Check out the Case Mate POP! case. It'rugged, has mic holes, a kickstand, and fits perfectly on the SGS2.

+1 This is what I have. It has a firm fit on the phone. Real good grip and not bulky.

+1 - CaseMate POP case and a Moshi iVisor (They better be careful. I think Apple owns a copyright on any word starting with a lower-case "i", and they seem to be a little sue-happy recently). Same setup I had on my Samsung Infuse. The only thing I didn't like about that case was the lack of a kickstand, and this one's got it. Perfect!

The only thing I don't like about the pop case is it seems to only come in white/grey, otherwise love the case.

Asking what case to get is like asking what kind of car you should get. It's very much personal taste, hehe.
With that said, I was in Asia last week and came back with about 20 different designs. The one I favor is a 0.2mm case (just ebay it there are tons)... they're only a couple bucks, and they provide scratch\scuff protection, and are the ultimate in thinness. They don't provide very good grip though.
The Ringke silicon case is alright, I have one in red which looks nice, but it's not ideal for me because with any silicon case I find the sides are not as tight fitting to the phone as I like (problem with ANY silicon case, most people are fine with it but I'm a bit OCD).
There is a TPU case I bought on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005OTAUG6
And thus far this TPU case has been my absolute favorite of all the 10 or so cases I have. It's got the right amount of grip, but isn't sticky removing from pocket like a silicon is, and it's absolutely tight-fitting and has the ATT mic cutouts, and the color is cool. Not super crazy about the argyle back, but the color is nice, so it works.
But again, personal taste is a lot of it. If you order from somewhere like Amazon if you don't like the case you can return it without hassle.

#10 on this list
http://www.traemcneely.com/2011/10/...i777-samsung-galaxy-s2-sii-cases-covers-sgs2/

I just received my Acase from Amazon today. I have to say it's pretty nice. It's a silicon case, but with a hard case on top of it. It adds a bit of bulk, but it is definitely fully protected. It's as thick as my current gen iPod classic now. Not too great, but not too bad for $10.

[Q] Suggestion for slim case that makes phone lay flat

The TPU cases look pretty great, I may end up going with one of them. But the camera portion is raised up so the phone still won't lay flat.
Any suggestions for a slim (the slimmer the better) case that just has a cutout for the camera?
Well the phone itself doesn't lie very flat. Any thin case that doesn't cover the camera should lie flat but personally I really want the camera covered so i got the tpu hybrid (white) from eBay and really enjoy it. Good luck finding the right one! Thankfully cases are so cheap nowadays that $15 will get you several cases.
besides TPU, i really enjoy Casemate's ToughCase.
REally nice design and not any thicker than the TPU
I like my Otter Box commuter and it lays flat.
Sent from my PG86100 using XDA Premium App
The Seidio Surface(aka The Platinum case at Best Buy) will make it lay flat, but as mentioned above, it doesn't cover the camera area.
If you look around, it seems like any case that DOESN'T cover the camera area will make the phone lay flat as the way those cases protect the camrea area is make their case thick enough so the camera area is slightly recessed.

[Q] Otterbox Commuter help

I am wondering if an one has tried both cases? I checked different sites and most have different measurements for the commuter. Currently I own the tough case but would like to try the commuter if it's not any larger. I have a Nite Ize holster and the Case Mate fits perfect.
Thanks

Is the noise cancelling mic next to the headphone jack covered with the i9100 commuter case?

I have the commuter series case. It fits excellent. It does cover the noise mic, however I did not modify the case yet. But I have not noticed any issues to date. I use my phone daily and a lot.

There is a fairly large hole right next to the headphone jack cover. It may not be a 100% aligned but its a decent size hole which should serve the purpose.
Thanks for the replies but I'm trying to figure out if the commuter is similar in size to the Tough Case. It will be in a holster while I work and the Tough case fits perfectly. A customer posted a video on amazon showing that the commuter does have the holes for both mics. I love my tough case but like how the commuter covers all the ports.
I have the case mate pop and its just a tad smaller than my wifes Iphone 4 Otterbox Defender. Otterbox puts it at 16.77 mm thick. From the pictures it looks like the tough case is also a bit thinner than the pop because its form fitting. The cate mate pop is not form fitting, the back is completely flat. The Otterbox commuter is 14.80 mm thick so i'm guessing my case mate pop will be thicker.
i'm looking forward to the commuter because it protects the front a bit. So when it falls it will luckily strike that first and the raised sides. Its a given that otterboxs are lint magnet, i'm surprised because my caste mate is not. The shiny back does however drive me nuts, ITS UGLY!
Nevermind Found pictures on Amazon
I am hoping that mine comes in today. The only bad thing about cheap sellers with free shipping can be the delivery.
I hate not having any type of tracking.

I decided to up and order one of these myself. I don't make enough calls to care about that stupid mic anyways...lol
I just got mine I in today and I'm wondering if there's a hip case that this would fight on?
If you guys do care about the second mic, Otterbox does make an I777-specific Commuter case. I have one. Here's the link. Might be more expensive since you'd be buying it from them directly at full price and because it's hard to find, but I think it's worth every penny anyway, over a year and still going strong.
Bought my otterbox commuter case off of Amazon about a month ago for 20usd and am very happy with it. Have had no problems with any functionality from it.

CASE FOR SGSII i777.

