I feel a USB A socket to USB Micro A plug cable is a must-have accessory. Amazon.com has the Sony SGPUC1 cable listed for $9.98 USD.

Because of no Gorilla Glass, indeed. Take a screen protector.
I never used one, and I have a little dent in the screen. Nothing serious though (using a non-official case though)

PS3 controller. Got one and use sixaxis from google play and i can use the controller with virtually ALL games. Fifa12 with the controller is fantastic. People just stare at it when im out and about. Brilliant.

Got the usb cable as have got galaxy s2
Which screen protector do you recommend loads in market,
Any one recommend a case for this
Im going to get the sony dock as well
Thanks

i want a skin or cover
with which i can put the tablet on the dock
i mean dont have to take the skin off
thanks
any comments /suggestions

got this case from amazon and its perfect. Fits well and ALL the essential points are accessible.
EDIT. Just seen your last post, I dont have the dock so Im not sure if the case will fit with it.

thanks
but it says there is no cut out for the ir port
is that true
dont want to take the cover off cause want to control my other 4 sony products as well with this one
any one who has tried one and the cover has got all the ports usable
thanks

sorry about that.there is a cut out but never tried it until now and to my surprise it doesnt work.sorry

I have the same case (or at least very similar). I cut an additional 1.5" square next to the microphone opening (for the IR). now the ir function works just fine, and you cannot really tell that I modified the case. I do really like this case because it is inexpensive but, keeps all of the ports accessable. I think if you are using a dock you would probably have to take it out of the case.
I highly recommend a SDXC card (64gb - 128gb), you will have to format SD to fat32. Once it is formatted suddenly I have tons of space on my 16gb tablet.
Dillenger-

buy a case for sure, a screen guard
An OTG cable, a cool headset and a tablet dock
Cool deivce

I use the official cradle every day. It replaced my alarm clock actually. It's just so convenient to drop and charge instead of fiddling with a cable. And you can switch between brightness settings just by touching the screen so that it doesn't light up the room at night.

picked up this case for mine, its a good case with IR port cutout, although i do wish i got a tuff-luv one, build quality is far superior.

This is such a personal list. Each of us have different needs and desires. I will list what I have.
1- SD Card. Kind of obvious.
2- Slip-in soft case. I have a Swiss Gear case that has an extra pocket up front.

It already comes with a screen protector on the screen.

I got this case from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Premium-Leather-Screen-Protector-Stylus/dp/B006QQVU5Q/ref=pd_cp_pc_2 and it works pretty well, doesn't have the ir port and don't fit into the cradle, but it's pretty easy to take off.

Anyone found a decent bluetooth mouse that works with the tablet?

sdxc card

Hey, u sure sdxc card can be used on the tablet s? All I need to do is format it to fat 32?
I've been meaning to buy a 64gb sdxc but im worried it might not work with my tablet so I settled for a 32gb sdhc.
I need confirmation and advise from users with experience. Thanx.
Ow yeah, I have the matte screen protector and the official cover from sony (asia pacific region). Now all I need is a stand.

I just got my 64gb sdxc card today and formatted it to FAT32 and it works like a charm. You'll just have to use some tools to format, cause windows won't let you. I used h2format.
Topic: as I just got my tab on Saturday, I just own spoken sdxc card and otg adaptors. Plan on getting a nice case with stand-option.

