SIM locked after flashing stock firmware. Reunlock - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

So basically what has happened is I have flashed my phone back to stock firmware from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1012938&highlight=2+1+1+a+0+6) (because I bricked it, and now it no longer lets me connect to the Network(Telecom XT NZ))
Why does it not let me connect to the network anymore. Other Networks still do work though (2Degrees, Vodafone).
Is there a way to fix this(unlock, without having to pay)?
And also if I was to do the code thing, could I install custom firmware (eg. MiniCM7) and then use codes?
EDIT:
It seems that the phone can simply no longer connect to 850mhz frequencys (which is what XT use). XT also use 2100mhz which I can connect to but is very limited.
I don't know if this means it is locked. But the XT sim card does work in some places where the 2100mhz frequency broadcasts. So maybe not a SIM lock.
Exactly what it says at the moment is "No service. Selected Network (Telecom NZ) unavailble"
The phone I think should still work somehow shouldn't it since it was already unlocked when bought and after flashing the firmware it no longer does.
EDIT 2:
After reading this:
http://www.ben.geek.nz/2009/06/a-question-which-phones-can-i-use-on-xt-and-vodafone/
Somehow I have changed the phone from a 850/2100 phone to a 900/2100 all through a flash of a UK Firmware 2.1.1.A.0.6. If this is true, then should I be able to find a firmware to flash it back to 850/2100 phone?
EDIT 3:
Starting to figure this out.
My idea is the phone was originally a U20a and I flashed a U20i firmware !!
Downloading U20a firmware now.. I think this should work !
EDIT 4:
Using the AUS U20a firmware from..
Check my post here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=777660&page=5
The phone perfectly now !!.
Thanks for the help guys :L

[Q] Loaded phone to stock 2.3.5, now it's kind of broken

I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 and I flashed a Stock 2.3.5 Rom to my phone because I screwed up flashing a previous Rom. The Rom I flashed appears to be defaulted to Poland, I managed to change the language, but for some reason I can't get any Cell reception, I am unable to send texts or make phone calls. I checked the CSC and it is: XEO - Poland (Plus, Era, Heyah, Orange, Play). I don't know much about phones but this appears to be an issue since I don't live anywhere near Poland.
I have a Telus Sim card but it appears as if my phone can't connect to their network. Additionally, before flashing this Rom I was pretty sure that my only option in Network Operators was Telus, but now I have Telus and CAN Rogers Mobile INC. When I attempt to select Telus from this list it says "Registering on TELUS..." for around 2-3 minutes then says "Unable to connect to network, try again"
I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
When I go to About Phone>Status it says..
Network: Unknown
Mobile Network Type: UMTS
Service State: Out of Service
Roaming: Not roaming(although this appears to switch on and off, despite me being well within Telus coverage.)
Mobile Network State: Disconnected
Android Version: 2.3.5
Baseband version: S5830XWKS2
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-perf-CL654989
[email protected] #1
Build number: Gingerbread.XWKS9
Do I have to install a Telus Canadian version of the stock firmware for 2.3.5 or could I possibly install stock firmware for 2.3.4 and update it through kies to get the appropriate CSC?(My phone is able to connect to Samsung kies)
I don't care if my phone has 2.3.4 or 2.3.5, either one would be fine with me.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated, ask me any and all questions.
MAJOR EDIT
I put *#7465625# into my phone to check the Network Lock and Sim Lock's and it turns out
Network Lock [ON]
Network Subset Lock [OFF]
SP Lock [ON]
CP Lock [ON]
Does this mean that I can't connect to to the network because there is a lock on it? If this is right I assume I need to go to Telus and have them unlock it, right?
Edit: I phoned *#2263# to get into a frequency selection screen and I selected: WCDMA Band Preference>WCDMA 850
Telus runs on 850/1900, I have the option to choose 1900, and the option to choose all(850/900/1800/1900/2100), there's also an option to choose "Automatic", should I stick with running 850, or risk running automatic and have it randomly jump around for unknown reasons? I know 850 will work in most areas I go, so it wouldn't be a serious drawback.
I think it's best to use the Telus firmware.....

