RAZR XT910 U.K Edition unboxing with Photos - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hello all,
Here's my unboxing if anyone is interested what you get in the package. It is not a rich package but the phone itself is gorgeous and beautiful.
RAZR XT910 Box, simple and plain. This is the UK edition XT910. The US version XT912 comes with a much more appealing box as usual. Motorola always gives their best to US !

Opened the pandora's box, no surprises
Box contents : Charger, data cable and the standart EH25 headset which used to come inside Milesone A853 and XT720 boxes. I hoped to get EH20 ROKR headsets, shame on you for putting some cheap headset inside this box Motorola EUROPE office !
Allright, we see that you're as sharp as a RAZR and as shiny as a Diamond
It loves to tattoo my fingerprints unlike my Atrix loves to read them.
Stunningly well colors and brightness. This is what a SAMOLED display should have been from the beginning. I assure you it show WHITES as WHITE unlike those sammy's which tries to fool whites with Green or Blue
Do i deserve some little advertisement for my forum in the end ? You're welcome.
All the best, Semseddin !

Interesting.
Do you mind setting the screen's brightness to as low as it will go and taking another picture?

Why would i Here you go. Some shots with the lowest brightness. They're still very bright, i can say that even at its lowest brightness, it is like %70 brightnetened GS2. LovelY !!!!!
If anyone have questions, feel free to ask. BTW my kevlar strip isnt filmsy. It is the backplate itself that comes off, not the kevlar strip.

Much appreciated. My concern was the "green screen" flaw that was being reported when under low brightness levels. I see maybe a very small amount of green shade, but nothing to be concerned about in your picture. Does it look green at all to the naked eye?

No, it doesn't look green but at the lowest brightness i can sense colors not as natural as they used to be in auto or max brightness. I stick my eyeball on the screen, oh sh*t, i can see some pixaletion, i think i shouldn't stick my eye to the display when i use this phone like all of my other phones
You should go to nearest shop tomorrow and check it yourself, m8 !

And would anyone kind to port bootanimation from XT912 to XT910 ?

Unboxing video for South East Asia region by me ^^
Sorry about my English

Strangely, another user who posted the Unboxing pictures first here had a ROKR headset...mind taking a look and seeing why you have a different pair? If that is a US version, then we arrive to another question, why this differentiation?

[q] how to tell if the htc hd2 is not fake?

Hi fellas,
I have recently bought a new HTC HD2 phone and it arrived a few days ago from Hong Kong.
Other than checking IMEI, is there any way to find out if the phone is a fake/replicate one from the phone appearance, etc.?
If I had known there are any fake HTC phones, I would have bough from more reputable retailers. I really didn't think the modern technology of HTC Hd2 can be faked...
Any idea would be appreciated.
If you can upload pictures that would be great. If its from Hong Kong and you bought it on eBay for a super low price its most likely fake. But you can tell if its real when while operating it the phone should feel like a badass piece of equipment. Or compare it to the people who show theirs on YouTube.

Look at the difference between Revisions of the two different parts of the box:
img17.imageshack.us/img17/287/img5655d.jpg ( REV B) look at the red arrow
img571.imageshack.us/img571/5381/img5656m.jpg (REV A ) look at the red arrow
Why they should differ in Revision? Is your phone boxing is the same?
--------------
And two pics from from the battery section.

Is the IMEI stickers color inside of your phone is grayish? Or is it white? ( mine is grayish )
img38.imageshack.us/img38/4948/img5659n.jpg
Is the only word on your battery is "HTC"?
Thanks buddy
Our phone boxes are 500% different, when i get home i'll upload a picture of mine for you to see.
As for the phone itself i noticed a few differences b/w yours and mine, (NOTE) phones can get modified by the company and be released in a new batch to fix errors from first release.
But in the picture where the back of your phone was showing, at the bottom left theres a red dot.. On mine it's yellow, at the very top of that theres a white dot, mine is black. Small variations nothing too drastic, but as i said, when i get home (Currently in school) i will edit this post with pictures of mine.
The battery is the same

Thanks mate. But I would delete the last image because all your phone specifications are visible...
Other than the box, our phones are almost similar.
I just tried to upgrade my ROM and received this message: The serial number you’ve provided appears to be invalid. Please try again.
So I am still worried.

So they have the same form factor, same processor, RAM, etc. And it's hard to spot a fake?
How can I know mine is not one (I got mine from eBay as well)?

trust me, if it would be really a fake, the differences would be definitelly bigger.
just to say, mine looks exactly like urs. the battery not, but ur battery is just a newer version than mine my friends got the same...
oh and the box looks like mine too, but i dont know my revision
lets just say, if its a t8585 and runs as it should, and if u can flash custom roms, run android and so on, its real. and i really think its real
EDIT: fakes look like this: http://www.engadget.com/2010/05/06/keepin-it-real-fake-htc-hd-too/

Chinese-made Galaxy S II???