Hey guys I just ordered this and will let you know how I go:
http://wap.ebay.co.uk/Pages/ViewIte...l?ViewItem&item=140460255965&autoredirect=off
It's a case for the Zt-180. I checked and the measurements of the Zt-180 and gtab are very similar. I am fairly sure it will fit and I can see in the pic that the corner loops look to be elastic as well.
It should effectively fit similar to that kindle one others have been buying but the corner loops will be more flexible hopefully meaning that there is no need to cut off one corner like the kindle one.
Hi BAM,
I'd love to know how did it go with your case . I've got the same idea but since you are ahead of me so can i get a bit of feedback please.cheers..
Is it this one?
eBay link: http://cgi.ebay.com/10-Leather-Case...ltDomain_0&hash=item483eb6c286#ht_1763wt_1139
$12.79 with free shipping.
Size: 10.6" x 7.09" x 0.59"
It has a stand built in as well. Since it's not that expensive, I went ahead and bought it, along with this bluetooth keyboard/touch pad combo:
http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Rii-Mini-Wi...ltDomain_0&hash=item4cf4a653c5#ht_6664wt_1200
$38 + $10sh, $48 total.
All in all, $60 spent. I also bought two docks from it2steve, I'm planning on setting up one dock on my nightstand, and then another dock in my living room for my tv. Then I could sit on the couch and type/control the tablet using the bluetooth device above. That's my logic at least, we'll see how it plays out.
I can see that set up you have working fine except the HDMI picture quality is lacking. Wish it output a better 1080p image to the screen via the dock. I also wish we can have profiles for the docked and undocked state. Let's say we have a way of automatically disabling the Wi-Fi, Adjust the brightness, enable blue tooth and enabling the HDMI all when in the docked state...now that would be great. But I still do like the dock.
All, remember that the quality of the 1080p playback will depend on the encoding used to create the video on the gTab to begin with. If i remember several posts by Robeet and others, high profile will not work on the Tegra2 CPUs, and we've already condensed the quality of the original to scale down to fit the 10" screen.
If you are expecting the lower quality to be upscaled, I think you'll be sorely disappointed.
I just received this case and so far it's not bad. I like that it hides the buttons on the right that I'm always pressing by accident and getting kicked out of whatever I'm in. The stand is not as sturdy as I'd like but it works. For the price, this is worth it for me.

Well I just bought one of those cases although it looks like it covers the camera port so I may need to do some modifying but great deal nonetheless. Hopefully it fits the tablet snug.

Nah its not that case.
I am still waiting on delivery as I bought it through ebay uk and I live in australia. It takes ages for UK items to arrive.
The case I bought has corner loops just like the kindle dx case but from the picture i saw it looks like the corner loops are half elastic hopefully eliminating the issue that the dx owners have had.
The measurements however look almost spot on.
Will definitely update soon. I expect the case to arrive this week. Fingers crossed!
Should look like this:
http://www.digibite.co.uk/ebay_img/10_cases/lc_no2_5 (Small).jpg
BAM
It fits perfectly! Like a glove!
There's no cutting stretching or modifying required. As I suspected the loops are part leather part elastic so it hugs the corners with enough freedom to access everything. Power plug still accessible, USB and sdmicro ok, and nothing else is blocked.
The leather is firm but feels soft. There's a slide in tag rather than a button/buckle to keep it closed. It works well and means your not pressing against the screen.
I'll post up pics in a day or so as I'm cutting into drinking time now.
ZT-180 case
I have an ePad ZT-180 (which died). I think it is the same as the aPad. It came with a leatherette folding case that has a built-in keyboard. It is an exact fit. Not only that but the USB keyboard works with the G-tablet. One of the clamps interferes with access to the USB port but a few nibbles with nibbling tool made a notch big enough for the USB connector an still left it functional for holding the tablet in place. - Jim
does it work as a stand?
No it's just a folio type case not doubling as a stand.
And i've updated the first post with pics to show how it looks.

Best Messenger Bag For Our Transformer?

recommendations please!
I've been using this for a few months: http://www.amazon.com/Targus-CityGear-Motorola-Samsung-TSM148US/dp/B004H605OY
I usually have the transformer (sometimes docked), wii mote, hdmi cable, charger, cell phone charger, (micro) sd card, flash drives, and a zune hd.
If you live near a BestBuy you can check it out there.
i'm looking for bags that
look like that:
http://www.amazon.com/CaseCrown-Ver...3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1317732240&sr=1-3
donnie888: Thanks for the tip, looks really good!
I was using a messenger bag for a while and got tired of knocking around into people when I'm riding the DC metro to work. I switched to an old mono sling bag that fits my transformer ', umbrella, accessories, cigarettes, and other miscellaneous. Items

i use this one and love it. good luck

I originally got it for my 10" dell ultraportable but my girlfriend has since been using it for the TF+dock and she loves it. Its the predecessor to the ALPHA. They also make one for "ipad" that focuses on the tablet only.

