Preview1 posted for ICS now - HTC EVO 3D

@preludedrew posted it in his twitter feed.
runs VERY smooth for what it is but obviously some non functional items.
so far I have found and reported:
-No wifi
-no Bluetooth
-shows low battery led AND charging at same time when plugged in, battery shows discharging in system
-no data
-live walls don't load
-gallery only shows '100MEDIA'
I didn't try a call as I have no one to call at 145am lol. Currently nanding back to Viper.
Not responsible if you screw up your phone btw, just passing along some tasty ICS info. I personally had no issue dl'ing or installing.
****FOR THOSE THAT DON'T FOLLOW HIM BUT FIND THE DL LINK****
He stated the install says droid incredible 2 but this was him just not retyping it to evo 3d. I can verify this to be true 'Evervolv-Neco-2.1.0p1-shooter.zip' is the correct zip and for cdma.

Thanks for the info
Now I just need to add him to my twitter feed!

Stuff I've noticed:
WORKING:
* Calls (Though volume's a little low in calls)
* System is very near full speed
NOT WORKING:
* Camera
* Mobile data (3G)
* other stuff noted above

Great info, thank you! We should see the HTC build finished in January....I may actually hold off for that

I don't have a Twitter account. Can someone please post a link to the page or download?

First off I tried this last night and I am impressed for such an early beta slash preview whatever the such you want to call it. But you guys really need to get a twitter account, its free and all this Dev is asking for is feed back to better this ROM. I'm excited to see where this goes I would love to have a fully functioning build of this ROM.

Yea because letting people play with a preview to help get it working so it can become a fully functional rom for ungrateful tools to flash without saying thanks couldn't possibly be helpful right ?

Lol, there is one in every bunch I guess. What a turd.

Pretty damn nice for a WIP. Mad props on it.

has anyone heard any info about the build that toast was working on a while ago? i read that he had most things working except for the camera, video playback, and hardware acceleration

sms works. Live wallpaper glitch, sound works, no data. Pretty speedy. 10% battery indicators are false.

[ROM][Sense3.5]SlideZero Beta0 [10.25.11]

Hey guys,
Thought I should share something with you all.
Here's my attempt of porting Sense 3.5 from Pico. I used Pico Hero rom from HeroGSM as a reference for porting... This is a basic port, as I really don't have time due to numerous exams and a uncooperative slide (the trackpad now refuses to work at all :|).
Without further ado, here's a list of what (doesn't) work:
What WORKS:
data
SMS
MMS?
What DOESN'T WORK (plenty):
wifi
tether
call
bluetooth
USB storage
camera
very laggy.
If there's anything else, tell me.
Honestly, I didn't want to release this half-working rom, but many of you want to see a booting version of Sense 3.5 and stuff... some of you even PM'd me and/or called me selfish for hogging a bootable version. Really? Selfish? I just didn't want to release a non-daily driver... that was slightly... disappointing.
Anyways. Tell me how this goes, and if anyone has suggestions on how to improve this rom, PM/post on this thread. This rom needs ALOT of work.
Credits to

That being said, I'm going back to being a hermit. I actually have a bunch of midterm coming up this week, so I shouldn't even be on here. so BYE!
Reserved for any possible need
Thanks for the release, hopefully someone will manage to get it to be more operational!
I'd really love to see a Sense 3.5 on the Slide
Im gonna use your kernel with team Freedom Sense okay, i got a relese keys version of the Pico rom, ill port it with your boot.img ;-)

So looks pretty much what the company uses to make sure the phone is working properly.
The Retail Diagnostics is used in Sprint's Slate test. It is used to test the primary functions of the phone and make sure PRL and profile are up to date. Fortunately it is pretty harmless at this time. There would be no point in it checking for root because Sprint M&P does not care whether you are rooted or not.
Sweet! Will check it out.
thanks a lot!

You call this an apk. Well I don't know what it is but its not an apk like I'm used too. I opened the zip looking for the apk to install it on my phone and never found it. I tried to install by flashing thru recovery and that never worked. I guess I'm a real noob but how do you install it?

[MOD] [UPDATED 8/5/12] Google Now Project For ICS - Heads Up

Not sure if many of you guys are aware of the Google Now search option but it is something similar to Siri. I have this running on Viper 4G and its working pretty well. Also I'm not to sure how often that thread gets updated so I posted the link to the Member that uploaded the flashable zip file.
All credit goes to the guys over at the main thread located below! PLEASE VISIT THE THREAD BELOW FOR THE APP / FLASHABLE FILES

40 Cool Voice Searches
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHkhp6BwnGo
Hit the thanks button if you like!
Indeed, I feel like Now is something I actually will use as when Siri came out I was like "meh". I have a Nexus 7 and I instinctively ask questions to it instead of searching by text like I normally do. The first time I did this shocked me because I never thought I would be using voice search in this streamlined fashion (not to mention how quick it is).
I know they added a pseudo-voice search for that app now and it's okay but the real thing is awesome. If you can afford to do a nandorid backup and flashing the CM10 build that can be found in the IRC channel -- do it. Just to see how fluid and fast the voice search is. Not to mention how life-like the voice is
EDIT: FORGET WHAT I SAID. Voice search is now working 100% now! Check out the video I made (if you can stand my foreign accent) of the Nexus 7 and our Evo performing side by side:
IT isnt "something similar to siri"....... it runs circles around it !
I've been using it for the last couple of days and it's pretty cool. I have my GPS/location icon hidden in Viper 4G but by looking at the battery usage on my phone, I have a feeling it may be using GPS more often than I'd like. I may have to unhide the icon and watch it. When I had GPS off, it started giving me weather for somewhere in California when I asked how the weather was
does any one known if this hack will work with the meanroom?
Im sure it will.. Just do a backup just in case.

I used the APKs previously and have now flashed the new Zip that was recently provided. Working for a couple of weeks now, flawlessly, on xHausx's deodexed ROM, which includes the latest OTA fixes, etc.
It's FAR better than Siri-us Crapware on the iFail.

I'm not DB13, but you can find the download for CM10 in IRC. It's pretty close to daily driver status for most folks, but I was having a couple of small problems that I couldn't overlook and didn't have the time to figure them out. It's certainly worth the time to flash and play around with.

Voice with the crazy workaround, right? Not native voice input.
Any ways, I was using this for a few days on the stock ROM. I ran into problem with performance and crashing issues afterwards, so I took GoogleNow back off.
It probably would work better on a non-stock/non-SenseUI ROM, but it caused issues for me!

I'm running this on the Viper4G ROM also. I was able to just flash the zip from recovery and it has been working fine. I've been able to do searches, it's been alerting me for baseball scores and giving me navigation updates when I get off of work. HTH

Same here. Voice prompts and response is great. Only issue is general web search response shows a blank card until you swipe up/down and the results then pop in. Small issue but the voice interaction is top-notched!

As soon as CM10 (or CMX) is fully functional, I'll be all over it. I've tried a couple of the builds, and it's progressing very nicely. Deck & toast are doing an amazing job with it. For me, it's pretty much a camcorder away from being a daily.
There is no on/off button for LTE like there was for WiMAX. It's always on unless you go into wireless settings and turn it off.

Am I the only one who's not a big fan of google now? It bothers me how scrolling through search results is slower than on the standard google search app (i.e. the screen doesn't continue scrolling for a bit after you take your finger off). I also find that sometimes tapping on links for sub results doesn't work...the link is highlighted briefly but the page never loads. Is anyone else having problems with that? I'm using Clean Rom at the moment but I've noticed the same things on Mean.
Is it possible to revert back to the stock google search? Is there an apk I can replace or is google now embedded in the ROM?