I'm not entirely certain, but I don't think Telus has any official Firmware that the public has access to. If you have found any that would be appreciated, but as far as I'm aware, companies don't put that kind of thing out into the general public.
On Telusmobilitys site if you go to the section to update software I can see Samsung Galaxy Ace on the list but it says 2.3.4 and there are no available updates, which means I can't update it through that method.
Is the CSC being different an issue or just a small annoyance?

I'm a Singaporean but my Ace is set to XSR (or XER I forgot)

I don't think I clarified this in the op, there is only one option in the CSC list, which is XEO, Poland, I presume I need a Telus CSC, however, using the list found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=787163
I can't find one that would work for a Telus phone.
Edit: My phones Network is now connected to "TELUS" and Service State is "In Service" but I still have to send messages 3-4 times before they finally say sent, sometimes taking up to 3 minutes to send a simple message.
If anyone knows any way to fix this I'd greatly appreciate it.

[Q] Radio doesn't get replaced

Hi all
I have P768 and i'm having an issue with radio. I flashed JB from South Africa, everything works great.. at least in begining. Randomly my phone stops receiving calls, text messages, data connection.. It's like my phone became an ipod
So, i assume the problem is my radio, i tried flashing back to ICS to see if baseband in phone's seetings became different, but unfortunatelly for me, it is not changing. I offline flashed euro 20b, ics, but my baseband is not changing (System settings > About phone > Software information > Baseband version > L6260_MODEM_SIC_01.1230.00)
I want found a radio.zip in carlos thread, but it is for P769. I dont want to flash that because i can lost radio permanently, since my phone is not changing that in offline flash.
I'm wondering where can i get those files, i have JB P768 kdz, can i extract the radio file from that and flash it via CWM into my phone?
I already tried switching radio file (LGP768.fls or something i don't remember now), but it dont change either.
I think the only way is with CWM i don't know, but if someone could help me, it'll be much apreciated
Hi shucrut,
To this date, the only method to change radio (baseband) of L9 is through KDZ flashing (online or offline, whatever).
If you flashed KDZ and think the baseband has not changed, what is happening is simple: the info in System settings > About phone > Software information > Baseband version doesn't change, well, at least in several versions of KDZ (ICS or JB) I flashed, the Baseband info was the same.
But, there is a best place to check baseband version: in Hidden Menu > Version Info > Factory Version.
If you flashed a KDZ changing the baseband (*.fls) you will see, Factory Version reflects the baseband.
For example, if you used a KDZ of V20B Australia changing the baseband by LGP768.fls of V10B Claro Brazil, you will see: LGP768fAT-00-V10b-724-05-AUG-26-2013 regardless of the version of KDZ.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for repplying. The thing is that for Brazil they not updated P768 to JellyBean, so i'm on the way to flash JB on this, because ICS is too much slow in many situations..
I will try to explain what is hapening and if you could, please, help me figure this out.
My network provider is Oi, it operates in frequency 1900MHz for 2G and 2100MHz for 3G. Another networks here uses different frequencies, one is not compatible with another, so the phones here need to be quad band (850, 900, 1800, 1900), 3G (850, 1900, 2100)
So i flashed already many roms and can tell some experiences i had:
- MEXICO JB: Everything working normal, except for 3G: I think LG disabled the 3g working in 2100MHz on mexico roms, so i have not 3g
- SOUTH AFRICA JB: Everything works, including 3G . The strange thing is that after a day using it without rebooting the phone, i simple lost carier signal, so i cannot receive/send messages or calls. In this state, my phone shows me i do have signal, but nothing works.
--- I tried switching the radio.fls from many roms to see if this problem disappear, like Brazil's ICS radio, mexico radio, europe, p769 v21 radio.. The problem persists after every test
--- Strange thing is that sometimes took me a day to lost signal, but sometimes took me less than 2 hours
- VIETNAM JB: same as SOUTH AFRICA
- EMIRATED ARAB JB: same as SOUTH AFRICA
So this is my situation, i'm stucked with a locked bootloader and ICS due to this carrier's signal problem..
I dont know if LG disabled something in these roms that dont use some frequencies.. After some search, i found this:
http://www.worldtimezone.com/gsm.html
looks like some countries do use 2100MHZ for 3g, but still gives me that problem. I don't know what else i can do
Sorry for late reply, I've been busy the last days.
So, did you flash a KDZ (Mexico, South Africa, Vietnam, etc.) switching the baseband in the middle of the flashing, right?
And the version of the baseband is showing in Hidden Menu > Version Info > Factory Version?
Did you make another modifications (like changing rild or lge-ril.so)?
I also tested several JB versions (Mexico, Australia, Open Europe, etc.) with the ICS Claro Brazil baseband and didn't notice any abnormal behavior (radio related, of course; the roms have their own bugs:silly.
But maybe the difference is in the methodology. When "nothing works", if you switch (off-on) Airplane mode, makes any difference? Signal strength is showing in status bar? After reboot, the phone returns to normal?
I will try the same versions (Vietnam and Emirated Arab I have not yet experienced!), but now my bootloader is unlocked, and my provider is Claro BR.

