[ROM][STOCK] --- Stock Rooted 1.22.651.3 Odexed & DeOdexed (8/27/12)--- - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

This latest update is 4.0.3 and has some nice fixes in for wallet (finally) and a few other things. For a more detailed list of changes and links to the OTA file check out joeykrim's thread here.
I've updated the ROM zip to fix the Wiper App force closes and a few other things that I had found. If you were one who got the force close after flashing the smaller fix below is all you should need to correct it. If you are just now downloading the ROM it's built in so the fix is not needed.
As always make sure you do a nandroid first!

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this while "original" crap. Now how is this original. I feel as this should just be in the regular development.
So basically if you are the first to make anything it goes in "original".
But I do appreciate this just trying to understand this whole dis-organization going on

Had the same issue trying to create a stock 1.13 rom from the ruu. Vipers stock 1.13 just doesn't even include wiper.apk and is missing a couple libs. I think the issue has to do with them and/or their permissions.

As others have asked, what is the proper method of actually installing this? Is this a recovery flash, or something done from the bootloader, or something else?

Do to the way they update now you may get a couple messages upon reboot complaining that "Wiper App" has stopped, if so just hit ok or cancel out of it and you should be good to go. Check back often as I'll be updating this often as I go through it more.

I'm not an expert but this is a ROM which you should be able to install with a custom recovery. clockwork or TWRP

I can't thank you enough. :highfive: My device was root/S-OFF Lazypanda 1.13, and I just installed you zip on top of it and it worked perfectly!
Also seemed to enable 4G where I am at!
Side note: Anyone think I can just "freeze" Wiper to prevent these errors?
What is HTC Wiper?

Sexy... Thanks xHausx! Saving us all some trouble.

[ROM] --- Stock Rooted 2.08.651.2 Odexed & De-Odexed (10/2/11) ---

Thanks to HTC we now have 2.3.4! This is the latest OTA update being pushed, the only things I have done to it is root and added busybox. If you are already using a stock ROM these can be flashed with only a Dalvik wipe. If you aren't sure what to use I am currently using the Odexed update zip, the Radio & PRI updates and the RPM update. The odexed ROM can be skipped if you are just wanting the Radio updates. Instructions on how to flash everything and what the difference between an Update and Firmware are can be found on Post #3.
If you're not sure how to flash this Disturb3d1 has made a great video showing how to update.
Update Zips
These must be flashed through the Recovery.
Note About Mods: Since this update is Android 2.3.4, while the old one was 2.3.3, all of the framework mods will need to be remade for this version. Using any of the old ones will cause issues and could make the ROM unstable.

Rmk40 from the Sensation side has a thread containing info about the different partitions here. At the moment it looks like the radio, rcdata and RPM partitions are the only ones of use to us, but you should be fine if you decide to update everything else as well. Also, if you need an easy way to check MD5 sums you can find a windoze tool for it here(Thx riggsAndroid!).

OK, no takers so I'll answer myself. Not my first rodeo as I about wore out my power and down buttons installing Deck ROM's on my Evo 4G. I took a closer look at the files in the OP and it became clearer since I've done this sort of thing many times. So... for anyone on stock rooted OTA who wants to just update, here's what I did. Note these instructions are for TWRP recovery. Works, s-off and root confirmed after the update:
(1) Download Shooter_2.08.651.2_odexed_rooted-signed.zip and PG86IMG_2.08.651.2_firmware_nohboot.zip from OP.
(2) Put Shooter_2.08.651.2_odexed_rooted-signed.zip on the SD card root.
(3) Power down. Pull battery if you run fastboot.
(4) Hold power and down volume to enter bootloader.
(5) Select "Recovery" and then go to the "Wipe" menu and wipe the Dalvik Cache.
(6) Back to the main Recovery menu and choose the option to install a ZIP.
(6) Select Shooter_2.08.651.2_odexed_rooted-signed.zip from the list of files and then confirm.
(7) BE PATIENT. It's a big file and you could see nothing happen for a few minutes.
(8) Process should eventually complete. You can go back in the recovery menu and reboot. Once successfully rebooted, if you want to update the radios, PRI, etc., continue below.
(9) To update the radios, PRI, etc., rename PG86IMG_2.08.651.2_firmware_nohboot.zip to PG86IMG.zip and put it on the root of the SD card.
(10) Once again, use power and volume down to boot to the bootloader. This time, it should find PG86IMG.zip automatically and will prompt you to update. Say yes and let it go.
(11) When the update is complete, choose the option to reboot.
(12) Remember to remove the PG86IMG.zip file from the root.

