Earphone Volume - HTC Amaze 4G

HTC has always seemed to ship their nice phones with a ****ty headphone amp. I have owned about 5-6 HTC android devices and NONE have been loud enough. I am wondering if this one will be comparable to the Galaxy S II in volume?

It's pretty good , but download the PowerAmp music application , it has a built in EQ so you could get it way louder .

Possible fix for poor speaker volume??

The loud speaker volume is not really loud on our HD2. Like when I play a song or when the phone rings the sound is really low.Its lower than those cheap nokia phones out there. And I really want to change this!!
I found some speakers on ebay like this one. They work on G1, G2 and other phones as well. So I suppose they are loud. I am thinking may be if I change the speaker the sound might get louder?
Does that sound like a good idea???
PS: for desire HD HTC said that the volume is really loud. I wonder if they changed the hardware or only some software tweaks?
Don't know what to say.. At max volume, my HD2 is the loudest phone I had by far. Maybe like two times louder than my old Nokia 3310. Totally breaking my ears if it's not in my pocket. Either your ears or you HD2 are faulty.
mine is really low to more so on android then on windows but my blackberry was much louder playing music then the HD2 maybe the euro one is louder then the US spec one
yeah i have the same problem,, me speakers,, teras up at max olume and colume is not that good either..

You have the US T-mobile version or the regular HTC version?
its loud on winmo and quiet on android , hes probly talking about winmo
I had a similar problem, but i notice the advert for volumex showing on some of the XDA pages. So downloaded it and tried it out. It works Great. You can change the music volume etc and there is another one for the ringing volume. They give you the trial version, but was impressed and bought the full one.
Give it a try you have nothing to loose....

Samsung Headset is it a joke?

I have used the headsets from lots of devices for listening to music. I'm no audiophile so don't get me wrong but the Samsung supplied headset is AWFUL. Tried some apple headphones which sounded a little better some more bass.
My 5 pound phillips headphones sound the best lots of bass. Are there any audio tweaks to be done or is that as good as it gets?
Ephumuris
I like the samsung headset a lot actually. You could use the built in equalizer on the stock Music app or download Equalizer from the market and just turn the bass up. Some people say that the 2.3.5 update sounds better, can't tell the difference to be honest.

[Q] Galaxy S2 i9100 Audio. is THAT bad?

Hi, question is simple, it's galaxy S2 audio So crappy that it isn't worth the moving from i9000 to i9100?
1)I'm not an audophile, but it's really THAT noticeable the audio quality diference between those two?
2)Does supercurio's "Voodoo Louder!" makes sound S2 sound loud as S1? or S1 is still louder than S2?
(I know that louder doesn't mean better quality, but this question is different from first)
well, that is all
I think it's absolutely fine. I'm not a music snob either. I haven't tried Voodoo Louder so I can't comment, but I can say that I've noticed a HUGE volume boost since I've moved over to MIUI. But yeah, the sound is fine, bare in mind that I've never used a SGS though.

i'm using Voodoo Louder ... audiobeats mod for S2 ... PowerAmp and Equalizer ...
that's the best combination [so far] for my S2

I tested on first purchase with both phones .
No difference .

My S2 is loud at 30% volume 50% is to loud .
The defining point for many is relatively simple SGS2 not so good at the low end .
So if you listen to boom boom bang bang extra bass stuff its not that good .

Hi - I also have volume issues & have been thinking about switching to MIUI. can you tell me what ROM you are using?
I just switched from HTC HD2 running MIUI & I do miss it
Thanks
Hi. I got an SGSII and i also have Beats By Dre Headphones. The sound quality is amazing with PowerAMP, some EQ tweaks. I installed Beats audio but that was bad. It sounded cheap. Lower bass and the Mids & Highs were bad as well. I restored the stock Audio which is amazing for me.

Flash Beats Audio..
Hey if your phone is rooted...you can always have beats audio on your phone like the htc phones....it really makes a difference..

Grrr. Beats only "makes a difference" if you don't know how music is suppose to sound and enjoy over-mastered music normalised to 99% so "it sounds good" to the masses. Or you're one of the annoying ones which put 2 x 500W subwoofers in their car (but they'll go deaf by 25, so that's ok, just cleaning the gene pool).

The soundsignature could very well be described as muddy with overbearing low end even more than the studios already had. [...] the beats fell short no matter what I tried.

On topic: the sound quality of the SGS 2 isn't bad, but not spectacular either. It really depends on your expectations; if you expect it to sound as a 1000$ hi-fi device, then search somewhere else. As you're listening to music on a *portable* device, you'll have external noise anyway; better get a pair of quality in-ear headphones (with good insulation); this will allow you to reduce outside noise and keep the volume down (so you'll still have hearing when you get old).

The SQ is worse than my £30 Sansa Clip... It's acceptable, but no more IMHO. For "serious portable music", I stick with my S9 and Senny IE8s. Just use the phone for music for trips to work. YMMV.
It definitely depends upon your music .
How its coded and what format .
SGS2 is not very good with boom boom stuff as its weak at the low end .
Sound level does vary on phones ( or we have a load of deaf users ) their are a number of apps that may help .
Stock phones or Cheapish Sure or Sennheiser sound level at 30% and no problems on my phone .
Tweaked very slightly with Volume + free app and Visang RO2 IEM for slightly better overall natural timbre .

Beats audio makes a difference with high end headphones like the beats ones.........AS THEY ALREADY HAVE IT....BEATS AUDIO IS THE ONLY OPTION FOR THEM TO MAKE MUSIC BETTER....nobody is saying that you hook up your phone to a sub woofer.........
Yep Beats are high end/quality canalphones alright Muddier than CX300's.

In-Line mics not working!

So I recently did a warranty exchange to another Note and I can't get any in-line mics to work (Apple iPhone headphones and Koss PortaPro KTCs) both of those headphones seem to work on my brothers iPhone 4 but not my HTC Desire Z. My Note is running the Team perfection ROM and I tried a couple more and they still don't work... though pause/play does and even makes a sound from the in-line when pushed but the mic doesn't work... Any ideas?
Are in line mics working for anyone else?
Almost 200 views and no replies? ; - ;
I just tried 4 sets of headphones with mics. One from a Samsung epic, one from a Motorola Droid (unknown model), one from an HTC Desire Hd, and a $20 set of AUVIO from radio shack. All 4 mics work properly for phone calls and voice recordings. I did not try the buttons to see what effects they have with music apps or redialing.
I always thought headsets were universal. I have even used ones in the past made for an iphone.

Poor headphone amp on phone?

Hello! Last Friday I noticed when I started to listen music with Sony's XBA-H3 using viper4android for fine tuning. When I tried to get a lot bass out with these headphones, music becomes very compressed. There was a lot less problems with galaxy s5 supplying enough power for these.
Who has bang and Olufsen, can they test out how much more headphone power they can get out of their phones? I mean If it isn't that much better than stock, then I prefer external battery powered DAC but another thing to carry :/.
Thanks!

I agree with you. I've already got HTC ONE M7 and audio quality and specially amplified sound is much better than my new G5. I think this model simply just have it and that's reason why thy released audio module [emoji6]

Yeah and it won't help that xba h3 is really, I mean really power hungry for earbuds.. :'D even my PC internal headphone amp has problem to power this properly and I think it's a better amp. And even my mixer has some problems (not anymore if I use viper4android + mixer) to power this and play loud with bass but 3.5 mm to 6.3 adapter is faulty or this is not compatible with it because this cable on my xba h3 has extra analog channels for the volume control and playback so it has to be very loosened up to work with both channels
