly identical reception as my E4G.
The .3" of screen size will be missed, and it'll be hard to get used to the light weight...but I think tomorrow I'm gunna buy it. Sure, no SD slot, but, 16gb should be pretty damned good...I never did replace my 8gb card, though I did bump the limit a lot. I'm also sure the camera is way better...
...or I'll just wait for the SGS2. I'm not so antsy to get a new phone now after anticipating one so hard and being mostly disappointed. It's funny, the one thing I was the most critical of beforehand ended up being the only thing I'll really miss...the 3D. Lol to that.
Unfortunately I did a stupid thing and traded my EVO 4G in when I "upgraded" to the 3D.
I tried to get Sprint to do a swap....take back the 3D, take away the $150 trade in credit and give me a new or used EVO 4G for the time being and they absolutely refuse to do it without using up my upgrade to get back what I traded in.
Looks like will deal with this phone and return it on day 29, activate my BB Tour (YUCK) and live with that till something reliable comes out hopefully at the end of July or more likely in August.
This sucks.
I am having nearly similar issues. I am dropping calls in area's that have 4-5 bars. I look and when it reconnects it will be down to 0 signal and then back up 4-6 bars. Really odd.
Sad thing is I am coming from ATT and I only have till early next week to decide to stay with sprint or not.
Ohh decisions... not fun and not a good sprint evaluation.
Yeah, I really hope this is something that they can tweak with a radio update. My old Hero got a lot better reception than my Evo 3D.

I can assure you it is not Sprint...it's the phone. I had the same/similar with my 3D...but never with the 4G.
Download Open Signal Maps. It will show you what tower you're connected to. I noticed something similar with my phone (the signal bars fluctuating). I checked Open Signal and lo-and-behold, my phone was tower jumping between 5 different towers in my area... I didn't even know I had 5 different towers in my area.
Ideally, your phone should lock on to the strongest signal in your area and not jump from strong signal to weak signal to slightly-less-weak signal, to strong again... Also, check out this thread:
http://androidforums.com/htc-evo-3d/361044-official-solution-3g-issues-3d.html
This problem doesn't affect everybody. For instance, my brother got a 3d the same day I did, and he's consistently getting 500-700 kbs d/l in the same places I'm getting 11 kbs d/l.

Do ##786# (or 768, not sure). Then click menu key and due a reset. This will also factory reset your device unfortunately. But I was having eh same problems, getting horrid 3gs speeds of around 50 kps. Once I did this my evo3d is constantly getting better 3g speeds than the 4 other evos in my family.
For some reason a lot of the evo 3d did not get the data set up right on one end or another. This seems to fix it.
Looking at that link now. Yes I've had open signal maps installed and I too have noticed that I am jumping between towers "a lot" say every 10-15 seconds or so. And that can be just sitting still in a parking lot and dropping calls :-( Will take a look and glad to hear that it is more with the phone than the actual network. I may have to downgrade to the 4G or NS4G.

Anybody confirm that this works? My girlfriend's 3D gets a lot worse signal than mine. I'd definitely try this but only if it might actually work. She really doesn't like the factory resets because she has to redo all of her preferences.
Her's is so much more worse than mine that we've been thinking about getting it replaced.

##786# will do a factory reset on your phone. ##72786# will do a "Data Only" reset (i.e. you don't lose any installed apps). I would try that before ##786#. You will need your MSL for both. I have done both. Unfortunately, in my case, the 3g improved for only a couple of hours and then it went back to tower jumping both times. I now have an appointment with the sprint store to replace my 3d later this evening.

#786## worked to fix my 3G speeds. I was consistently getting under 100 Kbps up and down before walking through this procedure with Sprint a week ago. Since then, latency has gone down and speeds have improved significantly.
It did not fix persistent problems with GPS not locking and having poor signal reception compared to the 4G. Between these issues, overheating and the locked bootloader, I am pretty close to returning this phone (although I like most other aspects of it).
Looks as though the Photon 4G cleared the FCC today.
I think I will live with the 3d a bit longer just in case they come out with some miraculous software fix, otherwise return it, activate the BB until the Photon comes out.
Hopefully, for where I live and work at least it will have much better reception.
That's strange that a few of you guys have had every issue that was reported in some of those awful reviews. I've actually found my 3D has the exact same signal as the 4G sitting right next to it. It also recognizes changes in signal faster than the 4G. I must have been lucky to get one with no issues.
My EVO 3d is straight out of a snoop dog song, my calls are droppin like their hot!

