[Pics] Sikai Microfiber Case -- Has Stylus holder - HTC Jetstream

Finally received my Sikai case that I ordered from Ebay.
To my surprise, they have added the scribe pen holder!
I was worried about the holes for the speaker being too small.
However, it doesn't affect the volume of the speaker at all (the Jetstream is so loud anyway).
BTW, I am using Skinnomi screen protector, it is so good. So much better than Zagg. The surface is not sticky and tacky like Zagg at all.
Here are some pics.

Where did you get the pen clip?

I took it out from one of my pen. took a while a stretch it and get it on.

So how is it holding up? Looks alot like the Acer A500 case. After a couple of days it stretched out just enough that the tablet would slip down so the bottom of the screen got covered as wel as the camera.

it is still great!! At first, I didn't wrap it tightly and it did exactly like you said.
After a while, the case got a bit bigger because of the thickness of the tablet.
However, after I tighten the thing holding it, it's perfect now.
It's even more secure than before after the break-in period.

What do you mean by "tightening"? How do you do that?

Where did you get it from? Can you post a link?
Thanks

It looks like it would be uncomfortable to hold with the sides the way they are. Is it?

Stylus holder... FAIL....
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to stitch some elastic to the side of a case and call it functional.
The case/folio manufactures need to INTEGRATE the stylus holder not tack it on like a cheap afterthought!
Maybe if someone put a big fat crAPPLE on the back of the JetStream someone would make a decent case for it.
I have 4 cases now... they all suck in one way or another.
Rant over...

BN Nook Color/Tablet Book Cases

I have been looking for some decent book like cover/folio cases (preferrably thin and minimalistic) and the ones on the BN store are quick pricey but fit the bill. Anyone tried these and confirm their quality?

Pricey as well. Would like the b&n covers with the snap on holder instead of the flap holder. Anybody find one at a discount?
I have the "Leather writer's cover" from B&N for my NT. It's really nice. The thing I like about the official covers are that the mounts are solid and non-intrusive. I can carry it around like a book. It looks (& feels) as nice in person as it does in the B&N photos.
The third party covers don't have those solid mounts, they have either cheap straps for the corners or have leather that cover all of the bezels.
Btw, I had a "Canvas writer's cover" before, for my Nook color. It wasn't bad, didn't feel as good as the leather, and was slightly heavier. Kinda felt like rubber coated canvas, whereas the leather cover just feels like normal leather.
Currently imlooking for something like the lautner case on BN. With the magnetic clasp
Speck Fitfolio case
i just bought this from Target for 29.99 for my nook tablet. I love it! Speck Fitfolio in black sweet!

Couldn't find it on target but found it on amazon. Looks good.

Cheaper too. $19.50.
Actually oldsv6, can you tell me if the speaker is blocked or if there is like a gap so the sound isn't muffled. Also how tight is the grip of the case? I want put a skin over my nook and hopefully it will still fit in the case. Thanks.
It was not on Targets website but store by me had all three colors. This is no opening for the speakers, however, there is a space near the usb and it acts like a port for sound. The sound level is only stlighly decreased if any.
I think I will have to go with one of the BN official cases sigh.
im torn between the Brunel : http://www.barnesandnoble.com/p/brunel-cover-in-iron/20831286?ean=9781616837327
and the Lautner: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/p/lautner-book-cover-night/19952457?ean=9781616865146
Since I hate twilight, I am leaning towards the brunel (lol not really) but Lautner is a bit cheaper. Maybe I should wait until there is a sale on cases
YMMV, but Best Buy in store is selling a Black M-Edge Go! Jacket model for $15 on clearance . I picked up one today. A couple of caveats though...
First, there is no hole in the back so the speakers are covered. If you are using the headphones that's not much of a problem since all other ports are available.
Second the fit is VERY tight, so getting the unit in and out easily is a problem. Once in it's super nice and snug, but I tend to like to remove the tablets from their cases when using most of the time. I am actually going to perform surgery on my case and remove the part along the top so I can slide my tablet in and out easily. The rubber back on the tablet and velvety insides should hold everything in fine by friction. At the price I think it's not a bad gamble to modify it...

I tried two M-Edge cases for Nook Color/Tablet, but they both covered the speaker, so the audio was muffled. They also covered the mic hole at the top edge, so if you want to use the mic, you have to take the device out of the case. However I do like their constructs - compact, slim and solid.

