Please Help Me..........
I bought one smartphone Star X15i made in china with MTK6573 CPU.
Why ? Because I'm french and I have now I have two Sim Cards and I want one phone under Android with Dual Sim capabilities. ( Can't find it in France :-( )
Is not the best phone in the world, but it's enough for me for every basics days
So, After install all my applications, and working well... I want make the device better ;-)
I add one file in /system/etc to make better the capture media ( media_profiles.xml ) but after the first reboot my X15i stay with bootanime on the screen
I tried to clear the flash by starting the X15i by this:
- Remove batterie
- Push Power button and Down Volume
- release the Power button when sceen show me, the first screen
- Stay on Down button until menu come.
After I have one menu with:
- Full Test
- Item Test
- Test Report
- Clear Flash
- Version
- Reboot
I performed one "Clear Flash" with hope the memory will be realy clean but nothing... After that the boot stay on first screen :-(
So my question is: how make one hard reset with reset factory ?
Somebody know where I can find the Rom for the Star X15i ?

But now I have one other problem
My computer (try with 2 computer ) see the X15i only one second and after the X15i goto in charge, so the Flash Tool have not enough time to see the device :-(

First step unbrick your X15i

I did all according to the instructions, other than that I only installs first driver , second, third and fourth I do not know how (Windovs 7 32bit). For the first time I did not make because I forgot to turn on USB mode, the other is all well done, but phone does not turns on. Maybe it's because I not proper installed drivers? Or becoue I mut have RTP file for 2.3.6. android? I dont know what i doing wrong!

In order (very important):
1) remove battery and unplug usb
2) clic Download on Flash Tool
3) plug USB and just after put battery
4) Normaly Flash Tools will start to download the rom.
If Flash tools don't start after 20 seconds, Clic on Stop button and restart at step 1)
Courage, sometime this procedure don't run at the first time
I do it all, and download is success, but phone still not turn on. Did I need another Rom?

I made this guide because you know, when we buy a new phone in this case at Telcel, Motorola RAZR comes with all the bloatware (IAPPS, itelcel, messager, plugger, etc.) and Customization upset that sometimes wont let exploit our device. (In my case I like to be so) to whether that hope you like the help and any questions will serve in the post greetings!
1 .- Make a backup of the ROM Telcel this for one day need to send a warranty or something, this is done as follows:
1.a) First you must have your device with Root Access that can do so by following the steps in this link:

2.a) You need to download RSD LITE V5.6 utility and install it:

Note that this ROM is Portuguese for Brazil but left for Mexico device can easily change the language, I select this ROM because that triggered the European Semi-brick me and this is what Telcel used (with due changes) .
UPDATE
3. this requires patience and calm, do the following
3.a) RSD Lite initialize this to the desktop with the following icon

3.h) Verify your RSD LIte with the next screen and Click the start button

Do not be scared is normal, is the RAZR Boot-loader in RSD LITE screen will start the timer, at the end will have the Brazilian ROM on your device without bloatware from Telcel in Spanish and the most current ROM.
I dont know if this method works for Razr's from other companies.

hi carlos as i tell in the first post my change the rom of my device at the first day. i dont like telcel rom´s but in the brazilian rom i dont test the bluetooth audio serivce i will test it and i will post you a response good luck!!

hi carlos as i tell you i check the audio from bluetooth with the "motorola s9 normal headphones" and the razr, the phone calls was excellent and the controls work (hang up, hang off, vol+, vol-, voice command), at music it sounds great but they have a few lags ( i think is because the buffer than razr had to make to send data package to the headphones) the quality of the music was excellent at 10mts of distances, at internet radio i had listened Universal stereo @ 48k mp3 from source and the quality works great and i have less lags than my music stored on my device i hope that information helps you greetings!!

I tried flashing this rom on a XT910 from Claro Puerto Rico, now i am stock on bootloop... any suugestions?
Edit: Since i was in a boot loop, i accesed the stock recovery, did a wipe data/factory reset and VIOLA!!! Up and running!

There is NO solution to unlock marketplace! Because WE DON'T NEED IT. Just ask for activation code and thats all, I got mine in 5 minutes from USA MS Support Chat.
Somebody could confirm that installs apps hangs? For me it works, but installs so long.

i have had this fix on from when it came out so yesterday and up until now so signal dropping or anything it works !!!!!

noting need to check/uncheck on tg downloader. just put to dl mode= power off or battery pull out. press and hold cam then press and hold power button= white led
then select the wp7boot.bin and press start download .........
WHY you not use the method from QUIN ........ its safe, you have nothing to ersae and blabla .......

first flash a 0321 Radio rom, standard with ssdl method.
then cam + power to dl mode. then over tg downloader flash the wp7bootloader.
now you have the wp7bootloader. press cam + power= blue led. Install common downloader, install acer driver. select multi download, with browse select
the three files ifrom same folder : flash.bin (wp7 rom), NPRG8650.hex and partition.mbn. check it with advanced .... go to refresh and select start all wait 25 min= wp7

there's an app called "UNDELETE" in the market which recovers deleted files ....
if you're lucky enough then i think you can get back those images

