As to the icons... I don't know if it'll be the same on ICS but here's what I did to pull some ADW icons into Rosie.
Thanks to rileyd5 for instruction to remove text which is how I found out I could change the icons in the same place.
You need Folder Organizer to do it this way.
Then press and hold on your homescreen and select widget.
Select FO Item - Folder Organizer
Choose Apps
Then find the one you want to change the icon of and press on icon.
Then go find the icon you want to change that one to.
Tap on the app and it will be on your desktop. Now you have to replace the one that's already there if there is one.
Unfortunately you have to do one at a time and even if you already have an icon for an app you have to make a new one and replace it, you can't just modify one that's already there.
I'm sure there must be an easier way...

There's a much easier way....visit the Themes section where some great people have painstakingly created icon sets and themes that have a wide variety of looks and functionality.
On the icon replacement there are a ton of apps out there. I suggest desktop visualizer only because there are a million and one icon packs already built for it.

Don't forget UOT Kitchen.

Yeah, I spent HOURS searching through themes one night and the ADW DigitalSoul icons are the ones for me. But I have to have the sense clock I'm using. I did grab desktop visualizer a while ago and never really looked through it... I'll check it out.
Anyway... Don't want to make this thread about me. Well actually I do, but...

It's a fun/good topic to have an open discussion about who uses what and to what benefit it is. I themed as much as I can without tearing apart market apps so that their in app fonts match what I want.

If you don't mind switching ROMs, this is what I did (and I'd suggest this ROM anyway since it's so smooth) in order to get the AOSP notification bar at the top. You can find the thread here where I detailed instructions. Essentially, though, I used Joelz ICS Sense Redefined. I then pushed the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk from his Senseless ROM. It works perfectly. I now have a Sense ROM that looks like Senseless. And I did get confirmation from him that it won't break anything since they both use the same framework and System base.

Let me know what else you might like to see themed.
Can u theme the lock screen?
Sent from the Unstoppable SuperStreak!
probably, its all in framework-res.
what do you want the honeycomb lockscreen? try ripple lock in the market. Its not too bad actually, except his lock icon is b0rked, cut off at the top.
what did you have in mind?
post a link..
edit: who uses a lock screen? just kidding, I have NoLock, I love it.
but really, I have the honeycomb font on my lockscreen using fontchanger, and custom sliders and tabs made with UOT Kitchen. Thats all I can do for themeing.
If you want a different stlye lockscreen that would have to coded/ported. I would say try lockscreen widget etc. or use NoLock.

I have NoLock, free in market..
just kidding, be back soon
here's my lockscreen..
the jog tabs and circles are in framework-res, so let me know what ROM you're running, and I could drop them into a stock ROM, you can get the ones I have on UOT Kitchen. Or if you have a custom framework-res, and want soemthing different you would have to upload yours and let me know what you have in mind. Font can be easily changed with fontchanger, just change clocktopia, I can up load th HCfont if you cant find it.
I have 1.9.1. How did u get the dell logo as wallpaper. I will have to gobto uot cause I have a custom framework.
Sent from the Unstoppable SuperStreak!
It's prob just a standard wallpaper, you can prob just rip it right out of the package and just select it like any other wallpaper
Edit: actually it's not included, you could ask him to post the orig if you wanna use it
found it buried in google images
here you go:
Wallpaper cropped for portrait. More here

I tried UOT kitchen, but the lockscreen tweaks seems to change only the sliders , cant get the others to work
are u able to do it?
what are you trying to change the circle icons inside the jog tabs? choose lockscreen icons in kitchen.. but there is only about 4 currently.
have you tried to theme the Stock Sms app?
having a nice dark blue Honeycomb like theme would be pretty nice.
sure I'll try messaging, I didn't think anyone used stock messaging

Thanks! What else can you theme then? It would be cool to be able to mess with Google Voice messaging and Google Talk... Theme it in color sets.
The UOT is so nice to use, but I'm not sure how you are doing the system files. I know that there is some write ups re setting Phone and Contacts.apk as transparent. Haven't gotten that to work on Streak 5 yet though. Seems to be Nexus specific.
after messing with white menu text all day, no luck.. long story, anyways next I will do a HC Messaging app and try to update my HC Framework.
I dont use Google Voice or GTalk much, so not likely from me.

