[Q] Best Buy return policy - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

I was wondering if best buy will make me pay a restocking fee for returning my transformer. I know it says i can return or exchange it within 14 days but is that only if it is unopened? Or if i fond that it is damaged or has something wrong with it (the only reasons i would return it) would i be able to return it anyways? Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this.
Yes you can return it no questions asked within 14 days. Thanks to the people who replied!

There are no more restocking fees at Best Buy except for Special Orders.

You can return no questions asked as long as it's within 14 days. No restock fee.

ok thanks for the help guys thats what i thought by researching but wasnt sure. ill edit my post so other people who were wondering know.

How about shipping cost ?
I think I might need to return mine.. the right side edge moves 1/20 of a mm (guesstimate) when pressed down yet no other side moves.. Maybe the glue is coming undone

Returned mine
I received my TFP Dec 28. Called in for RMA number on Dec 29 because of GPS issues, held off sending it back, waiting for XDA wisdom to find a workaround. Then Asus pulled the spec, which I find offensive.
So I called Best Buy back to clarify and confirmed refund when they receive RMA'd unit. Full refund, credited back to card after a few days. So, did the factory reset, cleaned it and put it back in and sent it off via UPS.
Got caught up in the bleeding edge, learned a little.

Why didn't you just return to a store? Seems like it would be easier...
My bigger questions are: did they refund shipping, and are they honoring their holiday return policy for tablets?
Oh, and when does the return period start, when it's ordered or when it's received? I'd have to imagine when it's received, because a week can be lost in shipping, but I'm not positive either way.

Pretty sure the holiday return period does not apply to tablets (one of the exceptions). 14 days.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/2008-Gi...cat166500050003.c?id=pcmcat166500050003&h=387

My order says I have up to 45 days to return the item for a full refund. However I'm also a reward zone silver member so I don't know if that is why or because of the holidays

just returned mine to the store. you get full refund (i got free shipping but when i talked to customer service they said you get shipping refunded as well) . there's a big "flyer" on the counter saying bestbuy has eliminated restocking fees so no need to worry about that.

Not sure when the return period starts, I assume when delivered.
As to shipping, I opted for express shipping, targeted by them for 12.27, negotiated a discount to $10 for that shipping since I was one of the crew who'd originally ordered champagne and had to convert on 12/23. But they didn't deliver until 12/28, so I called back and got refund on shipping, separately from RMA. So shipping in my case was ultimately free, and yes/no is the answer to your question, depending on whether you're a glass half full/empty kind of person. ;-)
As for returning it to brick and mortar store, could have, but more driving in my case. Didn't want an exchange anyhow. I'm going to wait for ICS tablets with a customer use reputation now.

It says on the link posted it is upon receipt of the product is when the return period starts. After all of the drama regarding what Asus has done with the website and customer service responses, I will more than likely return mine and either get a g tab or wait to see if later production models eliminate the issues.

Gonna return mine to Best Buy tomorrow, a little bit of light bleed but mainly because of the absolutely horrendous customer service experience I had with them. Also, the 64-GB version I pre-ordered from Tiger Direct is finally on its way, with the dock!

I received an email to take a survey after one of my many phone calls with them. Aside from my excellent experience with the Reward Zone, I gave them a big FAIL on the rest of the survey. As a "valued customer", I've now been invited to speak to someone about my experience. I plan on calling next week. My biggest problem was the complete lack of communication to the CSRs and Supervisors about what we were told via email were our options for replacement ordering the champagne.
Anyway..... The items purchased from BB during the holidays fell under their extended holiday return policy. The its been posted, and it's something like 30days after delivery, tablets are not a excluded, and premium silver members get an additional 14 days

Need Advice-Have a chance to buy a Prime

I possibly, have a chance to buy a Prime tomorrow. It's very possible someone else might buy it before me because I won't have the $ until later morning. Got emailed the pics of it. The seller says to email him when I get the cash.
Of course, I hope that the seller waits for me or that no one gets it before I do. I am concerned about Wifi and I can't return it if it was defective! I would turn it on and test it thoroughly before giving cash.
I doubt that I will get it before another quicker buyer but, Would you girls and guys go for it?
Edit GOT IT!!!
I just downloaded the new software update thingy. Interestingly, Wifi seems to have improved BUT, I will test it some more. Looks good though.
Also, I have a crap cellphone the Samsung intercept, so the videowas atrocious but hopefully, I can upload it from this Prime. The pics are low quality too but will post later!
Gorgeous, super tablet I must say. Very fast. Im sad that my Prime is missing the S hadowgun and Bladeslinger demos! Andy , could go u upload them or where can I get them. The price of getting it early lol! Riptide is amazing!! The water effects!!!! Wow!
Very happy I got it, definitely worth, even with th e wifi issue. Sorry not used to typing on my Prime obviously lol!
I am sorry that I had my private messages off, if anyone wants to PM me, by all means do so. Pics later!

