For those that had been looking for the best chinese input for tablets like me. I finally found one after a month of searching and thought I should share it. They also have a phone specific version.
they have a phone and tablet version you can download the APK on this website. It is loads better than what you can find on the market.

It is my primary keyboard because it is english/chinese in one. I'm not sure about traditional characters so you may want to investigate the app or website.

I would appreciate a lot if you guys can give me some suggestion =)

I have owned the HTC tytn II before and i have bought the Touch Pro recently, I have browsed a lot of information on the forum and the only thing I've tried with my Kaiser was the Kaiser tweak.
There are a few questions i would like to ask if you guys can help me out
1. I am ordering the TP with 900/2100Mhz for WCDMA, I am currently studying in the US and will be moving to Hong Kong shortly, I wonder if 3G will work fine in HongKong?
2. Since i am from Hong Kong, sometimes i do use Chinese for various things and I would like Chinese to be supported by the phone as well. What is the best way to do it? I tried CE-star with kaiser with yahei.cab and it worked fairly well, but the music player from the touchflo interface can't recognize any of the Chinese song name at all. On the other side, i am looking at the possibility of installing Chinese Rom in the TP so i will be able to get Chinese support by the phone natively. On the other side, i really would like to have a English interface so is it possible to cook the ROM in the way that it is English UI and it supports Chinese at the same time?
Thank you for all you guys help. I have been browsing for a lot of stuff on this forum, but i really can't seem to find a solution for the 2nd question.
Check out this thread for ways to get Chinese support. The easiest way i would see it is that you install a Chinese ROM and have built-in support for it.
Which thread?
Ah, sorry about that, forgot to link that thread. Here it is.
Thanks a lot, that actually looks great to me!
By the way, a third question comes to my mind, is there a way to create a custom input method for Windows Mobile?
I would like to create a input for Windows Mobile such that inputing specific sequence of letters will give out specific list of words which i can choose from...using the keyboard
I am looking at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb158689.aspx but i have no idea what it is trying to say
There is no WCDMA 900/2100 network in the US, but you can still use the phone on regular GSM networks (AT&T or T-mobile).
I don't know the details but you should be able to use WCDMA 2100mhz in Hong Kong (3, CSL, PCCW, Smartone):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Deployed_UMTS_networks#Asia
However there has been some talk about China shutting down WCDMA networks to replace with its own TD-SCDMA networks, so there could be some problems.
For the MP3s, make sure they are properly tagged; Most PC software can read non-English tags even if they are encoded improperly, but the TouchFlo3D player is picky. The easiest way is to use ID3v2.4 tags with UTF-8 characters. A program like Tag&Rename will update all of your MP3s to use ID3v2.4 + UTF-8.
There is a little update to my current problem =) Just got my Touch Pro today and tried various things...
Displaying of Chinese is easy to be solved, basically various cabs can do the trick.
Inputting Chinese, however, is pain in my a$$
I've tried to install the hand writing way of inputting Chinese by different methods.
1.) When i used CE-star, everything worked, but when i use the TP with keyboard, all words mess up and i can't see anything i typed...(although it will show up again when the keyboard is closed...)
2.) When i tried the other cabs recommended in this thread, the Chinese input only work when installation of complete install of the input method, which means i cannot choose only the handwriting input. I will have to also add that if the handwriting input is chosen as default, it will crash the system and i will have to do a hard reset.
On the other side, if the complete install happened, i cannot type english thru my keyboard(not even numbers...)
Is there anyone who can help me with this?

[Q] Chinese LG Android help

was referred here from a reddit forum. i'll just post what I wrote there.
Living in China and I got an LG-P503 today. After turning it on I was seriously disappointed to see that the Marketplace is removed on the Chinese version. After searching around for the past 3 hours online I found that its pretty common, as well as the amount of people it pisses off, but I couldn't find a real working fix for it.
Here's what I've done so far:
* successfully rooted it
* tried several .apk's of the Marketplace and could never get them to load, even using MarketEnabler
* attempted to install the .apk's using Astro and Root Explorer (to manually put in the the app folder)
But now I'm wondering if I can just fix all of this by somehow putting the American version of the firmware on it. It would be great to get rid of all of the Chinese stuff too. Even if its set to English the keyboard always defaults to Chinese and all of the notification messages are in Chinese. I've read online that the P503 is the exact same as the P500. Can anyone recommend anything here?
No Market Solution
Hi.
Welcome to the forum.
You can read this thread for more details about ur problem.
Also, flashing a custom ROM which are unbranded will make ur problem go away.
i recommend getting the void rom or the Prime rom. they are both awesome, but i advise using prime first cause its a nice taste of the overclock. find it in the dev forums, but do not expect guides there: guides are in the general section (mostly)
Market has banned all chinese ip's, so its impossible. Thts wat i think
well i have market enabler installed and the biggest gripe is just that i want a market that is in english.
I'm nervous about custom roms. is there a way to install the american version or the uk version of the firmware? and if so where could i get that?

that is not the case. it seems only mobile version matters. I have a MB501 for T-Mobile and I can access Android Market, while I have no access to the Market with my LG P503.

