Question Change carrier firmware to Global Firmware - Nokia 5.4

Ask? Is it possible to change the firmware of my carrier and put the global firmware on it without unlocking the bootloader? My cell phone is a nokia 5.4 and it comes with operator firmware (CLARO-TELMEX-TELCEL), Although altering the SIMCARD tray, the cell phone recognizes the two simcards of different operators, but many functions that are usually in the global version to manage each sim, are disabled. Again, it is possible to remove the firmware from the carrier and put the Global firmware on my cell phone.

It´s Posible? please!!

Hi @Scdo-117, I think it can be attempted via anybody offering Nokia remote flashing services.
The regional differences are pulled by the SKUID and the firmware remains the same. So, if anybody can redo the SKUID, then your phone will work differently.

SIM locked after flashing stock firmware. Reunlock

So basically what has happened is I have flashed my phone back to stock firmware from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1012938&highlight=2+1+1+a+0+6) (because I bricked it, and now it no longer lets me connect to the Network(Telecom XT NZ))
Why does it not let me connect to the network anymore. Other Networks still do work though (2Degrees, Vodafone).
Is there a way to fix this(unlock, without having to pay)?
And also if I was to do the code thing, could I install custom firmware (eg. MiniCM7) and then use codes?
EDIT:
It seems that the phone can simply no longer connect to 850mhz frequencys (which is what XT use). XT also use 2100mhz which I can connect to but is very limited.
I don't know if this means it is locked. But the XT sim card does work in some places where the 2100mhz frequency broadcasts. So maybe not a SIM lock.
Exactly what it says at the moment is "No service. Selected Network (Telecom NZ) unavailble"
The phone I think should still work somehow shouldn't it since it was already unlocked when bought and after flashing the firmware it no longer does.
EDIT 2:
After reading this:
http://www.ben.geek.nz/2009/06/a-question-which-phones-can-i-use-on-xt-and-vodafone/
Somehow I have changed the phone from a 850/2100 phone to a 900/2100 all through a flash of a UK Firmware 2.1.1.A.0.6. If this is true, then should I be able to find a firmware to flash it back to 850/2100 phone?
EDIT 3:
Starting to figure this out.
My idea is the phone was originally a U20a and I flashed a U20i firmware !!
Downloading U20a firmware now.. I think this should work !
EDIT 4:
Using the AUS U20a firmware from..
Check my post here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=777660&page=5
The phone perfectly now !!.
Thanks for the help guys :L

Flashing Chinese Firmware Fail...

Dear all,
I am trying to flash my GT-i9300 from stock Hong Kong firmware to stock Chinese Firmware because Hong Kong version has traditional chinese input whereas I need simplified Chinese Input which may be available in Chinese version. When I bought the mobile in China, it already had Chinese firmware but I installed Cyanogenmod and other things but now I want to revert back. The problem is every firmware I tried works when I flash using Odin 3 except the CHU firmware. While flashing as soon as the process comes to Modem, Odin displays Fail and I have no option but to flash back to other firmware which installs without a problem. Any clues why the phone doesn't accept CHU firmware? I have tried all the four firmwares available on Sammobile website for CHU (China) but non of them installs (all fails at the Modem step). I also downloaded from other sites but the same problem. By the way, my mobile is not Chinese, it was made for the European market, I am not sure but I think it was Croatia or something, dont recognize the language on the packaging.
Another tiny problem: My mobile doesn't responds smoothly when it is plugged for charging, the touch seems not to work. I have to touch an icon two or three times to open it. Don't know why.
Thanks all.
Could it maybe have something to do with different network used in China? I mean doesn't the Chinese networks use different technology from Europe? That would maybe explain the European version not accepting Chinese modem?
Dear Juahan,
May be... I think I should give it a try but installing a few firmwares from around the world and let you know. However, when I bought this mobile, it was European model having a chinese firmware, I think they shop sellers in China had already installed a chinese firmware on it, so how come they could do it while I can't. Well to be honest I don't exactly remember the firmware which came installed but I know that it had Simplified Chinese, which is used not available in Hong Kong version. Anyhow, I have to get certain so I will try some new firmwares on it. May be you are right. Thanks any way.
Have you tried Kies initialization procedure? It should help you to determine your phone's factory firmware and even flash it if you wish.
Don't remember exactly location of this option in menu (don't have my laptop turned on now) but it was something about initialization and restoring in Kies menu. All you need is to enter your phone's serial number (located under battery or in setting menu) and model number (GT-i9300). Kies will check those data in Samsung database and ask what to do next, flash or not.
I don't know why but, sadly, it sometimes doesn't work with some models.
Problems with touchscreen while charging is due to unstable power source or faulty AC charger. Try charging with USB port in your computer and check if problem persists.