I also have this bag. I like that there are separate padded slots for the dock and the tab if you don't want to keep them together, along with space and pockets for plenty of other accessories. As a Targus product, I expect it to last awhile, as well.

I bought this one: http://gimme.com.au/product/targus-10-dot-2-unofficial-netbook-case-brownlimited-lifetime-tss141us in a store local here in Toronto. It was thier last one and I cant seem to find it on Targus' website so maybe it is last years product.
Either way it is big enough to hold a few things that I carry around including the transformer, it is padded, and it is not too big as to detract from the fact that I bought a tablet.
And as my wife says "The colour even matches! "

+ another 1 for this bag. Plenty of room for accessories (stylus, charging cable & brick). Check around....I picked it up at Office Max on sale for $20.00.
I'm currently using the Vanguard Up-Rise 38. It holds everything for me. My transformer, dock, cables, laptop, anywhere MX mouse, laptop charger. Now when I'm just going around the city my laptop and laptop charger stays home and I can use the extra space to hold a drink, books, camera. Basically, I absolutely love it.

I'm also using this bag as well since I'm always out and about in Atlanta and use my tablet primarily for drawing (Sketchbook Pro) and reading comics! Great bag imo.
Update....just realized mine is slightly different than the previous one posted. The one I actually have is this one from Target for $29.99-
http://www.target.com/p/SwissGear-Mono-Sling-Black/-/A-11149390
love my Targus
I ran across the Targus City Gear bag at Microcenter right after I got my TF. It's great. The padded compartments make me feel safe whether I'm docked or not, and there's lots of room for my portable hdd, mifi hotspot, adapters, and my other tech support tools.
I'm looking to get a bag for my TF. But I need it to be very very water resistant as I live in a place that sometimes gets flash rains. And I prefer sling bags or small bags because, as another poster said, messenger pags are always getting bumped into people and doors. Any suggestions are appeciated.
took a few pics of my swiss bag. Just enough room for an umbrella and TF. You cant really see it in the pics but the bottom kind of "pops out" or expands to allow more room also.
It has been through a few of our DC "random" rains and there was not a drop of water in the bag. Did a fantastic job.

the engineers of asus should think more......

I think there is a big engeneering mistake and users should be aware and take care.
When put the sd card in the slot it will stick out to much so when touch it or put it in a bag or whatever the sd card will com3 out of the slot.
After many times put it back because not see the card sign in the i finally lost it.
Told my gf and said well u did not put the card good in the sl she said and showed me there was nocard sticking out of the slot....
I said well get it out and i show you how it fits in mine.........
Guess what ?????????????????
Good guess she also lost her card same way. Besides the loss of 2x times 50 euro for a 10 class card.our data is onthe street !!!!!!!!!!!!
Asus did a bad job we think.
So all pay attention to this.
So for the new cards wewill put some tape over it so we cant loose it anymore.
Other sugestions????????
Grtz
Not an ideal solution, but I too noticed the fact that the card stuck out some.
As such I took a razor and shaved the edge of the card down, I need to use my nail to push the card in now and it seats flush against the side of the tab.
I've accidentally unmounted the sd card with my palms a couple times.. It's almost as annoying as accidentally pressing the sd icon and unmounting it through software. I wish it didn't pop up. I'm aware I have a sd card inserted.. I don't need a notification for it!

I've only bumped mine once , and also agree about the sd card access point , i prefer to use my apps to view files opposed to the icon on the bottom, so far the worst thing is the little rubber cover that gets lost every time i have to charge..

BUY SMALLER SD CARDS DUH! THEY MAKE MANY SIZES FRACTIONS OF AN INCH IN SIZE EVERYTHING IS BASED ON MICRO SD STANDARDS SO FIND ON SMALLER OR JUST SPOT ON THOSE SPECS

You are an idiot obviously were using micro sd cards cause its the micro sd card slot were having issues with in the first place
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using xda premium
No way but they make slightly different dimensions lol! Like a hair difference in size! The length of the manufacturer is their choice the main thing that's a standard is the width they can make a micro sd card 40 feet long and it would still work! Lol

