It looks like the HBO GO app was updated May 4 to support ICS... I was wondering what will be needed to get this to run on our Touchpads?

I couldn't get the multitasking trick to work. Is there some extra special trick to getting that to work?
If we're lucky, maybe someone will come up with a hacked version with the device check removed.

Here's how it works on my touchpad:
Start HBOGo app. When not supported message comes up hit multitasking button and switch to another app. From there hit home button, then multitask and switch back to HBOGo. Not supported message is still up. Don't do anything for about 5, 7 seconds. Message disappears and app starts working.
Hopefully this helps.

LOL, typo. I must have been having a Dodgers moment.
Thanks for the Max Go as well. Both are operational with the same workaround. I still use a desktop enabled browser, even on the Touchpad, if I want to view the added features in combo with the stream. Those features are excellent on "The Game Of Thrones" for example.
I noticed the added feature support on the iPad app. I hope HBO/Cinemax will roll out a similar "tablet" app for android. Until then, I can make do with the files you provided.

Hey guys,
I wrote a screen capture app that works for my Atrix since I couldn't find one that worked that was on the market. Here is the first version so I am looking for suggestions/bugs/improvements, etc.
I've only tested it on the atrix because that is the only phone I have, but if you guys could test it on other phones and let me know if it works or not on them, then that would be great.
Edit: Finally posting a new version. *Should* address most of the issues/requests I've seen unless I forgot something. Still haven't had a chance to test on any other devices but it will actually display errors now so I can see why the devices are failing.
Version:
0.6 - Fixed some bugs, screenshots should show up right away in gallery now, added an option to shutdown the services after grabbing the screenshot.
0.8 - Fixed shake sensor bug, added option to invert colors to fix colors for some devices, and service should stay on after reboots.
0.85 - Fixes for some crash reports. Better support for other devices.
Also, I finally added the app to market for those who want to get automatic app updates. I'll still post newest versions here for those that prefer to download from xda.

so, what was the roadblock that was impeding capturing the screen with the actual programs? is it something tegra based? or was it something way easy? where did you find the information needed to make this?

go to internal storage and you should see a folder that says screenshots

Not sure exactly what the problem is, but when trying to read the framebuffer (/dev/graphics/fb0) directly I would get an error. Google provides /system/bin/fbread that grabs the framebuffer so it wasn't anything complicated to just call that to get the buffer.
Got the info from reading the tegra source code.
First bug I've ran into is it unexpecidently stopped running when I connected my phone to my computer in mass storage mode.

One bug or question. How do i stop it from taking any screenshots anymore? I unchecked first two options (enable screen capture and shake sensor) but it still take screenshots if I shake it. Not a big problem but thinking how many it will be taking when i go for run in the morning

Install COREDROID gingerbread Sense2.1 Rom (ONLY rom I've been using so far that works on Glacier....I've tried a few that I had Nandroids of)

Visit the Android market, find Netflix, then send it to your phone, installs over any leaked versions you may have had...viola, works perfectly
seems we've confirmed that if you're running Coredroid ROM above, you will be able to install Netflix and view everything perfectly from several users who have tried..no prop editing, no white screen, no problems with no video, etc
Not to mention, it's one of the best ROM's for the Glacier (minus the annoying video recording not working bug)

Working on my girls Nexus One running CM7 but I get the audio for a few seconds & then kicks back out to the white screen on my Glacier running CM7
Confirmed on a 2nd device that if you install the CoreDroid DesireS port, it will indeed work just fine

i will not install anything made by Rafyvitto. He had the ban hammer swung on him from XDA. I'm not going to support him.

I installed Modern Combat 2 HD from Samsung's Games Hub and it crashes after downloading all of the extra 249MB.
I tried to use Chainfire's CF3D driver with NVIDIA plugin but it didn't work as well.
Does this happen to anyone else?
I bought this game today and it runs fine on my Stock Galaxy S2.

I had issues running it, got force close errors all the time. Someone on another thread posted a work around.
Try to open it, after you get the fc dialog, click ok to get rid of dialog then hold the hardware home button for a couple of seconds. A list of recently opened apps will be displayed. Find the game here and open it. Should work from here

What Build number is everyone using? I am currently on KE2. It could be a bug that is build specific.
I'm running KE7 and this workaround works for me.

Er, why not just buy it at the Market? The version there is fully compatible with the SGSII, I have it on mine.
I bought it from Samsung GameHub. Everything there should work perfectly.

I don't really understand this comment? What's the difference between buying it on the market or off the Gameloft website?
It was available for £1 on the Gameloft website, which automatically picked up that my phone was an SG2... surely it should be fully compatible with SG2 if they are making it available to owners of the phone on their website?

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't load this. Other than wifi not working, you might as well if you want. It's super stable and fast as hell.
Is it just me or is the launcher the one from the phone? I don't see the standard "honeycomb/tablet" style launcher besides the status bar.

When you tap on the time it brings up the tablet launcher with all the notifications and settings.

Long pressing the homescreen doesn't bring up the overview and widget dragging utilities.
The app launcher is very reminiscent of the phone ICS builds.

I actually have market and all other google apps on but no Wifi for now.
Also adb is working so Side load apps its possible .
Wifi/SD still not working.
You just need to install the driver manually and adb will work.

This is the p4 version.. Working fine n smooth for me.
Just flashed on Xron after full wipe.
SD mouting to PC is not working in all ICS versions.
Wifi works fine, Market is fine, HD videos on SD card work fine with MX player(with armv7 codec), Side loading is fine too..
Had error, then booted to WebOS then restrted to Evervolv ICS fine (or just use http://classicnerd.net/betas/update-remove-MOBOOT-Entries.zip to update entries) Had to flash ICS twice.. YMMV

location settings is way off. I'm asking where restaurants are near me Anna keeps giving me restaurants near my work. If I ask where I am it tells me I'm at my office 15 miles away. I uninstalled the update. Went back to original settings. Re ask the same questions and got the same results. I checked Google now and it worked flawlessly from my exact location. S voice needs a lot of work.

You're also running an apk not made for your device. It may depend on other apps/resources that you don't have installed.
I'm a big s-voice hater, but I don't think you can judge the new version based on what you have.

Samsung turned off their server for the new site voice, they did a similar thing when the s3

I can confirm that Samsung turned off the server because I had it on my S3 over a week ago and it worked. They got wind it was being used and pulled the plug til release.

I saw a thread that had the keyboard apk, just search for s4. I would do it to post the link but I'm on my phone and we all know how useful the search function is on the app

If you would read the few posts of this thread, samsung turned off the server. To get the old one back re flash your rom.

I did read that and I have flashed from beans build 11 to 12 and I still have the s4 s voice
Should be able to just pull the old apk from another Rom, uninstall the current one and install the Note 2 version.
