Fujitsu CP323611 / FPCPN19AP Pen for Flyer - HTC Flyer, EVO View 4G

Has anyone tried this stylus with the Flyer? Its a CP323611 from the T2000 series Fujitsu tablets. Their support was awful and doesn't know much about it. I can't tell if it has buttons but the item description says it has 2 on the side and 1 on the end.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003O64BL6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&m=A18S5N42CV31JE
Their support did say the updated model number is a FPCPN19AP. I know the FPCPN36AP works with it as many people are using them. Just curious on this other option to see if it has both the erase and highlight function like the original HTC pen.

I too need to know if it is compatible and how good this works. Better than the $30 one I saw on buy.com

The link you gave to amazon says the stylus is for Fujitsu T4200 series. I did some digging on the Fujitsu support site for the T4220. There is a vista driver for the "pentablet"; the file name is T4220_PENTABLET_WACOM_V1.2.0.0_VISTA.EXE
The pen we need for the view/flyer is n-trig based (has battery), not wacom based(no battery), so I don't believe it would work.

They don't work... My wife has a Fujitsu 4220 and an HTC View.

Pen for the Fujitsu convertible laptop works great for the Fujitsu laptop... but not at all on the HTC Flyer.

So what is the chance of you losing the digital pen the first month of ownership?

It is probably due to limited space that the Flyer does not have a slot to insert the pen. They will probably give you a case with the device to hold the pen. However, this would make it a little too bulky to put the device inside a jacket pocket.
So I guess that it would not take long before you misplaced the pen.
If you lose it, you shouldn't own it
I'm sure there will be a case with the flyer which will have a slot for the pen, or the pen will at least have a clip on it.
I would lose it in a month because my kids would do something silly with like let it fall in the couch. My kids like to play with my Android devices and I love them so I can't deny them lol.

So I am correct in saying that the stylus is not going to slot into the Flyer like say the Touch Diamond? If not that is really big design flaw from HTC. The Diamond has (from what I have seen) the best way to store the stylus via magnets and into the body. Hope they are not expensive, can see myself losing it in and around the house and at work...
You would think they would make a case for it so you have a slot to hold the pen when your not using it

Don't know, unfortunately. The HTC guy just said something along the lines of
"like those cases over there"
...but they never actually went 'over there' during the interview
One of the official folio cases has an external pocket for the pen. Personally I would prefer an internal pen loop.

Got my flyer today. Inside the package I've found a white leather pouch case with magnetic flap on top and an external pocket(ring of leather) for pen housing.

[POLL] How important to you is then pen when using your HTC Flyer?

For me the pen was an important part of the decision to buy the Flyer and one of the key features that I use everyday. I'm just curious how important the pen is to other Flyer owners.
When you pick up your Flyer is the pen:
An indispensable part of the experience
It's useful but it’s not a major factor
You think it’s a novelty or you seldom use it
You never use it
You don't own a pen
Never bothered to purchase one. I thought I would eventually, but I missed a few of the sales and ultimately convinced myself I didn't need it.

The pen brings a great amountof accuracy. Most of the web site still built for a mouse and keyboard experiance. The pen provides a great bridge between touch and mouse
Use it everyday.
Flyer on HC the pen is superfantastic. I use it everyday in class for note taking, if I did not have to take notes I would not use it. Personally I like the Sketch Pads textured back grounds for notes I tried every writing app except the Lenovo ported one(Can't get it to work) The HTC pen gives me four different width lines just by using pressure!
Have one, don't use it much but nice to have

it was the decision point for me get the View because I would like to take notes in meetings. The pens accuracy is so great compared to the ipad pens. I love the features of the notepad and the integration into the calendar application. My problem is when using the notepad my wrist keeps hitting the home key which takes me out of the application. Any tips wowould be appreciated

I thought about purchasing a pen when I bought my Flyer, but I figured I would just quickly loose it.
How do you guys keep track of the thing?
i got mine free with the flyer in UK. now i use it more with HC as it annoyed me taking screenshots all the time with GB

I bought honeybar to have more writing room in PDF editor.
Unfortunately, as soon as the pen hits the screen, either a gray bar appears where the status bar should be, or the extended application remains and anything I write becomes translated/distorted by the fixed distance of the honeybar
The pen was the reason I bought the Flyer for meeting notes. Integration with Evernote is superb. If I had to replace may Flyer I would need to buy the same again.
Using a case off EBay from Yoobao which has a silo in the spine which is spring loaded and makes storing and using the pen simple.

