Up to 32gb - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

Will the att note support my 64gb card. I see it says uptown 32gb on the price sheet posted in another thread

pretty sure people have reported 64gb working in N7000 even though specs for it said 32

Yeah i have one in mine but Im not sure it will work in the att phone with different chipware

It says that it supports up to 32gb because 64gb micro sd is barely on the market.

it should support it as my skyrocket does and the spec sheets only say 32

Yes, but they have been reported to work on nearly all 2011 phones. Don't see any reason why they wouldn't work here.

The microsd socket may support microSDXC like all other GS2 models do. But the native Android OS does not support exFat the microSDCX cards should be formatted. But for most 64GB microSDXC cards out there, they all are formatted as fat32 for compatibility reasons. But in the future, when bigger cards come out (microSDXC can reach 2TB capacity) and are formatted as exFat, they will not work.
microSDHC, the current standard, tops out at 32GB.
microSDXC, the new standard, starts at 64GB all the way to 2TB.

good find. its also on amazon.
I'm using that one and it works great
I actually just got this and must say it's wonderful to have so much space. Great price for a 32GB MicroSD card. Now, lets hope 64GB cards become cheaper!
Yea I checked on some higher class 32GB cards and the prices were outrageous, I run a Class 4 8GB from sandisk now so it will be a huge leap! Do our phones support 64GB?

And it sees the full amount? Just checked a few sites on specs and they say only up to 32GB, then again you can never know what is true or not. Most sites just say supports microSD card.

That's probably because they did not have 64g cards to test with when they started making the phone
I have one of these. Their awesome and super dependent. I sold my old iPod Touch 32gb , bought one of these and use my GSII as my music player and I made $100 so it realllllllly helps

Yeah, I read that since the 64GB were primarily exFAT formatted, they wouldn't work initially but after a format to FAT32 it worked perfectly. So after the price goes down (or when the 128GB cards come [we need em now XD]) I'll definitely get one.
Well thats good to know for future reference, really I only need this card for movies. All my music streams from the cloud, and I am not a huge picture taker, this will be my main card for quite awhile =D will wind up using it on my note or note 2 (or whatever they will call it) whenever I get that, well 64GB get to this price then maybe I will upgrade =P Still baffles me that you can fit 32GB on a fingernail size piece of plastic =P

[Q] microSD and/or microSDHC ?

I was wondering does microSDHC also goes into Prime or just microSD ?
anyone knows any cheapest vs. fastest (and to be 16GB) microSD cards ?
Well considering sd tops out at 2gb and sdhc at 32gb I'd say sdhc... Unfortunately its not sdxc which has a theoretical limit of 2T as in terabytes

You can't go wrong with SanDisk. Class 10 is their latest/fastest speed.
If you want to save money, find yourself a Class 6 which is the next one down. I purchased a Class 6 64GB micro-card from a Best Buy sale for $49. I'm sure there are similar sales online though I don't think Best Buy is doing it anymore.
Search for them on Amazon, lots of results!
Make sure the phone can handle a 64gb card before shelling out for it. I don't know the microsd slot spec on the GS3.

Whatever you buy, buy from a reputable seller (thousands of reviews not a few hundred) and not just on price. There are a lot of fake cards being sold. I bought a 32g SanDisk that was a fake, and it was only 8gb no matter what the card read as. The size can be fooled.
That said, I have not tried the latest SanDisk cards, but I have a SanDisk 32 class 6, and a Lexmark 32gb class 10. The Lexmark comes with a much nicer and more substantial usb adapter, the SanDisk came with the smallest utilitarian usb adapter. Both can be put on a key chain. I use the faster Lexmark in the phone. I find the usb adapter better than a sd card adapter which I tend to misplace, as well as being useful in computers without a sd card slot.

SanDisk 64GB Ultra MicroSDCX
I've heard nothing but good things about this card. It's pretty much top of the line too.
It's class 10 and UHC class 1. It's advertised as class 6 just because they haven't updated the web page, I emailed the seller.
It handles the 1080p video recording due to the fast read/write speeds.
shock resistant, water resistant (I think, go to sandisks website to view all the awesome details).
Anyways, this is definitely the card I'm getting. They offer a 32GB version as well, but that may be only class 6 (still probably plenty of speed).

[Q] SD Card Options

Hello
Just purchased the 16GB variety XZT. I went with this model because of the onboard option of expansion. However, I have never done this with any device I have owned. Does someone have a recommendation of a card that will work properly with the XZT. Thanks in advance!

SanDisk ultra still considered to be one of the best. I have 32gb version almost 3 yrs with no issues . Lexar makes a decent one also but I have personal knowledge.

Samsung's honestly. Faster than the comparable class# sandisk, even when used in a phone, (the difference is even more pronounced on PC) and I have seen reports of sandisk failures. (But that may just be a artifact of the total # of cards). I've had my samsung UHS 1 since launch. Works great.