UK unlocked z5 conoact, enable WiFi calling ee

On the EE site it says WiFi calling is only enabled on phones bought from them directly however I bought an unlocked version so I can use it while traveling. But my house had no signal so I've been used to using WiFi calling on my older iphone. Is there a way to update the phone to whatever settings ee have put on their own phones ?
Yes, you can flash an EE firmware on your phone. Just search for Xperifirm and a guide how to flash a firmware from it.
From what I understand the newer versions of flashtool would automatically exclude the files that might simlock you phone again (like simlock.ta).
Thanks , if I lock the phone by accident can it be unlocked ?

Y6 Pro 2017 Dual SIM (SLA-TL10)

I hope someone can please help me with this, I've been given a Huawei phone to see if I can fix it. I'm completely new to Huawei phones, and this seems to be a particularly obscure model. In the about section in the settings menu, it's described as Huawei Y6 Pro 2017. It's a dual sim model, and the model number is SLA-TL10. Build number is SLA-TL10C636B140
When I google search for Huawei SLA-TL10, I find a completely different phone, and when I search for Y6 Pro, I find completely different model numbers.
It definitely has UK, or at least European, firmware, it has a full set of google apps including the play store.
Most of the time it won't connect to a mobile network with either SIM slot. Sometimes it does, but only when there's a 2G network available. For instance it will connect to EE with a E signal, it will detect a giffgaff (O2) signal but won't get a data connection, and it doesn't detect 3 network at all.
I can't find enough out about this phone to establish if this is likely to be a firmware problem, or if I should skip straight to opening the thing up and seeing if one of the antennae isn't connected properly.
It doesn't look like the IMEI has become corrupt, it returns the correct IMEI numbers for both SIM slots. The baseband version does look a bit strange though, it just says 00006,00006 I'm not sure if that's normal?
Is it possible to do something similar to what I would do with a Samsung phone, where I would flash the baseband/modem file with odin? If so, how would I find the baseband file, and what would I use to flash it?
Thanks.
edit: I've been told now that it was bought in Hong Kong, so I guess the firmware is international English? It defaults to English when I factory reset it.

Question "TMB" or "USC" for unlocked phone?

What are the "TMB" and "USC" in the "Update info" links?
They're both US unlocked.
doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-S918U1/TMB/doc.html
doc.samsungmobile.com/SM-S918U1/USC/doc.html
They correspond to the CSC (Consumer software customization) determined by your SIM card. If you're on T-Mobile, you will see TMB. If your'e on US Cellular, you'll see USC. On an Unlocked U1 phone, there may be carrier specific changes with an update.

And if someone changes their service, can the old updates that were for the old carrier pose a potential problem now that they're with the new carrier and receiving their updates?
When you remove the old SIM card and insert the new one, it will ask you to restart to apply the correct settings for your carrier. The SIM does the work for you.

I assumed that was just changing the APN and changing the carrier settings. But it actually undoes old updates and reinstalls them?
No. Every firmware and update has CSCs built in. It doesn't revert the software, it just activates features specific to your carrier (based on SIM). It's a partition of sorts.

1) So when one switches from carrier one to carrier two, what happens to all the past updates that are associated with carrier one?
2) If the SIM card is removed and a new one isn't inserted (for instance if one's upgading to a new phone), will the future updates be "generic"? (Obviously when the old phone is in one's home with a wifi connection.)
1. Each U1 software update contains all US carrier CSC partitions. If you update from A7 to A8, and change SIM cards, you'd remain on A8, but the CSC partition switches to the new carrier. There is never any rolling back, merely switching from one partition to another.
2. If you remove the SIM, your phone updates using the previously set CSC. If you used a T-Mobile SIM, it stays on TMO. The default CSC on U1 is XAA and there's little reason to go back to it, though it can be done with certain tools.
