[Q] Product codes GT-I9300 and GT-I9300T. Difference?. Which one to buy? - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

It looks like there are two different product codes: 9300 and 9300T. I wonder what are the differences between them, and which one should I purchase. I live in Spain, Europe.
Thanks.

Also maybe becoz of CSC as well?
push.... a little help?
help......
Heya, I don't know much at all about modems, but seeing as no one else has any ideas I thought I'd just suggest for you to take a look at this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1277593
The second post shows a comparison between all of the modems that he tested.
I flashed KI4 just because.
I haven't noticed any differences (yet. I haven't really tested it out much) but then again I didn't have issues to start with.
Maybe worth a try? 8)
I've also found this and decided to flash it, too.
(Something to do with GPS stuff)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1233256
Hope it helps!
I have been told local radio/baseband/modem will be better in terms of reception... not sure if that is true...
i'll give it a go anyway =]
In settings/about phone is your baseband 'dukf4'?

I'm using the I9100TDUKF4 modem with I9100 KJ3 firmware. Works well.
Give the Telstra I9100TDVKF2 modem a go. I found it better than the Vodafone modem for the I9100T.
Search for it in the Q&A forum.

Thanks all... I'm switching a lot of baseband today, KH3, KH4 is not good for T version S2s....
and yes, it was I9100TDUKF4 in basband before, that gave me an average speed and reception...
I have also aware that maybe the service provider will affect the reception, so my guess will be if for T version S2s, it has to be used different baseband when the phone is with Telstra and voda...
anyway i am using NEKF2 atm, the speed is amazing but the reception is again not much improved....

oh btw, i am living in Marsfied.... would that make a difference?
Yep! For i9100t it's best to use only the voda or telstra modems. I use kf4 on my telstra version running optus sim.
Does anyone have a cwm version of the telstra modem?

[Q] ICS for GT-I9100T

Hi,
Does anyone know of an ICS ROM for the Galaxy S2 GT-I9100T model?
You can use any rom for the I9100. Makes no difference.
Just flash your i9100t modem back on ics works for me.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Hi, thanks for your reply.
I already installed an ICS ROM intended for the regular model, and it is very very buggy. The internet connection is very bad.
I did some research on the Web and what I understand it's a problem with the modem. The modem for the T model is different.
I'm in Israel on the Pelephone network.
Hi 7t
I wrote my comment just as you wrote yours, so I didn't see it.

wondering. thought that it would have, because of i9100T ,.. but apparently just orange UK (and france) have it. then you can install any i9100 you want.
I9100T doesnt mean nfc it is optimized for 850 mhz network.

As 7tOny4 says, the T thing is about the modem, nothing to do with NFC.
No NFC in Israel anyway.
Thanks anyway.
I have a GT-I9100T and have been using various ICS roms, including the CM9 nightlies, for the past month or so. At the moment, I'm running Resurrection Remix.
The modems included in the latest roms have all worked fine for me, so all I've had to do is re-add the appropriate APNs If for some reason it doesn't work with the included modem, just flash a modem file from your carrier or another local carrier that uses similar frequencies.
There's a collection of modem files from different carriers globally on this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1131950
With the official release of ICS today, I expect that we'll be seeing updates to all of the main one-off roms within the next few days, including updated kernels and modems.
I have a gs2 i9100T and running remix ICS 9.6. It is fast, smooth and stable.

Need help. Australia I9300T???

Guys i just don't understand the difference between international S3 and Australia Vodafone S3 with code T
Does anyone figure out any differences?
And are there any customised roms that fit this type of S3?
Thx
No difference for development purpose. Both are same. Only difference is that T version is more customised for 850 networks.
The only thing you need to make sure is to use modem version that is more suitable to your network. But that does not mean that other modems can brick your device.

From reports I have read on Whirlpool, with the Galaxy S2 there was no improvement on the 'T' version on Telstra, but Telstra actually 'detuned' the 900mhz channel....
I had issues on Telstra with my non- T version S2, losing connection in my kitchen etc.... I used a friends 'T' version- absolutely no difference, the same asu etc right next to each other, same data rate, same issue of people not hearing me from my kitchen...
I know that is not discussing the S3, but it wouldn't surprise me if there is no difference at all, just marketing a way to promote some sort of exclusivity. When I was on Telstra with the S2, other modems than the Telstra one actually gave me better data rates...

Now my I9300T is under the 2-year contract with Vodafone. The net lock hasn't unlocked yet.
Is there anything I should do before flashing any rom I want? I mean do I have to crack the net lock before flashing via odin or CWM?
Just got mine today from vodafone.. unlocked it in 30min.. did a SIM swap @ Telstra. Got home flashed cfroot the revolution hd superwipe then revolution hd2.2
Sending you this message from it right now

Cool and thx:good:
Actually I'm just from I9000 which I used for 2 years. It seems that the ways of flashing roms through odin or CWM are excetly same.
I'm new here. Looks like XDA has several forums for different versions of S3 (ATT, T-mobile, etc). So next time when I want to find some roms or discuss with you guys, shall I post in the forum named "Samsung Galaxy S III I9300" or other S3 forum with a specific tele company name ?

korean gs3 roms

Are the roms like cm10 and others compatible with the korean gs3 as they have the same hardware?
Apparently most i9300 roms work on the 3g model although you need to flash a different kernel.
Would refer to the korean s3 thread on this forum.

Go to the Korean s3 thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749214 i am pretty sure that will help you become a flashaholic as i had the korean version of s3: shw-m440s, i used to convert a lot of kernels for that model.
Cheers!
