Can we use a USB-C headphone jack adapter for a phone which already has a jack - Moto X4 Accessories

My headphone jack has finally stopped working:crying:
Can i use a USB-C adapter cable for my earphones to work?
Since my speaker is also blown up and jack is the only source of talking on phone.

Use apple Iphone headphones with mic with GSM touchpro 2 with mini usb to 3.5mm jack?

Hey guys i was wondering i have the apple iphone headphones with the built in mic and ive used it on my moterola rokr e8 just by plugging it into the 3.5mm jack on the phone. Now i know the htc touch pro 2 only has miniusb my question is that is it possible to use an adapter from miniusb to 3.5mm to get it not only the headphones to work but the mic as well?
anyone have any ideas?
I'm surprised you haven't gotten any response to this. I am sure you can use the earphones. The question is will the mic work? My adapter has a built in mic so I can't answer that part. Sorry.

ohh alright and which adapter are you using? i have an adapter one with a mic as well for the htc but i find the cord gets really long and it kind of annoying that the mic is on the adapter cuz the headphones are much closer and you have to clip the adapter close to your face but yeah which adapter do you use?
Not working
I think it's not working properly.
I previously read this in an another thread. Earphones are working but not the mic because it's not the same wiring. If i remenber, volume control on the headphone will work too.
I think it depends on the adapter you are using. From what I understand the OEM HTC adapters will allow a headset mic to work, but some of the off-brand (non-OEM) ones don't work with mics.

extUSB to 3,5mm jack adapter

Hi guys,
I would like to know if there is an extUSB to 3,5mm jack adapter which also makes it possible to use the microphone on my earbuds. So i need one with an extra connector for my mic to use (like the iphone has).

That rules out the headphone jack, but it didn't mention the USB..

Headphone jack issues!

Hey Guys,
First of all, I'm not sure I'm posting under the right thread, please do let me know if it isn't!
I recently flashed Carbon 4.4.2 on a Xperia ray, and it is awesome :good: !
My issues are with audio. Connecting my headset (Sol Republic Master Tracks) without ANY audio playing, I hear periodic muffled thuds, almost as if the ray has a pulse
While playing audio, the sounds cease and am able to hear the music, but the quality is quite terrible.
The controls on this headset are made to work with iDevices, the volume controls do not work.I find that pressing and holding the call accept/disconnect button on the headset solves this issue!
The muffled sounds too are no more, with no audio and the button pressed. However, this is quite a nuisance as you can imagine!
I faced the same issue with LXP as well, had changed ROMs hoping to solve this, but in vain!
Thoughts!?
i am sure that the audio socket of your devices is incompatible to the audio jack of your headphones, you can try to use some audio jack with this

Ah, thank you for your input!
I've no idea what to look for, though. Is there a 3.5 mm to 3.5mm jack or something?
I'm still lost.
Anybody, anything?

No, no software problem. 2011 Xperias uses OMTP connector, while iDevices and others uses CTIA connector. CTIA is new standard, OMTP is old. You can buy OMTP > CTIA converter to use your headset. Check accessories thread for something similar

Hmmmm....the headphone you use is not compatible with the devices but it doesn't mean it will not work at all....just connect it slowly at the headphone jack port while playing a songs....do not push the jack to the end...it need to be like in this picture below....you will know when to stop pushing it when you hear the songs like it suppose to.....

Chargingstand with Audio

Hi,
I am looking for a charging stand with audio connector.
Has anyone seen something like this?
Cheers,
codiak
You mean a stand that has a USB-C and a headphone plug for added stability? Or a USB-C stand that has an inbuilt DAC and a headphone jack?

I mean a stand that has USB C and working audio jack. I want to use it as a night stand and listen to music via attached speakers.
For now, I am using a universal stand but its quite fiddly to connect usb and audiocable every time. The Oneplus One had the audio port on top, that was easier.
