[Q] No colours after CM7.2 install - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Could anyone let me know if after installing the CM7.2 mod the settings menu icons are supposed to be grey? The little icon alongside the list of settings such as Wireless & Networks, Call settings, ADWLauncher etc..
Also i'm loving the ROM so fast and smooth why can't Samsung come up with something like this???
Thanks.

Lol....cm7 cannot be made by Samsung. And icons can be changed by changing themes. Eyecandy theme has good colorful icons.

[Q] notification window quick icons

Hello everyone,
I'm currently running MCCM SE 2.0 (miui customized ROM) with Hastarin 7.5 kernel. I had issues with the original kernels with freezing, so I switched. Now I'm having some more issues, but I'm tired of playing with this build, time for bigger and better (Hopefully more stable too!)
My question is this: MCCM 2.0 has quick links to enable/disable almost everything directly in the notification window (Wifi, APN, airplane, brightnes, etc.). I want a build that has this OR a way to plug this in an existing build. I've looked for apps that do it, but I'd rather have it integrated.
Thanks for your help, guys. This forum is much more helpful than others I've been in!
I'm not sure but the Sense builds should have a widget named energy control or something like that.

Yup, any build you can add a widget too you can add this to a home screen. Add a widget, choose Settings > Data Dashboard or Power Dashboard (on the new desire HD builds). Both of these combined give you almost complete control over the phone and it's functions. I don't think this is limited to the sense builds, I've seen loads of builds have these.
He is asking a different thing from the "power strip" or other widgets. In the MIUI roms you have those shortcuts NOT in the home screens but directly in the notification/status bar.

Yup I realise that but why have to pull down the notifications window when you can have it directly on the homescreen as a widget?

It's because I prefer a clutter-less environment. And considering it's one quick link bar instead of tons of random widgets... I mean it's all a question of taste, really. Many different options for many different people. I have apps on my main page I use frequently (With a few widgets) and the second page is a few more apps... All those shortcuts are practical in that scrolling notification window for me.
If anyone knows which files control the notification display menu, that'd be fine with me... I'll take it from there! I'm just trying to figure that out.
Thanks!
i am looking for exactly this. i know about poer management widget but i think the notification bar in miui builds is just awesome. i don't care about the rest of the skin so much. i would love to find out if there are any alternatives out there, as well.

Colored icons for system settings, battery, wlan

Most of the custom ROMs have beautiful icons for the home screen and applications but monochrome icons for Android settings, battery, wlan, etc. Can anybody suggest a theme or icon pack to flash instead of copying single icons? I have the Cromi-X 4.6.4 rom on my TF300.
The ADW EX LAUNCHER has a ton of themes and icon packs.
Also, Beautiful Widgets has a bunch of widgets for wifi, bluetooth, etc.

This is not what I mean. I am not talking about the homescreen icons or widgets. I mean, for example, the notification icons and the android system settings icons. Something like the theme butterfly Bam for my S3

Ok, I see what you mean now. I use UOT Kitchen when I want to change things like that. You can also get the images from other themes that you like, go in and manually and edit them yourself. That's about the only way those can be changed. You need to make sure they are the same size, etc. too.
Have a look here, this is a fantastic theme for the tf700 but unfortunately it is not compatible with the tf300, it bootloops the device but maybe if you ask timberwolf he might also make it compatible with the 300 or if he does not have the time and is happy for me to do so I could port it for 300 also. This would take some time though as it would require alot of images to be resized.

[Q] New to HTC

Hello, as the title states the One is my first HTC phone, I technically had the HTC One X+, but only for about 12 hours before my son accidentally dropped it down the stairs. Other than that I have had all Samsung phones. I am loving the One and its working great so far, however there are two things that I am trying to change and have had no luck so far. First off I have tried multiple ROMs but I am currently running Android Revolution 10.1 with no mods other than what comes with the ROM. The two issue I am having are
1) The stock status bar transition from the solid grey to transparent, there is a noticeable delay when exiting an application and returning to the home screen where it takes a few seconds for the status bar to change from the solid grey to the transparent of the home/lock screen, also when unlocking the phone the status bar blinks from transparent to grey and then back, I was wondering if there was a way to make this change instant, or at least make it the solid grey all the time. I have done extensive searching in both the AT&T forums and the international ones, the only threads I could find are http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2297043 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2291078 and I tried them both but with no luck, the first one just makes it black when it would normally be transparent and the second one I couldn't get to do anything. If someone could point me in the right direction here I would greatly appreciate it.
2) Is there any way to add app closing animations to a ROM? It seems with Sense when exiting an application it just closes back to the home screen with no animation at all, and that kind of kills the smoothness of the phone for me.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
try trickdroid it has a tweaks and themes package. one of the options is to choose animations

