1 Grey 32GB Transformer Prime in Wilkes Barre, PA Best Buy! - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Ah, I'm so thrilled! I was about to drive 100+ miles after work today to pick up a Prime at the Wilkes Barre, PA Best Buy. Just so happened that a customer brough his 32GB Grey Transformer Prime into my store today to swap for an iPad for his wife! Brand new, unopened! So excited
Anyway, there is 1 32GB left in the Wilkes Barre, PA store if anyone is interested. SKU 4038674, price $499.99. Phone #: 570.819.0719 - no need to mention you saw this on XDA

viper! glad to see you on here. you officially now have (and hopefully will support) all three of my android devices: epic touch 4g, evo view 4g, and transformer prime!
Glad to see you here and hope to see some dev work coming from you once this tab gets off the ground a bit more.

Xoom Family on sale @ Bestbuy I think its $349
I'd love to get a tablet with Qualcomm's new chips more than anything. Likely holding out here till next yr and get one with it and enjoy lte modem built on the die of the chip and great battery life savings because of such.
If I had to get one now it'd be the prime more likely if cost didn't matter.
Though if cost didn't matter id shell out for Qualcomm's developer tablet that's supposed to.be available in the early spring finally.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and a Motorola Xoom
Both very very similar though i must say I like the Galaxy Tab 10.1 more. The Xoom just cam down in price since the Xoom 2 is about to be releases, so maybe u can get a bargain...
If $ is not an issue, prime. I got my wife a kindle fire and for a basic tab it's great for $199

I know this gets said often, but I would wait until March/April if you can. The main reason is that the iPad 3 should be released and there will probably be a few quad-core Android tablets. So even if you would be happy with a Tegra 2 tablet, those devices will drive the price down on the older models. However, if you don't care and you just want something NOW, then I would get the Prime. Biggest bang for the buck in that it costs $100 less than a comparable iPad 2 and most of the other Tegra 2 tablets out there. (I always laugh when people say it costs the same, but they compare a 32gb Prime against a 16gb whatever)
That's the tablet I'm buying, i can't wait to have my prime

Well, if you want the 7" form factor with stylus support, a Flyer at $299 isn't half bad. From what I understand the handwriting recognition is better than the Lenovo Thinkpad tablet which is more expensive and there aren't really many other games in town to support a stylus like that. So....sure, it's a valid recommendation for a specific audience.
Lately I have seen the Flyer going from $220-$250 at a lot of these Deal A Day/Slickdeal type of sites. Ebay even had a daily special last week for that price, for the Sprint Evo Tablet, no contract required.
Flyer - great for people that take lots of notes ( students?)
Xoom - This is what I have and i haven't had any issues with it. Just that its a bit on the heavy side
Galaxy Tab - Pretty much same as the xoom just that it doesn't have an expansion slot and its much lighter in weight
Prime - This thing is a beast!!
Im biased but for the price and spec's you can't beat the HP Touchpad.
Android or Webos, whichever one you want to run, plus top of the line specs for a dual core tablet. I love it.
Just get this

The Sony tablet s is great if you aren't planning on rooting it. It is by far the best dual core tablet.

Thinking of returning Prime and getting a TF101...

So I received my Transformer Prime today and am having wifi issues (very poor connection strength). Also, I have a group of very bright pixels on the screen.
I know there is a new Transformer tablet in the works that has significantly better specs...so I'd be best to wait. In the meantime, I found a mint TF101 with docking keyboard for $350. Everything checks out and it seems like a great package for the price. This coupled with ICS arriving in two weeks for the TF101 makes it a reasonable decision to return the defective Prime and get this original TF101 w/keyboard.
Is this a good move? I've never owned the original Transformer and hope that it is plenty fast to play flash content. Anyone care to offer a POV on this decision?
I plan on getting the newer Transformer in Q2 when it's rumored to release.
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using xda premium
I have both and the OG TP is pretty damn laggy even with a 1.65 OC.
That + the random reboots and freezes makes in a no go for me.
I did it and am happy with my decision. Wifi is crazy strong and the device is plenty fast.
Wake me up when the new Transformer is released. The Prime isn't ready for prime time IMO.

I returned mine for a galaxy tab 10.1 and I'm telling u it is amazing running roman from team kangs build of ICS not even over locked it is awesome

Where to buy prime in a local store in NJ

After reading a bunch of reviews on the transformer prime im looking to buy one at a store around my area. Mainly im looking for c3 batch and so that if theres any problem with the unit i can easily exchange it. I tried bestbuy but theyre all out of stock. They wont give any info on when theyre going to have new stocks. Heard about rumors that they wont be selling primes anymore for different kinds of reason. Dont know if any of this is true but i dont want to be left waiting for nothing. If anyone would be kind enough to point me in the right direction i will gladly appreciate it. Thank you.