Hello
I'm using LauncherPro and just yesterday I stumbled on this post on xda.
Now, I don't care about the wallpaper, but I really like those buttons. So first I did try to find the icon pack (it is called "Manup's Simple Word Icons 116SET") and then tried to make some of the icons myself, but each time I noticed that the words just aren't readable on the screen (too small!).
So I was wondering, does anybody use such a theme and is willing to shear it, or does somebody has a solution for this? Or is our resolution really that bad?
Thank you in advance!
Hey, I tried using this app too once and had the same problem, I'm not very clued up on Photoshop so never tried to solve it that way......
Instead I used another app custom launcher icons, which gave me the text icons that we're readable. There wasn't much customization in it though so got bored quickly, I think the icons in that picture are actually blank icons placed over a custom dock background which has the text on it.
I've done it that way before a while ago, let me have a search for the theme which came with blank icons n ill get back to you.
EDIT: The theme I used for the blank icons was called sense adw theme by androidfeens.
You can use the blank icons from that then find a custom dock with the text on.

No I tell a lie he did actually use that app to make the text icons and then placed them on top of a custom dock. Must be our resolution that sucks with the app, oh well glad you reminded me about this just made my own custom dock again.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda premium
Interesting approach, but the only restriction is that this way of working limits the amount of docks to just one, as the dock-background is the same for every dock..
Yeh that is a problem for multi dock users, doesn't affect me as I only use one, for the basic phone functions.

Same when I used it u i forget I have them, and found it easier to just use shortcuts

A bit late, but I've found an app that creates readable word icons! It is called 'Simple text - text icon creator', is made by 'redphx' and can be found in the market for free. For a screenshot, check attachment.

[Q] How to change icons?

I've ran a lot of ROMs. but I've finally settled down and starting modding my favorite after months and months of being a flashaholic, I've now taken a lovely ROM and installed a custom bootani and sound, downani and edited the build.prop and have done many many other things to have a unique ROM of my liking, The only other thing I can think is to find out how to change the icons, I've done some searching but all that turns up is dumbness saying I have to use a launcher blah blah blah.
So! question is, I was running the rom Elegancia that was a modded version of Sense 4 Villec2 but some things we're broken, But those icons are we're perfect, How could I bake in icons like these?
I'm talking about phone, messages, music icons and so on, I'd only edit the ones in my dock.
Desktop visualizer is available on the play store, just download any icon pack and you can change your icons

Here's a tutorial to edit the icons in the status bar, but it sounds like you really want to edit the icons for your shorcuts to apps. Desktop Visualizer may be your best bet for that, and there's also AnyCut and BetterCut but I'm not sure what's the status of those apps.

How do I put the icon pack on my phone? I'm not having much luck...
You can try some alternate launchers like GO LauncherEX. You can change every single icon to image from gallery.
I want to show you how it works, but you know, 10 post rule ;f

Use Sense Widgets with Non-Sense Launcher

While fooling around trying out different launchers, i have found a real gem.

It's a cool launcher but if you disable the persistent search bar, you can't drag anything to the top of the screen.
That blows.
It's alright, but missing a lot of features that Nova and Apex have so I won't be able to use it. I can't get the Sense widgets sized appropriately to where they are not stretched or having elements overlapping despite messing with the row/column settings. Other things like not being able to change the app drawer icon, and so forth are a bother.

U can resize the widgets.
Icon packs for nova/apex can be used as well.
There r some niggling issues with this launcher, however if you want to use sense widgets and not sense launcher then it your only choice.

Tried it. Hated it.
Alignment was off on text and icons on adjacent screen, it kept reverting to default screen setup after arranging it with my setup, saw some screen redraw, and weather widget text and graphics were way out of line.
If these were fixed, i'd maybe try it again.

Colored icons for system settings, battery, wlan

Most of the custom ROMs have beautiful icons for the home screen and applications but monochrome icons for Android settings, battery, wlan, etc. Can anybody suggest a theme or icon pack to flash instead of copying single icons? I have the Cromi-X 4.6.4 rom on my TF300.
The ADW EX LAUNCHER has a ton of themes and icon packs.
Also, Beautiful Widgets has a bunch of widgets for wifi, bluetooth, etc.

This is not what I mean. I am not talking about the homescreen icons or widgets. I mean, for example, the notification icons and the android system settings icons. Something like the theme butterfly Bam for my S3

Ok, I see what you mean now. I use UOT Kitchen when I want to change things like that. You can also get the images from other themes that you like, go in and manually and edit them yourself. That's about the only way those can be changed. You need to make sure they are the same size, etc. too.
Have a look here, this is a fantastic theme for the tf700 but unfortunately it is not compatible with the tf300, it bootloops the device but maybe if you ask timberwolf he might also make it compatible with the 300 or if he does not have the time and is happy for me to do so I could port it for 300 also. This would take some time though as it would require alot of images to be resized.
