Damn, this stuff is _good_

Oh wow. I just bought an XDA two days ago, and have spent a lot of time reading up right here.
You XDA developer people truly rock! Thank you for setting up such a great site, and for doing all the hard work. I recently moved to The Netherlands (to teach electronics design), and I look forward to contributing something on this site as soon as I get more familiar with the device.

Hello HTC Flyer!

Just wanted to say hello! DInc and Xoom user, so I'm bringing whatever knowledge I have to the HTC Flyer. I waited, and HTC/Best Buy dropped the price, so I pulled the trigger. So, that means I'll be browsing these forums more, trying to help if I can, since I've done pretty much everything you can do to a DInc, and learned a lot from that.
I hope I can help out some people here, and learn to use this thing for good! Looking forward to using this pen for work notes, so hello all!

[Q] Should i get an sgs2 or wait?

So my htc desire got stolen and therefore i need a new phone.Basically my eyes went immediately on an sgs2. Should i buy a galaxy s 2 now or wait for an sgs3?Sgs2 is a beast with its screen ,soc etc.Thx, every opinion will help!!
Why wait? If and when the SG3 comes out, you can then keep waiting for the SG4. If you like the phone buy it and don't wait.
If you keep waiting, you will never be able to buy anything...
I agree with Lennyz1988's suggestion, you should buy S2 now instead of waiting for S3.
go for it , you have made the right choice.
agreed with above
there is tons of things u can do with sgs2 and its just one update from beating nexus that came out few months ago

Merry Christmas fellow android lovers

I know its not a question, but would like to just say thanks to everyone in this misfit forum for making our phone a better device. Just shows what can happen when people work together. I know I've learned alot about android in the last 10 months & thank you guys for all your help along the way. Let's hope the New Year brings us new possibilities for this misfit of a phone....THANKS AGAIN EVERYONE..MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!
This happens to be my very first post on XDA. I'm one of those silent followers, reading, re-reading, scratching my head, pulling my hair, but smiling in the end bc of you Devs. I went back to stock last night to flash 2.3.5 and it kept saying error "build.prop & verification blah blah". I'm freaking out. Since I'm on vacation, I tether my phone for internet (throttled, of course, bc I've been downloading as much as a middle school boy with the parents out). I spend forever loading pages, too stubborn to ask a question and too afraid of the "dude, have you ever heard of the search feature?" Yes, mister, I have read about that feature. But I deleted it and need you to send me a link So, it's Christmas Eve and I'm sitting in a Chinese restaurant enveloped in a sea of S. Florida Jews that my sister loves to talk with every year. We're the only Catholics in the room, but she feels right at home. Idk. It may have been Moses working, but I realized I was on 2.3.3. Huzzah! As soon as we got back I immediately satiated my flash fix. Thanks Ace for the nandroid. X-mas came early. Thanks everyone for your help. I've learned so much for my first smart phone bc of XDA and y'all. I really fear ppl are going to be moving on soon. I fear that a lot. I don't know how ppl can go through phones like it's an accessory. I got my phone on August 6th and am sticking with this to at least my 2 year update. Don't worry. I foresee our unlock is near.
Sorry for the long post, if you made it this far. My next ones won't be this bad.
Big thanks to DEVS and...Ashlepedia. I categorize you, Ash, with the Devs bc of the amount of work you put in to this forum. I rooted around the same time you did and it's been great watching how much you've learned. I'll get whatever phone you get next.
Happy holidays, everyone from Old Testament to New to none.
Gtg to run to bed so Nicolas doesn't get mad. I heard he's brining me an Otterbox this year.

Another New Tablet S Owner

I was thrilled when the Tablet S first came out and really loved its unique design and Sony customizations. But I was invested in other Android devices at the time, and I never purchased one.
But over the weekend, I finally pulled the trigger and got a great deal on a new 32Gb Tablet S with Cradle on Woot.com.
I know I am little late to the party and I don't have any questions - most seem to be answered here. Just wanted to say that I am excited to join up with all of you!

Congrats. Its a one of a kind tablet that is also very functional. A few things that bother me are the wifi instability and frequent ics screen flicker. Hopefully those software issues get addressed by the supposed 4.1 update sometime in a near near future.
I made the same buy and got mine today. Did ICS update and then a hard reset. Everything is running great so far. Only played with it for a bit.
It is a sexy piece... 399+ was too much, but for 260 I felt good about purchase.

I havent yet unboxed it.. vacation bills are all coming due and the expenditure might raise tempers, but it was too good a deal to pass up.
Of course, I also know that I better unbox it soon and make sure it works, knowing Woot.
