download mode is not software specific

that mode will be available till time your phone dies or gets transformed to paper weight

You're ****ting me.
even if you were dumb enough to flash a bloody hero rom, you should be able to get into recovery unless they implemented a hero recovery into it.
get odin, put your phone in dl mode and run it, flash a new recovery.
Search the forums
Can you put your phone in download mode? Because if you can you can just reflash a stock rom from samfirmware.com onto it using Odin.
This thread may help you in reflashing a stock firmware:

I hope you manage to fix it
In future stick to roms made for your model only

You should use odin, and reflash a stock ROM.
And you're posting this in the wrong section.

it stoped here! i cant open my phone to connect with odin!
You have tried to 1) Remove you're battery 2) Re-insert it and press Vol+, Vol-, Home button & power-on button at the same time?
And if this don't work... I heard of a method with a Usb plug to access download mode on some phones... but you'll have to buy a plug, it's about 4$ on ebay

Install Kies and across the top, find the tools bar and it will bring a dropdown menu, just select emergency firmware recovery or something like that. Alternatively you can boot into download mode and flash the firmware via odin. If you don't know what that is, stick with the kies method

Congratulations, it's a brick!
Take the phone to a service center, let them try to JTAG it. It it won't work, they'd have to replace the main board.

If you are unable to get into recovery or d/l mode, it's a brick for sure.
Only JTAG or main board replacement will fix it

Dude had the same issue on my galaxy S2 and resolved it. You dont need the backup. I downloaded the
The .pit file for my gt-i9100g (http://data.hu/get/4697903/omap4_all_20110627_emmc.pit)
The stock ROM from sammobile. (http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=13292)
The JB Bootloader. (I downloaded the stock by Ryuinferno)
The stock JB kernel.
Opened odin v1.85.
Then i used the vol down+home+lock keys together to try to open the download mode ( but ended up in the "Firmware error " page) and connected phone to the pc. It shows "Added!" in the message box.
Repartition with the .pit and it will reboot.
Disconnect
Get into download mode and install the bootloader and it should reboot when done. Disconnect.
Get into download mode and connect
Installed the kernel through odin and reboot
Download mode again and install the ROM through odin.
If the phone gets stuck in boot loop (samsung logo over and over),
get into recovery mode ( for s2, vol up+home+lock, it needs to be pressed intermittently)
Then do a full format along with wipe cache.
And then the phone finally booted completely. . Good Luck.
Note: I'm not sure to boot into recovery and download are the same key combos as it was for the i9100g.
tried but i died

my s3 being restarted even in download mode and not let me use odin....
because the time remaining in download mode is like 8 seconds
any ideas?
Very difficult to help you because you haven't given any useful information.
My best guess is your battery is dead or your power button is faulty.

[Q] Bricked my Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830i)

Hello,
I tried to reinstall a custom rom but I forgot to install it with CWM so it was installed with the default Android recovery. After the ZIP was installed I rebooted my phone but now it doesn't get any further than the Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830i logo. I tried to boot in recovery and download mode but both of them doesn't work. I hope some of you can help me. I bricked my phone before but then I could get into download mode but now I don't.
Thanks a lot

Try the following guide to see if you can force open Download Mode through odin mode. Here is the link,
How to unbrick Samsung Galaxy Ace
This guide was meant for Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 and hence the Download Mode key combination is different. So make sure the change the Download Mode key combination to your own device. If you can force open the Download Mode this way, then you can try installing the stock rom. Do post the result. Hope I Helped

As you can't enter the Recovery Mode and Download Mode, you have pretty much hard-bricked your phone. Since the above method didn't work, then you can try the USB Jig (not always guaranteed to work). If USB Jig did work, then it will force open the Download Mode so you can flash stock rom back using odin. If USB Jig doesn't work either, then your last option is to consult the Service Center. Do post the result. Hope I Helped

Thanks a lot! I can get my phone in download-mode now by pressing volume up and down plus the lock key. Normally it's lock key plus home button plus the volume down key but that didn't work but this did!! I can't say how much I should thank you! You saved my life.