[Q] How to enable Chinese Keyboard Input on Tab 10.1 USA?

Hi,
Just got my tab 10.1 but found that it has Chinese language display, Chinese voice input but no Chinese keyboard input. It does however have Korean keyboard input so it doesn't seem like a eastern language entering thing. My wife really needs chinese text input. What can I do? I spoke with Samsung tech support but nothing so far. I don't want to have to return this but my guess is that Asus/Acer tabs will have chinese input.
Any suggestions?
Pedroquien?
Just go get one of those Chinese input apps on the market such as MultiLing Keyboard. That's the one I use. Not bad. However, I haven't been able to find one with handwriting input that works on Honeycomb.
How well does this one work on Honeycomb with keyboard input?

i have tried several Chinese Keyboard Input on Android Tablet, the best IME is "Penpower for Tablet" from Market, but it cost USD 9.99. Another good choice is "sogouinput for android pad", you can find it from some Chinese website.

[Q] AOSP Keyboard Dictionaries

Hello.
I am facing a great problem with AOSP keyboard dictionaries. I am hoping to use AOSP keyboard with my own language (malay) and therefore I also require the spell check to work with it.
With my current Cyanogenmod ROM, I cannot seems to be able to correct any of my spelled Malay words; presumably, there aren't any dictionary of it.
Concerned, I tried to use France as the language, shocked, the spell-checker works with France. So, this made my guess about the missing dictionary a possible-true thing. Add-on dictionaries is "empty" and also I cannot find a way to add any dictionaries.
As I am rooted, are there any ways I can force add the malay dictionary?
I am thinking of finding the English UK dictionary and translate it by-hand (working hard for it) and then put it back onto the system. Anyone who can guide me with this?
Ironically, changing CM's main language into "Bahasa Melayu" or Malay seems to work. I am not so sure why it doesn't on AOSP keyboard.
One thing to note, please don't recommend me installing another keyboard. No, I just want to stick with the mighty low resource fast and trustful stock keyboard.
Device Specs for someone who needs it:
- Xperia SP C5303
- Cyanogenmod 11 Kitkat (which is 4.4.4) nightly
- of-course prerooted (it's CM)
Thank you so much in advance if you are looking forward to help me Have a nice day.
Hello. I understand that one would not automatically gets reply on the forums, but doesn't there be anyone who at least know little about this matter?
Bumping this up
Last bump before I bump again a month later
Bump!! Abandoned for a month but I really still need a workaround for this.
one last sweet bump
It is most likely that the AOSP keyboard just doesn't have that language built in and as most aosp apps are left for dead by Google it would take someone to manually add the code into the AOSP keyboard on the source level. Just because the the main language changes doesn't mean the keyboard has the language.

Is the Australian version International?

Hey! I'm looking into getting the Oppo Find X. I live on the UK and I realise that I can get it in Europe in France or something but it is €999 which is around £880. I did some digging and found I can import the Australian version because it's cheaper and is around £700. (Note I can only afford around £700 so please don't say just to import it from France anyway).
I would like to know if the Oppo Find X Australian version is basically the international version and if it comes with the following things...
1. Google Play Services
2. Ability to change launcher
3. If the Australian version is missing any features the Europe version has.
4. Will I receive notifications
Thank you and hope to get an Oppo Find X soon!
Hello. First, there's no really "international version" of this phone. You have Chinese version, Spanish version, french version, Australian version, etc.
They all are pretty much the same. The only one that is different is the Chinese version.
Regarding your question:
1) Yes
2) Yes
3) Don't think so, cause they are pretty much the same. What you will miss in all version, except Chinese version, is the navigation gestures. Oh, and the oppo change theme store. But if you're planning to use a third party launcher that won't affect you
4) Probably you will have to make some adjustments to get your notifications

Thank you so much! The navigation gestures not being there is kinda annoying but idm haha. Thank you and hopefully I can get the phone soon (going from Note 8)! Big help, thanks!
You're welcome!
I have the Chinese version and it's good. I'm very used to the navigation gestures so not having it in others version is very disappointed, but that's my opinion. And not having Spanish language is not good neither, but I use more locale and is good now.
This phone with stock Android would be the best phone ever.
Probably the worst thing about this phone is the notifications, not just having problem with receiving them, but I hate that they're not show in the status bar. You have to swipe down to see them...very annoying.
I'm using Australian version 128gb with vooc. I have both gestures, and theme store. We also have 256gb Super vooc and Lamborghini. I can't comment on them.
