Are there Schools Specifically for Mobile Education? - Online Courses, Schools, and Other External Resour

Hi guys I've been Wondering if there were Classes designed Specifically for Mobile Development, or would it basically just consist of a basic Computer course?
I'm in Connecticut, so if Anyone has Any Recommendations they could share Please feel Free in doing so...
Thanxx!

Full Sail University looks like they have an interesting Bachelor of Science program for Mobile Development. I requested info some time ago, and I might start the course come spring.

can i find the app for medical student??

thanks, just like some anatomy altas or video of medical
I'm not sure about an anatomy atlas. But my wife who is a Nurse and currently in a DNP (Doctorate of Nursing Practice) program uses the UNBOUND suite http://www.unboundmedicine.com/store/android and loves it. She uses it day to day for looking up medicines, symptoms, etc. So I would recommend you check that out. They were the first to have a full suite for android.
SkyScape works well

Well, that is a paid app if I'm not wrong ergo it can not be requested here!
If it's this app just buy it and see it as an investment for your career

Try the medscape app, it had good quality contents with ample coverage, and it's free.

Is there anyone planning on trying to hack the NFL mobile app this year if there's a season?

I hope so, but hell even last year it would work for like a week then verizon/nfl would release a "performance" upgrade, which all it did was patch the app. So then you would have to wait another 2 weeks for it to get hacked again and only work for a few more days before another "performance" upgrade again.
Plus I think that now you have to actually link an account number to the app (im not a 100% if that is true, but I did read it somewhere) Whereas before the hack was just using a store demo phone number...it will be ALOT harder to hack it if thats the case.
Heres the latest nfl apk: http://www.MegaShare.com/3506031 Hopefully somebody finds a way to make it work. Id be more than happy to donate if they do.

Too bad that is not what the topic is about. I would love to see a hacked version. I just don't know if we will get one.
Glitch kernel let me OC to 1.4!
Any word yet?

The NFL/Verizon exclusive app is strictly poor business.
Why restrict an app for the most popular sport in America to one carrier?
Whoever decided to make this Verizon only should be terminated.
It's no wonder Verizon has difficulty settling a labor agreement.
All their money is tied up in licensing fees.
I have a feeling this hack is dead to bad it was a nice app, I always hate having to go to websites to watch other games.

You guys gonna get in trouble discussion about hacking the NFL app.,
Lol nah it would be nice to have this app back, but I just don't think there is much interest in trying to get it working again, oh well nice while it lasted

Ohh I have to disagree. There would be a lot of intrest if this app was working again.

Yeah, directv has screwed me over for the 3 years i've been with them for sunday ticket.
When I first signed up with them, they told me I got it for free. But then once they came and set it up they told me that they didn't process the order in time, therefor I missed out on sunday ticket for free.
Then I moved, and they had that big deal about "movers connection, we set you up for free and give you sunday ticket for no cost". Well, wouldn't you know it I move and they set me up for free, but according to them "I missed being a loyal customer by 8 days, therefor I am not eligible for the sunday ticket offer"
I think my best bet (if not going to verizon) is I am going to switch to dishtv, they offer slingbox with their boxes and you can get the redzone channel for $7.99/mo.
Directv doesnt just offer redzone, you have to buy the whole damn package. $400 for a season of football is insane.
This isn't a "bash direct tv" thread, its a "hack nfl mobile" thread. Let's keep it that way so maybe some nice dev will do just that. And maybe figure out a way to keep it working all season.
also would love this for my iconia tab. its great on my tiny INC2 screen...

This is a sad day for pure android lovers. We will be missing the main man behind cyanogenmode. We will be missing samsung,HTC,Acer and may be LG from the main android scenario cause moto will get the first mover advantage for any new android release.Google will treat all other manufactures as second citizens and guss what Microsoft is waiting for this, they are already offering profit sharing between partners.

from the link in the first post:
In one of most important news from Android hacking scene, Steve Kondik aka Cyanogen has announced via his Facebook profile that he now works for Samsung Mobile. This lead developer and founder of CyanogenMod also stated that his side project CM is not affiliated in any way with this employer.
There is no word on how this will impact CyanogenMod, but there shouldn’t be much. CyanogenMod is a result from community of devs, with Steve contributing significantly to it.

May be but I am concerned about the second problem. Users don't want android to be in the hands of one company.we need more companies following android it can give us more choice more freedom and value for money.obviously we need Samsung for sgs2,HTC for their sense, sony for that PlayStation controlls,Acer for their value for money approach and LG for their **** coding.

