Lexar 32GB MicroSD - HTC Rezound

Thinking of getting one of these.
http://www.buy.com/prod/lexar-media...high-capacity-microsdhc-1-card/217278686.html
Anyone have one or ever used Lexar?

I have not used a Lexar SD card but still have a Lexar 1gb flash drive that I've had for many years and it's still kicking.

Do it, Lexar is a good company.

ordered one of these off amazon. reviews seem accurate

I have been using one of these in my Evo4G for the past 6 mos, and it has been flawless. Can't wait to use it in my new Rezound that should be here this week!

been tryin to get possible results. formatted with win at 64k allocation unit size but idk if 32k will be better or if I should just let the phone format it?

[Q] 32GB micro SD card issues

I have 2 kingston 32gb micro SD card i purchased in advance for my EVO 3D and my Xoom. I put it in my 3D and it detected and mounted the card. i then plugged the 3D into my computer as a drive and copied over photos, music, and a couple of movies. I unplug the phone from the computer, and EVERYTHING disappeared. I formatted the card, did it again, and ran scan disk and defrag before i unmounted from my computer. same effect. Anyone else experiencing this?
No problems with my PNY 32 gb. I have never formatted the card either, but maybe try formatting the card from within the phone's menu, or you got bum cards.

good point I didn't think about that. Also if he got them on ebay good chance they're fakes. I remember reading that the fakes spoofed having 32 gigabytes but just wrote over the same 4gb of space over and over.
Hmm, my Kingston 32 GB class 10 that I paid an exorbitant amount from Newegg has not failed. But it has failed to give me class 10 speed. More like a fictional class 8.
Kingston memory is considered pretty high quality in the desktop memory market.

Yeah i saw a video that a guy who literally scraped off the paint of supposedly 16gb micro sd card and it turned out to be only 1gb
test it with H2testw 1.4 to see if its fake might take a while but it will tell you if the sd card is corrupted and that it is fake

I bought them online for $36 each. They read and write fine in the card reader. And the phone shows the capacity at 29.96GB. I formatted with phone menu and it stored what i saved with the phone (pics and stuff). But when i transferred from the computer to the card while it was in the phone, I got a mounting error and everything i copied was gone...

36 seems fako to me. cheapest i've seen in the pny one that just came in stock on newegg for 56bucks (class 10). Luckily, I got a discount so it was 50bucks. But yeah, try a namebrand card maybe?

Yes, this Kingston class 10 was going to replace my Sandisk 32 class 2 (which did class 6 speed). Now, I just might return it.
Lots of disparity between claimed and actual performance with these cards in either direction. My guess is it isn't worth the cost to test on the production line, they just write off the occasional RMA.

So yeah, this is a fake. What happens is the fake SD Card maker runs dd on a very small SD Card so that it gets up to the size. If you configure dd you can make it loop over the drive so you can set the drive's size pretty easily. You end up with a card that will basically only hold a small amount of data but looks like it can handle much more.

Yeah, I use my Micro SD 8GB in the SLR at times to shoot 1080p/24 which is supposed to need class 8 due to 30MB/s writes, and I've never had an issue with it.

That's the one I ordered, which should come today. Not really going to help this guy out since the card is out of stock.
It was back in stock on Monday, on Tuesday I looked and it was sold out.
On a lot of these 32GB Class 10 microsdhc cards - I read a lot of mixed reviews citing general Android incompatibility? I've read a lot of comments calling it an "industry wide" compatibility issue with Android. Has anyone had problems with a class 10 card - knowing that it came from a reputable source?
That's honestly the one thing that's kept me from pulling the trigger on a 32GB class 10 card. I wanted to hear that people were successfully using these types of cards in an EVO 3D with speed critical applications like recording and viewing HD video.
Good to know that certain cards are having issues.
No problems with the SanDisk 32gb card I bought from amazon 3 months ago other than the price dropped $30 immediately after I bought it.
Swyped from my Atari 2600 3D
I was thinking about getting the Patriot Memor LX microSD 32GB Class 10.
Reviews are mixed but it has their, what seems to be covered by their horrible Customer Service for 5 years. Patriot does make good computer memory so I can only hope it will be good.
I just bought a 32gb class 10 PNY card today from Best Buy and its not recognized by my 3D or my wives G2.

