The main idea behind SuperNexus is to provide stock Android experience, just like how Google intended it to be. SuperNexus is entirely built from Google's AOSP source. A lot of improvements and optimisations have been done to the Google's Source Code to have the best possible Vanilla Android Experience. SuperNexus is very light too as there are no 3rd party apps (ZERO Bloatware).

Well happy holidays to you too!

The download link makes or take forever to download the ROM. Been 2 minutes at 1%.

Dang! Christmas Eve?!?! Thanks Santa!

Silly question since all these days I have been flashing Rom and gapps and now planning to give this phone to my parents who don't know a thing about internet so just installing Rom without gapps phone will be functional correct me if I am wrong what issues I might face if gapps not installed. Than you for the great Rom faryaab.

Does this require the TOUCH version of CWM or will the normal CWM recovery work as well as longer as it is higher than version 6.0.3.2?

Flashed but I can't figure out how to change the options to show what options you can add from the pull down screen.
Is it possible to change/add/delete any of these options on this screen?

ohh? A new super nexus?!? interesting. anybody given it a go yet? I loved SuperNexus 2.0, got worried when there were no updates to 3.0.

google dialer would be a cool addition to supernexus.

I installed this, but it would not allow me to install anything. It would get stuck at installing when doing so from the Play Store.

Installed fine and it pulled down and restored all my apps. I also installed one or two apps from the play store no problem. Installed a few apps by manual apk install.

Hi. What was your CWM version when you were flashing this ROM?
I checked here http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager that the latest TOUCH version for i777 is 6.0.1.0

I was on cwm 6.0.4.4 standard and it worked fine. I did not have the touch version installed. After flashing it is 6.0.4.5 standard version installed.

you need to have the latest CWM recovery installed, usually people do this by just flashing the latest CM 10.2 nightly (that's what I do) lol. I have one sitting on my SD card most of the time. Afterwards, just reboot INTO recovery, do a complete wipe, then install the ROM =D

First of all thank you the awesome Rom, I had few issues.
1. Trying to shoot a video freezes the camera every time.
2. Charged fully and left it stand by and it drained to half in 2 hours just sitting in stand by and it almost 4 hours to fully charge from 20%.
3. For some reason I have a home and home3 launcher and I set home as default and when I restart it switches to home3 launcher and even the listing in settings has moved up/down.
4. Animations are too slow.

I don't have CM 10.2 nightly but I have SuperNexus-3.0-i777-BUILD1
Do you know what the CWM version of this ROM is?
If it is higher than 6.0.3.2, I will try to flash it first before I flash SN 4.0
Currently I'm on SN 2.0
Thanks.

[RECOVERY][CM10, PA, CM10.1, AOSPA] TWRP 2.4.1.0 Touch Recovery [2013-02-04]

What is TWRP?
Team Win Recovery Project 2.4, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. It’s a fully touch driven user interface – no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel. For more info click here: http://teamw.in/project/twrp2
This is a 100% stock CM10/CM10.1 Kernel with TWRP recovery added in place of the standard ClockworkMod Recovery. Nothing more, nothing less!
I will build these on a weekly basis or whenever a significant change is made to the CM or TWRP code

-Backups will now store a copy of the backup log after the backup is completed (only if backup is successful)

-Support for decrypting Samsung TouchWiz encrypted devices including internal and external storage (special thanks to a3955269 for figuring it out)
-Improvements to OpenRecoveryScript including displaying a proper GUI while the script is running

-Other minor bugfixes and improvements
NOTE: 2.4.0.0 is, as always, still compatible with your older backups!

