can i get this rogers evo 3d working on bell? unlock... - HTC EVO 3D

Can I use this phone on bell network. I have rooted and have s-off. Am I missing some step? I get network locked when I put the bell sim in. And it asks for a pin. Do I have to use a custom rom?

RELOCKED bootloader

Hello
I made on your phone with hboot 1.49.00018 downgrade through HTCdev
I then made through the revolutionary S-OFF
I then recorded the RUU and choose FastBoot oem writesecureflag 3 gave the phone to the state S-ON
but on my screen instead LOCKED light RELOCKED
how to achieve it again to be on display LOCKED??
Not possible to change this again. Wrong section by the way...

IF U Unlock it. then relock it.it will change to Relocked....no way to get it to Locked @NOW
I may have a way if your prepared to try it as something strange happened to mine using HTC supertool

Don't know if it'll work across carriers, but I used revolutionary for s-off and bootloader unlock then renamed and flashed a zip from one of these threads. Bootloader changed back to locked, didn't say relocked.

In theory, could he use rev, to unlock again then relock via pb**img.zip? (Cant remember) to get the bootloader back to locked?

I agree..
But anyway, back on topic.
The phone came LOCKED.
once you Unlock it, you can only RELOCK it.
There's no way to completely lock it again unless you use a goofy method or you send it back to HTC for a complete flash.
I would love to know what that goofy method is so my insurance claims don't get denied.

Insurance can't get denied because of it. However, warranty can be denied but the chances of Sprint actually checking on this are very slim.
Basically, send it to Sprint for warranty if it isn't an actual insurance claim.

what he said. you're not going to have any problems by having s off. by putting s on, all you are going to end up doing is shooting yourself in the foot if you want to change it later
I apriciate your advices. But would like to know how to do it, if i ever need to do it. Also i can always s-off later back right? I'm new to Evo 3D so want to know my options...

ill trade you and s-on fone
I am pretty sure if you s-on and you upgrade to the hboot 1.5 you are screwed. I have 1.5 and there is no way for me to get s-off. I would just stay s-off dude. you are going to screw yourself.
If your phone shipped s-off then you shouldn't have any problems, even if you have to take your phone into Sprint for repair.
If you're on 1.50 there's no way to get S-OFF at this time. But if you REALLY wanted to I guess you could just flash the current RUU to revert to S-ON.
My phone was shiped s-off. Thought it was strange, but if there is now problem about it then i'll leave it like it was...

How to operator unlock the flyer 3g

So I traided my sensation for the flyer, couldn't be happier (except the fact it has HC on it already but I am coping with that)
Anyway, the device is S-on and uprooted and operator locked.
How do I remove the operator lock (on my own, without paying)

Somebody needs to know!

Operator
Firstly, whose your operator? Geneally, the Flyer 3G is not sold with operator lock.
T-Mobile, when I insert a vodafone sim card it asks for a network pin..
Yeah, there is no T-Mobile logo on it or on the startup screen, odd..
Sent from my HTC Flyer P510e using XDA Premium App
Are you S-on or S-off ? Gingerbread or Honeycomb radio/hboot/. Is your flyer WWE/Brightstar/US
If you can post a screenshot of your SIM pin prompt, it would help.
Also, it maybe that's your Vodafone SIM thats locked. Try with another SIM if possible. Go into HBOOT(volume down + power button when Flyer is off) and check your sim lock status using your Vodafone sim and the T-Mobile sim.
Report back and I'll see if I can help.

Ok, I got your problem. HTC is infact selling the T-Mobile version of the flyer with operator lock and a T-mobile logo on the top right corner if I'm correct.
The only way till now is to buy a unlock code from the websites like gsm mobility or htcunlockcode.com , who provide you with unlock codes for as low as $12 based on your IMEI.
Some guys at the DHD / Desire S forums made an unlock tool which removed operator lock, if someone could port that, it would help.
The main problem now is that very few Flyer owners/developers have the operator locked T-Mobile flyer. I could give porting a try, but wouldn't be able to test it.

I thought the carriers had to release the lock code to you if you asked for it. Call them and ask for either the SIM lock or the MSL key. As long as you don't try to dodge the ETF, they don't erally have a legit reason to deny you that information.
Barring that, I think you can get around this once you are rooted.

Well, I can see you have the same Hboot version as I have on my Flyer. From that I can say that at the moment it seems not possible to get your device S-OFF'ed. But you can get it unlocked at htcdev.com and from that point flash a costum rom (from XDA) and maybe that network thingy will disappear...
My thoughts on your request.
To be simple - it's not possible to remove sim pin or operator lock just by rooting. You need radio s-off for that.

are you still willing to do this? i assume youre refering to gfree? i have a t mobile fller,am comfortable with adb/fastboot and would be happy to test. if we can find an exploitable radio, might it give radio s-off as well? im mainly interested in subsidy unlock, superCID(althoug im not sure the flyer is subsidy locked in the first place),but radio s-off would be a sweet bonus!

I'm not that familiar with the Evo V, but you might want to check the sticky threads in this forum.
Good luck!
P.S. Questions are supposed to be posted in the Q&A forum.

Choosing all supported devices will work fine.
The Evo V is essentially the Evo 3D CDMA.
There's only a few slight differences..
It shouldn't brick the phone, as long as you DO NOT flash a GSM file on it.

You can seriously choose any device & get your unlock token.
The only reason it asks you to choose the device is because a few devices need to update the bootloader before unlock.
The pages & the process is the same for all devices.
It doesn't matter what phone you choose.
You will not get an unlock token unless the phone meets all requirements anyway.
The identifier token is used to identify your device & it's type, so, the unlock token you get will be the perfect one needed to unlock your device.
So, just choose all supported devices & go ahead.

HTCdev Unlock Bootloader question

I used the Unlock Bootloader on my Evo 3D CDMA Sprint process completes 'successfully' but fastboot screen says unlocked & S-ON. I have version 1.58.0000 on ICS 4.03. Isn't this process supposed to give me S-OFF as well?
No, you need to do the wire trick for s off
