[Q] Balsamiq Mockup Software on the Note ? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

Balsamiq Mockup app is an Adobe Air product when you use the online demo. Was hoping I could use my Note to do some mockup screens but the navigation on the online web demo versions seems to be flakey. Basically when I try to access the top menus, no drop down shows up however using on my PC the same site works just fine.
Ideas ?

Android Device as Second Display

I'm looking to be able to use my Galaxy Tab as a second PC display. I've been searching for hours for a way to set this up and I've found a few solutions, but so far they've all been lacking. I'm hoping others might have some experience or thoughts on the subject. Here's what I tried or looked into so far:
iDisplay - Available on the Market. So far about the only solution that works, but it's god awful slow. If you try to use a browser with a couple tabs open, it practically stands still. It also disables Aero on Windows 7.
Screenslider - Available on the Market. Disables Aero. Doesn't like web browsing, FF and IE won't redraw when clicking anything (links, Java objects, tabs, etc).
Air Display - Available on the Market. Disables Aero and DirectX. This one was extremely responsive, but you just can't do anything on it. Not compatible with FF9 or later and can't handle dynamic web content.
Remote View - Available on the Market. Disables Aero and Background. Honestly, I don't even remember why this one didn't work. Pretty sure browsers just froze. Have to jump through hoops on their website to even get the server.
Splashtop XDisplay - iOS only. Looks like it would be perfect, but it's not on Android yet. They said they were working on it 6 months go, so I'm not holding my breath.
Virtual display + a VNC connection - This is the most promising, so far. The idea is to use software to create a virtual display that's normally hidden, then use a VNC server (that can deal with individual displays) to send that extra display to a VNC viewer on the Android device. It seems like this would be the most responsive, plus you shouldn't lose Aero or specific applications since you're essentially just sending out a video stream (I think). Some apps even combine the virtual display and VNC server into one. In reality, actually setting this up has been a royal PITA (due in no small part to my complete lack of experience with this sort of thing).
Other Android RDP or VNC apps that have this sort of functionality built in - ?
So, has anyone actually accomplished this, or have any interest in figuring it out?
I'm looking for a similar application for my Galaxy Note's display. I want to use it as a live display tablet for Photoshop. I tried iDisplay and Remote View. Both were too slow to update phone display. iDisplay also BSODs my Samsung laptop (primary work machine), so it's not a viable solution. I could always use my phone as a regular tablet (one that just moves a cursor on screen), but hey, it'd be cool to have!
Virtual display+VNC? Sounds too contrived, but I'll try to read up and figure out how to get it running. If that's as responsive as a regular display, I'll post the method here.

i guess it didnt work..
Personally, I never went back and gave it another shot. Still think the VNC thing will work well with some effort.

[Q] Auto refresh a presentation published to the web. Using an Android tablet as a di

I'm using my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 as a presentation display. I created a simple presentation in Google docs. I published the document to the web. I opened the URL on my tab and the presentation is working properly but my issue is when I update the main presentation the version on Android does not refresh automatically and it still plays the older content.
How can I fix that?
I would like to be able to use my desktop or phone to change a slide and automatically the tab plays the updates content. Similar to a kiosk display or displays where they show weather and other stuff.
If I don't publish to the web I run into the same issue as edits to presentation do not show in real time like documents do.
Try to clear cache.

Smart Select problem in MultiWindow

Hi. I've searched far and wide for this problem and returned with no solution. I use my tab to read medical books and write notes so I open Xodo on the left and OneNote on the right in splitscreen mode (multiwindow). Whenever i use smart select (spen feature) to snip parts of a book to put in OneNote, the app says "Cant use this app in Multiwindow mode" and resets the screen to full screen leaving only one app and ruining my workflow.
I tried the force activities to be resizible in the dev options. Also tried multistar. No luck
Help please!
I have the same problem on the SM-T970 (Galaxy Tab S7+)!
Yup. same here. Tab S7 plus that I expressly purchased for this feature, and it doesn't work. Really quite disappointed about it. Just bombs out with a crappy compatibility issue. Even if there was an option to copy to clipboard without losing the split screen would be nice. Totally ruins what would otherwise be a brilliant work flow feature. My only hope is that they'll sort it out in future updates... It really can't be that hard to sort out

Issues with galaxy wearable and Duo

I've looked all over and some sites tell me Duo is not compatible with Galaxy Wearable and others say it is, what is the truth? I have a Galaxy Watch 3 connected to the Duo, I am able to get notifications, use Samsung Pay, and adjust the stock faces and settings. I am Not able to download new faces or access the store at all. I am wondering if I am missing something or is wearable just not 100% compatible with Duo?
Hey! I ran into the same thing, moving from a Samsung phone to a non Samsung phone for the first time with my galaxy watch was an adjustment. If you open the galaxy wear app and click discover at the bottom and click view more it will take you to a visibly different version of the watch app store. You can buy new apps, access your purchased apps, works totally fine.

