Is 4G down? - HTC Rezound

I'm in San Antonio and I've been looking at 1X for the last 12 hours. Is there a problem or is it just me?
KORM via the beast known as the Rezound.

Just you! Try a reboot. If that doesn't fix it pull the battery for 30 seconds. Works for me in that situation.

I'm up and running now! Haven't had that happen in months.
KORM via the beast known as the Rezound.

It's only happened to me a couple of times. Seems to be when I'm in a dead zone for a few hours. I've been turning off mobile data when I'm in those places. Hopefully that bug is fixed with the upcoming OTA.

How much data do you use?
I am asking because I have a phone that pulls crap like that all the time. I am on my 2nd phone due to this issue.
Thanks

Ever think it has something to do with the network in your area?
Sent from my HTC Rezound via Tapatalk

I don't think so, but if it was, Well AT&T looks nice. I called tech over and over and they all said network was fine in my "area".
It could be due to useing 20-30GB every time, but I used 22GB on AT&T's unlimited plan and never had this happen.

This month I'll use over 50gb, last month 15gb and averaged about 3gb per month over the last 4 years. I'm unlimited with a hotspot. It almost seems like I'm being throttled. That's BS if that's the case since I pay about $70+ a month for Internet on two phones.
KORM via the beast known as the Rezound.

Forgot to add it usually hit speeds between 8-12gb but this month I'm seeing a lot of 3-5gb and a lot of dropped signal. Haven't had that problem before at least not like this. Curious to see what happens as soon as I start my next pay cycle.

Exactly this. I mean, do we really need one of these threads a week now?
I think they are just above boost and metro pcs, but I bet that the same threads exist about every carrier.
Take a look at Sprint's stock. They can promise the moon but not deliver. If it's to good to be true it usually is. Stock symbol is S.
hope it works out for you huskers

After you get your mom to change your diaper, just man up and cancel your service. Yeah, it will cost you a couple hundred...but if they suck so bad then it would be worth it. However, this is the XDA Developer's Forum. Not the "I'm a little ***** that needs to cry about everything cell phone related" forum. Now, don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way out.

That's extremely common if your not on an unlimited plan. Means you've used 65% of your data. They send another at 80% and I think 90 or 95%.

The bad thing is im usually up to about 80% by the time they send me that text. So i know if i get the one at 90% i have already went over.

I don't know why the OP so itch up about it? It is just a warning, he should say thank to ATT instead of pissing off.
Apparently, the OP never read this article
http://news.yahoo.com/fla-woman-shocked-200-000-cell-phone-bill-135239012.html
I have NO idea what OP is complaining about, or why he sent the obscene response. I take it he is on a tiered plan since they are notifying him he has used 65% of plan. Why would any rational person get upset about that???
I think it's actually really nice they notify you instead of dropping a huge bill on you at the end of the month.
Funny that the two most sensible posts in this thread came from guys with the lowest post counts. Go figure.
Two things: I've been with at&t for 9 years and have never gotten notification of any kind like that.
Secondly, I was absolutely piss drunk when I made this thread last night.
I should just stick to the drunk thread.

LOL. I believe they are (or soon will be) legally obligated (as will other carriers) to provide these notifications. Can't recall the name of the legislation, but I remember hearing about it maybe 3-4 months ago...
I love this thread and I love your response. Lol
Sent from my SGH-I777 using Tapatalk
i'm not really sure what AT&T did to deserve that response. People complain when they dont notify anyone when they're close to their data limit but when they DO notify people, they get more complaints. I dont really understand that but, eh, what do I know.
Um, ya... I think we have like 3 threads already open about AT&T, Unlimited VS Tiered Data and throttling threads. We dont need another one.

This is what Sprint LTE will look like on your phone

Don't get your hopes up too much yet, this is their LTE in Texas...
It's still good but it's no 30 Mb/s
That's only cause he is probably the very few connected those are the max speed for 5hz channel. I expect it to be pretty much about the same as wimax speeds with better upload and maybe better latency. Oh and also with the same great battery drain.

Battery drain will not be there long as ur in a city with the sites active....just like Wimax if your connected you are typically fine. The drain comes from having to reconnect so often and search for signal...
Also the SoC will mediate decently the LTE as its built into the die so its not an extra chip sucking the battery like with Wimax...

check out foldermount. might help with the pain of the smaller storage size. basically moves data to the external SD, but leaves a symlink on the internal so that apps, etc that point to that directory can still access the files. obviously not the same as a larger internal storage, but at least it helps.
I didn't figure it was going to take long for the phone to be rooted, and custom recoveries/roms installed. It didn't take long for the GS3 to fall to the modding community.
Once you root, NO MORE OTAS!!!!
People will read that, and still do it anyway, and well, that's on them.

I'm going to try out stock for at least a few days. I'm coming from a DINC2 running CM7 in preparation for this. It's going to be a nice boost in every regard, I think.
The lure of root is tough to beat, though. I've only ever had HTC smartphones, so I've been used to waiting a month or two for root. This might be tough.

Unfortunately so, it looks like Verizon had time to upgrade to the new secure kernel (same as Sprint's latest OTA). And now we all know why they wanted to take that extra month.

AT&T LTE correct speed?

I just noticed yesterday I am now getting the 4g LTE icon lit up on my phone in my area(very pleasant surprise) and the speeds don't seem that great though. I've traveled through LTE areas before and the speeds were 4x to 8x this fast. Could they still be tweaking it? Thanks for any input.

Yeah that's not fast, but it's not slow either. I get an average of 20mbps download on lte. Bit it varies from time of day, to objects in the way, and take into consideration how many people are using the tower you're on.
That's normal speed when they are first turning up and testing the frequencies give it a week or two and see if it improves

They must be testing it. I go from LTE to 4g to Edge in just a few seconds without even moving. They're definitely doing something because I was getting LTE service inside my workpkace where I previously got no signal at all. Plus, I was showing LTE at times today and couldn't load anything web based:screwy: I hope it does get faster.

The 3 times I have been in an area when they are doing tower upgrades it does exactly what you just described. It will go faster once they finish it.
AT&T turned on LTE here a few months ago and it's no faster than HSPA was, not even per tower... like at work I would see 12mbit down, at home 4mbit.. It hasn't changed. I've been told latency and other things are better but I never paid attention to them in the past.