AARRGUS, please post it when you find out how to drill/punch holes on the back cover to allow the audio come out. I like the case but it covers the speaker and the mic (at the top).
So I just received the Lautner case and Ill give it a quick review
the faux leather isnt as nice as i was expecting for a 35 dollar cover, but its clean, the clips are sturdy and the magnet is nice.
B
found one on ebay that acts as a stand for portrait mode, pretty cheap around 10 dollars or so.
its called Premium PU leather Stand case Pouch Cover For Nook Tablet E-reader, sold by everydaysource, can i get some feedback on this product from you guys? thanks!
I purchased the Brunel cover in Iron from BN (I can't post links as of yet).
I like it a lot. The clips are very sturdy and the magnet keeps it closed. It can be propped up for viewing in landscape mode. The pocket on the inside of the cover flap is also handy. You do need to take it out of the cover in order to access the sd card. Audio sounds fine/clear while in the cover.
I haven't scuffed the leather yet, it's been tossed in and out of my purse for the past few days (got the NookTab this past Tuesday).

I'd maybe consider this, but I wonder if I'd want something that could prop up in portrait too.

I also picked up the Leather writer's cover. It looks and feels great and has a nice pocket on the inside cover to slip a thin Moleskine journal style notebook into. I picked up the notebooks in a 3 pack with a thick paper cover and they slip in with a bit of trimming to one cover. I can't remember exactly what their called but you'll see them if you go into a BN store and check out the Moleskine rack. It's good for doodling or taking down notes.
I had the canvas cover before this and when I used it at a coffee shop, it picked up the cookie grease/oil from the table top and stained permanently. The leather option is much better.
slim case
I need a real slim case. One of the things I love about the Book is how I can slip into a pants pocket. The bulky cases at BN make this impossible. Anybody find a slim case with front flap?
I got the Tasume cover from B&N...its rather pricey at $50, but it's nice. It tri-folds over the screen for good protection, and the flaps fold origami-syle to prop the tablet up in either portrait or landscape.

Review for Case-Mate Tough

Had it for a couple of days now figure I'd give my two cents on it.
The case came in standard AT&T boxing nothing special added in. If you have ever used a tough case from Case-Mate don't expect anything new and exciting, which I think is a great thing.
The case is a two piece with the hard black plastic wrapping over the grey silicon which feels good in the hand because of the textured hard plastic cover. The installation is pretty straight forward and a overall very snug fit a bit tougher to put on than other cases. The buttons feel pretty good, the power button is a little bit easier to push because the covering makes it stick out a little more. The volume buttons a little tougher to press, but definitely not a deal breaker by any means, same goes for the camera button as well.
All the speaker holes, and ports are unrestricted and work/sound the same without.
The bulk is there so don't expect a super thin case, but it's not too big either.
Couple of my complaints is that the top and bottom sides of the phone don't the hard plastic doesn't go over, for the most part I wear slacks so pulling my phone in and out of my pocket at work is okay, but jeans or more constricting pants could be annoying because of the top and bottom lips of the case around the screen getting caught up. Also, the edges of the case around the screen also get dust around and under them as well, but that silicon for you. I wouldn't say either is a deal breaker by any means just a little annoyance at times.
The only deal breaker I can really see would be the price, $45 is a bit steep for this type of case in my opinion(Yet I bought it anyway.) , it's quality but would be a bit happier paying $30-$35.
Sorry for the crappy pictures only thing I have is an Atrix to take pictures with.
Good review thanks. I have to say that I hate that case on the Titan. I think I am going to stay naked. The phone is to nice looking and feels good as is.
I like the colour combination from that protector. Thanks for the reviews.

[Q] Tirdent Aegis

Hello
Have any of you tried the TRIDENT AEGIS case for the ATRIX 4G. It surely looks great and functional, but I'm not sure abut the build quality as it can be docked along with the phone. Please post your review and pictures
Sure!
Just ordered from their site, and look very promising, JUS THE WAY I WAS EXPECTING A CASE TO BE for the Atrix! (And let me tell you I own at least 6 cases each one 30+ f*** bucks)
Once I get it delivered, will upload a modest review and some pictures attached in HD dock and Lapdock, (´cause of course, it won´t fit car dock)
My primary case is an Active Case from Seidio (such a fantastic combo) along with its Holster Clip. However, taking my Atrix out of the case for car dock navigation or simply hd dock is a pain to the a-....
OK! I remember! (this mojitos won´t help that out... however, mmmmm!) The point of this case for me is to get it fit in the holster clip from seidio active without the case for sure, using trident´s.
Will let you know!
ok, let us know, i just felt in love with the nice "man solid appeal"of the case
Think it twice
Hey guys,
As you know I ordered this case some time ago, and just received it. And you know what? I´m not in the mood to make a review of it, at the second attempt to open the flap to engage the media/dock mode, one of the strings just broke up, the bottom one, so easy (and I´m a very careful person regarding these matters) without forcing it at all or aplying so much pressure.
So if you want to try for yourself, go for it BUT PLEASE, excercise the most delicate usage if don´t wanna go my way.
So sad...

