Is there an App or an adapter on the market to turn the headphone or USB jack into a line-input?

That rules out the headphone jack, but it didn't mention the USB..

I currently own a diamond and I like being able to slot it straight into my brodit holder in the car and have a fully hands free kit and an MP3 player through the stereo. But when I had my M5000 I had to fart about with 2 leads, one for power and one for the audio/mic.
I am thinking of upgrading to a HD, does the mini usb port do the audio as well as the charging or is the only option to use the 3.5mm jack plug for this.

I would like to know if there is an extUSB to 3,5mm jack adapter which also makes it possible to use the microphone on my earbuds. So i need one with an extra connector for my mic to use (like the iphone has).

Source one from a HTC Snap. I upgraded from a Snap (S511) to the TP2, and it works tits.

My Monitor has an hdmi port,If i buy an HDMI cable and connect it to monitor, i know that i will get the display, but unfortunately my Monitor doesn't have inbuilt speakers
Any idea how to get sound !!

I think so. HDMI also doesn't transmit sound if I'm right.

Hmdi transmits video and audio. If your monitor has a headphone jack you will get sound out.
No jack on monitor..
But as neo has it, can i plug my speakers into it to enjoy sound with video ??
Please if you can plug the hdmi and check that whether it transmits sound from 3.5 jack while in tv-out

So i have a pair of phillips earphones with 3.5mm* jack but no sound comes out and i know i need to buy a adapter.. but which one? female male? i dont understand those..!help please

i thought the ray was a 3.5mm jack :S
when thinking about male and female adaptors, think of... ahem... private parts. Your phone is the female as you plug the male in... if you get me?
do you mean your headphones have the massive jack that go into AV amps and professional equipment or them wierd small ones that sony used to use on their headphones about half way down the cable?

I think ray has a 3,5 mm jack too. I don't understand what your problem is. You are searching like this adapter?
When he said there's no sound, maybe the earphones are not compatible?
