Okey. Here is the trick:
Any root explorer>------>Mount system as RW>------>Open the SYSTEM folder>------>Then open "usr" folder>----->And then open the "idc" Folder>---->In the folder there is 4 files with .idc extension, Backup "synaptics_touchpad.idc" And then delete the "synaptics_touchpad.idc" file from your system.
Forgot to Backup? Flash the Attachment in cwm WHEN you dont want to use the "Mouse" anymore.

After I do this, will i still be able to use touchpads normally in games like in Asphalt or such? I am asking this as you are on the ICS Beta aswell. And what negative effects does this have?
Thanks

Yes, But it's great for non touchpad optimized games though

Done it, but can't really use it very well... can't see how it works, or helps...
I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but i can't figure out what to do after that

Awesome
I wish the touch pads weren't all inverted, it's too confusing.
There must be a way to fix that too.
Still touchpads are cool to use
Thanks

Trying to figure this out... But im working on a Kernel too and i have school so it's not so easy to keep up.

Am I the only one who likes this mod?
I just tried it again and its so cool. It Helps me press the little buttons that are hard to click on with your finger (like the full screen on videos)

try changing synaptics_touchpad.idc to match the following instead of deleting it.
you may also need to change the 0 to 1
touch.deviceType = pointer
touch.orientationAware = 0
touch.gestureMode = pointer
or for the spots try this
touch.deviceType = pointer
touch.orientationAware = 0
touch.gestureMode = spots

I like it too but I think it needs to have some sort of a toggle, that maybe can be bound to the select button or a switch widget.

does not work for me i am on ka12 with DooMKernel

Awesome it worked, the icon actually turned into a mouse this time
The only problem is that the pointer is even more confusing now. xD

An app (or better yet,a widget) could be made in order to tweak those settings. However, that would require root permissions.

New Pinch Zoom Module - Near Perfect for x8, X10mini Synaptics

Hey Guys,
Here is a new x8 gesture module for pinch zooming in SE X8 & X10mini.
This module works likely real dual touch & it response very quickly.
New in this module:
1. Much sensitive even can recognize little finger contact
2. Can be used in multitouch supported game
3. Supports all app with pinch zooming features
4. More correct pinch zoom than any other x8gesture modules
Installation:
Installation is same as previous x8gesture installation
- Remount /system as rw
- Copy the attached x8gesture.ko below to /system/lib/modules
- Change hw_config.sh in your /system/etc, add this code at the beginning
insmod /system/lib/modules/x8gesture.ko #dx: add gestures
- Push modified hw_config.sh back to your phone, reboot
** This is not real dual touch
** Use multi touch visualizer to calibrate & check the correctness
** It can not recognize more than two finger
I wish someone will make an update.zip for this module.
Don't forget to say thanks if it is useful for for you
Also, Sorry for my horrible English
Already testing.. thanks

[Port] Mupen64Plus Armv6 [N64 Emulator] UPDATE 15.9.2011

Mupen64Plus ARMV6
I Didnt Make That Projekt All Credits Goes to Paul From Ngemu Forumz This is a Pre Alpha
Tutorial if u want to change games go to app- folder then into the mupen folder than into roms , then delete mario.n64 but every rom that u got u need to rename it to mario.n64 or it wont work.
This Thread gonna be Updated By Me , if u want to do some changes here are the source codes and the test apk
UPDATE 15.09.2011
Now Added Virtual Gamepad to the screen by paulscode
paulscode said:
I decided to post an official build with the virtual gamepad, so folks can start testing it. I probably won't have time to make any updates or bug-fixes until I get back home (there are a couple known issues, see below)
Test APK (source code)
Test APK 2 (sort-order bug)
IMPORTANT: You will need to update the app data, because several changes were made, mainly to the button masks. If you do not update the app data, you will get weird behavior of random alternate buttons pressing when you are trying to press other buttons! In case anyone isn't familiar with how to do this, the easiest way to update the app data is to delete the folder app-data/paulscode.android.mupen64plus from your SDCard, The emulator's DataDownloader module will then automatically download the new data for you when you start the app.
Known Problems:
The first thing you will notice is that the hat image doesn't move. I purposely disabled this, because the call to "invalidate()", which tells the surface to redraw, was ridiculously slow and having a major hit on performance. I'll need to rethink how to redraw without requiring so much CPU power (possibly some kind of timed "redraw granularity" rather than redrawing on every touch event that involved the analog stick).
The second thing you will notice is that it is really easy to "drop" the analog stick if you slide your finger too far (while running forward, etc). I'll need to implement some type of "stick capture" logic.

