Stuck on cwm recovery help - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

Just what the title says. It doesn't matter what rom I flash or try to go to a back up ... when I hit reboot system now it brings up the Asus splash then right to cwm recovery. Any ideas fellas?
No roms or back ups are working.
I was doing a factory reset from settings, went back to my prime and was on cwm recovery.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514088

I looked at that other Thread but I am also confused and getting very upset that I might have ruined my new tablet. I installed CWM etc and everything was fine. I was trying to install the Primalicious ROM and thought I followed everything exactly like it said... I got up to where it says "install from SD Card." Little did I know that they meant internal memory.... I had the zip on the removable SD Card and not internal memory, so I have nothing to flash! I am able to get to the CWM Recovery Screen but I can't load the removable SD Card etc... If I restart, it gets stuck on the Splash Screen and doesn't do anything... I tried adb but I can't seem to get it to work right (on my Mac and PC). It can't find my tablet. I hope there's a way to fix this, so if you know please lend a helping hand here. I tried reviewing the other thread but just very upset and frustrated here so I apologize if I missed the answer.

The only ****ing device I've bricked! And! The only device I've had where I didn't think it needed to be rooted or a custom rom. I had to root it, unlock it and put a custom recovery on it. What a dumb ass I am. I'll figure this out but a little help would be nice peeps!

When you go to install from SD check both /download paths for the internal zip.
Probably a dumb question but did you make a nandroid?

I checked every path that it lets me check. The problem was that I didnt download directly from my Prime. I had downloaded it onto my computer and then copied the file to the external SD Card, and CWM does not let me get to the external sd card, only internal memory...
And no, not a dumb question but dumb answer, I did not make a nandroid backup because I'm a [email protected] and forgot. I was just following the instructions late last night and didnt even think about the back up.
*EDIT* I was able to get ADB to work, and it recognizes my tablet... Anyone know how I can push the file onto my tablet? I don't know the directory I should put it in.

Ahh. ****! I'll be working on mine all day tomorrow... I'll see if I can find anything for ya.

Put the rom zip file in the same directory as adb, then do this:
adb push [name of rom].zip /mnt/sdcard/
Go back to CWM and you should see the rom on your sdcard. There is a pretty good walk through of adb here:

You're better off waiting. They discovered a bug that causes the device to be bricked if you format the SD card. There's a fix for said brick, but it's still something that shouldn't be out in the wild.
I was looking for the same thing, so since I don't see anyone posting it I guess its a no on sharing cm7 lol

Isn't the bug only an issue if you are planning on using the SD Card version? I don't see what the problem would be with the internal version...oh well.

So far yes but truth is that eather with warnings or not people(noobs) could still do it lol so... to put an example i have read of 2 guys who wiped all the partitions off course they bricked their device (Judge for yourself).
So let devs work, test more and fix bugs, anyway there are some other bugs too and it other features aren't supported yet like Bluetooth, microphone, etc. I personally stay away of alphas but this time i tested support of apps and few other things but nothing major because i know there can be risks.

The bug is on both versions, and occurs if you try to format/erase the SD Card through the CM7 storage menu. So theoretically as long as you don't do that, you're fine, but I understand the hesitance to share a file that could potentially brick someone's device.
I was using the internal version, and experienced the SD format brick.
After recovering, I've continued to use CM7, primarily because when I tried to go back to the 1.4.1 + root image that's floating around here, I couldn't install market apps anymore. Tablet would reboot every single time I've tried. So I went back to CM7, just reminding myself to never, ever, ever erase the SDcard through the mod.
If you are not careful
I have been very cautious and lucky so far. I Rooted my Nook Tab back in late November by following ADB instructions and then applied many different tweaks including build.prop etc. All directions in these forums must be followed explicitly and you MUST have some working knowledge of ADB and a general understanding of how computers work. I have read every post in this forum and spent many hours researching how the devs were trying to circumvent the bootloader using various exploits. I did try to inject the Chainfire 3D wrapper as to be able to play Tegra Games and got caught in a boot loop and had to factory restore. Over all, I have been very careful. I have read in the forum that others have tried to apply CM7 update by trying to flash the cm7.ZIP file. It is very lucky for these people that in Clock Work Mod (CMW) this mode does not format the internal memory, it just writes to the System/app folder or to the folder that is specified inside the zip file. It is easy to get excited around buzz words like CM7 and CM9. But it is important to net let it go to your head and research thouroughly before hack-a-lackin your tablet. I am very grateful that the Devs rethought the CWM flasher and added the hash checksum so that someone with a bad connection didn't flash a partially downloaded file. I have CM7 on my Nook. Luckily, I didnt try to format an SD card with the Nook, I used an external card reader. The most important thing is, the Devs and the End Users are all going down unfamiliar territory. Research is the WORD. Happy Hacking!!!

