Installation:
To install Semi - reboot into CWM recovery and install the .zip file that you downloaded from the links above.
Note that you must already have a CWM kernel installed.
BEWARE: Do NOT use any factory kernel, or any kernel if you are uncertain if it has been checked for eMMC brick code.
In the event that you do not already have a CWM kernel installed, please read this a few times and make sure you understand the information it contains before proceedinghttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1288112.
==================================================
Here is a link to my Github with kernel source. .
Please note that , unless it is in my Github, any other kernel that I release here is a simple port of the original creators work (Gokhanmoral or Entropy512). The ONLY changes I have made from their sources are the following changes made to /arch/arm/configs/(def_config_file);
Code:
[SIZE="6"]LOCALE==NAATT
SND_SOC_MC1N2_MIC_SWAP=N[/SIZE] (or Y for MicSwap kernels).
Any kernel I release will be completely safe from the "Brick Bug".
==================================================
Thanks to:
RockRatt
yoderk
Entropy512
Gokhanmoral
Everyone who gave support, suggestions and constructive criticism.
==================================================
If you have ANY problems, do a full wipe...

Siyah kernel v5.1.1 NoSwap For Semi and anything with ULCE5 base. *Also supports the latest AT&T 4.0.4 release*
Siyah kernel v5.1.1 MicSwap For JellyBam 4.0.0, AoCP 4.6, CM10, AOKP, AllianceROM etc.
After installing this kernel, be sure that you enter CWM recovery --> kernel specific options --> Reset Stweaks profiles
These kernels do NOT work on the latest Samsung JB ROMs.
They also DO NOT WORK on Android 4.2 ROMs.
Source code is available here.

I would like to see the results of this and hear how it works out. I was about to start running CM9 but have not decided yet.

So did they "fix" the expanded homescreen wallpaper thing? Or is it still limited to the size of one portrait screen?

Running very well.

What's the best way to flash this without flashing the kernel? I already have LD3 installed and running the most recent Siyah which is likely compatible anyways.

Thanks AJ!

Flash the rom then re-flash Siyah kernel immediately after.

Cool. I guess it could go without saying but I'll ask anyways. Does flashing this mandate a wipe or is it a no-wipe style CWM package?

Like I said it goes without saying and I agree. I did go ahead and finally just look at the update script in the package and it looks like it recursive deletes the system folder anyways.

not just system, you should wipe data too

Yea. That's the plan. I'll save it for when I have more time later on. I'm kinda curious if they fixed the gallery app to allow scrolling wallpaper and not just the fixed variety.

It will offer a choice of things like, replace/add launchers (nova, trebuchet, xperia s etc), Change bootanimation, Add reverted Gapps(black), Different kernel choices (dormanx/siyah, with extweaks in settings vs xxtweaker etc) Bravia engine addon, beats addon.. Stuff like that, working on it now, and will release with Rebel AOKP 1.3

he is using hydra sources, he hasn't added a comma in sources, it's net chip work compiled, only that. He hasn't added anything. Anyway netchip work is aokp + cm9 but at least he managed how to merge code to have an aokp in sgs2.
Is there emoij integration?

Well it has been 3 minutes prior to my previous post so forgive me if I'm not too detailed.
Everything seems to be working fine, I guess. I mean the bugs that exist, exist in CM10. So we can't do anything about that. All in all, pretty good. Will have to test for battery later on in order to see if it meets my standards or normal standards for that matter..
Thanks
Why isn't this based on the 26th build? It should be better, no?

Well be that as it may, some people could get confused with these following lines:
"Kernel:
- Siyah 3.4.1
- Dorimanx 5.3
- CM10 Kernel"
It just seems like you're saying that we can use all 3 of these kernels if desired.
No problem for users who read but for those who don't, it could be a problem.
With regards,

Dont use dorimanx or siyah.. com.android.phone force closes on both kernels.. did not grab a logcat since i switched back to mcm cm10.1 build.. probably the kernels need some patches to support this rom..
anyways the rom works great with stock kernel..
hi,
video camera doesn't work good . in the beginning the record button didn't responded, changed power shutter in the settings to on (what this option does btw?) and then it recorded , but when tried to watch the video the gallery fc'ed and the camera shows gray screen .
i flashed the rom with full wipe and format system and didn't changed the kernel

Thanks, exactly what happened, com.android.phone crashes, and as a 2nd note it did not work well when dual-booting with another ROM, it installed the SlimGapps over the 1st ROM too, and forced Kernel changing to CM10 one, I believe.
MCP
Any init.d script for gpu voltage?
Edit: surely the patched Siyah from MCM would work?
only thing I've noticed so far.
Screen goes off, press home button, screen comes back on and app closes.
We seem to be missing the lockscreem delay
Too bad, wanted to try out this rom next to my daily rom as dualboot. Waiting for next dorimanx
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
Its working fine so far with the stock kernel.
I used pimp my rom and now it feels a little bit smoother.
Great work!!

iv just installed the patched siyah v5 from mcm which looks to be working but init.d scripts not working.
edit: i may have fixed the init.d issue. a few lines were missing from the install script in the rom, i think?