Will the new SanDisk 32GB Mobile Ultra Class 6 microSDHC card work in the EVO 3D?

I bought a SanDisk Mobile Ultra 32GB Class 6 microSDHC-I card from Best Buy on sale for $34.99 with free shipping. I'm still waiting for it to arrive. Now I just read that it may not work with the EVO 3D. Can anyone tell me whether this is true on not? It says it's "compatible with most devices with microSDHC card slots." There is also a review by someone with a Galaxy SII and they say it works fine. I don't know if that means its fine with the EVO 3D or not. I was really looking forward to receiving this card but now I'm afraid of opening it and finding out that it doesn't work and not being able to return it because it's opened.
Here's the link to the product page:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/SanDisk...bolsp-app02-24?id=1218427115873&skuId=3695074
I included a pic of the card from Best Buy's website so you know which one I'm talking about.

You shouldn't have any problems with it. I'm currently using a 32GB class 10 card without any problems in my Evo 3D.
The only way to find out is to try. Otherwise, you can just sell it to a buddy.
Sandisk mobile ultra 32gb
it does work.
Yeah, the only incompatibility issues would be microsdHC, but the phone runs sdHC cards well. The one it comes with is sdHC.

I started this thread and meant to come back to it to answer that the card does work and it's nice & fast. Things definitely seem to load faster on the phone and files transfer to and from my laptop faster than my SanDisk class 4 8gb card and my SanDisk class 6 16gb card. SanDisk is the only brand I buy when it comes to SD & microSD cards. The Best Buy website said this one was class 6 but its actually a class 10. It says so on the SanDisk packaging. I like the card a lot and I think $35 was a good price.
And yes it does come with an adapter to make it the size of a regular SD card. I never use it though because I don't take the card out of the phone once I put it in.

I just use a charge/sync cable so I don't have to turn my phone off, take it out of the case, take the battery door off, take the battery out, remove the card, use the adapter to put the microSD card in my laptop, transfer files and then put it all back together, all while potentially missing texts because my phone is off. But to each his own, I guess. lol I checked the link I posted and as of last night, the card was on sale for $39.99 and I think it said free shipping. Just a heads up in case you're interested. I definitely recommend it!

Good to hear it worked!
I honestly think SanDisk is better, but here in Canada, that card is barely available, and I can only find them for over $100!
I bought my Lexar card since it was a boxing day special. Originally $100, got it for about $40.
Can't really go wrong, as long as it works, right? (;

I don't think the Evo supports a 64 GB card.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I read the limit was 32 GB somewhere.
It should work, because the EVO 3D supports microSDHC up to 32 GB. And there can't be much different to ANY other SDHC card.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
I actually heard they do, you must format it IN the phone, under settings/storage. This is regarding the 64GB one.
FWIW I've used the 32 and have the 64 in my 3d now. Both have worked perfectly fine. With the 64 I formatted in win7 after installing a small util app from the SanDisk website.

Just thought I would post here since people still post and read:
I have 2x 8GB and 2x 16GB Sandisk Mobile Ultra Class 10 (UHS-1) MicroSDHC cards, they have so far been the FASTEST performing cards in terms of raw READ/WRITE and IOPS, if you format them properly for your use (I have one of my setup's listed in my signature), they are REALLY worth it!
Sandisk is now coming out with Extreme Pro editions which are a step above the Mobile Ultra, I cannot wait to have enough to buy one to test it for myself!
Sandisk and Kingston have always been the kings when it comes to memory... Kingston just wins with PC memory as well

[Q] 16GB or 32GB?

