Any way to make a stock rooted PC86IMG? It would save me a ton of time if I ever have to wipe super clean if I screw something up.

I second this... Maybe there is one floating around in another thread somewhere.

For what version ? and why just curious

Well it'd be nice to be able to basically RUU the phone back to fully stock without using a pc (mine is broken currently). I have the Eng hboot and s-off so it'd be nice to have one of the original RUUs before hboot 1.5. I've recently been having issues with any recovery I run and feel like a fresh start from scratch would help a lot.

Good stuff, glad this sticky was created. I remember there being a stock one with Beats added and HotSpot unlocked. Does anyone know where that one is?

Yeah, I've seen this one, but it's not quite it. The one I'm talking about is a completely UNTOUCHED ROM (even the boot screen is stock), and only has the Sprint HotSpot unlocked and Beats included. I may be wrong, but I could've sworn I ran this ROM for a couple months. I unfortunately deleted the zip file, before I realized I couldn't find it anymore. Any of the Devs out there interested in creating this?

I think smokin1337 put up a zip to unlock hotspot and add beats to a stock deodex rom, should be on the 2nd or 3rd page.

Idea In Development-Installing our kernels from recovery :)

This new app for sensation/e3d etc. got me thinking. It is for devices that have S-ON but are unlocked. I believe I can fix all of our boot image installing woes with the process this app outlined. Once I finish my physics homework, I am going to get some scripts cooking and I think we can have roms install the boot images from recovery.

What I don't get is why the devs can't just agree en masse which mainver they're going to use, and then everyone uses that version.
Well they shouldn't use one higher than the RUUs we have so we can restore if necessary. I have had to RUU before because I corrupted my cache partition once.
But some devs used the ICS leak mainver and some people were idiots and installed the leak before it was ready and got their mainvers higher than what we have RUUs for.

That's one of the reasons I wait a day or so to flash a new ROM if it just getting released. I always wait to see what the problems are first.
I just check it first and replace the android-info as needed. I am still on the 1.x mainver because I am careful and I was one of the first to flash the ICS leaks

I didn't know about the entire mainver thing until the leak came out. I'm new to HTC phones and stuff. But I'm on the 2.x mainver just because I forgot to change it the other day when I was in a flash frenzy. Oh well

This will be great once you get it running.
I'm curious what the reason is that you want to remain on 1.x when the official update brought the phone to 2.x? I'm on 2.x but running a ROM from 1.x even though they just came out with an update for 2.x because I want to keep the red theme made for it.
Btw... the dsb kernel was installed in recovery, like the AnthraX one is. Flashed a zip in recovery that made the PHzip that flashed as an update. Is this different than that?
I haven't flashed the new radios and stuff.

It isn't that crazy or that dangerous. I have flashed my misc a few times when I was seeing if I could hex edit the CID to HTC__001 instead of VZW__001 which would have allowed HTC dev unlock before we got their blessing.

[RUU] Android 4.0.3 - Build 1.12.651.2

I'm surprised no one has already posted this here on XDA. Here is the link to the shipped-roms upload of the leaked RUU labeled
Code:
RUU_JEWEL_CL_ICS_40_Sprint_WWE_1.12.651.2_Radio_1.02.11.0423_2_NV_SPCS_2.28_003_release_257970_signed2.exe
which was determined to be for the EVO 4G LTE based on hints in the build.prop and other places.
You can get it HERE.
NOTE: This has NOT been tested on a device yet, considering it's not really out yet, so don't run this right away on you new phone on Friday before we investigate it more.
Just took a look at this. shows HBOOT hboot_1.12.0000_signedbyaa.nb0. so lets hope this hboot gets revolutionized by the alpharevx team

Well, I just added the su, Superuser.apk, and busybox binaries to the extracted rom and built a new boot.img. That doesn't have anything to do with rooting the device... however, these days "rooting" a device isn't very difficult.

Unfortunately, this RUU won't be the final RUU. The system dump I have is 1.13.651.1, and it does look pretty close to done. But I wouldn't be surprised if there is another update before launch.

Something of interest,
The 1.13.651.1 RUU contains (in the rom.zip file) hboot_1.13.0000_signedbyaa.nb0 .
While 1.12.651.2 contains hboot_1.12.0000_signedbyaa.nb0
OTOH, a pic posted earlier with an ENG bootloader had version 1.04.2000
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12623902/ANDROID/IMG_20120510_220841.jpg
So... Perhaps part of the process will be to downgrade first...

Um, that pic is of an EVO 3D .
Those two RUUs are the only ones I've seen for the Jewel so far.
^^Good catch. I came across that in one of the evo lte threads, but didn't pay very close attention. I thought it was from one of the prerelease/demo phones. Disregard
yep, that's a shooter (evo 3d) as versions 1.04.2000 and 1.30.2000 are the two hboots that have been pictured on it
im guessing it shouldnt be that hard to root since bootloader can be unlocked thru HTC DEV

[ROM][STOCK] --- Stock Rooted 1.22.651.3 Odexed & DeOdexed (8/27/12)---

This latest update is 4.0.3 and has some nice fixes in for wallet (finally) and a few other things. For a more detailed list of changes and links to the OTA file check out joeykrim's thread here.
I've updated the ROM zip to fix the Wiper App force closes and a few other things that I had found. If you were one who got the force close after flashing the smaller fix below is all you should need to correct it. If you are just now downloading the ROM it's built in so the fix is not needed.

You need TWRP to fix your problem so whatever you do, don't remove if before you are up and running. It won't hurt you to keep it on your phone though.

I'm not sure on this phone, but over at our team site XsMagical has some sort of one click thing that does it. It wipes everything clean and you start over.

You can't at the moment. Normally, you just flash the stock recovery or flash an RUU. However, that isn't available.
ATT RUU
here's the AT&T RUU. thank football

He or whoever makes one gets my donation! Can only imagine a system optimized bloatware free rom for the ATT version! The factory rom is already blazing fast and already deleted all bloatware with rom toolkit! Can only imagine.....

If he has AT&T files, i wonder if hes considering making a Maximus+ Rom for the ATT HOX+ last i saw he said he wasnt sure about it. Now my hopes are up...
I seem to bit a bit confused. I thought the RUU was basically the stom rom image, which ive been told is wrong. can anyone clear up what exactly the RUU is? (total noob question im sure)
It's more then just a stock Rom it's the recovery and everything else including radio hboot ect.

Don't do it, you might loose root and mess up your phone. Just wait til the devs incorporate the update to a flashable zip. Never accept any OTA from Sprint/HTC if your are rooted, EVER.
wait!! dont do it!! i did and it borked the screen from working.. i flashed the full firmwear update that captain_throwback mad and it borked my screen a few people did and same ishh happen to them.. i had to flash a decrypted 3.15 ruu remane to PJ75IMG and flash in bootloader.. not fun.. then had to flash a recovery then rom
Yep. Just going to wait for the full rooted rom to hit the developers forum. It should be there any minute now.
Jokes on y'all. I'm not rooted.

What the hell is wrong with you people? Flashing OTAs to custom ROMs?? They OTAs contain patch files, and of course it isn't gonna patch right, ESPECIALLY on a deodex'd ROM. I can't believe that people are still doing this (especially flashing over a non-Sense build - that takes the cake!) Use a little bit of common sense, people...

He's referring to updating his firmware/radio while on aosp from a package put together from a well known contributor. Far from being ignorant.
