I just finally ordered my own Galaxy Tab 7.7, can't wait!
However, I'm saddened by the fact that Gelaskins doesn't make a skin for the Tab 7.7... I love their skins, already have one for my Kindle and my Galaxy Nexus.
While they probably think there won't be a lot of demand, maybe if more people request it, they would change their mind.
Any chance some you guys can help out and send them a message requesting it?

I just brought a galaxy tab 10.1 and when I came to the development forums I see there's one for the 10.1 and a 10.1v how do I know which I have? Sorry if it's a stupid question I haven't been following this tab
the 10.1v is the Vodafone one that came out months ago.

Is there no way to see this in the software in some way? I face the same problem as the thread starter, I have no previous experience of tabs and was given this Tab 10.1 by my wife. Hell-no that I will guess and possibly brick my device because of not knowing if this is a "v" or not.
- Bought in Sweden in August 2011, using a leather cover bought from the US and it fits perfectly.

Their basically the same... The GT 10.1v came out first and is only sold over seas(non US) , then Samsung redesigned it so that it would be thinner than the IPad2. That's pretty much it.... and the 10.1v has a 8meg camera and the 10.1 only has a 3meg camera.

Anyways the 10.1v is significantly thicker than the 10.1. If you know how thin an iPad 2 is, the 10.1 is comparable to that. The 10.1v is much thicker than an iPad 2 (closer to iPad 1 in thickness).
im looking to get a new tablet and im trying to decide between samsung galaxy 10.1 and the lg optimus pad i cant find too much info on modding the lg can anybody give some info on which would be the best tab? i really like the lg's3d option for video. thanks for any info people

I bought the Xoom over the Samsung 10.1 simply because of the slow updates from Samsung. I absolutely love it. I also own the iPad and I almost use my Xoom exclusively.

Cnet has a pretty good write up talking about it, but I thought it odd, but interesting, to compare something so small to something so big. While I don't agree that one requiring a full size dedicated tablet could easily forego that need in favor of a Note, I do find that they offer up some good talking points. I gave up my nook color for the time being, things are working out well for me so far, but time will tell.

Yea I caught that after posting and while reading comments on article. Wasn't aware of a 10.1 Note in the works. Will be interesting to see what churns out. I kinda like the idea of side by side apps...dead space and shadow gun at the same time...hmmm
Maybe you should change the TITLE to reflect it is the 10.1

Far ENOUGH. TITLE should make THINGS clearer, figured it MAY be easier then RANDOMLY capitilizing works in our SENTENCES to get our POINT across.

Just wait until Samsung OFFICIALLY announces the tab 10.1/11.6 perhaps even today . Just like before right after Apple releases their iPad Samsung will come out and top it. Last year Samsung went ahead and changed the ergonomics of the Tab 10.1 within weeks to have a slimmer lighter tablet compared to the iPad lol .
It was originally rumored to have a dual core CPU that similar to our Note phones with the same resolution. I have a really really good feeling that will not be the case that it could have a even faster CPU, & mind you that have not even said what the GPU is. I can assure you that Samsung has prob made changes to that of the specs we seen at Mobile World Congress, i hope
They will not let Apple go about their glory without a fight. Especially after them taking shots at the Galaxy tab during their keynote. Which someone at Samsung has already commented on lol.
Samsung has a rumor going around that they are "pocketing" a Galaxy Note tab 11.6" with a resolution of 2650x1600 beating out the new ipad by a million pixels.
Either way Samsung has something big today at 4pm central. Could it be the new Note tablet, ICS for our Notes? Galaxy S3. Who knows its still Samsung so lets not hold our breath lol.

Well they I kinda only compared one set of features that really were pretty much the same thing. Cool but they over looked a lot of stuff on the iPad. This is coming from someone who hates apple products.

I will be interested in the Galaxy Note 10.1 once it comes out. I just pre ordered the new ipad. (I had a $500 gift card from a sales contest). It delivers March 16th. Depending on when the Galaxy Note 10.1 is coming out, I may sell the ipad. Does anyone know when it is coming?
I love Apple products, as a shareholder! Wish Samsung was publicly traded in the US!

I'd get the Galaxy Note 2 if it wasn't for the gigantic unibody! I've had my Galaxy S2 for a year now and to be honest, I don't think I can find a better phone than this :laugh: CM10 ftw! I love the screen size, slimness, screen, etc. I might wait until a phone that it's screen is at least under 4.6"... for now. Although at this rate, I only see that new phones' screens are just getting BIGGER and BIGGER . 4.3 inches is perfect for me because I can still use one hand at times. The Galaxy S3 looks like a fridge to me so no way xP Galaxy S2 again! I'd get the Galaxy S2 again and again until I see something with a design that fits me.

I have a dying Tab S that I would like to change. I have an opportunity for a Galaxy Tab S3 (SM-T820) for 330 euros. It's a second hand. Bluetooth is not working, else everything is fine.
It seems a goo deal but 2 things are worrying me:
- I don't feel an overall love for the Tab S3 around. Globally, people don't seem satisfy of it. But I can't really say if they don't really like it or because they think it should not be so expensive considering the perfs,
- The second point is almost the same. The community don't care about this model. ie: there are neither official TWRP or LineageOS for this model.
Do you think I should buy a Galaxy Tab S2 instead or stay on my first deal for the S3?
The only reason to buy the S3 right now is to save money in comparison to the S4. The S3 with the optional keyboard will offer almost the same solution as the S4 but without the DeX mode. In addition, in the S3, because the screen is under 10 inches, you would be able to use all the Microsoft Office programs without a license. You would need an Office365 license for the Tab S4. I have the S3 and it works great with almost every application.
However, on the basis that things may get progressively more complex and may need more of a processing muscle, the best option may be to purchase an S4, although I understand that paying anything between $750-850 is not an easy decision

So I finally took the S3 today. It's a second hand (but never have been used)at a good price, else I would not have bought it. I know the S4 will be better but much more expensive and I would not pay so much.