Hi guys,
I'm wondering what most people have 16 or 32. I haven't pulled the trigger yet, I'm coming from a nexus S and my phone gets full sometimes, I have to remove some apps.
Difference is now, I will be on MVNO, I will be relying more on Wifi but I will still have many apps installed but I doubt I will be downloading a lot.
I just dont want to run out of space also, any advice from current owners?
After experiencing the space-pain of the Evo OG, I opted for the 32GB based on the assumption that it's only a bit of a premium for the internal storage versus purchasing 32GB micro sdhc card for space. Expecially given the sketchy nature of A2SD support for so many of the apps I use. That said, I will definitely be wiping the 16GB class 10 in my Evo OG and putting that sucker in the GS3 when mine arrives.
Whatever I can get my hands on.

You can get the 16GB and buy a 32GB or 64GB SD card. That is more than enough memory for me.
I've gone for the 16G for cost.
I already had a 32G card plus you can watch movies using a usb stick so that's plenty for me.
Pep
I pre ordered the 16 gig at first but then realized might as well get 32 for 50 bucks more so I canceled first order and got 32 gig. If you plan on having this device for a while, might as well go for the best.

No need to include a micro sd with the internal memory. My Inspire, for example did come with one, but only because there was very little internal memory.
I'm assuming you mean because of the varying internal storage. My DX has 16 GB internal and still came with an SD card. Only reason I asked. I didn't think twice about it before ordering my class 10 32GB lol.

No everything is internal storage. I've heard that the internal storage is pretty fast so unless you are gonna buy a class 10 you might be better paying for more internal storage too. I didn't have that option on ATT. However I bought the Samsung 32gb class 10 card. Check slick deals, they were 29 shipped from beach camera on ebay. I was going to be extremely picky on who I get my sd card from but they have thousands of flawless reviews and seem to be a great vendor, and it wasn't one of those too good to be true prices, so I bit considering that was the card I wanted anyway. I'll test the speeds out when it gets here.

Sounds to be a problem with the phone, or you got ripped off on both failing SD cards.. Are they dead 'dead'? Non working in a card reader connected to a pc?
I got my 8 GB class 10, used it in my S2 and my S. Working flawlessly in my S3.
You didn't buy a cheap card or fake one from ebay did you? I've had a cheap card fail on me before (transcend) but it wasn't in the s3. I've got a SanDisk extreme now and it's been very reliable so far. Worth the extra money I think

Ye I would echo this, cheap cards either "branded" or no name are usually open to fail after a few weeks / month I use a rule of thumb if the price in a retail shop is for arguments sake £1/$1 per gig and im buying online any thing more than 50% cheaper and its probably a dodgy poor quality card or so old its only class4 but seller isn't being honest.
You have to watch Amazon as well as those virtual warehouse peeps like to send crap cards out in place of quality you expected happened a few times. Now I stick to class 10 Sandisk Extream cards as others have mentioned never had a problem since and I can use them in my DSLR or any other device that needs high speed and stability.
If OP tries a sandisk and it still kills the card then you probably have a faulty card connector in the phone shorting the cards out.
And again I've been using my 64gb card for over 2 months now

You haven't actually said what was wrong with the card, it could be that a chkdsk could have fixed it. Had this problem myself twice with CM9 and a CM10 ROM as they dont have support of exfat and they corrupted my card. However I fixed the partitions easily in windows using a micro SD converter by simply running chkdsk.
I bought a genuine 32GB class 4 SanDisk MicroSD.
After about 2 months in my S3 it started continuously mounting/dismounting, then becoming write protected, then not being seen by the phone / computer, I ended up sending it back. Don't know if the card was faulty or the phone 'destroyed' it..
I've had a very similar experience with OP.
My S3 already killed 2 cards and I'm on my 3rd.
The cards are all genuine.
1st one was a patriot 16gb class 10.
2nd was 32gb SanDisk class 10/1.
The problem is that after a while the card would constantly mount/dismount.

did it just not appear when browser or did you get errors randomly telling you it had dismounted?, were you able to remount and it worked or did it not then mount at all. Did you try to repair by chkdsk /f /r format etc?. I ask this is what mine did after installing a non exfat ROM.