I'm sorry to hear that from you guys.. My experience is the opposite, I'm getting 6 bars in my basement which I used to get 2-3 and I can always stay connected to 4g in the upper parts of my house when my 4g could not..

I don't believe that there is anything wrong with the phone itself, however I do believe that there was a bad batch of radios installed on some of the 3vo's. Like I said, my brother's 3vo is working just fine while mine seems to be a lemon.

When did you switch? My LTEvo started doing that I guess around Friday sometime? I got a few texts and calls here and there, but now .... nothing incoming. But I can make calls out. Factory reset/cdma only/with&without wifi/prl&profile etc, *2 prl&profile also no luck, waiting to hear back from a tech. May take it to swap if theres any in and see. I got mine 24th? and had been great untill the other day.
I've had the same problem since last weekend. My phone keeps going to roam with 1-2 bars, whereas before it would be on Sprint's network with about 3 out of 6 bars.
Download speeds are slower than normal over the 3G as well. I used my OG Evo 4G in an area without WiMax, so I am used to Sprint's 3G speeds, but they definitely seem worse on the EVO LTE.
I try downloading Profile & PRL updates every other day, as well as rebooting daily, but it doesn't seem to help.
I also got mine on the 24th, and it has been bad ever since... I did some updates but seem no improvements, wonder if the signal booster apps from play store help...

It seems pretty wide spread about signal strength, data speeds, and wifi signal drop. I'm hoping it's a software thing and not a hardware thing. Software can be fixed with code, hardware...you're screwed! My wife has the LTE and has had this issues as well.
Sent from my Epic Touch (Blazer ROM) using XDA
My phone started doing this today too. I really hope it gets addressed and it's not hardware, I don't feel like taking it back after just setting everything up.
Let's listen to ourselves and think about this for a moment....
:My phone started to do this today".
I guess it must be contagious because my wife's Epic 4G and my work Blackberry both developed it our home location as well.
An epidemic outbreak!
I have a sneaking suspicion that Sprint messed up the latest prl.
Also, wouldn't hurt to update profile and prl from Settings/System Updates
I was reading about signal issues on the Nexus S 4G (which is what my wife has), and they recommended turning NFC off. I tried this on both my Evo LTE and her NS4G, and it seemed to be better for a little bit, but when we woke up this morning, both of our phones were back to roaming.
I think the only thing left to do is blame Sprint's PRL update, since this problem seems to be affecting more than just our new Evo LTE's.
I was happy to see a thread on this, I got mine on Saturday and having had Sprint prior the signal strength is way less. It also tends to swing a lot, going from full to 1 or 0 bars. Sometimes when I pick it up and turn the screen on there is no signal at all.
My wifi has been awful, I turned of nfc and its fantastic! Thanks! I did have the missed calls and texts not going thru and I swapped it out at best buy and hasnt happend since
Edit: First few speed test where awesome, but when I leave the room my routers in the speed goes from 13mps to 4mps...

To all those with signal issues

I have noticed a good amount of threads popping up with people talking about signal issues, 3g/4g issues, connection issues or phone issues.
I was wondering if we could find out what the common factor here was and what fixes everyone has been using. I know that some people got new sim cars, problem solved. Some people restored to a full stock image via odin, problem solved. Reflashing the stock radio, problem solved.
So has anyone had any other solutions, issues or any other info regarding signal issues or anything relating to that?
Been through this with the Nexus, S3 and S4
The solution is to buy a Motorola RAZR or iphone.
Things that do not work -
Upgrading to the newest version of Android
Updating the Radio
Changing it to CDMA only
Lifting one leg up, putting one hand on your head and pointing your other hand due north
Attaching a sticker antenna to the back
Using some custom baked firmware
Reading posts from people who claimed they've solved the problem.
Using Bluetooth
Not using Bluetooth
Buying a special case
You can get a femtocell repeater if you are in an office or home where you get little reception but it won't help you on the road or just visiting a friend unless you want to set it up every place you are stationary.
In the end trying to fix the radio design flaw with a firmware update is about as useful as trying to fix a shattered TV screen by adjusting the brightness setting. If you read the radio issues on the Verizon Nexus and the Verizon S3 there are a lot of people claiming they solved it but in the end it still sucks.
I have zero issues with data on my s4 I'm on the east coast running clean rom 1.6.5 solid LTE everywhere..

Motorola and Apple have had their share of radio/antenna issues as well.