I tried that one and flashed the mods package and couldn't find the option anywhere, from what I understand from reading the forum, since v6 and the update to 4.2.2 a lot of the mods are not compatible and have been removed from the mods package until they are.

yes but themes and tweaks have been updated. idk how much has been implemented but i was running 7.0 and it had the animations
The status bar is like that because of the transparency feature, it did it on some of the aosp Roms I used on my old gs2sr. And I would like some good transitions to/from apps. I agree that it makes opening and closing apps seem smoother.

I flashed 7.0 along with the tweaks and themes packages, but my app open/close animations do not change, I have tried all the animations in the installer, but not matter what I choose the animations stay the same.
One way to get a solid notification bar is to install a 3rd party launcher like Nova/Apex/etc. That will make it solid at all times (the lockscreen will remain transparent unless you use something like Widgetlocker or holo locker), plus give you more customization options (like editing icons, text labels, animations, etc.). Seems like that's what you're looking for to answer your concerns.

Yeah that's a great suggestion, I just tried it and not only does it make the status bar solid but also adds animations to the closing of apps. Only issue I can see is none of the third party launchers allow the adding of the stock widgets yet, but I'm sure that will be sorted out in time. Thank you so much!

In the Google Store.
It is a Pay App
At least post a link then. I don't seem to be able to find it.
I would love a black theme too, at least a theme where the settings are also black (like the walkman settings). Can't find it anywhere.. Also tried modifying the stock themes but i'm a complete noob..
I recommend Existenz. You're into some heavy modding here, it's not something a little theme can do.
Not heavy modding, just change the background of the settings menu's. Seems a little bit silly, but I would really like it. Most themes are beautiful but the settings page is just so ugly. On Sony devices, this should just be a jpg or png file change in the theme apk. It won't work because I don't know where to get framework-res

Custom Notification Bar Icons Help

It might sound silly but I actually one of those guys who pay attention to small details in making my experience using this budget phone feels like extraordinary. Some icons on the notification bar are just dull like the battery icon. The looks is just not for me especially after looking the one in iPhone 11. My main goal for now is just to change that alone, but if there's an app that offers more customization for other icons, I will gladly take them. I tried googling it and found about Xposed framework. I tried downloading the apk and installed it. It says that it needs framework or something like that. I uninstalled it and go to Magisk and try to download it from there from the Modules tab. I found it and tried to install it. It gave me an error. Tried it three times. Apparently it's not going to work on Android other than from 5.0 to 8. Now I don't know where else to look since that one was the only one looking promising.
There used to be beautiful themes for POCO when it was on MIUI 10. For example I used to use one called PixPie Dark. It gave me new battery icon, lock screen animations, new navigation bar etc.
Now that we are on MIUI 11 the old themes are not compatible. And newer ones have not been made (yet) which have all the customizations.
I absolutely hate the MIUI 11 default icons. They look outdated.
Anyway here's my desktop setup.

Nice....
Does the wallpaper change as per time?
What theme is it? And what's the battery please?
Sent from my POCO F1 using Tapatalk
No, I'm sorry the wallpaper doesn't change according to time. It's just a wallpaper I selected from the MIUI gallery.
Theme is stock Poco theme with Nova Launcher Prime (Paid) and icon pack is Thin Icon Pack (Paid).

I've rooted my phone and installed custom ROM (Pixel Exp). I don't have access to MIUI theme (not that I even want to because it will not allow you to use third party theme. I wonder if there's a third party app that will allow me to change the notification bar especially the battery icon. I tried Xposed framework but it didn't work because it is not compatible with Android 8.0 above.
