The case on the website says its for the SAM2-N7000 I hope it will work for the I717 also.

Anyone get one yet?

The pictures on Otterbox.com show a solid screen protector so my guess is it will run double duty for AT&T and international

The design of the screen protector leads me to believe it's for both. Plus the commuter's page says it's for both. After reading the cases dimensions though, I'm waiting to try one in person before buying. I'm not sure if I can fit it in my pocket, it will add around 1/2 -1 inch both height wise and length wise

Otterbox Defender in our future?

I'm just curious whether we can expect a defender series for our device or the international version. The Skyrocket has been on the market less than both devices and already has 3 series of cases in multiple colors. Sort of clear who gets all the accessory love at this point.

I think someone on here asked Otterbox (use search) and they "do not have current plans" to make a Defender for the SII or something like that.
I bought a Seidio Active with holster. Seidio basically said the same thing and do not have any plans on making a Convert for the SII.
Sounds like the Ballistic case is your best bet (see below). I like the way the Otterboxes look though but only the Defender comes with a holster.

I have the otterbox commuter and I like it.

I would too. I personally don't mind the extra size at all. My Inspire 4G survived a motorcycle crash thanks to a defender case with no damage to the phone and just some scuffs to the silicon on the case. Took a spill between 30-40 with the phone in my pocket.

Preorder Otterbox Defender + Released Date

They taking preorder of Otterbox Defender for Galaxy Note for 39.99 instead of 59.99 at the official Otterbox online retail. Expect arrival date will be April 20, 2012 as stated in the website.
http://www.mobilecityonline.com/wireless/store/productdetail.asp?productid=29962
UPDATED (4/9/2012)
I just forgot about the physical button on the international Note. AT&T Note don't have one, but 4 touch button. The link above designed for the International N7000 only. Sorry, my bad!
I think they will going to release one for the AT&T Note the same day as International version.

There is no design difference between those 2. It still the same. The only difference is the processor. I don't think Otterbox going to break it down into 2 separate Note case. And beside, I have a Reiko case (which is close to otterbox quality) which is designed for N7000 and it fit just fine with the I717

If you look at picture "4" on "Myvoicecomm.com" for the "Galaxy Note Otterbox Defender Case"
myvoicecomm.com/cell-phone-mobile-device-accessory/170204/
(sorry a noob..cannot post links yet).
The screen protector has no cut out for the International version's home button. However, this seems to be the same model number: SAM2-N7000-20-E4OTR , posted on mobilecity. It could be possible that Otterbox might be using the same case for the International and AT&T version.
I hope it becomes available soon....I using the fake Otterbox from Amazon
For me, the silicon is just too slippery..and the buttons built in the silicon are way too small. Feels cheap...at least in my opinion.

Otterbox Defender for Galaxy Note Pictures

Alright ladies and gents...here it is: the Otterbox Defender for the Galaxy Note!
It's big, but it's sturdy. You can see from one of the pictures that besides the two larger snap-locks, there are 8 other smaller locks around the device. The rubber isn't super-grippy, but it has a good feel. You can also see that the entire front is covered with the built-in screen protector!
If anybody wants more pictures, just let me know!
Thanks 4 the pics...what website did u order from?

No and no. I just called customer service and talked to a couple of reps. They stated the defender has been in stock as early as May 5th but the webmaster is obviously not on his/her job. If i was sales director at otterbox, i would not be pleased.

so, anyone who got this case already, how is the screen shield look? Otterbox has had issues with other phone models where the screen protector made an "oily" type residue on the phone screen...Plus, I have one of those expensive Moshi Screen protectors on the Note now, and it would be nice to leave it on there, since its absolutely smudge free, and crystal clear..
thanks!

The screen?

My s3 screen is the perfect size for me feals like a mini tablet only problem is im worried it will break.

Dont worry man.
Its gorilla glass... wont break so easily.
I already dropped mine a hundred times. It hasnt got even a scratch.
Still, if you want to protect it that much, use a screen protector and put a case around your phone that covers your phone a little from front. This way, even if your phone falls, your screen will not have direct contact with ground and it wont break.
Bump lol.

Inside Scoop! Otterbox Commuter Update

I work at an AT&T in Ohio and we're getting Otterbox Commuter Cases for the e970 very soon. They're in stock at our distribution center just waiting for them to come to stores!
EDIT: bad news, we got the cases and they are definitely for sprint and we were instructed to send them back. Someone's in trouble -_-

Right, but considering the AT&T OG is larger than the Sprint version, meaning the cases won't fit each other, this is news.

Yeah - Looking for decent cases for it has been an adventure, to say the least. Especially for folks like me who really need a good solid protective one.
Talkin tap from dis here brainy fone
Diztronic FTW! My friend is ditching the otterbox for her HTC One X for a Diztronic case after seeing mine on my LGOG
I'm liking the diz case but for those who need superior protection or line of work requires lots of movement I move a lot of furniture a otterrbox is ideal. I got the best buy warranty so really if the front irc back breaks I'm going to get it replaced but for those who didn't get the warranty an letterbox is the best bet.