Best drawing / painting app?

Hi guys,
as the pen works really phenomenal on our Tablet and My S7+ is like made for drwaing, I wanted to ask which app you use for that?
The already installed Samsung apps are not what I'm really looking for.
On the Computer I use Paintshop Pro to paint and to work on Fotos.
Which one would be best to get the features from PaintShop Pro?
If it is freeware, I would be even more happy
I would recommend SketchBook 100%. Im using it myself and its full of features every artist needs.
SketchBook
Sketchbook was what I found so far.
Fits most of what I need. Just wanted to know if there is something even better.
I mostly want to work on existing Fotos and there are not so many filters and things for that.
I've tried most now and the best I've come across is infinite painter. It has a minimalistic ui but this is deceiving, spend some time with it and you'll find that it's very capable.
I've used Sketchbook for years. It's excellent, but they seem to have stopped updating it since it went 100%
I also use Infinite Painter, it has some really good brushes and the grids/guides are amazing. It's had a major update on iOS and the new features are headed to Android soon.
I've also tried out Clip Studio Pain at the TAB S7+ comes with a free trial. It is amazing, but I don't like the subscription pricing.
If you want to see my drawings, check out @sketchUK on instagram - I usually include the app name in the description, so you can see what I've used.
Infinite Painter FTW
It's as close to a Photoshop android app as I've been able to find.
You might want to check out Krita. It's an open source app designed for desktop, but ported to Android.
With this screen, it should work out well. My device isn't here yet, but the app is free.
ETA: YouTube video link:
Infinite Painter is Crapware - Spyware - Malware
Tried Infinite Painter after reading here. First of all I got alarm about two trackers. After starting message appears that the app does not run without play services.
So far so good.
Tried to uninstall the app to find out that it was not possible to uninstall.
I had to do a factory reset to get the app off my tablet.
The device is new and untouched, I should not have to use adb tool to actually get rid of this crapware.
Keep your fingers off this app
I seem to always find myself back using Medibang paint. it's for the most part free and easy to navigate and use also with a whole online community and database of online tools and downloads. Cloud saving. Frequent updates.

Krita
Krita
Krita is a professional FREE and open source painting program. It is made by artists that want to see affordable art tools for everyone.

..and to see just how capable it is, always go to the user manual; that's where the real story is told.
Welcome to the Krita 5.0 Manual!

Not sure about S-pen compatibility, though...
EDIT: I did a search of this thread for 'krita', saw no results, made this post, then saw that it was already mentioned by @undrwater

From here:
The developers of the editing program have converted the full version of Desktop 4.29 to Android environment. This implies that the interface is not 100% suitable for touch control, but works great on tablets with a stylus, as is the case with the Samsung Galaxy Tab. We tested Krita on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and the feeling was very positive: the app not only allows editing of images and lines, it is also very well suited for use with the S Pen. It even detects different pressure levels for drawing.

Krita is working really well with S Pen.
You can also deactivate touch input for any painting and then your palm will not "paint" while using the S Pen.
Also the pressure is really nicely configurable within Krita.
Can fully recommend this app, thanks for mentioning it here - as I didn't know it before
I'm also looking for a good drawing app right now. I want to try it and learn how to draw in the application. This will make my work easier and faster. For now, I only draw on paper and improve my skills. The drawing ideas on partnersinfire.com help me with this. However, I understand that now is the time that I need to learn to be friends with technology. There are many areas where all artists work in applications, and I understand this. So if anyone can recommend a good app, I'll be grateful.
I’m using a samsung galaxy tab s7+ (12,4 inches),and you can use clip paint studio painting app on it, which you can synchronise with your pc/mac. The stylus is great and drawing experience is excellent.
Here is an article that should help you choose a android drawing app: https://pctechtest.com/20-best-digital-art-drawing-software