So when you extract it you do it directly to the cmw folder okay ill try that

Permission error when saving anything to sdcard

I first noticed that when I went to take pictures that a toast message would popup that said something along the lines of "Unable to save file to sdcard due to insufficient file privaleges". Originally I thought it was the Rom at fault which I will leave nameless beings that its occoring with every Rom I've flashed since as well. But only after switching between the 3 Roma I had saved on my sdcard prior to this incident, I tried to download a newer Rom to see if it was a bug that had been fixed but couldn't download anything to my sdcard. The only time I can download is through the market or via adb push so I know the internal storage isn't broken, but not recieving the correct permissions.
Has anyone else experienced this or have a fix because I don't want to bring the phone back "re-locked" and ask for a replacement. But I also do not want to buy a new phone or go through asurion. Thanks in advance and happy hollidays!

Backup everything from your storage. Go into recovery and format /sdcard. I had the same thing happen. Worked fine after the format and restoring the files.
I'm getting ready to head home so ill do it when I get there. Should I format it in cwmr recovery or through settings just so I make sure I do it the way you did it. Less room for error lol. Not sure if this is what you need,a member here much smarter than I told me this about my E970 when it was unplugged before the backup was made.
In the end these phones are basically unbrickable, so you can always get into download mode (Vol up + Vol down +usb cable +power) and use LGNPST to restore back to stock. LGNPST info can be found on irc
I do not know what irc is but there ya go,google away and hope it works .
I don't completely understand what I'm doing when I'm doing things to my phone. All I know is that some pretty great people with a much better understanding of the inner workings of phones tell me to do this or that. On that note, why are people so quick to say their phone is bricked when they still have a phone that will boot into something? Anyway...
What if you try removing the sd card, use another phone or an adapter for a pc, to download a rom to it. Put it back in your phone boot into recovery and flash it.
Or use that LGPNST, or whatever you call it, method...

If you are in TWRP you could use the file manager under advanced to try and move the .zip to internal memory. Then see if you can flash.
But I always flash from external and never have issues.
You may have a corrupt .zip, maybe try downloading it again and then try again.
I had an issue where my SD card wasn't Fat32 so TWRP wouldn't put anything on the SD or boot anything off the SD. I can't remember if I could browse the folders with TWRP's file manager or not though. That's not much help I know, but might be worth looking into. You can try formatting your SD as Fat32, loading the stock ROM on it, then see if TWRP will flash it.

TWRP 2.6.0.0 can't flash zip no os

So... I was kind of an idiot, and I flashed my Internal SD. Now I can't flash BeanStalk onto my phone, it says "Error opening ZIP"
What do I do? I'm screwed right now because my phone has no OS D:
Do you mean that you Wiped your internal SD?
It sounds like you got a bad download for the Beanstalk zip. Just re-download it on your computer and put it on the SD card, then put that back in your phone and reboot recovery.

I redownloaded the Beanstalk ZIP and got a 201.9MB file (I'm in Linux, if that makes a difference.) I am willing to try another ROM (actually, I will just to get a working phone), but how do I connect to TWRP to put a zip on there? I'm not sure where my MicroSD adapter is, I just moved... My fiancee a feature phone that I used to put the original zip on there, but I don't have her phone handy right now...
Even Rootbox does it. I'm downloading ATT JB Stock to try and fix it.. I hope to GOD it works.
Do I need to LGNPST it? If so, is it possible on linux?
If it matters, I flashed the new google bootloader from the rootbox thread.

[q] need help with soft brick verizon note 2

Guys I made a dumb mistake. After trying to install Pinky and the Brain rom coming from another rom, I wiped my internal sd card. Well I downloaded the pinky and the brain rom and put it on an external sd card. the rom shows when I go to install but it shows all the folders, but it doesn't see the rom.zip file. I don't think this is something I have to flash with odin and Casual is out of the question since im rooted, unlocked, and on a custom rom. I am currently have TWRP. do I have to manipulate the pinky and the brain rom. Im sure im missing a step. I don't want to odin back to a stock rom then using casual to get back. is there an easier way.
I use my droid as my main internet source. Now im stuck with a POS sony Erickson experia just to have a working phone and im connecting via 3g..sucks for me lol..seriously what am I doing wrong that my phone is not showing the zip file to install via TWRP.
Again I have no rom on the phone at this point...just to be clear

Bad idea. ALWAYS nandroid. Download a rom on your comp and use a card reader to transfer it to SD. Then flash it. Idk what else you can do other wise.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
Seems you still have access to TWRP correct?
I would then load into it, under advanced, go to sideload. Connect it to a computer with a functioning adb and sideload the zip of the rom you want to flash over.
teamw.in /ADBSideload (that's a URL, I can't put them in posts yet, too new)
I have saved a phone in a similar situation this exact way.
Hope this helps.
I do still have twrp...I'm gonna try to download Scotts rom and put it on sd card and hopefully twrp will see the zip
