Problem with the android market - Motorola Photon 4G

I can download free apps just fine but every time I try to buy a paid app I get an error. The error says "There's was a problem processing your request". Now just last week I brought three new paid apps just fine. Also going to applications to clear data on the market doesn't fix the problem. It happens on my phone and on my girlfriends HTC Evo 3D phone.
Do anyone konw how to fix the program?

See if this helps you.
its a problem with setting up the credit card (think server overload) - as a workaround just go to checkout.google.com and sign in using a normal browser with your googlemail address (the same as in use on your android), setup your credit card and the go back to the market on your android phone. Select the app and it will now ask you to confirm using the credit card you have just setup.

Thank you. I tried that but it still didn't work for me.

Ive had the same problem. I thought I fixed it by reinstalling the market, but after bout a day it came back.

Odd, until you mentioned it, I had no issues until today. I noticed all my paid apps (xda included) got deleted from phone. Went to market and it automatically put them back.

[Q] Buying apps

I've never purchased an app from the market but recently I've been trying to purchase root explorer. The problem I'm having is that every time I enter my credit card info and tap save, it gives me a server error and can't continue. I've tried this with my rooted Eris on both kaosfroyo and celb froyo and have had the same results. What should I do to fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

You can setup your credit card with google (I believe it uses google checkout) on a desktop computer. This credit card info will be synced with your google account and should automatically show up on your phone later. I know I had bought stuff on google before, so I never had to enter the credit card info on to my phone.
That, or maybe its a froyo Eris problem. Pm one of the devs of either of those ROMS and tell/ask them about your problem.

[Q] Is the market having issues?

No matter what rom (with wipe of data, cache, and Dalvik), known-good Nandroid backup I restore, or anything else I can think of, I cannot get the Market to work. This is driving me bonkers! I've tried CM7, das Bamf 1.6 and 1.6.1, I've tried old Virus backups, and have even flashed Bolted, Lightning rom, and a couple others. I simply cannot get apps to download, and all environments give me 503s in my logs. So this sounds like it's down but I searched and expected to see posts all over about it. So I'm stumped.

Had the same issue, no replys tho. I ended up calling Verizon and after the tech guy "held my hand" thru his "testing", he just put me in for a replacement. I did notice that market seems to be working a bit now. It wasn't working after I uprooted bone stock, but today it seems to be kinda working.

Where are you? I'm in Indianapolis.

So after sleeping, it's still broken for me. I did additional testing and either the market is very broken or my market account is screwed up. I tried on my 2 other devices (a Nook Color and a G1, both on wifi) and neither of them with either.
I did some heavy flashing of various roms yesterday, so could they have disabled my account, or something, thinking it was hacked?

Okay, so no matter what I do, I can't initiate a download from my phone. I can, however, initiate a download from the web version of the Market, and this works with at least my TBolt and Nook (didn't bother trying on my G1 - assumed it either worked or I didn't care).
However, this is incredibly aggravating not being able to use my phone to install software via the Market applications!
I've discovered the problem (kinda) and can offer a fix. The problem was that network settings (grouped with things like wifi passwords) get backed up and restored automatically by Google, and mine were somehow corrupted. The fix was to go into Settings -> Privacy and uncheck the backup/restore checkboxes. If you do this right, it will prompt you to confirm and will say that it will erase the settings on Google's servers.
After this, you may need to wipe one more time.

Need For Speed Shift

I have Chainfire, and I have the APK but I have no idea how to get the extra game data to download. I tried changing my build prop but that didnt help. Does anyone know how to make it download the data or where I can download the data. Every Google search I did returned downloads for the data but they all said the files had been deleted.
It works for me now with the new update from the game.

Not sure if this will help, but this is how i was able to get it to work.
If you (or anyone you know) has an android phone, install the apk. to the phone. Update the app if it isnt already updated. Donwload the data. Then, move the data from the phone SD card to your Nooks SD Card. It should be saved under Android-data-com.eamobile.nfsshift_na_wf.
I will say that after I did this, i had to reset my Nook to get the app to notice the data, but it works fine now.
Hope that helps.

Bought this via Android Market, no problems running at all. Well worth the couple of bucks.

This is because his phone has a PowerVR (like the NC) gpu while yours probably has a qualcomm or nvidia. You need the correct type of sd card data.
I bought this an was really enjoying Shift until I had to re-image the NC.
Now, I have an odd issue. In the Market, I can't even see NFS Shift. However, on my other NC, I can see NFS Shift and can download again if needed.
How do I get my re-imaged NC to see it in the Market to re-download?
Thanks!

The android market is a fickle thing. I flashed the same ROM (CM7n253) to multiple Nooks. Only one of them won't allow me to download Google Earth because it's "incompatible." The only difference between the devices is that I assigned them unique IMEIs. I put "Blood and Glory" on my NC and I was going to put it on the others only to find that it doesn't show on the market. Checked market website and sure enough it's listed as "incompatible". Checked my NC and now it's listed as "incompatible" too. Good thing it's a free app, I just titanium backed it up and loaded it on the others. I really wish android market had an advanced mode where you could ignore it's "compatibility" settings.
I'd also like to have a way to gift games (a la steam) cause I would have bought a lot more at the holiday sale if I could have just emailed the codes or had it open on their markets.
apk and data from a Droid X
I installed the apk from my Droid X (which I purchased) along with the data but when I attempt to start the game I get an error message that says "Error (Airplay v4.3.10 [2599558]) S3E_DEVICE_PHONE_NUMBER: This device don't have a phone number!".
Thoughts anyone?
UPDATE: The game starts after I click off that error message. However, even though the game will see the data from my previous game play from my Droid X (money, experience points, etc) it still displays the message "If you want to purchase the full game." even though the copy off of my Droid X was purchased. It also doesn't let me change tracks either so I'm stuck on the Tokyo one.

Custom rom - Paid up application not showing up

Hi Guys,
I have a problem i bought few applications when i flash custom rom its not showing up at present i am in MIUI rom. Any suggestions welcome.
does it not appear in the market or on your phone after installing it?
It might help to log onto market.android.com and try to send the installers to your phone. If it doesn't show up/it's greyed out, I guess the version of the app won't work with MIUI without buying it again. In that case, see if you're still eligible for refunds and rebuy it.
You sure they weren't purchased with a different Google account?

It may also help to clear the market data and cache...log back in...its happened to me a couple of times too.

[Q] Help with stolen phone

Hi,
I've lost my phone... I know the place but when asked security no one reported it. So.. I changed my gmail passwrord, my facebook and some more.
Now I got a new phone, and in the play store I can see that my phone was used yesterday. I have no idea how is this possible, but I want to know if I can do anything to report the phone as stolen, wipe the data, or something. It was an unlocked phone... maybe I have the imei somewhere.
Unfortunately I lost it in my holidays, so it is in another country.
Any ideas? (attached is the screenshot)
How exactly did you find out your phone was used through the Play store?

Today, with my new phone, I entered in play store in my PC. Then when I chose to install an app, it asked me which phone. My previous phone was there but with Zain JO (Jordan) and yesterday was the last access. I've chosen to install the Plan B app from the market and see if it works.
Weird is, I changed my gmail password the same day I lost it (on 16th). Go here https://play.google.com/store/account, and then settings (it is the attached screenshot).
For anyone still interested.. nothing that I tried worked. Now.. still interesting is the fact that the phone keeps appearing in the google store and now it changed the carrier again. Check the Jordan one.
Is there anything to do? As I said before I've changed my google password so.. no idea why it keep changing but for sure, someone is still using it