In the framework-res.apk, check out the files starting with "progress" in res/drawable-hdpi. I believe those pngs are used for both the volume bars and any progress bars (like for downloads). I know they control the latter, but I believe they also control what you're referring to. Worth a shot either way.
That progress res/drawable are showning only while installing and downloading not on changing volume and etc

Try Installing Titanium Back up and press menu then use the Market Tools option select Market Doctor. Run that and it should Fix your problems!!

as i said to your own post the other day it was impossible for us to recover your files because you galaxy tab use MTP or Media Transfer Protocol so there is no recovery software that would work on MTP because it is one of his biggest drawback

I got a new phone that is purely for gaming, so I rooted it, got xrecovery, CWM, and installed a ROM called CM-X. I installed CM-X and it wouldn't boot. I have a recovery, which is ****ed. I don't have debugging on now for some reason. So my question is, how can I flash my phone to normal? I have everything to flash it. But no debugging = no flash. Please I need help, thank you all.

2 Connect the phone and the driver is installed but one that fails
We lower the 3rd AdbDriverInstaller , open it and give to install and wait for it to install. takes 2-3 minutes)
Now lower the 4th Root ICS Unlocker 1.0 and decompress
5th Then hit ICS_Root_Unlocker and will get a screen of msdos, now press a button and you restart the phone and the display of msdos you will leave press any key to continue (do not turn to light up the phone completely), pressing and restarts again and again will leave you press a key to continue (and as before do not turn to light up the phone completely).
That depulsa 6th key to continue and you wait for a restart to give 4O5 Ships times have patience!

I couldn't find any ROMs sadly and reading thru some Spanish forums there is an unofficial older CWMod version but left it alone in the end as I struggled a little the language!
In the end i rooted using ICS Unlocker (easy), and jelly beaned up the ICS ROM with the JB Camera, Dialer and Holo hd launcher, beats audio and a few other zip or apk tweaks.
After a few hours of tweaking, I am very happy with the final result - for £60 its a total bargain!!
PS. Once rooted download and install Root Uninstaller (Green Robot version) and get shot of those chinese apps.
PPS. I also installed the Custom Locale (Flag icon version) app from the store which allows you to set English UK rather than the default US version and also allows you to subsequently update the the spell check and voice search accordingly and I also installed the latest Google keyboard for the swipe functionality.

i need change default save location of app ... because app2sd see sd the internal 4gb .. and not microsd ..

hmm.. same problem here and app2sd apps dont help. tooky camera wont shoot and gives SD-kaart vol (in dutch) while storage in settings gives 6 of the 8 gig is free.
wonder if its firewal antivirus or some illigal app i'm using, even looking for a reroot, but hey, same problem you report!
i;m puzzeld and wonder, wonder who knows and what to do? cymera camera app i got from play store does shoot AND save fotos on sd

PLEASE HELP, I have the Haipai N6 N7889 6" phone and yes its a clone but it is a fantastic phone but I need your help, I changed the rom and magically my IMEI went bye bye!! I've used every method known to man, and what I found out that I need my original rom. Now NONE OF THE METHODS ON THIS FORUM WORK!! I'VE TRIED THEM AND OTHERS AND THEY DON'T WORK!! I need the original rom or a rom that someone has used and THEY KNOW FOR A FACT THAT IT WORKS!! I am tired of people posting stuff they haven't tried and wasting my time. I am thankful for the advise but I am tired of people not knowing if stuff is working and posting that it worked on windows 7 or their friends computer and not sure if it did. Please help I really need my phone and no I can't get another. Thanks for the real help!!

The problem is that most people don't have a Haipai phone and they are giving you advice based on their own experience. I know it is frustrating when it doesn't work, but please remember that they mean well. Most manufacturer's have firmware on their websites, so that is the place I would look...sorry if this isn't true for Haipai...you know how it is

Yes and I am thankful for the advise, I have fixed other phones from here and thanked the people for the help. I need my phone and its frustrating that I can't seem to get it fixed. Do you know the Haipai website because when I google it, I can't seem to find it.

I tried using SN writer several times. I installed MTK USB drivers, and I followed the following steps:
1. turned off my mobile
2. connected my mobile to PC.
3. run the SN writer
4. click start
5. enter IMEI number
6. remove the battery and insert it again, while USB cable is connecting my device to PC
7. I got the following messages and writing IMEI failed, as the device came from factory without writing IMEI on it.

Ok I downloaded the roms xsenman suggested and one of them is kind of working. I used sn station tool to write imei back on my phone and I got the green light BUT STILL INVALID IMEI!! I tried mk droid tool no luck. I'm all ears on the next step.

Hi, man! I know how to repair it!
--Download an Engineer Menu for MTK in play market.
--Then enter it.
--Then follow the menu :
"CDS Information> Radio Information> Phone 1"
--In the top row , after writing and enter AT + EGMR = 1,7, »YOUR_IMEI_PHONE1».
--Confirm your selection by pressing the SEND AT COMMAND.
--Then be sure to reboot device!
--Write commands separately for each SIM card .
that's all!!
