[Q] transferring Apps to the SD - Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet

i have a question, when you transfer an app to the sd via the manage application settings. where do the files go i cant find it anywhere? its not on the sd card i cant find it on the sd portion of the nand.

if you dont find the answer try using a combo of drop box and es file explorer (both found on market). That's what I use to transfer any app or file form device to card

[Q] Where is my Micro SD Card?

Where can I access the programs I have copied via my computer to my Dell Streak 5 memory card?
I would like to run a .apk program how can I do this when I cannot see the files.
Under SD card & phone storage settings - I have a a 4gb card with 1gb free but all the options are grey out and the only one available is to Unmount SD card.
This is my first post and any help is appreciated!
many thanks.
ES File Explorer or use Quick Office to browse the SD card (if it is on your phone).
Marvin02,
I have downloaded ES file explorer which has allowed me to access my SD card on my Streak and I have been able to open and install the program I wanted.
Was a bit worried when a warning came up that I was installing a program which was not from the android market and that it would be blocked!
Many thanks for your helpful advise.
That warning is standard for any app that does not come directly from the market. You need to enable Unknown sources in the application settings on the phone. If your Streak doesn't have that setting (AT&T limitation) you can search for ho to enable that setting or use Sideload Wonder Machine to install apps from your computer.

[Q] transfer files from android phone ext sd to tab?

Have pics on my rooted atrix's external sd card. Astro bluetooth nor bluetooth file trans app show the sd card even when browsing from the phone. Is there a "right" way to do this? Some way to make the sd discoverable as a drive?
I know I could move to internal storage on phone then using astro btooth upload to tab or use tab to find the file. But the folder is too big to put on the phones internal. And of course there's dropbox but isn't there an easy direct way to browse the phones ext sd from my tab?
If the answer involes vpn, kies or adhoc could u plz explain.
Thanks all!
you can download root explorer or another file browser that has access to all of your folders. Of course you need to root your tablet before.
And that has bluetooth file transfer? I have rooted the tab.

[Q] Can't detect SD Card

I'm having some problem with my sd-card. I use a class 4 16 gb SD card and I can browse it using a file manager and even play songs stored within. But some apps cannot detect it. When using the camera, NavDroyd and some apps, it is asking me to attach a card. I tried remounting the card to no avail.
And another thing - I have a torrent app. I started downloading a 2gb file but decided to cancel it. But the free space of my card was still reduced by 2gb although I removed the torrent and data. Any tips on this? Thanks.
Any ideas?
Try to copy what you have on sd card on your pc, then format it and copy the things back on sd card.Have you tried another card? Maybe is a rom problem. And the utorrent thingy, browse the sd-card and check the folder where it downloads the torrents and see if the file is still there, and manually delete it.
If I format my sd-card. do I have to repeat the convertion of ext2 to ext3,etc.. stuffs?

[Q] Cannot access/find data on SD card..Help!

Probably a simple solution to this but
Basically I have used the Settings>Storage>Transfer data to SD Card option to free up some memory on the phone but now I can not find the data on the SD card?
3gb of photos nowhere to be found.
Any help is much appreciated.
No ideas?
Maybe a Filemanager (search on the Playstore) could help?
It just shows empty folders using filemanager apps and when direct connected to the pc.
There is appartently over over 10gb used on the card but nothing showing in any folders?
Very frustrating.
Check lost.dir on your sd card, files generally end up there if it's a bad copy
Yep, checked and there are files there.
Tried rooting, fixing SD card permision and repairing/restoring with Recuva and ES File Manager as per a couple of tuts but nothing is working.
Any other ideas?

How to move files from device to external sd card in lollipop without root

Im not sure if this is a lollipop only solution but if you use the built in file manager called "My Files" you are able to use this method to bypass the restriction third party file managers have of not been able to write to the external sd card. I only mention this because searching via google most people send to use a program called "b1" which has the restriction of only being able to write to that created b1 folder on the sd card.
i'm mainly talking files that where downloaded To the external device rather than game data files which need a link app to successfully move and keep working.