First, this case is on sale at Amazon for $10 including shipping!!
I am impressed with the quality and feel. This origionally sold for around $35 and you get what you pay for. It comes with a screen protector (a dry one) also a covering for the camera lens. I have a plastic plug for the earphone jack I got off ebay for $1.
This is a hard polycarbonite case, not the soft flimsy type, and it is thin yet sturdy and feels and looks great. So far I love it.
If you place your thumb on the center back logo when opening, it opens easily.
If I find any problems or any disappointments I'll post here. But for $10 you can't go wrong.
I'm sorry to hear about your bad experince with the case but so glad you are telling about.
There seems to be mixed thoughts on the case. Decided to get the seidio surface as I only hear positive feedback on this.
CK
Yeah mine broke at the hinge after a couple of weeks too.
best case
I've had almost every case made for the Atrix. The Aegis is by far definitely my favorite because it is small, neat, nice materials, feels good, looks great. Yes the hinge is a bit delicate, but if you CAREFULLY open the case you can avoid breaking the hinge. And even if you break it you can still use the case depending on how bad it breaks. The case is made from a hard polycarbonite material, not a soft rubbery silicone which I got very tired of over time. These cases are on sale on Amazon for $10, down from the regular $30.....cheap. I bought 2 of them just in case. Comes with a dry screen protector and a cleaning micro fiber cloth. Also comes with a camera lens cover but that added fog to the picture when using the flash so I don't use that. This case put new life into my Atrix so I am happy for the time being. I bought silicon covers for the ports off Ebay for a few bucks to keep out dust. Anyway just my opinion on things.

Rocketfish EVO LTE TPU case, anyone got pics/fitment?

im a fan of the original rocketfish tpu case for the evo, although i had to cut out for the button holes, etc.. it still served me well cheaply.
the ones for the lte look equally impressive, this time the button holes look cut out.
and come in pink/transparent smoke
anyone bought and got pics and fitting, remarks?
thanks
Case fits well and all holes are cut perfectly. Camera button works well. Power button not quite as good.

Case does fit well, but I would say the opposite about the buttons (which are all covered, btw), I find the power button to be perfect, but half pressing the camera is near impossible. I can't feel where that half step is, you know? And I find myself searching for the volume rocker a lot. Having said that, this thing is a joy to hold. I originally picked mine up at bb intending to return it when my Diztronic ones came in, but it really won me over. The cutouts are perfect, it's snug in all the right places, and it feels great in the hand. The Diztronic ones are pretty awesome also, but I didn't like how the cutouts felt. I decided to keep the rocketfish one on my evo and use the other ones as backups. + 1, would buy again.
interesting. i can see in the pic that the power button looks to be halfway covered.
wth?
Actually the power button is completely covered. The cut out part is the headphone jack and second mic.
I - love - this - case. I have never had any of my phones protected with any case protectors because they all sucked donkey balls. I usually just used skin protectors, because cases add bulk to an already bulky or sleek phone. The EVO LTE is a sleek slim phone that can easily slip in and out of pockets fast. The TPU case that Sprint sent everyone was slim and provided protection, but it was NOT easy to get into and out of pockets.
So, stumbled into Best Buy to get a Zagg HD screen protector and asked where the EVO LTE accessories were at. I see this and tried it on for size and was really pleased. I don't regret the decision and have actually saved my ass when the phone was dropped the same day. I love it because of 3 important factors:
1) Does not add any noticeable girth. It doesn't add any huge lip to the front, just enough to keep the screen off the surface when the screen is placed downward. The back adds no thickness because it is flushed to camera lens "bump".
2) Slick case makes it easy to get it into my pocket, and very easy to get it out fast. It doesn't have that "sticky" feeling. It might be a bad or good thing. If I have it in my hands, I want it sticky. Otherwise, I think it was a good trade-off.
3) Buttons are covered. I know some people don't like the buttons covered, but when I usually drop my phones, the buttons are the ones to get scuffed first. I wanted my phone protected from those scuff marks and any accidental water that might get near it. I like it protected as much as possible. The buttons are still easy to press, but I kinda get confused where to press, unless I feel for the grooves really well or look at where I'm pressing. I think RocketFish could improve here. They need to make the covered buttons provide more tactile feedback or maybe an option to have the buttons color coded, or even add some stickers in the package so we the user could add different colored stickers if we wanted them. In fact, I'm patenting the idea of including different color stickers (of varying sizes for different buttons or locations) to phone protectors so people can decide IF, WHERE, and what COLORS they want on their protector. Heck, maybe even some logo stickers if you want.
That's my 2 cent review.
I bought the case as well. Adds no bulk and protects it well. Highly recommend
Sent from my EVO using XDA
Bought this case and it fits perfectly. Like others have said it adds little to no bulk to the device. The buttons are covered but I have not problem pressing them. I highly recommend this case for those who don't like those bulky cases such as the otterbox.