Ya do it. I doubt they actually changed anything in their production to "fix" the wifi "issue". No warranty does suck though... But hell, who knows how long some of us might have to wait for this thing, I'd jump on it if I had the chance!

I'd make sure you get the original receipt for it so if it needs to be exchanged or needs warranty work you're covered. Other than that, assuming you're OK with what you'll be paying for it, go for it.
P.S. - Do the exchange in a restaurant and get there first. Meeting strangers that know you'll have cash with you is something to be wary of.
Do you know where this person got their Prime from? Is it covered by warranty?
If it is not under warranty then I don't think it is worth it cause if it is defective or it becomes defective then you are screwed.
The seller says he obtained it from through a promotion last week at a technology media event in New York. Lucky man.
It's not from a store, so no receipt. I will ask if he has a paper with it. It's a USA Prime, so warranty by Asus

Good advice because I'm going long distance to a big city. I definitely am meeting in a public restaurant IF I even get the thing
Just my 2¢ on the issue: Don't worry about the warranty. Since it's a brand new product, you don't have to prove when you bought it. I sent in my Transformer multiple times to ASUS directly for service, and they never questioned when/where I purchased it...
There are others who will disagree, and of course, everyone's entitled to my opinions
If it was me...
I would only buy it if the box is still sealed. That's just me though, for my own peace of mind. Goodluck and keep us posted.

My point exactly, since you are getting the device right after it's released (before its released actually), so even if they count it to the day it was released you'd still get 1 full year of warranty.
I personally would not do it. It's just like people who charge close to retail for their used Ipads. If I'm paying close to retail, I may as just well purchase it for the retail price so I can have the peace of mind of going back to the store if anything goes wrong. Don't forget that since it's the holidays, most stores have extended return periods. Also, I know we all are eager to get the new prime but 1 or 2 months from now, if you are having problems with the unit, you have to ask yourself was it worth it to buy it a week early or would it have been better to wait a week and have your own receipt and the ability to return it to the store if you needed to.

You could also buy one at a B&M reseller once they're more widely available and return it. Keep the original receipt and return it with a photocopy or do it at BB where they can track the transaction by CC number and you don't need a receipt for returns. Use that to send in should it need repair. And for those with a higher moral standard then mine, it's bending the rules not breaking them.

Good point. I know Costco doesn't. GameStop's not too sophisticated so they may not. I'm not sure about Target and Walmart. BB probably does.
I guess nobody else is curious or maybe they are just classier than me but how much ya payin for it? Good luck too by the way.
He's asking $600 for the 32GB Amethyst Grey. I know it's $100 over retail. Would I be totally stupid? My pre-order was cancelled by Amazon and don't see how I will get one this month if another buyer gets to the overpriced promo Prime first, but who knows.

Honestly, I would pay that right now. After tax and shipping that's what it would cost anyway. My preorder at GS was $544. Go for it. Even if you can handle yourself, take somebody with you for added security anyway. I don't know what it's like in NJ but I'm in Texas and I think I would have a heater in the truck.
I wouldn't do it especially for that price unless you absolutely need to have it now. Then again, I know how it feels to want something so bad that you are willing to pay over MSRP for it. You have to ask yourself, is it worth it to pay a $100 markup on something that may be on shelves in a week. Even if it's released next month, you have to ask yourself if it is worth it to pay more for something that you can't freely return in any store since he isn't giving you a receipt. If you have the money and you need it that bad, then pull the trigger. This thread reminds me of when I paid $750 for the Nokia n95 before it hit stateside. Never again my friend, never again.
Just to reiterate it's not really a $100 markup if you have to pay tax and have it shipped. $544 with tax in Tejas. Add shipping and its much closer to 6 hundo. Plus, waiting an extra month or two is not worth saving $50 - $100; to me anyway.
I would pay for it because at gamestop with overnight shipping charges, mine comes out to $554, but thats just me.
He would get much more on eBay for it. Grab the chance while you have it.

