Bug in HTC Radar while playing MP3 files - HTC Radar

Hi all, I'm playing a small MP3 file using Zune on my HTC Radar, and the audio at the start of the file gets truncated. The test file is attached.
For example, the Audio clip I uploaded says "Hi, this is a Test Recording". When this is played on the PC, we hear the exact recording, but when this same file is played on my HTC Radar, I only hear:
"......this is a test Recording"
This file also plays fine on the following Windows 7 Phones:
HTC HD7
Asus E600
Can someone here please download the file on their Radar and confirm that this is a problem with HTC Radar phones, or is my piece defective??
Thanks!!!

Turn off the equalizer.
Was the same for me on the HTC Radar.

Video file on Hero

A few questions....
If I'm copying video files from my computer to my Hero
1) What video file formats are recognised on the Hero?
2) Of these, which are the best to use?
3) If I have my SD card mounted on the computer - where is the best place to store them too?
cheers,
the Hero plays only .mp4 and .3gp at this time. And you have to use the h264 codec.
Video playback isnt smooth at this time, but this will be fixed for sure with the next update.
Just make a directory on the SD-card and put the videos in. If you use the app "Video Player" it will recognize the files itsef
On what are you basing your assumption that video playback will be fixed for sure in the next update?
my statement was maybe a bit too enthusiastic regarding the upcomming HTC update.... I should have written:
Video playback isnt smooth at this time, but this will hopefully be fixed with the next update.

Well I'm keeping my fingers crossed for sure, because that's one of the big things for me, that are working really poorly at this time.
I don't watch a lot of video, but it would sure be nice to have the whole Fawlty Towers series, a couple of family guy episodes, etc. on there to watch when I find myself bored...

Streaming to HTC HD

Can anyone help me to get the right settings voor streaming video to my HTC HD, working with WMDreamRemote.
I know the topic about it, works fine with a HD2, but i can get the video stream right on my touch HD. Audio works great.
Thanks already.

[Q] Can't Play wav files

Hello,
I get voice mail messages from my home phone VoIP line emailed to my Gmail account when I'm away as "wav" file attachment.
The problem is I've never been able to play them on my Xperia X10a.
I've red somewhere in this forum that "Mediascape" supports wav files but that is not the case with me. I've tried other media players as well to no avail.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Here is my wav audio file details:
Codec: 0x0031 (GSM 6.10)
Info: 8000Hz 13 kb/s (1 chnl)
Thanks.
I don't have an Xperia, but I do have another droid phone and I have the same problem. Actually it is not too uncommon, I have the same problem with my work voicemail system also. I also had the problem on my ATT Touch Pro also, Windows Mobile 6.1. I was able to get another audio player that would play the files, that was Core Player. I don't know what on the android side does it but you just might need to experiment. It is all about the audio codec that your phone system uses, I know ours couldn't be changed.
I finally got this to work after upgrading to Android 2.1 and then downloading the free "Remote Wave" app from AppBrain.
Thanks.

[Q] Questions regardin HD2 T-Mobile!

Good evening! I just bought a T-Mobile HTC HD2 and I want to know what program can I use to watch(convert) movies on it, as any movie I put on it, doesn't play it fluently, but with interruptions. Are there any codecs to install so that i can play movies on it?i also tried to put some avi/mp4 videos and they dont play at all .Although the manufacturer claims the phone can play Avi/mp4 etc! I know the phone comes with a card and with Transformers 1 & 2, but I didnt get the card from the person who sent it to me and I was just curious how those movies play. Can i find the movies anywhere? In the past i had 2 HD2's(not T-Mobile HD2) and when i wanted to put a wallpaper bigger the the screens resolution, the phone resized it to be used as wallpaper, but HD2 T-Mobile does not resize them but it stretches it and it looks ugly.I have only one more question for now:can flash player be installed on it?I found another problem :i set the time to a location, but every time i turn off the phone, when i switch it on it returns to GMT+2 Helsinki,Riga,Sofia and the clock goes an hour forward(I'm from Romania).

all of these questions can be answered by searching the forums....
id give you some links but im posting from device and its a pain in the ass....
ok, quick response - but dude, for everything I cant answer in one line off the top of my head seriously just search (and don't use the bad search engine on this site - search on google with xda in the box)
xmedia recode - great for converting - has a special htc hd2 setting
you don't need to install any codecs but if you want to install coreplayer to tcpmp
wallpaper - seach that, or batch resize, or if you're using CHT test the different wallpaper modes.
if flashplayer means flash - then yes, but search that
for the location - go into settings ---> and somewhere there (I would check in all settings and not in the sense settings) you can turn off autoupdate. If you want an exact place just search
Hope that helped a little bit more.
The thing that i find very weird is that a phone so powerful and with such great capabilities, can't play a video the right way(without converting it)and my Nokia N8 plays avi and mp4 videos without any problem(without converting them). On my old HD2 i tried to play some converted videos, but those didn't play well at all. It's like a 30FPS video that plays good, and a video taken at 15-20FPS that doesn't play that good. The N8 is just a simple phone with a great camera, and it can't be compared with the great HD2 and it's great hardware.
one answer for video..plays all formats, no need for converting...drag/drop and play....coreplayer 1.3.6 (paid version) or tcmp player (same free version)..enjoy
for wallpapers_install cookies home tab (CHT), and CHT editor
MP4 and AVI are not a consistand file formats. If you think of them as folders inwhich video and audio compressed files are filed. For example a DIVX film is a .avi file. My DVD player can play back DIVX AVI files, but cannot playback some other AVI files.

[Q] One X+ cannot play video, One X plays perfectly

I have come along an issue I am quite perplexed. I got two factory reset phones, One X and One X+. I send over bluetooth the same exact video file, a 2Mb .avi sent over whatsapp to a third device.
The One X receives the file and it appears under All Downloads in the Gallery with its correct thumbnail and opens with no problem at all.
The One X+ is unable to assign a thumbnail or open the video at all.
Any ideas of how is this even possible?
I believe I can solve the issue with a third party app, but gallery is where I always go first for videos or photos and it is quite annoying to not be able to see what I want to select.
Could it be a codec issue or something similar? Should not both phones have equal video support?

I think you have problem with bad video codec from transfer, because i don't have this problem, but even i can play complete movie of about 1.3Gb with a flawlessly movement and even it can recognize the. mkv video
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda premium

It is the same exact file, one copy in the One X and another in the One X+, one plays it the other does not.
Someone knows something about the codec support of each device?