Xperia x10i Radio capability lost, How to Repair if possible

Hi
I believe that my phones radio capabilities may be disabled. I tried to root my phone but ended up flashing it with an ftf file and now i cant connect to my mobile network with my phone, Ive tried multiple simcards and flashing my phone a few times with different ftf files.
Everything else on my phone seems to be working fine except ability to connect to mobile network carrier.
I cant unlock the bootloader or use s1tools because it cant recognise the certificate or something like that, I can flash and root the phone though.
can i save my phone and how?
Hi
Today i flashed and rooted my unlocked xperia x10i with flashtool and the provided .ftf file, "X10_V1_BLRelock.ftf". Pretty much after that my phone had been reset and i couldn't connect to my mobile network.
During the initial setup after the flash, my phone asked me to "Please insert sim card and restart your phone", Now in the drop down bar is has a "No service, selecting network (yes optus) is unavailable). Originally with this phone and my x10a the other networks had a red circle indicating i couldn't access them however right now i can try to connect to all of them but fail. everytime i try to connect i get the message "Your simcard does not allow connection to this network". My APN list is blank but it has always been blank.
My simcard works in another phone, other simcards dont work in my phone. I tried flashing my phone again and rooting it again, with multiple ftf files. I was going to try installing another rom for jellybean, but i cant because my adb drivers are stuffed and ill figure that out later if need be.
I live in australia and the imei is fine, hasnt changed and im not even sure if that would effect the phone from functioning here. I have no idea is its affected the phones radio or frequencies if supposed to function on, help would be greatly appreciated.
I cant receive or make phone calls, texts messages, anything that relies upon me being connected to my carrier. everything else seems to work fine including my home internet. i also used that *#*#4636#*#* and that didnt really tell me anything i dont think.
Phone: Xperia x10i, unlocked
Running: android 2.3.3,
baseband version: 2.1.71
If you require any other information, ill post it up, not that sure what would be needed to figure this out.

UK unlocked z5 conoact, enable WiFi calling ee

On the EE site it says WiFi calling is only enabled on phones bought from them directly however I bought an unlocked version so I can use it while traveling. But my house had no signal so I've been used to using WiFi calling on my older iphone. Is there a way to update the phone to whatever settings ee have put on their own phones ?
Yes, you can flash an EE firmware on your phone. Just search for Xperifirm and a guide how to flash a firmware from it.
From what I understand the newer versions of flashtool would automatically exclude the files that might simlock you phone again (like simlock.ta).
Thanks , if I lock the phone by accident can it be unlocked ?

Question Change carrier firmware to Global Firmware

Ask? Is it possible to change the firmware of my carrier and put the global firmware on it without unlocking the bootloader? My cell phone is a nokia 5.4 and it comes with operator firmware (CLARO-TELMEX-TELCEL), Although altering the SIMCARD tray, the cell phone recognizes the two simcards of different operators, but many functions that are usually in the global version to manage each sim, are disabled. Again, it is possible to remove the firmware from the carrier and put the Global firmware on my cell phone.
It´s Posible? please!!
Hi @Scdo-117, I think it can be attempted via anybody offering Nokia remote flashing services.
The regional differences are pulled by the SKUID and the firmware remains the same. So, if anybody can redo the SKUID, then your phone will work differently.