SquareTrade Experience??

I take great care of my tech toys...especially my Prime. But yesterday when I dropped my Transformer on the concrete, I realized anything can happen. It was in my neoprene carrying case with the keyboard attached, and it fell onto one of it's corners nice and solid. I knew for sure something happened, was hoping for just a minor dented corner, but I knew from all the stories here that the screen would be cracked. After 10 mins of growing enough balls to do it, I unzipped the case and checked it out. It is %100 fine...physically and internally!
So I'm going with SquareTrade. I'm rooted and unlocked, and flash custom ROMS/ kernels also, so as far as Asus is concerned I'm an outcast.
Has anyone had any experience with SquareTrade?
I know they're highly recommended and reliable, but I've never heard of anyone actually using it.
Will they just pay me for it because they can't find any Primes or parts for it?
Do they just send it to Asus anyway?
I would hope they cover bricks, but I'm not sure.
Do you have 30 days or 90 days to purchase? I've heard both.
Thanks guys...

While it's still under warranty, you send it to Asus and ST reimburses you for the repair up to the value of your policy.

Voiding your warranty by unlocking it is a grey area. The language in their policy specifically excludes user induced damage related to non-standard h/w and s/w. I don't know if any one here has tested it yet by trying to get reimbursed for a "brick."

Very interesting...thanks. So I have to come out of pocket to Asus, then eventually get reimbursed by SquareTrade? That sucks. I've heard of Prime repairs costing almost as much as a new one.
And by it going to Asus, it would be more likely that it would be detected as a brick with modified software etc...definite grey area. I'm actually considering just getting rid of it while it's still in perfect working condition and holding off for the Infinity. It just seems like even if not by me, somethings gonna give. Screen muras, the mysterious cracked glass from the dock, etc.
Got some thinking to do.
Before I unlocked and got square trade I called them and specifically asked about SOFTWARE unlocking, and say I accidentally dropped it. They said they will cover it, they just stressed to me I can't be opening it physically.
I just purchased the Square Trade warranty for my Transformer Prime yesterday.
I'm usually not interested in an extended warranty from Best Buy or other retailers. I figure they've done the analysis, and if they paid out more then they took in, they certainly wouldn't be pushing extended warranties.
However, if my Prime were to get damaged, I think I'd want to replace it, and at $500 or so, I really would NOT want to have to come out of pocket again.
Also, the reviews on Square Trade are excellent! Very good user experiences when needing to have a device repaired, or, if it's no longer repairable or replaceable, Square Trade seems to refund your purchase price in full!
FYI: I called Square Trade before buying the extended warranty, and asked the salesperson for a discount code. She offered me 10% code, I told her I've seen numerous codes that provided 30% off... she ended up giving me a code that was good for 20% off.
I am currently in the process of having mine repaired through them. I set up a claim online, they sent me a box, it is going to a repair facility in Pennsylvania, they never asked me to send it t o ASUS. They should recieve it today, then they will assess the condition of the unit.
Just had a DroidX repaired by Square Trade. They gave me a pre-paid shipping label (two days) repaired the unit, and had it back in my hands exactly one week later. (I shipped on a Monday, received it back on a Monday.)
I am very impressed...and glad I have a SquareTrade warranty on my Prime.

FWIW, I've had SquareTrade repair my step-kid's S-OFF'd & rooted Aria multiple times and they have never given me grief because it was unlocked. Although they did return it once after fixing a broken screen with a screenshot showing the Superuser app installed and circled in red. Not sure what they were trying to say there, but it was repaired nonetheless.

I bought a sqauretrade warranty a few weeks ago, I insured my tfp for $700 for the tablet and the dock, but since I didn't buy a bundle they only insure the tablet for $535, they offered me a 30 dollar keyboard dock warranty but I doubt my dock will break before my tablet so I will cut my loses when I upgrade.
Anyone want to give me some insurance fraud tips for when I plan to upgrade so they don't replace it with another TFP? I was thinking about throwing it in the pool and making sure it hit the deck first so they can't fix it lol.

I'm buying a policy tomorrow, because I dropped my Prime TWICE in 5 days! I've never done that to any electronics I've ever had, and most likely once I get a policy I will never drop it again
But it was docked and closed and in a neoprene carrying case, and by some miracle, nothing happened.