I just received my GS II (ordered from Amazon US) and found out the sticker inside the battery compartment says "Made in China"!! I was like, what the?? I thought the GS II was supposed to (still) be made in Korea!! The writing on the GS II box and the quick instruction manual are all in Spanish. The warranty card is also in Spanish and seems to be for Venezuela.
Anybody knows if there are any differences (specs, performance, quality, etc.) between the Korean and the Chinese GS II's? I'm afraid mine is a counterfeit/fake unit and is inferior to the Korean GS II's. And worst, there was no factory seal whatsoever (or any kind of seal for that matter) on my GS II packaging!! Should I be worried? Should I just return it to Amazon and get a full refund before I regret it?
Thanks in advance and sorry for rambling. Just being paranoid after shelling out such a chunk of $$$ and receiving something that's not what I'd thought/expected it would be.
Why do you even care? its still a Galaxy S 2
Mine says made in Korea by Samsung.
If yours was a fake surely they'd fake the label too to say made in Korea? Maybe some are made in china. I'd contact amazon if your worried, unlikely they'd sell fakes given the size of the company. Tell them you want a refund anyway cos all the stuff with it is in Spanish and you can't read it

Like I said, it's just me being paranoid. Did some research online and found out some people not being satisfied when they received the non-Korean made GS II.
Actually, it's not that I'm worried about my GS II being a counterfeit one. I'm afraid the Chinese-made ones are inferior to the Korean-made ones (in terms of spec, performance, quality, etc).
Thanks, though. Maybe I'm just worrying for no reason.
The build can be from Korea, China and Brazil, there is a thread about it. And soon they are going to start making them in Argentina, I think this is just assembling...
Mine is made in China as well and came from Chile, the phone is perfect as the SGS2 can be, nothing different other than being made in China.

Hahaha.... Naaah! Everything looks and appears the same as every other GS II I've seen online. Only difference is the sticker on the battery compartment says "Made in China/Hecho en China". No 2nd SIM card slot! Was just worrying for nothing, I guess.
Anyway, will try to power it up for the first time tonight after work. Hopefully my unit doesn't have the dreaded display problem of yellowish tint on the left side of the screen! Crossing my fingers :-\

Looks like both cell phone and batt were manufactured in June 2011.

What is it exactly that I am supposed to be angry about?

The creation of a developer edition in Europe was the most efficient way to deliver an unlockable device."
Efficient or profitable???

Red DNA

We've all seen the red version, going to some Verizon staff.
Would anyone have opted for the red instead of the one they are going to get?
A somewhat negative on that is the total shout out to anyone being filmed publicly in a candid attempt.
Plus holding it to your ear might even out trump the Note as to the "Hey, I'm on the phone", look.
Just FYI, filming people without their permission is illegal and judges tend to take that pretty seriously.
To me, this phone looks sleek. Adding a red back is trying too hard to stand out - like putting a giant ricey spoiler on a ferrari 458 to try to make what already stands out stand out even more.

Wrong. Photography/videography is completely legal in public areas in the United States. Source: I used to be a photog for a news paper.
Way too bright red for my tastes. As a graduate of Texas Tech I do love the red & black color scheme of the regular retail version

There's a reason why they cover faces and such though. Celebrities are actually covered differently under law than "normal" people. When the press puts "normal" people in the paper, they ask if it's ok first (or they are supposed to). Well, it could be different in Virginia than other states.
Red is a little much, but I do wish they brought over the white version on the other hand.
I just wish they had added red soft keys like the Rezound. Other than that I love the way it looks as is.

That's the HTC Butterfly J. You can have it if you move to Japan. It has a removable SD card.
100% sure that's the Butterfly J just by the "all" logo which is a carrier over there.
There are no pictures of it yet, but there was a source that said there would be as well as the Razr HD and M.

Wrong again. They are only being polite by asking for consent. I can go out on any street in America, take photos of all the random people I want, and do what I want with those photos. As long as I'm not photographing someone who has a "reasonable expectation of privacy" (ie, through a window into their home, in a bathroom, etc), they cannot do anything to legally stop me.

Unfortunately this isn't going to help anything. There are various other "dev" DNA's floating around that have s-off as well. Doesn't help us at all. We know where the s-off flag is, we just don't have an exploit to change it.

One thing I do know, is that HTC would have a huge seller if they would just offer it in more colors such as this one, a green, dark blue, white, yellow, ect... The finish on the back of this device looks very nice in other colors.
guys, i think the thing to remember is that i bet that whole baby blue color scheme is simply like a pre-treated back/buttons etc..they probably just made it all one uniform color, bc i don't think it was like a limited edition or sometihng especially withn the red speaker grills..who knows, maybe the initial color of the material used before its fully treated IS that color blue?
i dont think its a HTC J butterfly not too sure, everything software wise like model number and junk are all the same that i checked to my release version but PRL verison i think or something like that was different in one area and it had a beta serial number.
Here is some pics inside, i guess this ones small board has a possible slot or area the SD card reader would go but who knows if its for that or not. You can compare with pictures of the release version board in my thread on droidforums.
Also as far as the color goes, i think they test out different colors before they choose which they want, same with many other prototype phones, always different themes or colors. This color looks to be the same color on the windows 8x htc phone which is limited edition for employees. The back is the same feel as release models are so yep. I will have the HTC J Butterfly in a few days and i will take it apart and post pics of the inside of that one also.

Thanks. I'm assuming it has to do with Verizon playing around for what color to use for the employee edition.

The little shield with the hole in it is a cover for the pads where the sdcard slot goes on a butterfly. Whether we could theoretically solder an sdcard in there is another question...
