Hi there guys. I have around 40 apps installed on my SGS2 and I am not sure whats causing this. My phone lights up, with the screen locked and it is extremely annoying. Do you have any idea what app can cause this? It just lights up for 1-2 seconds , every now and then. It is very random.

Suddenly, my phone screen just turns on for 2 seconds, then goes back to sleep

mine seems to do the same thing, i have my timeout set for few seconds so screen stays on for little bit, i cant seem to figure out what causes it.
This is a longshot, but Fancy Widget has an option to wake up the device to refresh. Maybe that's what's going on.
i dont have that app, but i do have unlock wifi. and keep my wifi on all day. i do notice that wifi disconnects sometimes even though in power setting i said for it to always stay on. Thats another issue though.
ss2006 what apps you have that do background stuff? i know i have craigslist and ebay, but usually i cant see any notification making it come on like you said.

since a couple of days it happens often to me that my screen won't turn off in standby, sometimes even when the screen is locked, though i´ve already disabled led notification both in the cyano options and in the single apps, like skype. It happens more often when the phone is plugged to the recharger. Has anyone else experienced this problem? any suggestion? ty in advance

My Folio with CM9 alpha 5 have a strange problem.
Sometimes (it seems to be random) the screen stays awake after turning off the device. The red LED also stays on. It seems like it doesn't want to turn off. Then I have to hold the power button for 10 sec to hard-turn-off it.
Also I got the screen flickering problem after waking up the device. I wonder if there's something common in the problems.
Anyone knows a solution?
In general the CM9 a5 is a nearly PERFECT rom. I mean it's like not a Folio. Almost every problems gone. I used foliomod 1.4 before and there were so much SOD which was a horror. Sometimes my images and videos from the SD card were deleted randomly.
All I miss about the CM9 a5 is the bluetooth. I hope they'll fix it soon or release an alpha 6.

I have foliomod installed and when I lock it, randomly turns on too, each 10 minutes or so... the only way to fix it is to turn it off, but it's annoying because I use it as an ebook sometimes. I was going to try CM but if you have the same problem...

I got my AT&T Galaxy S3 on Saturday and have seen this issue a couple of times now. The issue is that sometimes the screen will not lock after the time I have set (30 seconds). Also, the touch key lights stay on forever until I lock the phone. When I unlock it the touch key lights stay on and the screen doesn't lock. The only way I've found to fix it is a reboot. I first noticed this when I received a text. I use goSMS and have it set to turn the screen on for 10 seconds when a text is received.
Has anyone else noticed this issue or know how to resolve it?
I'm also having the wifi disconnect/reconnect issue and the issue with the cell standby using a lot of battery.
The phone is rooted with the stock ROM.

Hmm, I did turn off the wifi power save mode using *#0011* because of wifi disconnect issues. I went in and turned it back on and rebooted the phone. I'll see if I still get the screen lock issue.
Hello ppl today i noticed that my atrix screen is turned on for couple of seconds then off by it self well first i thoughts it maybe a notificatione so i cleared them but after a while i saw it keep doing it over and over wake up the screen for couple of seconds then turn it off .. over and over please idea what is going on and how to fix that ?? thanks in advance
Some application/game works in background and wakes up display?
Use better battery stats. It will help you find the app that is causing the issue.