My SquareTrade experience with returning a TF201

I got my TF201 (grey 64 gb model) in January and have been struggling with multiple issues since i received it. I recently got the GPS dongle at the end of September which made the GPS reception better but i was still having other issues (especially with intermittent screen flicker).
I contacted everyone i could think of involved with the purchase:
* The manufacturer; Asus - they wanted me to send it in for warranty repair and I would pay for shipping...
* The vendor i bought it from; Expansys - they offered an RMA for repair, but warned it would take 6-8 weeks and i would pay for shipping...
* The aftermarket warranty company; SquareTrade; they gave me a free label to print and ship it to them and said i would have it back within 5 days.
So I sent my TF201 (grey 64gb model) to Square Trade for repair... i reported the following issues to them:
1) Screen flicker
2) Poor WiFi reception
3) Poor GPS reception
4) Poor Bluetooth reception
They had it for 5 business days before notifying me that they were going to fix it; they updated the claim right as they closed for the day.
I called them on the 6th business day and explained they had it for more then 5 days, the rep confirmed this was true and they refunded me the 79.99 i paid for the warranty since they did not have it back to me within the 5 day period. They also said it would take another 7 to 10 days for parts to arrive before they can fix it and ship it back to me
So at this point i had a free warranty on the device.... cool, but i still had to wait for the repaired item.
On the 8th business day i brought out the big guns and let my wife call them to get another update. At that time she explained to the SquareTrade rep that this was ridiculous and that we needed it back sooner as i was going out of town and my wife needed the device while i was gone.
The rep understood that refunding the cost of the device (599) would allow us to purchase a replacement sooner then waiting for them to send the repaired item back; so the rep authorized the reimbursement of the full $599
So i got my $599 plus the $79.99 back.... I love SquareTrade!
Now if only i could find a buyer for the dock/keyboard and GPS dongle...

LOL! sorry guys, I was little thrown off - my intent of posting was to share my experience with SquareTrade... I was not trying to solicit buyers for the dock. I suppose that is a bonus to posting the story though. I responded to the both of you via PM with a preference on the first received inquiry.
Thats awesome. When did you get your squaretrade warranty?
I have always had good experiences with square trade. I tried to get their warranty for my prime, but i bought mine on craigslist and they wouldnt let me. Owell. So are you gonna get another asus product with the refund money?
I got the square trade warranty the day after I purchased the prime; prior to its delivery.
This was my first and only experience with square trade.
I did already buy a Nexus 7 which is an Asus product but I don't think I will be getting another Transformer. Ironically I have been experiencing screen flicker with the Nexus 7 also.

Thank you for this. I bought a 2 yr squaretrade warranty and I'm going to exercise that soon....as soon as I get my Prime back from Asus
I've been holding off using my squaretrade warranty in hopes that Gamestop will do an exchange for the Infinity and while I wait for something better that's not an Asus POS to come out. I figure if I have to go through squaretrade because of Asus's lack of support, then I will never buy another Asus product again.
Not so lucky with SquareTrade...
Similar issue to OP, but didn't get nearly the same results.
My Prime arrived at their repair center yesterday. Got an e-mail today saying it was fixed, and was on its way back to me.
I called to ask what was repaired. They said the technician noted that they had reloaded the latest update and reset to factory defaults.... Ummmmm.... I did that before I ever shipped it to them!
So, no fix, and headed back here... I really wish I could get GameStop to replace/refund this thing or ASUS to refund... Both of those avenues seem to be a dead end...

I think you are lucky then - if that is all they did then nothing should have been deducted from the total value of your warranty!
So when you get your prime back and the issue continues, call them back and be prepared to send it in again.
I would also politely request better attention to detail from their technicians and explain that you have already been without the prime for x many days so you would really appreciate a swift resolution.
I'll let you all know my experience as my tablet has been sent off. I explained that it was already sent to Asus and some repairs have been done but still poor wifi issues.
I sent my Prime to Squaretrade for repairs as the HDMI port on the prime was bad, it took them less than two days to get them back to me after they received it. Well I was all happy until I decided to match the serial numbers and guess what, they don't match. My prime is a 32gb and the one they sent is a 64gb, not complaining, double the storage. But the HDMI on this one doesnt work either. I tried 3 different tv sets and different cables and nothing. It used to work before on my 32gb but the port felt loose. So I call them and they are trying to figure what happened with the repair center, should I claim them the full price and switch to an Infinity or Nexus 10?