Thanks for the help. They aswell are out of stock. Found out about acer iconia a510 and im loving the reviews ive been reading. I will buy this instead. This lack of stocks for the prime is prolly one of those blessings in disguise!

Check Gamestop's website. You can take a look at the stock at different local stores.
I picked up one from the Woodbridge Center Gamestop about a week and a half ago. It was a C2, though. And also be aware that I don't think you can straight-up return it for a refund if you don't like it. You can only get a replacement if it's defective, I believe. Has some decent games preinstalled, though.
Good luck.

Did you check Microcenter I picked up my second one at the Paterson location. We are also in delivery range of B & H photo. If you did have to return it you could do it in person at the Manhattan brick and mortar location. Got my first one from them.

I bid you farewell

Well, my touchpad got sold and i'm hopefully jumping ship to the nexus 7. Good luck for development here and hope you all get somewhere.
pS: see ya suckerz =P
i'm hoping to sell one of my touchpads since i can still use my gf's.
nexus 7 should be here soon!
i've seen a few of the touchpad guys over in the nexus 7 forums
Sad to see you leave, I recently sold my A100 because of using the Touchpad so much much more!
I'll be getting a Nexus 7 soon but, I'll be keeping my Touchpad , I only paid £150 for it so, if I end up letting it gather dust then the missus can have it ha ha
Can I ask how much you got for it? Thinking of selling one of my three touchpads for the nexus. *ducks*

well i got the same price what i paid for ...so no profit...but more importantly didn't make a loss
Adios.
I have my TouchPad dual booting webOS and CM9. Oddly enough, I find myself using webOS almost exclusively. I think it's because of the weird aspect ratio of the display. webOS looks great, but very few ICS tablet apps look right.
I hope to eventually pick up something like an Acer Iconia Tab A700, but even then I'll keep the TouchPad around for my kids.

i see touchpads (32gb) in nyc going for $150-200 in near mint condition, which is quite a dip from what they've been at for a while.

I've got a 7" Nook Color I've rooted and run CM7 on. There is a huge difference between the 7" and the 10" TouchPad depending on what you use it for... I'd hang onto the TouchPad until you get the Nexus, you may realize you'd like to have both sizes available.

Just ordered a Prime

Hi all,
Just thought I'd come and introduce myself to this part of the forum
I just ordered a prime... I currently have a good old trusty Motorola Xoom which was starting to get to me because of the weight and thickness.
I was going to go for an Infinity but it's out of my price range. Looking forward to getting my hands on the Prime and rooting it... currently have my Xoom rooted and running EOS jelly bean.
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 2
If infinite is out of price range. The I would recommend the tf300 instead.

What? why? you just shot yourself in the foot. People are selling and exchanging primes left and right. Be prepared to spend good chunk of time on troubleshooting. Best of luck and hope u have a functional unit (if such a prime exists)
I just bought one over a week ago and think its great. $399 new at office depot Dock is $99 (in store only)
Apparently my happiness i abnormal?! Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the tfp section! I hope you enjoy your prime as i have mine. Don't get twisted over all the negative stuff here. there are some people that seem to have issues but there are many that are very happy with it. Zero problems for me. I hope your experience is as good as mine.
Yeah people are ridiculously negative on here. Haven't had it long, but have had zero problems. Love it so far
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using xda premium
Maybe people are negative because they are fed up with all the issues with a $500 device. Maybe the new ones are better since asus had us (the early users) to beta test it for 10 months.

I thought the Prime was slightly better than the TF300, brighter screen better clocking speeds? I've read some negative things about it but also some good things... now I am really stuck and unsure which one to get
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 2
Well I've cancelled my order, going to take a trip to town today and have another look at both.

There were some bad apples, i have my prime since January 2012 and i've been very satisfied ever since i got it. And now with JellyBean its totally awesome.
I love my prime, had to go through 5 before I got a good one. Mainly screen issues but I love it!
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium
Welcome aboard. Try and ignore all the negative comments. It's the same with any device - you only hear the people that have issues because most that have no issues don't seek out forums for help. I have had one or two problems but for me the good outweighed the bad and now with JB the Prime is even better. I would have my Prime with keyboard dock over any other tablet out there as it looks and feels great and does everything I want it to do and more.
When you get yours, set up your gmail and wireless, check for and download the update and let the Prime do it's thing, then do a reset so the system is fresh and then install you apps and enjoy. Hopefully you will have a good experience and enjoy your Prime as much as many others do