Sixaxis Control Map for NBA Jam???

Has anyone else gotten NBA Jam to work on their Prime, I did, but now I want to know if anyone has or knows how to map the touchpad controls with the Sixaxis controller app. I tried but I seem to not be able to get it to work.
Assistance anyone?

Currently without my tablet to test it out myself.
+2.. holding off on buying this until I can confirm it works with a controller.. I love this game, but I don't want to play it on glass..
Dope! I didn't know this game was out. Ill get it most likely when I get home tonight...looks so fun. If I get it ill make a map tho
Modded by MBOK
I can't make a map for this thing.. It does this strange screen rotation thing.. like it forces it into portrait, while you have it in landscape, but it still displays portrait.. I messed around with +90/0/-90 offsets, etc.. I got the left analog to kind of map, but left was down, etc.. and some directions went off at an angle..
I'd love it if someone could figure this thing out.

Is this a game that I'd have to download to my phone and pull it? I didn't see it in the market on my prime.
Yeah, I just bought it and sent it to my old phone, then copied off the .apk. It installs just fine and runs great on the Prime.. so stupid it's not available for d/l.
You can see it from your computer, just go to the play website and buy it there. As long as you have a compatible device, it'll let you buy it.

Negative..
With that mapping it seems like d-pad down is start.. and square button is down..
EDIT - My fault, it works really well, I had my offset set to -90. Looks like something is up with the analg stick causing the buttons to fire, especially when holding the stick down/left if you have the ball.. I shrank the size of the analog control, but it didn't help.. I'm just using d-pad, and it appears to be working perfectly that way.
THanks for the help! I learned quite a bit just looking at your mapping..

Key swap on HTC Trace keyboard themed

I've tried numerous keyboards for my Rezound and they all have their various issues. The conclusion that I have come to is that the HTC keyboard, especially with trace isn't all that bad. The only problem I have with it is the positioning of the number key. Has anyone themed this keyboard to swap the number key with the text to speak key to make it more ASOP like?

(app)(profiles) sixaxis controller app

Sixaxis controler app just got updated to work on jb 4.2.
Can some one please share their profiles for Nova 3, Dead Trigger, Asphalt 7 and mass effect infiltrator.
I am having a hard making profiles on the N 10 due to the buttons being too small.
thnx
Could give these a shot. They are for the nexus 7 so I'm not sure if they will actually work.

I can't see why they wouldn't work unless the creator changed the format.

The "Dead Trigger" profile I tried definitely did not work...
It seems that any profiles that are just keymaps (ie: controller up = "up" button, controller down = "down" button, etc.) should port fine, but anything that uses the touch profiles (almost every game) will require new profiles due to the larger screen and different resolution. Buttons will end up being in different places on the screen, and the profiles need to match that.
You'll just have to tweak them to the size of the screen. The cool thing about sixaxis is you can just take a screenshot of the game while you're in it and then import that screenshot as the background of the profile while you edit it. It makes creating those profiles super easy.
I'll do a few and upload them later on.
Here are Dead Trigger and Shadowgun to start with since I already had them installed.

It turns the analog stick into a simulated "touch" - the game can't tell the difference.
Can anyone make a profile for Modern Combat 4?
Edit: Scratch that. Making profiles is simple enough. The controller works in pretty much every aspect off the start, except for aiming and a few misc. controls (throwing grenades, crouching, sprinting, and opening the boost menu).
Does anyone know how to reduce the sensitivity of the dualshock3 sticks? On the Nexus 7 when I use the right stick to look around it is much less sensitive than on the Nexus 10. This makes the N10 very difficult to control and requires very fine movements of the stick.
EDIT: you can change the sensitivity in preferences/button properties

In Nova 3 when I hold the left analog stick to move forward it will stop moving after a few seconds and I will have to let go and push forward again. Any fix for that?