Trying to tie it all together with a common denominator is a logical fallacy. It would be akin to trying to find a common denominator for everyone in the world that has a chronic cough. The causal factor varies from case to case.

The common denominator is we are on Verizon and have Samsung phones. If you want to go further, you could do a subset intersect and see we have the S4 on Verizon. It's like saying what is a common denominator for those people who have safety issues with the Chevy Corvair. It is a design flaw that only could be fixed by replacing the phone with a different model. Trust me, I went down this path with the Nexus and the S3 - magical firmware updates were dangled by fanboys saying they would come and fix the issue but the firmware updates came but they never fixed the issue.
If you want better signal, you could buy a different phone or get a femtocell repeater. TRUST me, I would love a magic bullet to fix the issue but there isn't one. On the plus side you'll get a ton of helpful posts from people saying they never have issues or you must be doing something wrong.
I dont know what is up with all ur phones, but my signal is much better than my old Galaxy Nexus/RAZR M. I am getting 2-3 more bars of 4G at work. At home it use to be only 3G, but now im getting at least 2 bars of 4G. I don't even turn on my WiFi anymore at home or work.
bars dont really mean much...
i have had some odd issues where i will be in home depot or grocery store trying to look something up and it will fail; market doesnt work, browser doesnt work. phone calls and texts (over gvoice so data) wont work.
the razM i had before this was solid. my GF still has the razrM and we were at grocery store other day and if you went the their app there was a coupon to add and the s4 was refusing all data again.
i had similar issues with an old HTC Dinc2 and it was then i started using an app "restart connections" to get data back but it doesnt fix the issue on the s4 i have. if i reboot the phone data comes back.
i have also twice now went to use gmaps and it it attempts to look up an address for 3-5 min and i finally restart the phone and go back in and find the address ASAP after reboot.
something funky is going on and i havent taken the time to try and look at syslogs yet...
i am running the stock MDK rom (rooted) on VZW
reception is odd

I'm in a difficult reception area in the middle of manhattan. Funny thing is that I almost always have 4G - even in my house. At the same time, I never have more than two bars of signal in my house. I have occasionally had trouble making calls (I think the tower I'm reaching is too busy), but once connected, no one has complained and dropped calls are rare.
I don't understand this and don't know whether to complain or not because although there are almost no bars, there is reception that is pretty good. So I've left well enough alone.
This phone gets decent reception for me. Dropping from 4g to 3g is new for me after coming from an htc rezound though. My rez NEVER dropped 4g in my city anywhere. Guess radios is the one thing htc can do right. My s4 drops to 3g in multiple areas sometimes. Hopefully Samsung keeps getting better with their radios and they'll have me as a customer for more years of they do

i have also twice now went to use gmaps and it it attempts to look up an address for 3-5 min and i finally restart the phone and go back in and find the address ASAP after reboot.
something funky is going on and i havent taken the time to try and look at syslogs yet...
i am running the stock MDK rom (rooted) on VZW

This is basically the same issue I have. Only a reboot/data toggle won't fix it. I had two bars(not that it means much, I didn't look at the db) and it kept saying it was communicating with the tower via the green/red up/down indicators, but I couldn't access any data services. I moved my car approximately 500 yards to the south and viola, data again. I don't get why I could make a call, but I couldn't access data.
That being said, it's still better than my Gnex for....well...everything. But I would say worse than my Rezound, Bionic.
i ended up flashing the modem with the ME7 version, while keeping the rest of the ROM on the original MDK. that was about amonth ago and i think ive only had to reboot 1-2 times because of data drop.

Increased Dropped Calls

I'm on sprint and have had my edge Since 4/8. I never used to drop calls on any of my various phones on sprint in the past 10 years. I drop almost every call that lasts more than 5 minutes now. I've noticed it's particularly bad while driving so maybe it's a tower handoff issue.
Anyone else notice increased dropped calls on sprint or any of the networks with their s6?
I have the same problem with the edgeless s6. definitely a bigger problem while driving and never happened with my moto x.

Does the Sprint version use VOLTE?
i am also dropping calls. In an area with 5 bars when on a call and not even moving when the drop calls occurred. I noticed while on a call my bars drop from 5 bars to 1 or non. It is not normal as iPhone 6 or S5 are not having issues at same location.

I'm not sure if they do. I'm frequently on HD voice but I thought they used a different format for than voLTE for their hd voice.

Are all the devices you mentioned on sprint as well?
I'm trying to figure out if it's a carrier specific issue or if the device is having these issues across all carriers.