So what happened with this? Did you get your original tablet back repaired, or did you get the original cost of the tablet reimbursed to you from SquareTrade?
I also sent you a PM.
klownkillah, I sent you a PM too.
I was also curious what happened with @ganyapr's prime - it certainly is an interesting situation.
@unknown_owner - i replied to your pm; it wasn't my prime.
Sorry for not updating. Well, it turned out that the technician mixed back covers and sent me the wrong unit. I had to send it back and squaretrade refunded me the money for warranty. I have to wait until next Monday to know what happend to my original prime since they cant find it now. If they cant find it they will give me the 64gb version instead of the 32gb I had or refund me the full price of the tablet. I'll let you know guys next week of what happens.
Should I just ask the for the refund and move on?

wow - I expected squaretrade and their repair facility to be more on top of things.... if it were me i would say something like:
'this is ridiculous! you guys don't even know what happened to, or where, my original prime is! at this point i have already been without the device for X many days! please refund the full amount of the device; this will obviously be the quickest and most expedient way for me to get back to using the device'
If that works then you could either buy it again or purchase a different model that is not plagued by the issues the prime had.
An update
So the repair center called me and they did replaced the mainboard and Squaretrade updated the serial number. My original was a 32gb and the replacement is a 64gb so I will stay with it instead of asking for full refund, the only issue I had was the hdmi port. Lets see how the wifi is on this unit as I didn't had an issue with my original.

Free nexus 10!?

I ordered a Nexus 10 and decided I did not want it and cancelled my order. But for some reason it still shipped to me and the charge was refunded.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Ship it back. Anything else is theft, despite their mistake.
But I predict a bunch of rationalizations coming for why you should keep it. I mean, it's Google and Samsung, they're big companies. They won't miss it...
Up to you... there is a paper trail that leads to you so if not now it may bite you in the @ss later. I would rather return and save you the problems down the road. Its the right thing to do

If they send you a return shipping label and box yes.
If they don't , I wouldn't pay to ship it back and then it is FREE!
when the kindle fire launched a friend got two when she had pre-ordered and paid for only one. She was honest and she sent it back as instructed with a provided shipping label. The next month she noticed on her CC statement they had refunded her money when she sent back the extra. She actually called in about it again and the rep just told her to keep it because he wasn't sure how to charge her without shipping another one. Result = free Kindle Fire.

That's what I thought. They screwed up and if they want me to spend $20 to send it back then I think I will keep it.
If they spot the mistake, they will charge you. They keep your CC on record. If they don't charge you, they will remotely deactivate the device, making it useless.
Ethically you should return it.
But legally you do not have to as far as I understand. If you canceled the order before they shipped ( up to them to enforce) then it is their problem. Nor can they charge anything on your card with out your authorization. They do not have your permission to charge your card at this point.
How ever if you do not contact them and try to work it out I can say with certainty that would make you a **** head. Don't be a **** head.
If you're okay with not having warranty of any kind, sure. Hope nothing goes wrong with your stolen device.
I for one, surely, won't help you.

A bit sanctimonious, no? I can't count the number of stories I've read on XDA where people were shipped incorrect, defective, or damaged goods by a reseller or accused of "customer induced damage" by a manufacturer's repair department and wrongly told to go pound sand for one reason or another. It's not a lily white world we live in.
OP, if it were me I'd keep it but would be prepared to pay for it if asked leaving it up to powers greater than myself to decide if I was truly intended to get a "Free nexus 10."
I would wait to see if they end up "fixing" it themselves first, before thinking to call them about this mistake. If they ask you to pay for shipping, then I would say no way.
I got a "Free" Samsung galaxy s3 from a mistake Verizon made, but that's not the same and well they ware jerks.( 10+ call's, 3 "tickets and month's of waiting, so they had it coming.)
Hope google is nice and lets you have it for free.
P.S Google can you ship my n4 as well or should I say UPS, because they made the "shipping label" days ago with no update.
Keep it, don't resell it, and do your best to advertise how google is awesome for giving you a free tablet. Chances are your publicity will cause enuogh sales to offset the cost to google and samsung. Win Win
Give it to me, I can handle the burden on my conscious.
If sounds strange that Google could process a refund this quickly. As just about everyone else that has done a return/refund with Google has usually needed to wait 2 or 3 weeks to it.
I'm wondering if that wasn't possibly just the hold on your card finally going away and they haven't charged you yet. I don't think I saw the charge show up for my Nexus 4 until the day after I got my phone.
Another possibility is Google is just doing refunds immediately but still expecting you to return the tablet within 14 or 21 days and will simply charge you again if it's not received.