-Better handling of mounting storage during boot for some devices
-Fixed a problem with sizes of images (boot & recovery) after resetting defaults
-Fixed size errors during backup for some devices on recovery, etc.
-Fixed a problem with restoring backups when multiple archives were present
CHANGELOG for 2.3.0.0:
-Rebased onto AOSP Jelly Bean source code
-Rewrote backup, restore, wipe, and mount code in C++ classes for easier maintenance going forward
NOTE: backups from prior versions of TWRP are still compatible with 2.3
-ADB sideload functionality from AOSP is included in 2.3, see this link for more info
-Re-wrote fix permissions entirely in C++ and runs in a few seconds instead of a few minutes (thanks to bigbiff)
-Improvements to zip finding in OpenRecoveryScript (should be a lot fewer GooManager automation issues)
-Faster boot times
-Added charging indicator while in recovery (only updates once every 60 seconds)
DOWNLOAD:
The fastest and easiest way to install TWRP is to use the GooManager app:
Play Store Link
Direct Download
1) Install GooManager from the Play Store
2) Open GooManager and provide root permissions
3) Hit Menu (or the button with the 3 dots on your screen) and then Install OpenRecovery
I do not currently have a Goo.im account but am in the process of applying. Builds will be uploaded to file sharing websites and links attached below until I have been approved for a goo.im account. Please feel free to mirror any of my kernels.
My build machine takes about an hour to build both kernels so assume that both TeamWin and CM repos were synced an hour before the quoted time.

CM10 (and Utacka's PA): CM10_TWRP_04Feb2013_1040.zip
CM10.1 (and AOSPA): CM10.1_TWRP_04Feb2013_1053.zip
How to install?
Download Kernel, reboot recovery, nandroid backup, flash kernel, ENJOY!!
BUGS:
If you have found a bug, please consider posting it to the TWRP github issues log or contacting the team on their IRC channel below. You can also post in the thread and I will offer whatever help I can and/or forward on concerns to the TWRP team.

FAQ
I will add to this FAQ as time goes on but I have added a few questions below:
Can I have x patch added to the kernel? Can you add OC/UV etc.
Unfortunately this is currently beyond my level of skill and likely will be for the foreseeable future. I also do not want to be in the position of building multiple kernels one with OC and one without. If you want a change made to the kernel, speak to the CM team.
Will this work with Paranoid Android?
Yes, use the CM10 kernel for Utacka’s PA build. When AOSPA is released you should use the CM10.1 kernel.
Will this work with a Touchwiz Rom?
In short, no.
Can you build a Touchwiz Kernel with TWRP please?
Sorry but no again. There are just too many versions to build and I never use Touchwiz ROM’s so have little incentive.
GPL/How to build this kernel
This kernel was built using the instructions on this page http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=32965365.

You will need to flash CM10.1 first, then flash this kernel second. Flashing a CM nightly will replace this kernel with the CM stock kernel. You will need to reflash this kernel after flashing each nightly.

This thread is very quiet??
There was 100 downloads of the first first builds and 26 so far of the 23/01/13 builds but no real discussion.
Is there much interest in TWRP? Do people want me continue to build and upload?
I am not asking expecting praise etc. just suprised that the thread seems like a ghost town?
You characterized this recovery by "ease of use, customization, touch driven ui, themable, possibility of changing every aspect of L&F". And I think it's a fantastic piece of developer work.
N7000 is a "dangerous" device of the brick bug. With recovery you can make very bad mistakes also.
For my person I do not need the features above. I only want absolute safety and reliability when using recovery.
No "Schnick-Schnack", only the standard set of functions (backup, restore, format, update etc.).
That's why I wouldn't use (and especially never test) another recovery mechanism - with the CWM based approach I have already a working one.

Re: [ROM] [AOSP][LINARO] LIQUIDSMOOTH JellyBean [4.2.1] Beta 3.1 [t0ltecdma] » Jan 20
The file size seem small at 104mb when most roms cm10 or aokp is 148 so hmmm cant wait to use this
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda premium
the file size is correct.
try factory reset again after flashing. i've heard that might be required.
First time installing a 4.2 based AOSP ROM to your Galaxy Note 2 LTE (CDMA), or coming from another ROM:
- Read known issues ans FAQs
- Flash the latest official ClockworkMod-Recovery
- Copy GApps and liquid ZIPs to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash liquid zip from SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)
- Reboot
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!
if that works i'll add it to the OP
The device listed when you click on the download link is the SPRINT version.
Is this perhaps the problem? Is there a different one for the Verizon build?
They're the same. That's why it says VZW/Sprint.

