Yeeahh, my mi7ROMs are a little bit different-
clean, fast and small.
The wp7 Master are aeroflyloby, ffboy, quin and ehhm, nok...

Miro, in case new apps are too big I solved it by removing dictonaries from IME and MSIME packages, you will save about 30 mbs :O
Another question: installing wp7 (apps) the phone says its low on phone memory...what is the actual size of the phone memory? And there is no way to use a recognised sd card with wp7 in our tg01s?

tg01 storage 512 MB, I think.
sure, i use a 4 GB class 4 on my wp7 tg01- it have to be class 4, i think you can use a 8 or 16 gb ........

yeah, i do it also. what i mean is the htc hub = 22 MB ....... and install time by start are to high ....... better clean. afte flash we can install all desired apps .......

yeah i have an 8gb sd card in you have to flash the rom with your sd card inserted for it to be appart of the phone tho if you get what i mean
also when you have an sd card in with wp7 rom it will only work in wp7 on your tg01 and wont work in anything else as it is formated to wp7 so it wont be read by any sd card readers.
ask some 1 like miro or aeroflybuby for more info on that and how it works
i do not want to be responsible if you make an expensive memory card usless

Ah okay, thanks for the info. Yes, when wp7 first came to market I read pretty much about the card issues...seems like only symbian can get them back for work...well, my 32gb micro sd stays in my motorola, safer there...but I will probably give it 8gig...
So sad tg01 only has resisitive touchscreen...with capazitive it would be rocking!
Still cant log into wlan. Will try this rom here tomorrow!

There is an app called SD Unlock which unlocks the card to be identified by partition managers, then you just format the card and it's working

now I try sideloading some apps and change ringtone and Unlock screen.
@mirolg, does this ROM has fix for answering sms directly or you have same sms error when answering? (that sms cant be sent cause of +381....or +XXX country numbers?)

It seems to me that you are missing some .MUI files for English. Even if you change the Regional Settings some functions remains in Chinese... But this is a good start. Keep it up. I do hope you decide to release your upcoming ROMs to our StarTrek Community here in XDA.

of cause you can update it with ruu, my phone is cingular 3125，and has 128m storage and 64 memory,it is a enhanced startrek ,specially 1100ma Battery。

i know some place still display chinese， this rom is made by ziyuan ，not me，he has ever told me how to romove chinese and make a real english rom,but i don't know how to start ,it is beyond me ,zi yuan used to make new chinese rom for us in (www.ioicn.com.cn), he is a good guys .

The only way you could modify the Language of the ROM is if you could get your hands on the kitchen itself... But all in all it is quite a functional ROM... Keep it up.

Just place the .NBH file along with any RUU. It would be better if you could get the automated ones. You can use the one from my ROM. Just replace the .NBH file with the one provided here.

WM6.5 on Star Trek looks amazing and feels like a respawn of that device. However i wanna wait til a clean english version is possible and out. Ill come back from time to time to check this. Please keep up your nice work!

Update I:
Tried flashing this ROM using the MicroSD card method but got Invalid Certificate warning.
Should I use the RUU for StarTrek to get past this error?
How did the rest of you perform this ROM flashing?

Update II:
I used Erofich's ROM update package & managed to flash this ROM successfully. I swopped the STARIMG.nbh from the temporary RUU unpacked folder for this (renamed STARIMG.nbh) ROM & it flashed it without problems. Now the phone is up & running.

Already done. MicroSD card method will not work with non-Official ROMs.
Erofich's ROM package does the trick neatly.

OmapClock trick
Im using this rom and its actually pretty good. There are a few gripes where applications (specifically for me - Media Player & Comm Manager) are in Kanji or equivalent but all in all its fast and the updates to WinMo are good. I especially like the new standard Homescreen. The only thing I have problems with is that the bluetooth etc settings are in kanji... and this would be a problem for someone who doesnt have another WinMo handset to hand to understand what menu option controls what...
I have also found an interesting trick with Tornado Power Control using this rom that should be repeatable on any startrek rom...
My phone would run at 252mhz stable when I overclocked it using TPC & OmapClock - but at the 264 setting would lock up instantly and be useless until reboot...
TPC uses a remote procedure call called Power_on.lnk to clock the phone above its 228mhz limit using OmapClock - and this basically is a lnk file that calls Omap and sets its speed...
Now, here is the trick. I dont know why but the setting within omapclock and the setting using the link file is independant. Where a phone will lock up on a speed setting within Omapclock - it doesnt necessarily follow that the phone will do the same when the same setting is set from the *.lnk file.
What you need to do therefore is edit the *.lnk file clock setting incrementally until you reach the highest stable clock speed... ie make increments until you reach a speed where the phone locks up and needs rebooting - then back off one setting. I did this and then set the *.lnk file for TPC into my startup group which calls TPC which then calls power_on.lnk > omapclock at XXXmhz
Normally the Startrk runs at 180mhz which is fine for what the phone would have been used for in the days when it was introduced... but not so hot now when phones are used for things such as MP4 playback etc..
Using the method above I have managed to clock my handset to 263mhz at which point it is completely stable.
Using SKTools lite benchmarks....
@ 263Mhz
Integer : 142.6 Moves/25
Floating point : 3.485 MWIPS
@ 180Mhz
Integer : 102.6 Moves/25
Floating Point : 2.485 MWIPS
As you can see there is a substantial difference between the two. At the higher speed the handset is now able to run MP4s full screen in Media Player that are fully watchable - although there is some movement flare (I think this may be to do with the screen itself more than anything)...
The increase in processor speed also feeds into memory access times - and it would seem that in this case the Startrk is already a quick design - since overclocked its memory times are on a par with machines running 300mhz+ clockspeeds..