Timeout, there's a rubber cover for the docking/charging input?? I have the other two, but never noticed the other. Am I missing something?
well the shaving idea seems a better solution then tape it. Not know how far must shave it but i will give it a try
yeah there is a plasticic protection clip but andcomes with it wheb get it out of the box. Probably idea is to protect the connector. Also this thing comes out to easy when work with the tablet. Probably same guy who enineerd the micro sd card slot. Hrrhrrrr
did the shaving test with gilette offcourse not work nice found out that sanding paper works more easy
By the way litle tip. Use the white original serted card as size reference(wnen not thrown away) and you have a perfect fit and card wont get out anymore by accident and need to remove by nail as it works with the original fill up the space card.
Yeah, NOT happy with the same card sticking out like this. Mine is in a temp sleave for a tf101 and that helps but I was very surprised. I originally spent time trying to figure out if the plastic place holder was some sort of adapter
I guess the rubber piece that covered my charging port might still be in the box, but I bet its gone. If it's not attached.....it's gonna get lost when it's that small
Hey guys, heads up: The razor/file system is not really safe. I just ruined a 16G MicroSD card by attempting to file down the back edge. I noticed that there was copper exposed, so I stopped, but I had already ruined the card. The Prime won't read it now. I'm kinda bummed.

That sucks Sorry to here that. Thanks for the heads up though.
I guess I really should have mentioned that you have to be really really careful.
I had a dead version of my exact card lying around so I tested it first. It is a hairs difference between perfect and screwed.
I think that my problem may be unique to my card, actually. I believe that it's an older SanDisk Category 2 card, so it may be constructed differently than most newer microSD cards. I barely took anything off of the outside edge before I hit the copper. I didn't even get close to taking the card down to where it would be flush with the edge of the Prime.
Yep, my wife lost her's within a couple of days with the prime. Add this to this list of design fails with the Bluetooth, GPS, power button... etc.
I think a bigger issue is the connector for the charger and HDMI. There isn't any support on on side of the charger connection and same on the HDMI. Feels like it will bend and brake every time I use the Tablet connect to charger or HDMI.

Yes it's super delicate this will be the thinnest tablet out for awhile because of this reason unless they use some sort of induction charging or some super weird charger that's super small and circular but then it would take all day to charge

Would you guys mind posting pictures of both successful and unsuccessful (too far in) cards that you have attempted to file down? Maybe this way we could all get a better idea of how much might be too much. I know they'll vary a bit from card to card but it could be useful to more people here who want to try filing down. Thanks!

I'm right on the trigger to finally get a Prime (sadly I can't find a dock anywhere, but one step at a time).
Anyway, I've been thinking that I'd like to get a sleeve for protection and easy transport, but that I won't always be using the dock. Connecting them is one option, but just to put it away and pull it out again when I'm not using the dock seems like too much of a pain (and unnecessary wear and tear).
So I was hoping that someone would have made a neoprene type case/sleeve/pouch by now that has a padded liner in it effectively creating 2 separate compartments. W/out this, you can't really throw both pieces in while they are disconnected I suspect w/out the chance for some scratching.
Has anyone else thought of this and found a solution???
Thanks.
OK, a little more hunting has uncovered what may be a good solution to what I'm after, but the pictures don't prove it. The description sounds just right:
-Semi-rigid, molded EVA shell designed to fit your iPad, iPad 2 , or 9-10 inch tablet
-The tablet compartments molded ribbing detail provides additional shock-absorbing protection
-Interior divider with its own securing strap separates the tablet from other accessories and keeps it in place
-Soft lining on interior divider helps to prevent scratches to your screen
-Interior storage for power cords, a wallet or phone