Freaking awesome!!!
I'm abroad right now and I'll be home later tomorrow night. Can anyone currently flashing the ROM chime in on the GPS and Bluetooth situation once they see how it goes? The GPS on 4.2.2 has never, not once, locked EVER. (Although it worked very well on 4.1.2).
brilliant .. thanks for the rom
Does this ROM have profiles similar to CM10.1?

How's the battery life and performance on it compared to 4.2.2? Currently, Dorimanx kernel can't work right? Just want to clarify before I flash it.

Whoa, awesome to see a new build for this rom. 2.0 is all I've been using for the last few months. Look forward to giving 4.3 a shot!
Of Course! I just did a fresh install of 2.0 milestone 1 yesterday and an hour customizing .. seems like battery was draining exceedingly fast with it though. Might as well install this before I get to comfortable. THANKS!!

Actually we do have CM10.2 official nightlies over at get.cm but they're quite buggy and have weird graphical glitches in certain applications.
Ooh exciting! I want to try it but I absolutely rely on bluetooth and it hasn't worked well in any aosp based ROM that I've tried for this phone.
Has anyone tested bluetooth in this ROM?
Thanks

Yep tested bluetooth with my bose earpiece that does both phone and media audio a2dp. Works great!
Battery life is doing great at this point... 2h 26m 43s on battery.. with 97 percent. Mostly standby but a little usage.. what I like is the phone's runs really cool with this rom. I was runnnig The last version/milestone 1 and phone seemed to be warm all the time and battery life was bad. So far so good with this rom.. running slicker than snot!
EDIT----- just noticed the cool screenshot selection when holding the power button.. here's my battery life thus far.

anybody else having root issues? i had it at first but after a few reboots i lost root privilege...also i was looking for the root access options in developer options and wanted to change it to apps/or apps and adb but i guess this rom doesn't have that option? only reason why i bring that up is because i had to do it with Helly Bean jb 4.3 to get back root privilege.
edit:
dirty flashed superNexus and gapps, got my root privilege back
So excited to see this. Thanks faryaab!

Hi all! I returned to this rom after a couple of disappointing experiences elsewhere. I was excited to find this version. I have two issues I'm hoping someone knows how to fix.
1. I don't know/can't remember how to make the backlight for the hard keys stay on while the screen is on. I remember having "galaxy s2 settings" as a separate function/app? at one point where the delay could be set to never but I no longer have those settings (and can't figure out after searching where it even came from).
2. How to keep nfc turned off so it doesn't use battery. Checking, the option does not persist.

Can't flash it mate. Keeps giving me an error on CWM recovery when trying to install. Re-downloaded again, tried installing it from the internal SD card and still the same error.

No. Any AOSP ROM using the 3.4 kernel (including this one) is compatible with the latest touch panel driver, so no downgrade is necessary.

Are hardware keys working?
is there any way to center the clock and change the battery icon and stuff..?? Also what about remapping the hardware buttons..?? Thanks..
Yeah, unfortunately without any way of remapping hardware keys, we can't access all apps settings menus. Pretty smooth though. Hopefully that can be fixed
That seems to be a trend. Is it because they are ported?

loaded the rom. on a device without sprint coverage. typically I can click skip and move beyond to connect to WiFi, however this time I looped back to the Welcome Screen. Im gonna reflash - gapps as a quick workaround just letting you know. Thanks for getting 4.3 to us so fast! Definitely appreciate being able to play with 4.3
Seems like a great Rom. I'll be checking it out soon. One question though, does MHL work?