It's a $25 Soft Gel case that you can get today at your local Best Buy without having to wait. You get what you paid for. Yeah, I would have preferred it cheaper, but I got instant gratification.
Good investment for this case. I dropped it on the pavement getting out of my car on 6/9, made very little noise when hitting the ground. I picked it up and after close inspection I found only a very small nick on the case in the corner. Much better than scratching the aluminum.
Very happy with it, but like stated earlier, I would like to feel the half press of the shutter a little more.

There seems to be some confusion between the terms "TPU case" and "soft gel case". A gel case is squishy and sticky in your pocket, and will pull your pocket inside out when you try to get it. A TPU case is harder, stiff but flexible plastic that is more neutral feeling in terms of grip. They're not interchangeable terms. Diztronics makes an excellent TPU case for under $10.

TPU is definitely not gel.. If you're happy with a 25$ tpu because you didn't wanna wait 3ish days, thats great! I personally feel you get better quality, design and prices when you order it.

Next time you should just buy four of these for the same price, which look to be the exact same case: http://www.ebay.com/itm/GLASSY-BLACK-TPU-SOFT-COVER-CASE-HTC-EVO-LTE-ONE-SPRINT-/221044232781?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item337743524d#ht_3047wt_1165

TPU Cases?

Anyone find any good tpu cases?
I found a couple on Amazon but most with bad reviews. Most complaints were that the cases do not fit.
I found this one.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I86GGII/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_22zhtb0CC8DKH
It has no reviews yet and I bought it ...I don't have it yet... But let's hope it's good.
I have this one. It fits. It's snug, but it fits. The buttons are pretty hard to press though. It will do until some other options come out I guess!
If I could have any case for this device, I would want a Gumdrop Bounce Skin.
My wife has one for her Ipad air with a glass screen protector and there is nothing like it. Survives drops and a 5 year old, feels great to touch, sticks to your hand so you can use if one handed without a strap, sticks enough to a table or whatever so you can just lean it up against anything (wall, pillow, monitor, shelf, pencil holder, ...) and it stays at the same angle you set it down at, easy.
I just love this thing. If gumdrop doesn't make it, I'm going to have to bribe a silicone guy and get him to copy one for me. I think I could almost duplicate it with RTV silicone rubber if I bought two of them cut them up to fit and then did a two part mold, but it would take a bit of thinking and I don't know how well RTV silicone would last (but it would have the right shore A hardness to feel great and "stick" in all the right ways).
The best thing about the case is that while it grabs lint and stuff like most silicone cases, it does not feel bad and does not inhibit its stickiness. This might not make sense to you if you aren't acutely aware of everything you touch and how it feels (and I wish I didn't), but if you are sensitive to it, this is amazing. Now I haven't covered it in baby powder or anything, but it is amazing not having to worry about tossing it on a pile of laundry or the bed or the carpet and it not getting so covered in tiny dust that you feel like you have to wask it off. Even my otterbox for my GS4 makes me feel like that sometimes, but not my wife's gumdrop bounce, man I'm envious of that skin.
If you want here is the link to it on amz. for the ipad. they even have it in like 7 colors, I just wish they made it for the Note pro.., maybe they will.
http://www.amazon.com/Gumdrop-Cases-Bounce-Skin-BOUNCE-IPAD5-LTBLU-V3/
I got my Poetic Graph Grip yesterday. I'm pretty torn about it. The fit is great, it is much better protection than the Fosmon case linked above that I have, it is comfortable to hold BUT... it is heavy!! It adds a significant amount of weight to an already large tablet. And it also seems to be a bit of a dog fur/dust magnet. Which is a problem in a house with three dogs! So I'm not sure whether I will continue to use it or not.
OK I got the tpu case.... And it's pretty good. The buttons are a little hard to press especially the power button.... Other than that it's not bad.