Keep it. I ordered one on launch day and still don't have a tracking #. After daily phone calls and emails I just deal with a lot of people who apparently have no idea what is going on.
The pending charge was a check to see if the funds were available. Your charge will appear in a day or 2 relax its not theft lol. Picked up my nexus yesterday from UPS and the charge hit today after being refunded just like you are explaining

Just spoke to google about returning my nexus 10

Glad that was easy, I'm getting a replacement shipped out to me in a week or so. But when in spoke to the Google rep he insisted they do not refund customers after the 15 day period even if there item is faulty.
Has anybody else returned their nexus after the 15day period and got a refund?????
I'm sending mine back for several reasons;
Kept freezing/locking up
Crackling sound coming from speakers when watching a video on YouTube sometimes
Light bleed on top left and bottom left corner
Back casing making a cracking sound when holding it on the left side.
Have any of you witnessed these problems and how did you overcome them if you did.
A friend got replaced last week. Purchased before Christmas. This was in UK though so 2 year warranty (free of additional charge) applies by European law [Apple got in trouble recently for suggesting only 1 year].
Manufacturing faults by the way are covered for 6 years. Not seen that applied much on modern consumer electronics.

I'm surprised to hear about them not accepting returns after 15 days even with defects. I wasn't aware of this.
If you want a refund all you have to do is refuse delivery of the replacement they are going to send you. They told me that's the only way they will refund the money. I called and asked them that because this is my 4th unit.

Hi. ayman07 and all who are replying.
Could you please inform me on how to refuse delivery as i would much rather gain a refund as i am more interested in purchasing an i5 laptop around the £400 mark.
Many thanks
When the UPS guy comes just be at the door and say you're refusing delivery. Alternatively, you could leave a note on your door saying that you are refusing delivery. I think you may be able to call them as well (before it's delivered).

I would but I doubt they would refund if i did this and it would make the process even more difficult, i also doubt if i phone them they will compromise as I honestley don't want it anymore but its like they're force feeding it me.
But I'll try phoning them again now
Thanks again

You can doubt all you want my friend, this is what I was told by the Google representative. You can always file a claim with your credit card company once you refuse delivery.

I would double check with Google before refusing delivery. I had to have another replacement sent. Called on Friday and because it's my 2nd RMA I wanted to ensure I wasn't going to get hit with their 15% restocking fee (for those who don't want to do the math, that's about $75USD for the 32GB). I was told that as long as I'm exchanging defective ones for new ones I'd be OK. But if one is looking to return the device and get a refund he'd be subject to the restocking fee, even if the device being returned is detective.

Then why did you buy it?
And if you want to have an easier time returning and exchanging then you should buy from a retail store like Walmart. Its always good to read the fine print return policy before you buy something online
I was told early on that I had 15 MORE days once I got the replacement. So as long as you request a refund within 15 days of your replacement it should work. Definitely call and double check bit I got a refund on my second device. Just make sure to stay on top of it and Call call call. Think it it as a second opinion because there is no uniformity with the play support.

Interesting. Were you charged the restocking fee? Did you have to fight to keep it from being flagged as buyer's remorse (which is what triggers the restocking fee - according to the Google rep I spoke to on Friday)?

I was not charged a restocking fee but when I got the refund I noticed it didn't cover shipping..I'll take the $11 hit and never buy from the play store again. Enjoy the $11 Google!
After my RMA was all set up for returning my second device for a full refund I called back just to make sure I had everything right. That is when I was informed that they put it in as remorse. I laughed to myself and said "I told her many times that it was defective" it was unbelievable and I only did it because I heard someone else got charged because they "accidentally" put it in as buyers remorse.
My only advice is to stay on top of it....never again will I buy a device on the play store.

I got my RMA yesterday and am going to be getting a shipping label "soon" they say. But because I'm in the EU they won't be charging me a restocking fee but they did say when I asked about fees that I will be refunded fully but the £10 spent on delivery will not be refunded.
Yeah I agree there is no uniformity with the play support as first i was told i cannot get a refund however as i persisted they agreed to provide me with one. Im kinda glab they havent got uniformity in their support now.:victory:
In the UK you have 6 months for a refund in faulty goods. Same for the EU.
