As far as I foudn out in the forums so far. Below 1.06 is non-ITE, 1.06 and 1.07 should be ITE.
My old one was 1.03 and hat non-ITE (also the touchscreen was no real dual-touch). My replacement one has HWver 1.06 and has a real multi-touchscreen...

hmm, then 1.06 seems to be available in non-ITE and ITE...

As far as i can tell that is correct.. 106 has ite and non ite versions, 107 seems to be ite only

Thanks for replies!
Uff!
Mine is 106!
Any way, short of flashing, to tell if ITE or non ITE?

I would believe that the device's production date - which should be in the back of the device, would also be another indicator - my Viewsonic VPAD7 has a date on it: 2011-03-24 M (below the FCC ID, IMEI and S/N)
Products under other "assumed" name sold in different parts of the world - could be different since this is available in Europe, Asia & the Americas and "down under" as they say - in Aussie ....

Thanks, but yours is Hwver 107, all 107 are supposed to be ITE.
mine, Hwver 106,production date reads " 2011-01-25 E"
May be astuermer can tell us the production date of his ITE HWver106!

MY HWVer: 106 is NON-ITE and has production data 2011-02-08

mine is hwver 106 is ITE
productiondate 2011-04-27

Yes, just in case your Search button hasn't work for you lately or you've somehow missed it - please allow me to point you to answers that's been given a few times already

It's my opinion (only) that based on your given info along with build date, it's 95% chance of a non-ITE screen.

ANy other way hot to find out or test it?

What is ITE
What is ITE, is it a toucscreen tech, a standard...? Please do not refer me elsewhere. All I need is the meaning of the letters.

Sorry for posting to this old thread, but I have a 106 and don't know if it's an ITE or not.

Mine is also a 106 from the exact same date 2011-02-08. Does it mean it must be a non-ITE too?
Thanks!

If you're okay with taking the back off (by prising it off, it will appear to stick but will come off safely) you can tell by a small chip on the board (under an orange ribbon cable) I do believe, mine says ITE on it and the screen is ITE so this may work

Thanks for the tip. However, I managed to figure out that I have a non-ITE version because when I installed CleanView Ice ITE rom version it didn't boot up, while it did with non ITE rom version

Or provide a suitable SN number. We probably bought the wrong device (Iolite). Look at all the forum, this one has the minimum people interested.

ROM Upgrade for HTC Touch Pro (Voda_UK) Release Date: 2009-09-28

I just happened to find this on the HTC Web site today (as I'm looking for 6.5 ROM updates), and I was wondering if a UK user would be so kind as to download it?
Since it's fairly recent, I'm hoping there will be some updated drivers or packages to be found.
http://www.htc.com/uk/SupportViewNews.aspx?dl_id=687&news_id=269
ROM version: 5.10.161.1
UPDATE: Thanks to timolol's brilliant guess, I've been able to download this. I've mirrored it on FileFactory (full self-extracting .exe) and Mediafire (NBH only).
I'm dumping it now to see if there's anything new & exciting in there .
And I was wondering if anyone could remove all the Vodafone branded stuff, so we can all use this ROM with all other goodies intact?
It would be great to be able to get my hands on this
edit:
Good news guys! I managed to guess a valid Vodafone UK serial number: HT837K001234
Go check it out! I'm downloading now.
Cheers,
Tim

Well, if it's really ****free, it would be great, but I doubt it - it's for Vodafone users, and Vodafone equals loads of ****.
Whats the word? I'm looking to update my EXT folder with some updates.

The word is actually a phrase: "False alarm, nothing new to see here."
SYS: 20771
P.S. If you want updates, you should look into all the new Rhodium, Topaz, Tachi, & Leo packages that are around . . .
I'm just looking for an EzInput 2.1 or newer that will work better on some of the newer roms. Didn't really expect to see anything but maybe that will change Monday.

I have done some research about this Rom version because I didn't know this Rom version but it seams to be a South East Asia Rom version you have.
If this is correct, that's the reason way you can't access the new Rom on the HTC website because it's based on EU users.
so as in htc doesnt provides any support for the south east asian versions?

Thy are probably working on it; even the EU version don't support every language fore the moment.
Ow, I don't recommended to flash this EU version on a hard way. Some peoples have tray it and it isn't a good thing, trust me.
but i need a new rom i guess bcuz my leo is lagging while using...im new to the cooked rom stuff but can the cooked roms get the job done for me?

Yes, cooked Rom are more flexible!
It isn't complicate just read and follow the information that the Rom builder mention.
thanks kurt! ..btw just wanted to know if htc releases the roms only for some specific region as in will they actually release a south asian rom update? and can you point me to some thread relating to battery life of the hd2? deosnt last a day with all the updates turned off

- Yes official HTC Rom updates are regional
- When will thy released a south asian Rom?? I don't know I don't work fore them, and there isn't a logic?
- Battery live is related to different point's; most influent is the Radio version.
I must be honest till yesterday personally I was only satisfy with the 1.07 radio I tray them all, just yesterday I tested the new 1.15 radio and I must say "thats the one!" fore my used, it depends of your location and in combination of the Rom
If you don't have a clou about a Rom take a look on the Artemis Rom (It's the one I used, and very happy with it) (You can find the link in my signature)
PS this is a suggestion, based on my experience but I'm sure if you ask 10 peoples with one is the best Rom you will get 7 different answer if it is not 10!

HTC Titan UK - ROM

Hi,
Anyone who hasn't tinkered their phone specially with some other 'stock ROM' please see if they could extra/upload the original UK ROM?
I have updated using one of the stock eternity ROMs but am not sure which one has the correct firmware/radios. - think this might have something to do with odd battery drains.
If you can't upload your ROM but have a brand spanking new Titan from the UK retailer i.e. carphonewarehouse or similar.. could you please provide details from your 'About' page?
Not spanking new but as upto date as zune will take it.

Thank you guys!
Now the stock eternity ROM that I've flashed as everything the same as you described so I am presuming Eternity stock = Titan UK stock. However, the OS bit says - 7.10.8107.79 Wonder how much difference could that make. Glad to see radios and firmwares are same!

[Q] Will I still get Zune updates after downgrade to stock ROM?

This may be a stupid question, but I just can't find a straight answer anywhere, so hope you can help.
My problem is I bought an HTC radar C110ein JP hoping it'd get extensive language support like my IS12T, only to find out it was a HongKong unit with just English and Chinese display languages.
The issue is this was supposed to be a present for someone that can only speak Spanish.
I was suggested in another thread to load a stock ROM for Europe, but none match my current phone version (so it'd be a downgrade):
- Firmware: 1600.2200.20301.708
- RadioSofware: 16.23.03.17_16.27.00.23
- Bootloader: 2.3.160015.3(134621)
My questions are therefore:
- If I get one of these European stock ROMs, will I get also the language packs delivered by default in the European region (which include the one I want, Spanish)?
- Will my phone be updatable through the regular Zune channel afterwards?
- Should I rather get the newest, oldest, or it doesn't matter? (assuming I'll get the updates normally)

Could you please explain me how did you get that to work…
As I wrote elsewhere (link), I tried to transfer my phone with the European RUU/ROM, but unfortunately I get an error:
- "ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDER ID"
Seems that it's not that easy to load a ROM from a different region even if the phone is unbranded... Any ideas as to how to get it done???
repeat .. it was a trophy ...
approximately as described in the post.