So I've been reading around and it seems that a lot of people are having trouble finding a nice and fitted case. Now I came frome a cappy to the i777 and I wanted somthing that was like the bodyglove case for the captivate. I found a case on Amazon that I thought would fit the i777 just right. It came in yesterday and it fits perfectly! Everythingis cut out where its supposed to be, yes even the noise canceling mic on top. Its not thick and it keeps the phone slim. Has nice grip on the sides so it doesn't slip. Fits the phone perfect. All in all seems to be an awesome case. And its only like $9 with shipping! Good deal!

I got the case mentioned in the OP but for 2.95 on eBay. Have to say this is one of the best fitting and best looking tpu cases I've owned. All the cutouts are spot on and its thin with ok protection for a tpu case. Way satisfied and would def recommend it to anyone.

I just got this one in the mail before Christmas (along with some screen protectors). This thing is good. double layer protection along with covers for the earphone jack and usb port. Feel as sturdy or more than otterboxes I have seen. Some people don't like the bulk but I like the thicker grip.

Is the case OP posted really rubbery or what? I'm looking for a slim case that doesn't stick in my pockets.
+ one more for the matte black TC case. Had it since a week after launch. Cut outs are all correct, (though I widened the usb and headphones cutouts with an xacto knife to fit aftermarket audio and usb plugs that I had - stock stuff fit fine with no mods) keeps the slim profile of the phone, and makes it fit my hand a little better, so less chance of drops.

I'm looking into the case that the OP mentioned. I found a five case deal on ebay coming from Hong Kong. I just got my phone (no case protection) and it'll pain me too much to see how long the shipping will take, it is free though.
I wonder if people are seeing good results on all of these cheap cases from ebay, by that I mean after a few months of use.
Question, OP
I'm coming from a Cappy with the excellent Body Glove TPU case. It was the best case I've ever had for a phone, and I was wondering if the case OP posted is flexible TPU, or hard, rigid plastic that can't be flexed. I wonder this because I need access to the back sd card and battery often, and the material of the case determines if I buy it or not.
Thanks for any answers to my question.

I recommend the Ringke Slim . . . very minimalist. Pretty expensive for what you get, though, and the screen protector was kind of crap.

The case is good for what's it for. I like it so far but I'm not satisfied. The only problem I'm having is having to fold the cover back when I have to use it like text messaging. It's a hindrance.
Exactly ,the folding cases make things difficult

I ordered a different case from Zenus and another wallet case but in black with the stand on the back. It's the same price as the brown nubuck leather case. And one of their graffiti silicon case. I'll be switching between whichever I feel like using.
I'm planning on going completely naked. No cover, no case except maybe a belt case. Not sure I'll want to keep this in my pocket.
The $7 TPU cases are quite thin, at least until you find something you like. You can also order a Neoprene sleeve or the OEM sleeve to keep it in while in your pocket. I ordered them and the Neoprene one was $4 and the OEM 25
I tried one of the "ultra thin tpu cases" for sale on ebay and so far, I'm loving it. The case really is ultra thin, and mine is clear frosted so it also adds a bit of grip.
Note, it offers zero face protection, and only covers up to the chrome bezel on the sides.

Fits really well for being thin and flexible, and the slimmest case I've seen so far.

I bought two cases.
http://www.amazon.com/EMPIRE-Samsun...S0WO/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1329718439&sr=8-9
The empire case, i use when I'm at home. It's almost like not having a case at all. Protection for the left and right sides and the back are there. Top and Bottom are open as well as the front of the screen.
When I go out of the house, I transfer to the Zenus Wallet Case:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/samsung-gal...784392?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item4600c77d08
It's great for going out...protects the phone reasonably well and I don't have to carry a separate wallet. Oh it the case itself looks AWESOME!

Case Mate finally shipped

My case mate case for the galaxy note finally shipped and I have to say the case feels amazing in my hands, it also keeps the thin feeling of the phone. It feels extremely durable as well. One thing though the case was so god damn hard to put on i was afraid I'd break the volume rocker. Otherwise I extremely recommend this case and ill post pictures soon enough!!

I had one of these for my Inspire. I liked the feeling of the plastic as it gave some good grip but I hated the rubber portion. It collected everything including lint and it was way to tacky.
Which Case Mate is that? How does it go? Is the first layer silicone and the outer lay plastic?
Right now I have the Reiko Hybrid case -- very durable, but very heavy and thick. I'm debating getting the Case Mate, Ballistic, or Trident.

How's the weight/thickness compared to the Reiko Hybrid? Considering it was only $9.00, I got it as more of an in-between "holder" to wait off for the better companies.

My gNote is not insured so I wanted a case that would provide a good degree of protection without adding too much bulk. I felt this case would meet this need. It has a good grip and solid construction.
My only gripe is the the silicon is not tight on the edge on the top and bottom! Ugg! The hard shell does not hold the inner silicon in place on the top and bottom, the way it does on the sides. When pulling the phone out of my pocket the lose silicone drags/clings. So I think this action may make the silicone baggy/loser over time.

Comments about loose fitting silicone and the pics showing it to be a dust magnet are disappointing. I was really hoping this would do the trick. I have the Reiko Hybrid case. It's protective but it's a monster.
Now that the Candyshell case AT&T wanted $40 for is in the low $20's, I may be revisiting that. I still don't like the glossy back's scratch magnet aspects but its slim and the silicone (TPU?) layer holds tight to the surface of the phone.
I fixed the loose silicone on top and bottom with some double sided sticky tape. Works like a charm!
Now that I have had a chance to use it for a week or so, I have to agree with the OP. It feels very good in the hand and totally secure.