Our S6 is on Sprint. No drop calls with S5 or iPhone 6. Haven't seen drops calls for over two years since Network Vision started.
Had the same issues with Tmobile Edge...calls cut off especially when driving but generally anytime after 3-4 minutes...I returned it to tmobile...went back to my previous M8

It looks like they didn't fix the problem which started with the Note 4 Edge on Sprint. I was afraid the S6 was going to have the same problem and apparently it does. Google "Note edge dropped calls sprint"
I noticed during the drop calls I was on Sprint to Sprint call via HD voice. Cannot conclude yet, need to do more testing today on a call that is not a Sprint customer. Also, I am in ALU market, dropped calls in Las Vegas and San Diego.
I have been with Sprint x 3 years, really never had a problem. got the S6...EVERY single call dropps. it onlyhappens when i am driving but it is soo annoying. went to sprint who sent me to a tech....tech rebooted/hard booted my phone, updated the ?prl..still dropping calls.
Was going to switch to edfe 6..but they are having soo many problems as well. Wth..im sooooooooo fustrated.
I have had the S6 since Sunday, 05/03/15. I have been dropping calls whether at home or in the car, driving or sitting still. I am on Sprint and had an S4 for two years that rarely if ever had this issue, only in rural areas where anyone would have this issue. I had read about the difference in the antenna and the inability to switch networks smoothly (4G to 3G and back) while in motion. If that is the case, is a firmware fix that is coming once they identify the cause (according to Sprint forums) going to really make a difference? My wife has an S5 and has no such issues. I actually read on the Sprint forum, from the Sprint tech, that they user should return it within their 14 day window if they have concerns. Not exactly a rousing endorsement! I'll give it another week but now I have to figure out what new handset to get or bet on a fix and keep it! So frustrating!
I'm on AT&T, and have this problem. Driving down 95 from DC my calls will drop a couple times. I have two phones with me in the car, for work and personal. Both are on AT&T. The iPhone 6 plus, will show full signal strength when this happens, and I notice the S6 will completely lose signal for a few seconds, then regain full strength. I hate this, because everything else about the phone is great, no pink/yellow display, no scratches, bubbles, and great battery life.
I think its the fact that samsung is using a brand new LTE modem for the exynos chipset which is probably not yet optimized for NA. in the past snapdragon version we never had this problem.
I spoke to Samsung customer services about this to see if a fix is coming. As expected the rep denied any knowledge and suggested I return the phone.
Drop Call Problems
Hello, All,
I'm a new customer to Sprint and I purchase the galaxy s6 edge. I'm on day 13 and will be taking the phone back today. Since day one I have had a tremendous amount of drop calls. I called tech support each time for these incidents. I primary use my phone for work as well, so drop calls "cannot" happen; especially if I'm on a conference call. The last rep I spoke to yesterday said that out of the 12 days that I had the phone, I only had "1" day with 90% of coverage......which means no drop calls.......just "1" day out of 12 days. This is very bad. I absolutely love this phone and has gotten use to it's features....turning it back in is very disappointing, but I'm going to have to go with something else b/c it's obvious that these phones have a issue that Samsung or Sprint are not willing to deal with. I would feel more comfortable about keeping it if there were an article or message out there from either Samsung or Sprint saying they're looking into fixing the problem......but as of today 5/8/2015, nothing has been said. If you're reading this and wondering should you get the galaxy s6 or the edge, do yourself a favor and get another phone. I can say in my research the drop calls issue has been across the board with all carriers so it's safe to say that it's something dealing with the phone itself rather than the carriers.

I know how you feel. I boxed mine up to return today. Nice phone, the camera is the best I've ever seen, but if it doesn't function as a telephone properly its game over. Why couldn't they get this right? I've just taken delivery of an Honor 6 plus. Don't laugh! Its pretty dam good.
Just to add my bit, I own a int'l version and I live in India.
I am also facing a lot of call drops since the day I have bought my phone. I do not have LTE in my region and this thing happens on 3g as well. The network handoff is awful in my opinion as the calls are dropped frequently while driving. This thing never happened with my previous device. ?
I have a same problem, I'm on T-Mobile , daily getting 5-7 dropped calls, they're going to switch my sim card, lets see what happens next.
I have this same problem in the UK on the 3 network. I have had new simcardsx 3, Home Hub network booster, 2 new phones and still the problem persists.
I get constant dropped calls, poor sound quality calls and many missed calls without missed call notifications.
If i switch back to my old Note 3 with same network I have no problems.
Answer = definately the S6 phone thats at fault.
