how to export system apps to pc! - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Hi all,
I was messing around with airdroid and i found a quick way to export the system and other apps to your pc in a few simple steps!
1. Download Airdroid onto your phone and run it. (download link at bottom!)
2. Enter the link into your web browser on your pc and enter the password. Note this app only works on wifi.
3.Click apps then system!

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
4.find the app you want to export, click export and then it will start downloading!
5.Install to custom ROM (Mabye!)
This comes in handy if you wanted to install a custom ROM but still wanted some system apps from the standard ROM or a diffrent ROM
I hope this helped you.

This method does not require root at all and adb seems like alot of work rather than this method

I totally agree with Prawsome and others talking about adb.
adb pull is alot easier. If you're worried about how to install adb in your computer. then let me tell you its just a zip file and needed to be extracted.

I used 91 PC Suite for Android Install App/Backup/Restore sms or contacts,...all are easy

System Font

Does anybody know where I can find fonts to flash or use through root?
Best way to do it is find the .zip file of the fonts you want and extract the .tff files from it and use an app called fontchanger from the market. Requires a reboot afterwards but works like a charm. I don't believe anyone has started making flashable zips for the 3d yet.

Or you can get absolute root tools from the market and it does all that for u...just find the the font,install and reboot..its that easy lol

yeah i used font changer myself one time, and Tiff sent me a message (which i read too late) and told me not to use the "REEBOT WHEN DONE" cause yur phone will just hang when it does try to reboot......most people say to just reboot manually....i thought i bricked my friggen phone when i chose the reboot option LOL.....but when i rebooted manually it did work perfect.....i think i got the font from devinart...just extracted the zip....woot!!!!
Ok, thanks. I'll try that.

Just my $0.02. I really likes the Evervolv font from the Absurd ROM but wanted to use deck's ROM so, using ES File Manager in root mode (with the system mounted as writable) I extracted the font directory (/system/font) from the Absurd ROM's zip file, copied it, went into the system directory of my phone, checked what the permissions were for the font directory, deleted the font directory on the ROM that was on my phone (deck's ROM), and then simply pasted the Absurd font directory in its place. From there, I just went into the new font directory's properties and made sure the permissions matched the permissions of the directory I had just deleted.
With that said, that worked for my specific situation only because I already found a font style that I liked from a ROM which was based off of the same build that i was already using. Just my $0.02

True, but in this case it doesn't matter that much I think, because he doesn't recommend it for downloadin and he doesn't provide a link. But be careful with posting stuff like that.

Titanium backup (Pro) can do it.

It's not for backups. It's for extracting specific apps or data from nandroid backups. Useful when you need something from your backup so you don't have to restore that to get it and then have to flash back your other rom.

he means that TB pro have a feature that allows you to extrack app from nandroid backup, so you dont need other apps if you have a TB pro version
Did not know that, and haven't seen either. o-o
back up woth astro
You can back up your apks with astro file manager (free)
Its one of the best(personally my favourite) file manager on the play store. when you start the app press the application backup button an choose the apps you wanna back up. the installation apks will be stored in the backups folder on your SD.
PS sorry for the typing error in the title ... I bet no one saw it.
well...if we have a computer, we could simply extract the files to get the apk.
Use X-XPLORE this explore have apk back to zip option....
Just open the system.tar with winrar.

Either with RootExplorer but you first have to set to read/write mode with the button in the upper right corner(r/w)
Or with adb(adb push)