The pen is a novelty to me. My fingers work better for everything that I need to do. My daughter uses it to doodle and to me, that is its most useful feature.
Love my pen I can sign documents in email. Also scribble a lot on blueprints a forms.

Turn the tablet upside down. Silly but would work.
Pretty interesting so far.
It looks like the pen is useful to around 60% of users who have responded up to this point. Based on the responses in the thread I'm guessing these are mostly students or business users who use their flyer for note taking or similar tasks.
If that trend continues it would seem to be significant for those cooking cool new ROMs. I'm looking at you Virtuous
Count me in as one who likes the pen also, especially on HC.

I'm thinking odd getting that and want to know more about that spine feature. Does the springload pop the pen out? What keeps it from falling out of the spine?

The digitizer only works with the pen. Try it out and youll never want to go back
Ever since the upgrade to 3.2 I've found myself using the pen as my primary input source... While on 2.3 I just left the pen in my school bag and never used it... I love the pen now that it is actually useful...

S.Pen with touch screen PC's.

Yep. Wacom based. Tablet PC stylus will also work on the note. You can get a nice stylus with eraser for cheap on Ebay or Amazon.

That's cool seems Samsungs S pen isn't all that exclusive to our note. I assume it has something to do with what ever software on these products that register the pen. As I doubt those products have the same hardware as the note.

Can Microsoft Surface Pro Pen work?

I was wondering if there is any way to get the pen of the Surface Pro to work on our tab. Working at Staples I got a chance to try it but of course it did not work. Wondering if anyone with more knowledge could help out.

Also tried it out in one of the shops here. Actually feels that it works the same way as Samsung's Note series. So far no one have made it work as I suspect that our display responds to just purely capacitive touch.

Actually our tabs have the Atmel touch sensor and they are working on a stylus, mxts100, that should work with our tab. There is a YouTube video showing the stylus at work with a Verizon 10.1 tab. I have contacted then as well as their authorized retailers and no one can give me a release date or price this is the one thing our tab is missing, aside from JB, in order to be complete.
It would be nice if maybe someone would give the Surface Pro Pen a try and see if it could work with our tab.

Surface uses a wacom digitizer, just like the Note.

C-pen working

So I took a chance and ordered one of the Samsung C-pen to see if it works on the 8.4 and it does and it doesn't. For what I wanted it for, it works.

Can you expand on what exactly does and doesn't work?
Well you have to use a little more pressure than a regular capacitive pen. I didn't buy it the intention of taking notes or drawing with it. For me it was more tapping areas of the screen in my office doc's and such. That's why I sy works and it doesn't.
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
Yah I was hoping that it would be more useful than it is. I miss the s-pen and hope release a note 8.4
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
poetic capacitive stylus is more affordable
they both do the same thing
i usually go with the slightly more affordable option they seem to have done me good so far.
its just like a finger
u can use when ur wearing gloves
good for cold weather
http://www.poeticcases.com/capacitive-stylus-pen
What makes c pen different from s pen?
C-Pen is (Finger) touch only. and the S-Pen requires that screen have an additional wacom-like layer built-in to allow pressure-sensitive movements and pen hovering identification with the pen and the tablet screen.
So the s-pen won't work on our tablets ?

Unfortunately no. I tried with the note 10.1 spen and not worked.
Also, I tried with a regular pencil ( which works perfectly and nicely on the S5 ) , also not working with the tab pro ????

I've been using the Maglus(micro fiber tip) stylus on my tab pro 12.2.. Its the best stylus for capacitive touch screens out. Just read the Amazon reviews. Love it! I've been using it for note taking and drawing. :good:
