i was to update my phone neo v from Sony PC Companion 2.1 to Firmware 4.0.2A.0.69. and for now i can't Root by DooMLoRD_v4 Root software. i don't know why ? or it can support only firmware 4.0.2A.0.62 ?

i have read this guides : X10Flash 2.1 final & 2.1 Firmware (Update Regions 13.11.2010)
x10 Flash 2.1 Final + Global World Firmware 2.1
but in both says old 1.6 Firmware can not be flashed with this at the moment) should i first update to r2ba026 ?? or can i use any of this 2 guide to update directly?

And as I'm sure it's pointed out in them it's to flash 2.1 fw only, not 1.6.

Hi everyone who read my thread! I'm a new Android user.
I have read some threads about downgrade Xperia Neo from 2.3.4 (Build 4.0.2.A.0.62) to (Build 4.0.2.A.0.42) using FlashTool. And here I have some questions want to ask the expert users to confirm before doing the downgrade:
1. I need to unlock bootloader or not for using FlashTool ?
2. Am I be able to update the phone again via the phone official OTA update ?

i need Official firmware ICS 4.0.4 for my sony XPERIA U not rooted and simlocked !! build : 6.0.B.3.184
because :
1- it's newest version.
2- simple to root without Unlocking bootloader .
3- i'm gonna take it to repair tomorrow just to unlock sim !! so i dont wanna lose unlocking sim if one day i want to go to 4.0.4 !
so i need to do it before unlocking sim
so thank you ! i wish you give me a fresh link to download the Firmware for my phone ST25i