Honestly, when I look around in the XDA forums and see how many mods you can find for a given phone model, most of them running faster and better then stock rom, I always wonder how come none of these talented programmers are not hired by the phone companies. Most of the time, in the software team they have people who miss the passion that these devs have.
On the other hand, it will be interesting to see how much he will be able to work for Samsung, as any big company has a lot of rules and regulations to follow, that he might not be very fond of.
So what's next?
We can expect Microsoft to pick up RIM and HTC much like it picked up Nokia, lock down computer hardware manufacturers with stringent guidelines and add stores to compete with Apple on service. Apple will aggressively build out its cloud infrastructure and beef up AppleTV to fend off the XBox. Google will continue to beef up its productivity apps and focus on consumer hardware. All three will compete on the next generation of answers-oriented, Siri-like search.
Even the carriers could be in play, with former Apple President Jean-Louis Gassée predicting that Google will acquire TMobile. Sound crazy? Comon Google needs stores to compete with Apple and Microsoft. And owning a carrier just raises the stakes for the other two even further. Its no crazier than Google buying Motorola. Game on.

Cyanogen to make Android 'more awesome'
Free whitepaper – CIOs feel the pressure to optimize the online experience
The creator of one of the most popular Android modification kits has taken a job as a software engineer with Samsung's mobile device unit.
Steve Kondik, the hobbyist hacker behind CyanogenMod software, confirmed the appointment with Samsung Mobile on his Facebook page and to several bloggers.
“I will be working on making Android more awesome,” he told AndroidandMe.
In a dispatch to AndroidGuys, Kondik indicated he had no plans to step away from CyanogenMod:
... it's a job and I'm glad that I can use what I learned from all this to do something cool in the real world I'll still be doing code review and some leadership for CM, but I'll be keeping it legit like always. ... I think we really broke away from the modding community. Most of us are professional engineers or in the field some way or another.

Invited LG to join XDA G2 forum...

I've sent personal message via FB to LG and they replied "Thank you for the information" offered them be first major mobile factory to be active here and gain real beast reputation across the professional android users....
Who at this company did you think is going to join this forum? They don't have the staff to be wasting time on here. Also, you'd be sending them right to the place where people talk about how to do things like root.

Well if their marketing will see what users need maybe they will help the users to gain more reputation in the professional dev community? same as mainboard and CPU companies did overclock friendly products once they realized it can bring them the other side of the market....
Do you guys really think they dont know what XDA is, considering how big it is?
Half the things in there Rom come from xda roms. There we'll aware of what xda is and does. As are all manufacturers. It would be to have an LG rep participating in conversations

Yes invite them here. Help with unlocking sources or Block custom roms. Lock the boot tougher.
I do not think either will happen. But if the positive outcome would be possible so could be the negative .
Either way wishful thinking.

When will XDA members understand the fact that we as a community are just a small percentage of their sales and they have no need to listen to our demands.
As a matter of fact I'm willing to bet, us as a community have cost manufactures more money than any other groups or the casual consumer.
Bricking phone, OCD exchange after exchanges cause of minor imperfections.
I'm willing to bet manufactures actually hate us

How about the double tap to wake ? Next big thing? I think they got that from xda. Had that on my evo lte about 5 months ago. Lol
Sony's developer used to come to XDA and help the XDA developers with Kernels and helping them in building CM by providing them with necessary drivers for EXMOR sensor etc. They used to come to XDA and post the alpha version of the firmware and help them identify the problems. It would be great if other company follow the same.
LG is here as well, just in secret, so you know!

I have been part of close, collaborative, manufacturer/consumer teamwork facilitated thru forums and online organizations before. The benefit to both parties is immense. Any company that would willingly forsake the opportunity to engage one-on-one with their most passionate and informed customers is fundamentally flawed.
That said, I can virtually guarantee a tech-centric company like LG has an entire department dedicated to data mining on the 'net.

Unbloating is easy. Root and uninstall the AT&T apps. Or freeze them.
As far as cooks- how about you start learning how to do it? I've taken my time as a short-order Android cook and let me tell you, nothing becomes more annoying than posts like this without an offer to help. You got an awesome, albeit proprietary, device. Proprietary devices ALWAYS see less development. :good:

While I have zero chef skills, with these going for $200 unlocked on ebay, maybe we could donate $20 a pop to get one for a potential chef. I'd even offer up some ProClip car mounts at my cost to help the cause. I won't complain since I know how time consuming it is and people already have their personal devices and usually one or two more they support. For $200 though, this seems like great piece of kit to have as a backup/toy to play with, especially with a real keyboard dock.
Just bought mine yesterday and hope to bring some development to this device.