I second this... Maybe there is one floating around in another thread somewhere.
For what version ? and why just curious
Well it'd be nice to be able to basically RUU the phone back to fully stock without using a pc (mine is broken currently). I have the Eng hboot and s-off so it'd be nice to have one of the original RUUs before hboot 1.5. I've recently been having issues with any recovery I run and feel like a fresh start from scratch would help a lot.

Yeah, I've seen this one, but it's not quite it. The one I'm talking about is a completely UNTOUCHED ROM (even the boot screen is stock), and only has the Sprint HotSpot unlocked and Beats included. I may be wrong, but I could've sworn I ran this ROM for a couple months. I unfortunately deleted the zip file, before I realized I couldn't find it anymore. Any of the Devs out there interested in creating this?

Total n00b question: If I install this over my stock rooted odexed 1.13 version, will it update like an OTA, or will it wipe everything like switching between roms?

I'll wipe just like switching roms.
Does anyone think that our remap of the buttons is better than htc's since I can't get the menu pop up on the homescreens with htc's way?
I don't think we will be able to install the wallet and shopper back in I've been having issues since the latest 1.22 rom I can't install fb app at all because it's missing the system application so ill wait until they make it full with those apps including

It blocks wifi, use it for educational purposes only and not to piss off your friends, co-workers, etc!

You have to flash the boot.img through fastboot for it to boot if you're on the 1.15 HBOOT with S-ON (there are also other methods, but that's the most basic one everyone should learn).
This is my daily driver. Thanks!
I took the latest latest OTA to 2.13 and then HTCDev unlocked so I'm S-ON but rooted with TWRP 2.2... Should I have any issues with this?... Wiping data is not an issue since I just did the HTCDev method last night... I'm contemplating ROMs since I'm now bone stock and haven't rebuilt my apps list
Running super smooth so far and look at all this free ram

If you took the OTA, then you really have no need of this ROM. Just flash the SuperSU zip in recovery and you're rooted and ready to go.

[STOCK][OTA] 3.15.651.16 - Jellybean Firmware and Stock Rooted ROM

Since there is a lot of confusion about the firmware zips I wanted to give everyone a quick run down about what they are and how they can be used.
Telling Firmware and Update Zips Apart
HTC uses two main types of zip files for their updates. Update zips are the ones most people are familiar with and can be flashed from a custom recovery, while Firmware zips are used for lower level flashing like radios/baseband or bootloader updates. An easy way to tell them apart is by looking at the name, most firmware zips will start with the devices designation such as PJ75IMG. If you open them up you'll also notice firmware zips only contain a handful of large files while update zips contain file folders and their content normally.

Flashing Firmware Zips (If your device is S-ON skip to the next section)
There are three ways you can flash firmware zips:
The first is to rename the file to 'PJ75IMG.zip' (careful not to add zip twice if extensions are hidden), placing it in the root directory of the sd card and then to restart the phone while holding volume down. This brings up the bootloader which will automatically look for the file and try to flash it. Once it completes be sure to rename the file so the phone doesn't keep trying to reflash it.
.
The second way is by command through the recovery. On a S-OFF device, and a handful of HTC Dev unlocked devices, an update zip can pass along a firmware zip to the bootloader and have it flashed once the phone is rebooted. This is how normal updates are installed, however, without S-OFF the bootloader will only accept the request if the firmware zip is from HTC and has not been modified.
.
The third way, using fastboot, is my preferred method and usually the quickest. Simply place the the firmware zip in the folder with fastboot and use fastboot as follows
Code:
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip PJ75IMG.zip
fastboot reboot
As long as you point it towards a valid file fastboot is not picky about the naming.

Updating Firmware and S-ON/S-OFF
All RUUs and OTAs use firmware zips that have been signed with a special key from HTC. This allows the device to know if it's been modified.
When a device is S-OFF it ignores this key and allows you to flash any valid firmware zip, but S-ON devices will only accept them when the bootloader is relocked and if the firmware zip has not modified in any way.
Since firmware updates almost always contain hBoot (bootloader) upgrades to prevent people gaining S-OFF I don't recommend ever updating the firmware on a S-ON device.

Thanks to the good people at HTC we now have some new Jelly Bean goodies to play with.
Thanks to wwjoshdew we also have a video on how-to upgrade your device. Click here to view his post.
ROM Downloads
These can be flashed from a custom recovery.
I wanted to keep these as close to stock as is possible, so the only modifications made to them were superuser, busybox, the boot.img being made insecure, and the de-odexed version will be zip-aligned.

I skipped the most recent firmware update. Should I do that first, or just go straight to this?

Shouldn't hurt, but mine was fully updated when I ran everything so I can't say for sure
Should we apply any of these if there's not a Rom ready yet? And also can't we put the file on the external sd card and go to the bootloader and it will automatically find and install the file for the firmware on the external sd card? I'm s off. 1.12 h boot.
