If you have unlimited data now you will be forced to sign up for the 200MB or 2GB plan. There is no guarantee you can get the unlimited back (unless you buy from att).

I purchased mine at a walmart store for $149 and was able to keep my unlimited data plan. The only downside is that they only offer a 14 day return policy compared to 30 days at most other retailers.

The store bought from is irrelevant, different states have different laws. In some states, the "subsidy\buy-down" is considered an instant rebate, and is taxed, whereas in other states they look at it as you're being taxed on the service for 2 years so they exempt all but the actual out-of-pocket price of the phone. To say "Sams does this but Walmart doesn't," etc is a useless commentary. It's not to say that policies and compliance are 100%, but the variance is by state\taxing authority, not from company to company.

My last upgrade was the atrix 4g in April 2011 and I told the lady over the phone I wanted to upgrade and she sad sure. So she said "what phone were you looking at?" I said "the galaxy s2" and so when I was paying with my CC she said 174.99 I was like "this is for the galaxy s2 right?" she said " yes the galaxy s2"
I don't really know why but it was a surprise to me compared to $229
If anyone wants to try I call 611 and went to more options and then contract cancelation.
The people at the store did not want To help so I was at the tmobile store ready to switch when I called I also let her know that incase anyone wants to try it

The guys at the cor att store near me.couldn't get the price to scan as 549 so they sold me the accessories and gave me the phone for free. I returned everything Cept for the jambox case and screen protector to another att store

On a best buy pre order flub I got mine for 149.99. And still have unlimited data. Going to att doesnt keep Unlimited data. Telling ur salesperson u want to keep it is how u keep it. If u don't say anything they might put u on another data plan which would be kinda funny.

Yea I made sure they did not change it
I got mine for 49.99 + tax after calling at&t and asking them to match Amazons price. They just said how about we give you a bill credit of 150 which covered my cell bill for the month. I still put out the 199 but to me the 150 in credit was the same as 50 for the phone...

$250 or $300 is still a rip off weather it has ICS or not! Beside the way ics has been on other devices and from some reviews I don't really think its gonna be anything spectacular. Gonna be another "I waited this long for this?!" Type of deal. I really don't think its gonna be much of a game changer

I can confirm that it is$699 at Sprint. I only had to pay the taxes on the retail price since I did the One Up program. My total was just $49 and I walked out with a white Note 3 in my hand!

I bought flat out at Best Buy. They matched the 699 price at Sprint. I changed my mind about waiting for the 1Max, or the Mega. Who knows, I might still get one of them for Tri-band goodness. Luckily I already had $65 in Reward Zone Certificates, now I have to get rid of this Note 2......

I did the one up also, but I had to pay 389.00 for the phone and watch and a early upgrade fee I think.. But whatever, I thought I would have to pay a lot more.