Wanted to share in case anyone is also looking, has their own suggestions, or feedback on this case...
Thanks.
I bought the Targus CitiGear Mini from BestBuy a week ago and really like it.
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Targus-CityGear-Mini-for-iPad-Tablet-Netbook/16480776
(BestBuy was selling it for 35$ and after I bought it I happened to see it on the shelf at Walmart (a mere block from the BestBuy mind you) a couple of days later for 25$, so I took it back to BestBuy and had them price match it)
It has the 'dual' pockets like you mentioned where you can put the dock in one side and the tablet in the other side. One slot is larger than the other, so you could also put the dock/keyboard in that slot if they are connected. The smaller slot where the actual tablet goes is pretty much the perfect size for the Prime as it barely fits. This is probably a good thing though b/c the tablet can't slide around what-so-ever while it is in there, so you shouldn't have to worry about it getting any scratches. The entire inside of the thing is the soft padded lining so you shouldn't get any scratches regardless, but I find it nice that the tablet is secure and can't move around in the first place. It also has an expandable pocket on the front where you can put your power cord, adapters and what not.
The CityGear looks like it might be a little bigger than the CaseLogic one that you mentioned but I couldn't be happier with the Targus carrying case. I think the CityGear might be easier to get into as you don't have to unzip it like the CaseLogic one. You simply unclip the buckle, flip open the cover and pull out the tablet. I have a case for my old laptop that you have to 'unzip' to open it, and it is a little bit of an inconvenience.

Thanks, I'll have to look into that one!
For anyone else looking, after reading some of the reviews to the link I posted earlier, I kind of got the impression that one of the "dual compartments" may be much smaller, intended for adapters and plugs... Just a hunch, but I wouldn't order it w/out someone explicitly saying it would fit at this point...
I have that one too. Works very well. It is my new carry-on bag. Much smaller/lighter than backpack with laptop and accessories.

I bought this from casecrown, it's awesome, and has loads of room for other bits and pieces.

I bought this case from Futureshop and it fits well.

It has 2 compartments and the larger one is divided in half where the back half fits the prime alone quite well. The front half would fit the prime attached to the dock or the dock separately. The smaller compartment has a mini pocket in it to hold an iPod or phone sized device with a space for headphones to travel up the strap and exit near your shoulder.
The only thing I didn't like (it isn't specific to this case) is that the USB charger wall wart has no place to go that is not a danger to the screen if the bag gets squished.

What accessories have you bought so far?

I was wondering what people have bought so far for their Note II. It seems like the accessories link for VZW accessories links me to the international note ii accessories thread.

What does the lil' droid guy do?
Flygrip(also comes with case): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2ryLjf0BJM&sns=em
Edit: If you order one off the flygrip website, enter qbking77 in the code to get free shipping. Looks like it might be one of the coolest accessories that you never thought you needed...especially with the size of the note. Definitely THE one handed solution.
64 GB SD Card
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
I picked up 2 "OEM" ebay batteries (N7100) I'm hoping that the batteries are the same for the Verizon version or I just wasted $24.
I also picked up a wireless charging module from ebay for $24 to try out.
However, I'm feeling like maybe i should have waited, just in case our phone doesn't have wireless charging fittings or has a different battery. .. Oh well. I just want our phones to get here!

Actually called Andru, sorry for misprint
It's the charging cord pull off base and his legs are the prongs. Comes with MicroUSB to USB cord to plug into Andru body.
Bought on Amazon http://amzn.com/B006U2NNBU
That is so cool. I don't need it, but I bought it. Awesome.
I bought these cases all together for under $25, crazy good quality for the price.
Oh and of course a 64gb sd card like everybody else.

I bought this case for less than $11 a week or two ago, and the price has apparently been raised since. But it's still a good value as it acts as a kickstand, wallet, case, and manages to protect the screen when not in use.

I think this is the best looking Note 2 case I have seen. However, it does not come in white
I mention it in another thread, but for those of you buying cases and such online have you noticed that some of the sellers are indicating that their products only fit the GT-N7100 (International) sub-model of the Note. Seeing as the Verizon version is identified as SCH-I605 I'm curious if there will be some slight variation to the phone causing some of the more form fitting cases to be slightly off in the placement of openings or button covers.
Here is just one such example... (check the description)

Thoughts?
I got a flip case included with my preorder but I'll be selling at as soon as it arrives, I also just got a Rearth case... Just need the damn phone already! Lol

There is absolutely no difference in the shape, size, volume, weight, etc between models. The only difference is we got an ugly Verizon logo on our button, and the rest of the entire damn planet does not.
Any potential issues with the magnetic cover (and flaps) on some cases interfering with the phone and/or the screen?
The Smart Dock. This seems like a must.