Hi searcher, im a little bit disappointed with your rom. since your previous rom i couldn't make it work on my atom. tried to install it but after installing the extrom it goes black screen and nothing happen. I need to remove battery, press camera and put back the battery again to access bootloader and install my previous rom using DSUU, thats the time I could use my dead atom after installing your rom.
This is not the first time i encountered this problem, i've been trying to install it for how many time but still failed. Your previous rom is also giving same result.
Would you mind release an installation method not using SD but using DSUU, might be that work.
i'll try upload in singhle file.... searcher oplease 1 file next time pls! i like ur rom! just want it to be cleaner ok?

DSUU? I want to release it with DSUU, but I can't added 12byte header because I haven't any utilities to add it

well after 36hrs of use, i find it very stable and it never crashed so far. battery looks good, i tried it for around 52 mins of continous call . and it is fast and responsive.
however, there's few minor bug/s (tolerable for me ): Can't remove the "getting started" in the default home screen, some MP3's were skipping to the next song after a few seconds of playing (via WM player or at the default home screen) but afterwards it is ok now.
Overall this is an excellent rom. kudos

well after 36hrs of use, i find it very stable and it never crashed so far. battery looks good, i tried it for around 52 mins of continous call . and it is fast and responsive.
however, there's few minor bug/s (tolerable for me ): Can't remove the "getting started" in the default home screen, some MP3's were skipping to the next song after a few seconds of playing (via WM player or at the default home screen) but afterwards it is ok now.
Overall this is an excellent rom. kudos

Confirms that sms works like a charm. You don's need to set anything after flashing. In case you cannot send or receive sms, go to setting/application/messaging/ and set the SMS center number blank.
One weird issue is the charging problem. 1) when the battery is critically low, the phone is not chargeble by usb via a pc, it only works with transformer charging; 2) the phone will be turned on automatically during charging.
Still waiting for the camera, usb headphone, audio/video threading to work> otherwise it is perfect!

and that's the sms problem! It's why sms can't be sent when they are saved in +49 xxx xxxxxx format (with country number). I think, it's the easiest problem to solve. has anybody a solution?

hi my friend and tnx to visit your "old" homeland! Yeeah, tg01 is so a beautiful, powerful device- but it neeed the right heart to rise up! wp7 is THE os for this device- the most user forget: we get soooooooo much on new, cool and fast features and have ONLY 2-3 driver issues. as a main phone is the tg01 to old and has a to small battery- but hey as a second device is much more worth ........

the main difference is, final relase has my signed certificate to get working with cab sender tool. cab's for coming updates, custom cabs, fix cabs and skin cabs + few pteinstalled apps. read the description 1st Post.

first, thanks for your ROM.
tested for few days and the first thing is the boot up picture was scared me= =(I flash it at 4:00am)
the ROM was faster than before, and more not heat up (for me that was being heat when i using Wi-Fi)

It is multilanguage, but unable to confirm all characters display. I've seen issues reported for other ROMs.
BTW, this has the default font that all other stock ROMs have.

This means it doesn't have WP7.8 fonts issue. All fonts are clear and no weird spacing after J etc. As far as English goes. Don't know about all other languages. But don't see how it might be an issue.

The good thing is you can backup your new SMS and game saves after going full-unlock.

Don't have that calendar issue. Is it Windows Live calendar? I've seen this being mentioned at a few places before too.

BTW: Just to point out, the TellMe is working charmingly if the language is selected as English US even after the ROM is installed and set up. Reboot phone after changing language and TellMe is spot on!

Works with my windows live calendar. I also have an exchange calendar and it shows. Try opening the calendar, open settings and toggle your calendar off and on. See if that helps at all.

Unfortunately it does not have the xbox logo on the live tile.

I finally found where these logos live. It's not really a Chinese games hub, but what Microsoft calls the generic games hub logo. I am testing a new version of the ROM with these modifications.

Still it's not showing next day events on mine. (Like 7.5 does.)

Thanks for looking into it, its just that the logo is the one they're using in China for chinese windows phones. It does show the new dark green tile with xbox live logo at first, but after it syncs with your microsoft account it changes to the spades icon. I'm also willing to pay 10 bux if the writing in about section that says "firmware compiled by" is removed. That is all.
