Yes - the port on the HTC Rezound is a MHL port. It is a Micro-USB and Micro-HDMI port in one. So either will work.
My phone overheated using an aftermarket micro usb that works on my thunderbolt so I would stick with HTC micro usb cables

Yes, you can use a regular micro-usb.
Be careful, I had trouble with a USB power adapter that I used at work with a regular Micro-USB wire. The adapter caused the phone to be glitchy when using while plugged in.

what is the best wall charger for the evo 3D?

Just look for a charger that is rated at 1a or 1000ma. That's what the stock chargers are rated at. Lots of generic ones are only 500ma-750ma.

Some Nokia chargers are rated at 1.2 amps however i`m not really sure which model its from. It will charge faster but will decline the life of your battery. batteries are cheep anyways and you will still get about 400 cycles out of it using this charger.

I plugged in a 2A charger from my HP Touchpad and my E3D won't charge faster than 1.0amps
Question: I just found an iPad plug adapter is it safe to use it with a micro usb?

I'm looking more into something like this:
http://www.amazon.com/BlackBerry-Fa...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1331013200&sr=1-1
how about this? this is the flat style HTC OEM charger like the black berry charger,
just an older style still out put 1A rating, but a bit more bulky then the new HTC style
http://www.amazon.com/HTC-Adapter-C...7?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1331054878&sr=1-7

I have two of those and they work great. They were extras from my Touch Pro 1 and 2. I keep one at work and one in my drawer at home, for travel use and as a back up for a guest etc.

Perfect! I like how it goes downward instead of forward like the original 3D charger.

I've used a couple various chargers.. the best seems to be the stock wall charger..
The slowest seemed to be an apple usb plug with a MOTO cord, I can kill it faster than it will charge...
I also tried the wall charger that came with my cheap galilio batteries with a cord plugged into it, still seemed slow.and I couldn't get it to charge past 85%.. I haven't checked into the amps yet.... Might be a good idea LOL

the 85% thing is their cheap way of preventing over charging the battery without having to do a more expensive charging circuit

SGS3 stock Charger Destroys usb cables?

After a month with my SGS3, It suddenly acts dodgy. It would charge horrendously slow.
Well, at first i thought it was my stock cables so I replaced them with a flat-cord Micro USB cable that I bought at the local market. It was fine for a week then bam!!!! My second cable starts to act dodgy too.......well NOW it FREAKED me out cause i thought it was probably my phone that has problems cause it won't connect to my pc. after plugging it back to the AC, My phone recognizes it as "USB" and it will only charge @ 450 mA which is painstakingly slow....
Need some people who are also experiencing this and how they solved it, if they had.
I am currently on CM 10.1 and also tried OMEGA 34 but the problem persists. THANKS
On a side note:
Can we have a proper explanation as to why this happens in the stock sgs3 charger?
Does heat has anything to do with it? Because my usb cables sure is hot after a charge..
Well whatever it is, I hope for someone to give us some insight regarding this problem.
yep its true !
i replaced my charger
try contacting SC.
Might do so

Can you recommend me a good charger that charges this phone as fast as the stock charger?
I might skip the try contacting SC part.
1. It's a hassle
2. The SC here in my country is F***ed up!
3. I am rooted and ther is no way I can return to stock because of Destroyed cables! the nerve!
Change charger and cable. I had same issue. Samsung should look on it.

So with this many people having problems, Samsung should REALLY look into this as this is not a MINOR problem especially because THIS PHONE is a FLAGSHIP DEVICE. Mind them......this is bad for their reputation!

Strange thing is that I've never used the SIII charger. I upgraded from the SII and just kept using the charger from it, since it was already plugged in. Sometimes, laziness has it's benefits!

Lucky you. My stock usb cables are pretty much nothing but fried copper wires covered with rubber or with some sort of material.
My second cable was murdered too !!!!!!!! (Damn you stock SGS3 charger!!!!)
I might learn a thing from you or two.

Car Charger

I currently have this car charger:
http://www.amazon.com/PNY-P-P-DC-UF...fkmr2&keywords=usb+2.0+car+charger+pny+2.1amp
When I first got it, I shorted the pins to force it to charge in AC mode. Now that I know it is capable of 2.1amps and our phone can accept similiar amperage, will I need a micro usb 3.0 cable for it to charge at 2.1amps? Or will my old galaxy s3 usb 2.0 cable be able to charge it at 2.1 amps as well?
Bump for update

No, a USB 2.0 cable will charge at the same current as a USB 3.0 cable (1800mA with the screen turned off, 1200mA with it on).
If the max is only 1.8amp then why is our charger rated at 2amp?

Overhead.

Change the color to black and it's less than half the price. Isn't there an app that will tell you how much current it is drawing while charging?

I believe there is also a loss of energy during the transfer of energy. The process is not 100% efficient.