Looks great, flashed and will report in a couple of days.
I would love to see a MMS version which has a fully customizable theme (like on RootBox).

Silly question since all these days I have been flashing Rom and gapps and now planning to give this phone to my parents who don't know a thing about internet so just installing Rom without gapps phone will be functional correct me if I am wrong what issues I might face if gapps not installed. Than you for the great Rom faryaab.

Does this require the TOUCH version of CWM or will the normal CWM recovery work as well as longer as it is higher than version 6.0.3.2?
Flashed but I can't figure out how to change the options to show what options you can add from the pull down screen.
Is it possible to change/add/delete any of these options on this screen?

ohh? A new super nexus?!? interesting. anybody given it a go yet? I loved SuperNexus 2.0, got worried when there were no updates to 3.0.
google dialer would be a cool addition to supernexus.
I installed this, but it would not allow me to install anything. It would get stuck at installing when doing so from the Play Store.

Installed fine and it pulled down and restored all my apps. I also installed one or two apps from the play store no problem. Installed a few apps by manual apk install.

Hi. What was your CWM version when you were flashing this ROM?
I checked here http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager that the latest TOUCH version for i777 is 6.0.1.0
I was on cwm 6.0.4.4 standard and it worked fine. I did not have the touch version installed. After flashing it is 6.0.4.5 standard version installed.

you need to have the latest CWM recovery installed, usually people do this by just flashing the latest CM 10.2 nightly (that's what I do) lol. I have one sitting on my SD card most of the time. Afterwards, just reboot INTO recovery, do a complete wipe, then install the ROM =D
First of all thank you the awesome Rom, I had few issues.
1. Trying to shoot a video freezes the camera every time.
2. Charged fully and left it stand by and it drained to half in 2 hours just sitting in stand by and it almost 4 hours to fully charge from 20%.
3. For some reason I have a home and home3 launcher and I set home as default and when I restart it switches to home3 launcher and even the listing in settings has moved up/down.
4. Animations are too slow.

I don't have CM 10.2 nightly but I have SuperNexus-3.0-i777-BUILD1
Do you know what the CWM version of this ROM is?
If it is higher than 6.0.3.2, I will try to flash it first before I flash SN 4.0
Currently I'm on SN 2.0
Thanks.

Superuser must be flashed as the recovery script is still intact. Fashing SU in the same session will prevent the recovery being overwritten.
If /system is mounted in recovery, you may get an error flashing the gapps package. Just unmount the /system partition and flash gapps again.
1.) Perform factory reset
2.) Flash ROM, GAPPS, and latest SuperSU
3.) Reboot
4.) Profit

Yep. Its only 163 because gapps are not included (since it is source built and not based on the factory image like other ROMs posted). So be sure to flash the gapps linked. Any will do, but I prefer the PA version as it is most up to date.
Let me know what you think. Aside from what is listed as not working, it is fully functioning.

Yep! OG Evo it was. Made Unchained on that years ago based on CM 7. Last time I did any sort of development for a device. Wow that was a long time ago lol.
I get this after flashing the ROM:

Guessing TWRP and you had wiped the system partition. If you wipe system it mounts that partition. Restart back in to recovery and flash again or go back to the main recovery screen, select mounts and unmount system then flash again :good: I will put in a command to unmount system before flashing in the script so this error can be avoided.

To confirm, unmounting system fixed it? Or did you reboot back to recovery and flashed again?
In regards to the app, yeah I noticed that too. Typically, it auto downloads everything when you run the same ROM. Any future updates to the same ROM will still save the info, so when you wipe and flash to the same ROM but an updated version, it will automatically restore. In this case, it is a brand new ROM and a start over is basically all that can be done. Once you've set everything up it should automatically restore on any subsequent build I put out. Best thing I can suggest in the future is titanium backup so you can restore app and app data. :good:
It is also one way to tell who is using the same base.
